Hair Club For Men

It was February 4, 2022 that I arrived at the Haiclub salon per my appointment to get my head measured. I was told I would get two times a year but will have to pay $1695 in advance. The person that signed the contract told me the custom made hair will take longer time to arrive and I would get a temporary one.

They took some of my hair as a sample, measured the size of my bold head and estimated the density and gray content of my hair. I was told it will be light to medium density with 10% gray, afro style that matches my hair.

As for the temporary, I was told they do not have it in their salon but would get me from their branches and let me know.

On Feb 5, I called if I could come for the temporary system. I was told it was available and I could come to have it. When I arrived, the person in charge of placing the hair cut a big size hair mat to fit my bold area of my head and glued it. It was very dense, coarser and the color did not exactly match. It did not have a single visible gray hair either. With the understanding it was a temporary cover, I wore it and I was told to come again to reglue it when the glue fades. I waited for the glue to fade as it was too embarrassing to wear it in public. I wore my hat over it. After about two weeks it fell out by itself and never went to the salon to get it glued again. I decided to wait until my custom hair arrived.

on May 6, I called the shop on the status of my hair. I was told it has arrived. I asked when I could come to have it. The person kept me on hold and later come to tell me that I have to pay again $1695 to get it.

The receipt was not explicitly written. It says traditional membership (Xtrands+ Initial). At the time I paid the money, I did not clearly understood the verbiage of the receipt. When I asked, I was told verbally to mean that I would get twice a year plus the temporary.

Now I am asked again to pay $1695 to take my hair that was made for me which I already paid. Is this a rip off?
