I decided to treat myself and bought a Groupon for their non surgical facelift. I went in, and the Salesgirl, Lily, almost immediately tried telling me things about my skin & allergies that I knew were not correct. She came off acting like she knew my body better than I did.
So, I lay down for the facial. Almost immediately, she tells what a HUGH change she sees in my skin after only a few minutes. She further tells me "dont scream when you see your face". There was nothing to scream about as the stuff she slathered on my face felt like glue. She didnt even try to remove all of the residue from my face. I took pictures before cleaning it off.
She immediately started pushing her AntiAging face & Neck wands onto me, without ever ASKING if I was even interested. She also made a point NOT to say how much each item costs.
When the facial was done, she stated "I just need your ID & Credit Card". Mind you, I NEVER said I was interested, NOR did she ever ASK me if I was interested. She immediately went to swipe my Credit Card for more than $6k. (Mind you, I only went in for a friggen facial from a Groupon special). She never even asked to see the Voucher, or did she scan it.
My Credit Card is setup with a $3k daily spend limit. So, naturally, the charge did NOT go thru when she swiped it, without my stating that I even wanted the stuff. As soon as it declined for going over the limit, she immediately asked me for ANOTHER Credit Card. When I told I did not, she asked if I could go the the ATM and take it out. She literally said "Come on, I'll walk you over to the ATM". Who does that? When I told her that I would have to call the bank for any charges over the $3k limit, she took my credit card and ON HER PHONE, dialed my bank. She them proceeded to tell me "I do this all the time"!
When the call did not go thru on her phone, she tried to show me how to make the call ON MY PHONE. I know how to use my own phone. The call didnt go thru my phone, fortunately, so I told her that I would have to go to the Bank and get the funds.
Lily proceeded to tell me she charged my card a $300 refundable deposit for her to "hold the items" for me. Mind you, I never said I wanted the stuff. I didnt catch on fast enough when she then asked me what the was that would go thru the Credit Card. When I made the mistake of answering, she proceeded to charge my card ANOTHER $700 - for product I NEVER said I wanted.
She then asked how far away the Bank was, and If I could run there and return quickly. Obviously she was obsessed with the money.
When she finally ALLOWED me to leave the store she did not give me ANY Documentation of any kind. No product info, and NO RECEIPT!
When I called to say that I was not going to purchase the items that were pushed onto me aggressively & that I would be returning the 2 items, THAT is when the male told me "We don't give refunds", and promptly hung up on me.
I will be filing a complain with Groupon so they stop letting this business lure unsuspecting customers in.
This is classic Bait & Switch.
