Hair smoothening damage
I (Smita kohli) had visited Toni and guy Essensuals Salon Branch in Ananth Nagar (Address: 1234 9th Cross Sri Ananth Nagar, 2, Kamasanra, Electronic City, Bengaluru, Karnataka -560100) on 18/02/24 for a suitable treatment for my frizzy hairs. Their hair stylist Priya checked my hair texture and color. I explained to her all the problems in detail and checked for a possible solution. She offered me smoothening as a solution and stated that this will resolve all the issues. I double checked with her to ensure that she is confident about it as my hairs were already coloured. The stylist confidentally replied stating that I am in safe hands and accordingly she did the treatment.
During the course of treatment, she informed me that she is adding an extra product during the process which is related to keratin and will protect my hair from breakage. Also, I was informed that it will cost me a little extra to add the product and I agreed to it with a belief that this will help my hair but post the smoothening process, I realised that the stylist has damaged my entire hair. Was it over processing or usage of fake or expired products, I am not sure about it. I need complete refund of 13802 from the Salon
process till date and need further support in rectifying the existing damage caused by the salon staff.
This is very disappointing to see that the salon owner and the staff members are not bothered to accept their fault and alternatively expecting me to rectify the damage on my own. I am writing this email with the hope that this should be straightened up by bringing the matter into the notice of senior leadership and the concerned department. The entire existing staff is completely emotionless and incapable of understanding the pain, trauma and damage that they have caused to me . Since they cannot get my original hair back, they are solely responsible to rectify the damage and refund the entire amount.
Keratin treatment
I did my keratin treatment from toni and guy on march 3rd. I was happy with the services and much excited with my transformed hair.
They suggested their shampoo and conditioner though
After my first hairwash, its on march 7th my hair few layers of my hair completely turned to my orginal state-curly and frizzy. Totally disappointed with their services.

But they says for hair cut Rs. 700/- as a normal cost and since the staffs are not available but she says that an senior stylist and charges would be doubled for Rs 1500/- and since we have no time for waiting, so we have to accepted.

Smoothening treatment
I had undergone a smoothening treatment in Hastinapuram branch in Chennai. But the smoothening does not remain for 1 month also. I also went to the same saloon and complained it. They are requesting for more money. I don't ever know what to do. My hair got damaged and facing lot of hair fall and dandruff after the treatment.

Hair botox
I am writing to express my profound disappointment with the Hair Botox service I underwent at your salon Toni and Guy in Phoenix Marketcity, Bangalore.
Initially, I had scheduled an appointment for Hair Smoothening on Tuesday, 4th July. However, upon reaching your salon, the hair specialist recommended Hair Botox instead, emphasising that it would be more suitable for my hair's rough ends and that it would provide a chemical-free solution. Despite my desire for frizz-free straight hair, I was convinced by the specialist that Hair Botox would yield the same results. He took note of my hair's condition, including my last hair treatment and hair colouring history, which involved colouring my hair almost a year ago.
After spending 5 hours in the salon, I left satisfied with the results – my hair appeared smooth, straight, and the rough ends were trimmed. I was informed that the effects would last up to 40 hair washes and was recommended to use your QOD Argan shampoo and conditioner for maintenance. However, my satisfaction turned into disappointment when I washed my hair for the first time after the treatment on 10th July.
To my dismay, my hair returned to its previous state, full of frizz, roughness, and waves. It was nothing like the results I experienced immediately after the treatment. I promptly contacted your salon on the following day to share my concerns, and a representative requested that I visit the salon to assess the issue.
During my second visit on 11 July, the salon stylist assured me that the problem could be resolved. After washing my hair to confirm the frizziness and dryness, they acknowledged the issue and attributed it to the wrong heat setting used during the initial treatment. They apologised for not considering that my hair was coloured a year ago and also for not having me fill in the hair check form. Moreover, they mentioned that my wavy hair would not be entirely straight, contrary to what was initially promised. Nevertheless, they convinced me to proceed with the Hair Botox treatment for the second time.
Subsequently, they redid the Hair Botox and trimmed a significant amount of my hair once again. After this second treatment, my hair looked good. I kept them informed that I was travelling back to Australia and couldn't return to India for any further adjustments. The salon staff assured me that there would be no issues or frizz whatsoever.
However, upon my arrival in Melbourne, I washed my hair on the 18th July using the QOD Argan shampoo and conditioner, only to be greatly disappointed by the return of frizziness. Considering the substantial amount of money spent on the hair treatment (Rs. 12,000) and the additional investment in the shampoo and conditioner products (Rs. 3,000), it is distressing to experience such unsatisfactory results. Furthermore, the excessive hair fall I experienced during washing was also concerning, as it was five times more than my usual hair fall.
As I am currently in Australia and unable to travel back to India to redo my hair, I am uncertain of how to address this situation effectively. Having been a loyal customer of Toni and Guy salons in Australia for the past 7 years, I chose to visit Toni and Guy in Bangalore for my hair treatment, expecting the same level of quality service. Regrettably, my disappointment is beyond expression, and I now wish I had undergone the treatment in Australia to avoid this ordeal.
I am reaching out to understand how you can resolve my concerns. I would appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to your response.

