Horrible service
Hello my name is Pete Norwich and I have been a HC client since March of 2023. I usually go to the Orange location in California. For the 1st 3-4 months everything was ok. For some reason the service fell off tremendously! There was (is) no follow up by anyone. I am appalled at the lack of service from your organization. I have called in several time...

I went in for a free consultation on 9-28-23. I did a virtual consultation with a doctor name Vanessa/Virginia, one of the two names. However, I made her aware I couldn’t agree to service due to a situation. She asked me for my personal information as if she was asking to just take down information for future reference. I’m thinking the clinic is offering...

Product never received
On approx January 21st,2023 , I visited the Hair Club located in Warwick, Rhode Island, where I was informed that I would be provided with a hair unit within 4 to 6 weeks. Subsequently, I decided to sign the credit application and agreed to pay $2000.00. However, after approx 7 weeks, I contacted the same individual to inquire about the hair unit. Unfortunately, I was informed by him that he had no information regarding when I could expect to receive . I was to wait indefinitely. It’s now going onto 3 months and I am currently making monthly payments on my credit card for a service that I have not yet received.it is cruel and unfair on my part to continue to have me pay monthly payments for a product I do not have in hand.
Desired outcome: You have failed to provide the hair unit , do the right thing and refund.
Color, highlight and cut.
2/17/23 was 1 month after having a hair transplant so I needed my hair cut, colored and highlighted. She told me she didn't have time to do highlights but would cover my roots keeping the highlights I had and cut it for me. When she washed out the product my hair was pink and red purple. She had to put a really dark brown on to cover it. Then it was a dark...

In December of 2021I visited Hairclub in Troy, MI for a consultation. I was pretty desperate to do something about my hairloss and after discussing a couple of different option and reviewing the scalp analysis, which brought up more desperation, I decided to go with the least evasive procedure... the extrands. I tried to understand what that was and this is where the misleading and misconception begun. the extrands are not supposed to cause any hair or scalp damage, according to "the used car salesmen" technique they use to lure desperate man in to the "membership" which means nothing... there is no benefit on being a member (at least from what I experienced). I paid 2,000 up front and financed the remaining 2,800 through Care Credit. The first appointment was set up for a month later and by that time the account was charged for the full balance of the 6 month contract and with a pretty hefty interest rate. According to the contract the cancellation period for the program was already expired before my first appointment and I complained about that at my visit. Still had no idea what extrands was. I felt completely stupid for getting lured into this. Next thing I new... my head is getting shaved and the extrands come out. to my disbelief it was a hair piece, a toupee! and now my head is shaved. Now I completely disappointed and upset. A glimmer of hope came from the hair stylist and I understood that when my har grew back that it would somehow be blended in with the hairpiece. At the second visit and me expressing how unsatisfied I was with the product, I was shaved again and finally was told that this is it, basically stuck with this procedure for as long as I'm willing to pay for it. For the six months all the visits and 3 hair pieces were included with the initial membership. The first hair piece faded out within 3 weeks and they colored it. There where problems with getting hair stylists and product so I stayed with this bad style and worn out piece for a long time. the rest of the hair pieces that followed, were just as bad. At the same time every product that I needed for home i.e. shampoo, conditioner, scalp wash? and a couple other solutions that had to be used was not included with the membership of near 5,000 dollars. When my time expired and needed to sign another contract, I declined and opted to go with as needed visits or "pay as you go". I asked for the price list of services and it was ridiculous and the price for new hair piece I was given was insane. At my last visit I told them that I had a consultation with Bosley for Hair transplant and I was given a quote. The same "used car saleswoman" came in and offered me the same service with a much higher price. When I told her that I had a better price, she left and when she returned it was explained to me that the price that Bosley"s had given me was incorrect and did not include any other follow up treatments... so no matter what route you take you are stuck paying for hair services for as long as you want hair on your head. I find that to be quite a great scam, a great deception and misrepresentation of service.
Desired outcome: just want to let anyone contemplating of using those services to fully understand what there in for before they regret it. It was a pretty expensive mistake made out of desperation and that is what them people are banking on!!!
Wig purchase rip off
It was February 4, 2022 that I arrived at the Haiclub salon per my appointment to get my head measured. I was told I would get two times a year but will have to pay $1695 in advance. The person that signed the contract told me the custom made hair will take longer time to arrive and I would get a temporary one. They took some of my hair as a sample...

