USAA - Unauthorized wire transfer

On January 4, 2023, between 4-5am EST, I received a notification from Google that my account had potentially been hacked. I changed my information within 5 minutes of receiving the notification. I then checked my bank accounts like I do daily and noticed that there was a pending wire transfer in progress for the amount of $4,989.00. I immediately called the bank and tried to get them to stop the transaction, but they had told me that it had already gone through. I then began a fraud claim on January 4, 2023, and yesterday, January 5, 2023, I received a phone call. Unfortunately, I missed the phone call, but called back immediately, and when I spoke with the Customer Service Agent, she stated that the claim had been closed and they found no evidence of fraud. I have never made a wire transfer with any of my accounts, and it doesn't even match my pattern of usage for the account. Please help. I am a disabled Veteran, and to be a member of this bank for 10+ years, I feel like they let me down, and allowed my hard-earned money to be taken, and for them to assume I had a hand in this crime.

Desired outcome: Please refund and make it right

USAA - No longer allowing members to purchase crypto

USAA has now put a ban on its members from purchasing crypto... I have use Crypto.com App for two years and have never had a problem. Now I am no longer allow to use MY DEBIT CARD... notice I am not talking about a credit card. Nor am I allowed to fund my account via ACH transfer! I have attempted to reach the company and only got an "im sorry, I can't help you, this is what we were told" from an actual operator and the twitter response is not any better. This is ridiculous to think that you can spend YOUR OWN MONEY on what you want! Are you freaking serious!?

Desired outcome: Allow debit card purchases for Crypto.Com App

clearly some errors in this post but I am furious with what I thought was a great service up until recent events.

Resolved

The USAA CEO's office reached out to me and expressed that the debit card purchases are, in fact, allowed and that I had received incorrect information. This phone call included a very professional apology as well. I will attempt to utilize the debit card process and see how it goes. I applaud USAA for reaching out so very quickly and providing accurate information. When they call back I hope to report that the use of debit cards is authorized again.

USAA - Customer service

I don't have any accounts with USAA now. I want to end my Membership. USAA says no. They have to keep my Membership for their records. Why can't they use my Social?

USAA - I am complaining about USAA roadside service

Unacceptable roadside assistance provided through USAA with inability to contact and speak to anybody who could provide assistance.

20-year old granddaughter needed tow service 6-19-21 around 5:30 p.m. for her Jeep Cherokee. We contacted the USAA Roadside Assistance on her policy who after collecting all pertinent information advised a tow service would pick up the car in approximately 1-hr. Two hours later was texted with message saying tow company had been cancelled and John's Towing & Recovery from Lodi, CA [protected]) would be coming from a location approximately 80-miles away and we should leave key in unlocked car and company would pick up and deliver to us. Kept receiving messages to say tow was on the way but no service ever arrived. At 10:00 a.m. on 6-20-21 contacted AAA who was able to tow the car within 40-mins. No contact have been received from USAA to determine if tow service was ever completed.

On 6-20-21 at 10:00 p.m. while driving another vehicle the engine stalled which required pulling to the side of the freeway, with the horrible experience with USAA the night before had to pay another tow company $475 to have vehicle towed.

This poor experience with USAA and lack of being able to contact and speak with anyone about this complaint is extremely concerning. USAA uses a 3rd party company by the name of AGERO to run their Roadside Assistance and they also do not answer calls but put you on hold for hours.

Desired outcome: Contact from somebody to help with this matter and out-of-pocket expenses.

Monday 8/8/22 I called for a tow, thankfully not accident-related. I thought I arranged for one Tuesday 8am via USAA/Agero text link. No show. Spent 30 minutes making several calls before reaching a human. A few times the phone call ended after going through all of the robotic call menus. Finally said "representative" enough times to reach a human. She hinted that tow wouldn't happen but I could arrange for a jump start. Had to correct the address via chat. Monitored the USAA ETA link and watched for a vehicle outside my gate. ETA finally said "On site" but there was no vehicle. Checked phone messages and texts and found out that oops - vehicle couldn't find me, phoned, then since I didn't answer, cancelled the service request. I tried calling the VM # from the alleged vehicle and it didn't answer. Inexplicably, inexcusably lousy service.

USAA - Car insurance

A woman with USAA hit our parked car. We have USAA. Been waiting over a month, no response. Driving a smashed car, broken lights because of her. Our car was parked at the gas pump, she back out fast and whammed my Honda van. She got out apologized said she did not see us teenage son apologized Now we are getting nowhere with USAA. Desired outcome: Fix my van. She was 100 percent responsible
