HomeRiver has a location in Ft. Myers that manages our HOA. The old owner of the HOA's management company sold out to HomeRiver, which retained most of the employees but, ever since, they seem to care about one thing: fines, fines, and more fines.

They lack common sense and empathy. HomeRiver's group in Ft. Myers makes the federal bureaucracy look like rock stars in comparison. Their Fining Committee is a joke. The volunteers seem nice, but HomeRiver can and does ignore many of their recommendations. However, a person that visits the Fining Committee will never learn of the committee's recommendations. There is most definitely a lack of transparency at HomeRiver.

One person received a letter to pressure wash her gutters and roof. She sent HomeRiver a receipt for the work she had done not too long in the past. HomeRiver fined her anyway.

Buyer beware.

Recommendation: Avoid HomeRiver Like the Plague