My Experience
06/03/2021: I am a 40-year-old male, an ARMY Combat Veteran, and currently work with Fire Departments, ensuring their safety. I signed up at Hair Club (Dallas, TX Branch) in Jan. of 2020. Since this time, I have spent over $4000.00 and have not received one day of hair that I ordered.
My Story:
The first hair piece was ordered in Jan. 2020. It arrived at the end of March. They measured my personal hair and told me I was ready to apply the hair piece. They put it on me, then completely chopped it off. When I asked why, they told me I wasn’t ready for the hair style I was going for (OK, then why did they tell me I was ready?). This hair piece went completely bald, in the front, within 3 days. However, covid hit and I was stuck wearing it for a little over a month. At this point I was completely embarrassed professionally.
In June they called and told me my second hair piece was available. I went to put it on and noticed that it was not even close to the same as the first one. Color, thickness, fit were all completely different. I asked the manager what happened; he told me that the stylists will go in and make changes (lie). I was still new to this, so I went along with it not knowing any better, but thought it was strange that they would change everything without asking. They dyed it and sent me on my way. Of course, the dye only lasted a couple of days, so I was quickly back to looking crazy.
This went on with two or three more hair pieces. Each one came with a different lie about why it wasn’t the right color, fit, etc. He would tell me that “they have to personally dye each hair piece that came in. They usually have months to do this, but since mine just got there; they didn’t have time.” I said “so people can’t order a specific color, you have to dye everything?” “O-no, you can order colors, it's just covid.” (Every time I caught him in a lie, he said covid).
Finally in October, I realized that they had never ordered my hair. They were going into their back room, grabbing other people’s trash hair (I’m guessing that they tried it on but didn’t like it), then telling me it was my hair and of course charging me for it.
At my next visit, I sat down with the manager, called them out on this, and asked them to stop. We then went through the whole order process line by line, so that we would all be on the same page. The next hair piece that I came in for, would be mine. We were all in agreement. I left this visit bald, convinced that we got it right, and ready to receive my hair in Jan.
They call me in Jan. 2021 and tell me it's ready, I show up and see that it’s not even close to the right color. I’m blond, this thing was dark brown. He told me a few more lies about hair dye (trying to get me to put it on), and that was it. I have not heard from anyone since. I’ve called, they keep taking a message and telling me he will call back (he never does). I’ve called the corporate office, they said all they can do is tell the Dallas office to call me (they didn’t). I was completely nice and understanding with this company and they took advantage of me.
I would not recommend Hair Club. Read all of the reviews and take the negative ones to heart. Save your thousands of dollars and buy a nice hat.
Product & service
OMG! So I stuck with them from July 2020 to October 2021 & spent over $7000.00 only for my problem to be worse.. First of all the company must have a lot of issues if they can't keep a hairdresser, even though I have to say my best hairdos came from hairstylists from Oklahoma. So in 15 months I was satisfied with my hair 3 times. I had a Stylist shave my...

After a year of high-pressure sales attempts by the non-stylist staff at Hair Club of Atlanta to get their SMP procedure done --I finally agreed. It was a mistake. The technician that performed the procedure was not the issue. However, what Hair Club failed to disclose was that hairloss in the procedure area could result. Within 6 to 8 weeks post procedure my hair in the pigmented areas began to fall out and has not grown back. The day that I I formed my stylist of this, the manager forced me to sign a form stating I was "satisfied with the results"
I have tried to complain, but Hair Club is so political at the corporate level and outside of a lawsuit the company would not do a thing to make things right. I would never have this done again. Hair Club also states that the color applied to the skin will not fade for 3 to 5 years. Well, mine is fading nearly 50% in 6 months.
When compared to areas of equal thinning, the areas where SMP was performed is noticeably thinner. Hair Club tried to tell me that "wearing hair" caused this to happen. If that were the case the hair loss would be more uniform.
Desired outcome: Refund the cost of the procedure and pay for the lost Hair to be transplanted back.

