Please consider the recent charge of $289.99 on January 3, 2023 for a possible propane leak at my mother's residence. Her caregiver detected an odor at 4 pm she determined was propane. I was contacted and placed the call requesting the leak be investigated. The number I called was [protected] and a service technician was dispatched. The propane is used solely for gas logs which were not in use at the time. The technician reported there was no leak. My mother is on a fixed income and does not have funding for additional monthly costs. Thank you for considering this request.
Desired outcome: Reduce charges
AmeriGas Propane - Buy out lease of underground propane tank - no response
I have been calling Amerigas Customer Service every other day for 34 days now. I want to buy out the lease on my 500-gallon underground tank. This was the service installed by the builder on our new home built in 2016. The tank was here and we had to use Amerigas. The Customer Service group transfers me (every time) to Sales. I speak to Sales and they ask why I am calling them for a lease buyout. The Sales team either takes my name and number to have the District Office contact me or transfers me to the District Office. No one from the District Office has contacted me and when Sales transfers me to the District Office, no one answers the phone or the phone call goes directly back to the Customer Service Center. They will not provide a contact or phone number for the District Office near me. I called again today and the exact same thing happened again as before. This time the Sales team said they would transfer me and instead, disconnected the phone call. I also called Amerigas Headquarters and spoke to a receptionist who transferred me to the Customer Advocate Team reporting directly to the CEO. No one answered the phone. I left a message with contact info and never got a call back. I just want to own our tank. Can you please help me get this resolved. Also, I checked online at Amerigas.com and they want to read and agree to revised Terms and Conditions to access my account. I will not do this. They were revised 3/1/2022.
Desired outcome: Give me the depreciated value of the 500-gallon underground propane tank so I can buy out the lease. 3 years ago, the price quoted to me was $1900. It should now be much less.
I have the same problem.I want to but my buried lease tank and after asking 3 times I have gotten nowhere.Same out BS say they will call me back.never do.They have constantly changed me 1.00 plus per gallon over local market price.
I am having the same problem, I leased a underground 500gal tank system from a AmeriGas predecessor in 1997. The lease contract states I can buy out the system after 10 yrs In 2014 Amerigas offered me $728.00 + $43.68 tax. I did not accept it
I would like to move forward and buy back the tank. I can not get a response from Amerigas. I just want to own my own tank. Can anyone help get tghis resolved?
