The Kroger at 1800 Republic Rd in Virginia Beach has gone downhill, especially over this past year. The employees always look incredibly miserable and rarely acknowledge customers. The customer service desk is severely lacking in, well, customer service. They are always rude and snappy, and I’ve regularly been ignored and left standing there waiting for assistance while the workers gather into groups and laugh and talk amongst themselves when they clearly can see myself and sometimes others in line looking at them.
My most recent issue is missing credits in the cash back feature in the app. After I attempted to contact corporate via email and received zero response, my cash back amount went from $13.50 to zero. I sent a second email and still have not received a response. Not only am I missing multiple cash back credits, only one of which was high value and I was seeking credit for, now I have lost the entire balance I’d accumulated that I was waiting to cash out at $20.
This is completely unacceptable. The fact that no one has reached out after the emails and a couple receipt surveys I completed shows that neither store level “management” nor corporate cares anything about customer experiences or loyalty.
I have been a loyal customer for about 15 years, but as of now I refuse to ever shop at Kroger again.
Desired outcome: Fix the in app features, including both the cash back features and the coupons. Clean house and hire decent employees, especially management. And stop ignoring customers.
Kroger - frontend
This is such a clean wonderful store love the customers. It is the management that needs to be completely taken out and new management brought in. They have to many people on the front end who wants to act like managers. Some of the people who wear the red vest can care less about what goes on. They all sit around talking about their cashiers. I worked for many retail stores in my life and this is the worse store. If you do something wrong they do not correct you they just talk about you, how are you suppose to learn. Head management such as Casey and Patrick they have favorites that work the front end so they can do what ever they want. This store has some hard working cashiers that I see all the time but they don't acknowledge them. Please get rid of the management at this store and hire new management. I hate working for this place I want to leave before I clock in. The people here make you want to quit. I come in and remember that I'm good at my job and that they are not going to pay my bills so as soon as I find another job I'm out of here. Do not try to work for this store they are horrible. They need a reality check I hope all kroger is not like this I hope Wal-Mart moves into the old kmart store and takes all kroger employees
I Worked Kroger for longtime 743 store in Louisville i don't like when they hire new people as baggers and then they become cashier then they make them supervisors in a year or few month some cases they don't know what doing. ask them a question or can I take a break or lunch they get mad or make big deal out of it or just say you don't need a break most of them are very young I am old enough to their parents they treat me like garbage I think they should have to take test a hard test before you make them front end supervisor because most are horrible at their job anyway they don't know how to treat people or even customers also