Read full review of Hair Club For Menxtrands
Where to begin with this... I look up hair club online, they show you that they can get your hair back, considering I'm bald so I thought I go in for the free consult. I go to the appointment, meet a lady named Kim, very friendly, happy and nice person. We get to talking, asking what brought me in and showed her my scalp, she then proceeds to take some pictures and then uses something on my head to show me m bald areas on tv screen and I was pretty shocked of how bald I really was. Anyways she suggested xtrands for my type of hair loss and then showed me pictures of other clients who have used xtrands and I was pretty impressed and amazed at the transformation which put a smile on my face and so I decided to go with it. She leaves the room and gave me a price and I was very shocked at how much it was, I didn't have that kind of money which by the way is $5000, a lot more then I was expecting so I asked if I could finance it and she said sure. Anyways my time was up there and she booked an appointment for me to come in the following week but before I left she had me sign papers and not telling me what if was for. Following week I come in and was asked for a void cheque, as stupid as I was, gave them a void cheque not even knowing how much I'd be paying each month or if I was even approved, they took the cheque and processed it right away basically and as they were doing that, they gave me more forms to fill out which was for the financing. Then they had me go in a room with a stylist, starts shaving my head in the middle, applies something cold on my head, later found out it was glue, as that was happening, Kim comes in with more papers for me to sign and I asked what am I signing, she replied by saying, just for the work being done today which was a wash, cut and style I believe. The stylist then places this wig on my head. I had no idea what xtrands was and thought it was just part of the process, pretty stupid to even think that but I had no idea how xtrands worked. So this hair piece is now on my head and glued on, its cut, styled and to be honest it looked good but its not what I wanted. Couple days later, the wig was bothering me, it was really hot on my head, very itchy, I actually pulled it off a bit, came back couple days later and let them know it was bothering me, the simply said it'll take time to get use to it. After I left, I sat in my car looking at this hair piece and it just looked stupid on me, not even close to my natural hair, it didn't even look real. So later on I called hair club in Burlington, told them I wasn't happy and couldn't afford to pay for it, thought they would only charge me for the service that was done but I was told that they were sorry but nothing they could do, so I have been stuck paying for a piece of crap product for the last 5 months costing me huge money and I'm paying for something I don't even have. Hair club is such a scam and clearly run by con artists who know people are embarrassed by their baldness and the company takes advantage of that. I should get a partial refund for this crap, somewhere around $3000 back, that is more then fair.
Went to Atlanta location...completely bewildered and insulted...bad product...very embarrassing...they expect me to pay...no deal...
hair loss
I initially visited Hair Club For Women in Houston, TX two years ago because of the lack of hair around my hairline. During the first visit I was told by the manager and another representative their hair treatment and products are proved to be safe and if I was not satisfied they would correct the problem until I was completely satisfied. I was wearing a lace front wig at the time and asked them if their system was the same or similar to applying a lace front wig with glue. The manager, Kim, told me their system and the technology they used were completely different and "No", it was not like applying a lace wigs and glue (an absolute lie). I was then pressured into a $4000 contract whereby I would receive guaranteed satisfaction with products and services with my own stylist. It took about two months before I received a call back from them to inform me of my first appointment to receive my "Hair System." After a few months of visits with different stylists ( not my own personal stylist as promised during the initial consultation) I was told I needed a perm. The perm was incorrectly applied and/or the incorrect type of perm was used which caused my hair to come out. During one visit the stylists shaved my hair around the hair line to apply glue and tape. After complaining about my hair loss the manager suggested and agreed to EXT treatments to regrow and strengthen my hair then attempted to charge me for them . The last wig I received was so horrible ( brittle and hard) I refused to let them reapply it after being removed for a wash. At that point I was told by the manager she would order another hair system and contact me when it arrived. I has now been three months and the manager refuses to take and/or return my calls.
I am considering hiring an attorney to file suit against the company . I am also in agreement with others interested in filing a class action lawsuit against this ripoff company, Hair Club For Women in Houston, Texas, which takes advantage of women in a vulnerable situation who are seeking a means to improve their physical appearance.
charged me for no service and refused to give a refund.
I went in for a free analysis at the hairclub on Nov14th 2017 and the lady convinced me into getting a treatment worth $3000 She rushed me to sign an agreement which she didn't even give me the time to read and made me do a $500 down payment right there . after 7day after the lady calls me back and asks for a photo of my credit card front and back. It sounded fishy and I called my bank and told them the whole thing, they warned me not to do so.. hence I asked for my down payment back which they refused. I read so many similar complains of them rushing you into signing the documents and not getting good results . Hence I decided not to continue. It is a total fraud. I haven't even got a single treatment yet and they have my money some stupid policy. I want my money back !

hair club
I am currently trying to file a $4.6 million dollar law suit against them if they don't return my $4600 within 30 days.. I tried to get Xtrands done in October 2017 and was told I needed to do Xtrands Plus. I said. Okay. Come to find out. Thats just a toupe that goes on top of your head. I looked ridiculous. I came back the following day for them to remove it. They did and tried to get e to do surgery and apply the funds. I refused. So here we are. We shall see. I don't have time for False Adveritisment.in this video, they conveniently did not show anything that has to do with a toupe..

