I applied through Indeed with Subway. I got an interview on Jan 31st at 3:30 pm. The weather had gotten icy and had snowed the day before. Severap places in town had closed. However, being that I was never notified otherwise... I showed up to my interview early and still eager.
I messaged as soon as I got to the store and realized it was closed.
After asking if the interview was still on, I got the response that the store had closed that morning and they'd forgotten to tell me about it and were sorry...
They rescheduled the interview for Feb 4th at 9:30am, in which I showed up early and excited.
The manager hired me and my start day was the next day (today) Jan 5th at 10am.
I pulled into the parking lot at 10 exactly and before I could even step out of my vehicle, the manager opened the front door and asked, "you're the new hire, right?" I said yes and she proceeded to shake her head in a no fashion and said no I don't think this is gone, I NG to work. You're late and didn't call me."
This is absolutely nuts. I have management experience, and this is absolutely uncalled for.
I want to talk to someone above her because this is wrongful termination among multiple other things. I will never be eating or involved with Subway after this if not handled.
Desired outcome: The Manager Jessica to be addressed and handled appropriately for abuse of power, unprofessional conduct, and discrimination.