xtrands
Last year around this time, I set up an appointment for a "free consolation".I was told that they would tell me the reason behind my hair loss.
All they did was take pictures and tell me which treatments would fit me best. First I was told surgery would be the best option, but they decided that the Xtrands procedure would be better for me. Me being 19 years old at the time was willing to do anything to get my hair back. I was then showed the costs of the treatment (around $4, 400) and was pushed to open two credit cards to pay for the Xtrands.
I honestly felt like I was taken advantage of when I walked out the building, but still decided to give it a shot. My first xtrand treatment was scheduled for two weeks later. The whole process took about an hour and you could tell a slight difference in the hair. After inserting the Xtrands, they shampooed my hair and I could already feel them falling off...
They felt like little hard plastic hairs inserted into your scalp. I was embarrassed when my girlfriend would run her hands through my hair and feel little rocks inserted in my hairline. Each morning I would wake up to countless xtrands around my bed. I'd lose about 10 of them each time I took a shower.
They also don't warn you not to use a comb... My hair was impossible to comb and design. I've been close to crying because of this, but had no choice but to move on. I'm pretty much making car payments for a plastic hair piece at the age of 19...
I only went to two salon appointments and decided it was enough. Now that all the Xtrands are gone, my hair looks worse than when I first walked in for my first treatment. I followed all the directions while doing the treatments and truly regret the day I walked into Houston's Hair Club.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.
I had a fantastic experience with Hair Club and would highly recommend it. I've taken my hair loss very personally and I'm been insecure for so many years but thank God for Hair Club because now I can socialize and date with confidence ! ! Every location is different so it all depends on the quality of your stylist and the culture of the center. I"m sure not all locations are created equal but my experience in the Sarasota location was phenomenal !
I have same similar problem we hair club
I am being sued by hairclub after canceling my contract
After being a hair club member for 3 years I decided it was time to let my hair grow out . The glue was starting to really irritate my scalp to the point where I would get really bad infections . I approached Hank the owner and told him my situation and that I chose to cancel my membership he told me I would have to pay for the next 3 months which I did 8 months later I get a notice In mail that he is suing me for the remainder of my contract 9 months x 429 month I couldn't believe it ! I left on good terms paid the 3 months like he asked I only got services no new hair in in fact the last month I didn't even go I took hair off myself mailed it back and I still paid for the month ! I will call corporate office I don't understand how he thinks he can rip people off like this Hank is very dishonest . My monthly fee was 429 and he asked if I can pay cash this way he wouldn't have to pay corporate fees and in return he would give me extra services I even paid 2500 membership fee in cash . My husbands coworker went there and experienced the same thing Hank sued him in court after he gave him written notice of cancellation he got 850 from him and at end of court session he said to him with smirk on his face sorry pal you should have sent certified mail then laughed in his face .How does this man sleep at night I would never recommend Hairclub to my worst enemy
hair rental for men
have been a hcfm customer for 14 years and was never told I was only renting my hairpiece. due to recent income change i can no longer afford hcfm. in march this year i sat down with joe (mgr. oakbrook, il) to let him know of my situation. joe had me hand write and sign my resignation from the current plan i was on. the last service included new hair in april and they kept the previous hair piece for me in case i would return. i called hcfm - oakbrook this week 5/24 to let them know i would be in this sat 5/27 to pick up my hairpiece that has been paid for. joe called me to inform me that thay are not allowed to give them back, he said that they must send back to have an analysis done. he said its in the contract. this location has givin me other hair pieces befor to keep. i was not aware this was a rental center. i will be awaiting your response.
customer service
First of all, I wanted to give this establishment zero stars. I've been a client here for over 3 years. I usually never leave any reviews whether negative or positive, but, this place has given me no choice. Most of the hairstylists here are phenomenal, I said most. (Isabel) the others, just # you can pretend they really care about you. But in reality they just want you up there chair to take the next client. Most stylists dont even have the time to have there own lunch break and the company itself are more for quantity that quality. The quality of these dried up, cheap hairpieces reflect those who run this san francisco office. I understand they are a business, they need money to run it and pay for their binge drinking training classes, their rent, the employees and let's not forget about them. The manager, I won't say her name, she's more fake then my prosthetic right leg. She gets a little flirtatious in order for you to upgrade. Actually most of the women working there too. But they don't know that i'm not into women. It's just really funny to think they can sell or try to sell what little sex appeal they have to me and other unsuspecting clients. I just want all of you people reading this to really do your homework, yes it's expensive, and a pain in the butt to go here every time for a service. I don't regret going here to get hair. It has changed my life, and too busy to go here to get my hair done. I do miss most of the hairstylists there. If they're still there. I just want to say be cautious when calling or even trying to join this place. One thing they do, is make you look good, but feel good, not really. Only at the beginning you'll feel like they care and want to help you. Really, they rather help you get out that credit card or checking account number to take your money. Btw, it's not the money, never was, I could afford the cost, I just couldn't tolerate the rudeness and unprofessional receptionist representing hair club. There job is to answer phones. And best believe you will never get a recall back and if there so extremely bizy they promise they will return the phone call. That phone call will never be return. And most of her minions. So please, run away, far away! And don't ever look back, I regret every minute of my life doing what I did with hair club I though this company was professional