Hair damage
Hair damaged due to hair colouring over process. After applying the colour hair became freeze and curled up and hair started falling like dogs fur and can't comb or touch the hair. The experts came and checked they said can't do anything now as your hair is damaged and dead.. I trusted the brand and went for the service paying huge amount and as a result my hair is completely damaged. I want my refund and the damage repair treatment to be done
Hair coloring
I am writing this to inform the worst experience I had from essentuals Tony and Guy, Venkitanagar, Pondicherry. I went there to color my hair The service was too bad and I felt the hair dresser was inexperienced. The process took a long time than usual. They charged 1650 + tax. Only after reaching home I realised the grey hair remains the same. The very next day I called them and asked. They dint even admit thier fault and was told it was my problem of selecting hair color. They are not ready for a refund and asked me to come over and do another service like facial or pedicure Is this the quality of service we expect from Tony and Guy? I need a refund of bill Rs.1950/-. Do the needful ASAP.

Hair coloring not done properly
I have visited Toni and Guy in Thodupuzha on 20/05/2023. I wanted hair coloring primarily and also a hair cut. The hair cut was ok, no issues with that. But the hair coloring result was terrible. I couldn't see any color on my hair and even their staff said the same to the stylist in Hindi (Because the stylist speaks either Hindi or English). I was so so much disappointed after the hair coloring. At the beginning itself I have showed the stylist some pictures of my expectations and explained him for long time what I wanted. I have spend 3 hours and so much money for nothing! I have chosen the most colorful pattern from their list; the red violet! But once the coloring was done, I couldn't believe that there was no visible color on my hair except some light shades at the back. No friends or family members recognized my hair coloring. It was the worst idea to choose Toni and Guy, Thodupuzha for hair coloring. I simply wasted ₹5500/- for nothing. I have gone to Toni and Guy with so much expectations as it being a reputed company. The staff has taken photos and videos of hair cut and hair coloring and told they would Whatsapp them all to our Whatsapp account on the next day. But we have not received any photos or videos yet! He took long time for styling my hair but he hasn't done the thing I wanted, proper hair coloring! Please see the result of my hair coloring attached below.
Desired outcome: Either refund of the money or do hair coloring again properly by a different person.
Working without a licence
So, since I worked as a manager at Toni&Guy Zagreb for 3 years, the owner did some really bad decisions, I eventually quit. I wrote a complaint, nobody answered, that was a year ago. Now the business is sold to a former worker that made me quit my job, she is completely unprofessional, overcharging and with mediocre knowledge. Since their licence is expired I am asking you, how it is it possible to have a salon that still run under the name od Toni&Guy? Learn how to be available for people that worked for you and please do keep your business in check it is not fair for other people and business. Thank you.

Keratin, facial and Detan on 9th April had to pay a bomb.
I have bee getting keratin done since 3 odd years now, it's my 4th keratin service to my hair but first time with tony & guy.
Everytime I got a keratin done I used to be extremely happy and flaunt my hair but I made a wrong choice of trying tony & guy this time assuming this would be best of all...
Today I washed my hair for first time post keratin n wash by the team, and I already see keratin treatment/ straight look is fading off...
Seriously I'm shocked.. Just with one wash for what I paid..? That's frustrating.
I also got facial and detan done, they do charge a bomb for this as well.
I have not seen even a slight change even though it claims to do wonders.
I now feel regular salon would do great as Im not new to facial or detan either...
I'm sooo devasted now. Never want to visit tony & guy again.

Service and very rude personal

I am seeking your urgent actions, attention and full investigation.
I made an appointment on the 13th of October 2022 at 10am for full colour or colour correction.
I came on time and was waiting for a hairdresser. He came - the guy with blonde foils on his hair and asked me what I want to do. I said that I tried to light my hair up and did foils, but the previous hairdresser made my hair quite warm and yellow is and I would like to change it to cold colour but do not go darker. I also said if it's not possible I'm happy to do foils again, but toner them with cold/ash colours so my hair are not yellow.
He said no, it's not possible, it's not achievable. He said he can do a darker colour only or some yellow foils, with warm colour just what I already have...
I asked if he can use a toner to make the colour and foils not yellow. I said I did it before and it's achievable. He made very unhappy face and said: "no, sorry, no away!" and left..
I was shocked as noone ever talk to me like that and I never had any issues with hairdressers. I booked this appointment only because my hairdresser is busy till the 29th October and I had time and wanted to colour my hair asap.
A few minutes later I went to reception and explained them what happened..they looked at me with no interest or care and said nothing at all. At the same time the manager came. He said that he wants to know what happened. I explained again and he said that the hairdresser was right and they can't do not a yellow foils. He completely ignored the fact that his hairdresser asked me to go away and didn't ask him to apologise.
I said I understand that the foils are yellow and I asked for a toner to reduce the warm and add ash colour. He said okay and asked another guy with brown hair to look after me. So, I waited again. The second guy came, I explained again, he said, sure, no problem, but you have to wait as I'm doing someone else's hair..
Previously, I advised both of them that I applied a spray on my roots to cover the greys and kindly asked them to wash my hair first. 3 girls there and 1 guy did nothing and had lots of time to wash my hair. While waiting for the second guy I came to reception again and asked if someone can wash my hair now to save their time and etc. I even offered to dry my hair myself. One of the girls said "oh, I don't know" and asked the hairdresser.. he looked at me with quite angry eyes and said no. I said the girl that it's important because the colour won't go through this spray properly and had an issue with it before..she said that she can't help me as that hairdresser said no..
So, I was sitting there and waiting again, but it made me so upset and I started crying as I couldn't understand what I've done to these people and why they are so unfriendly with me..
Previously the manager gave me his estimated calculations for foils, treatment, roots colour and blow dry and knowing that his hairdresser asked me to go away, there were no discounts or apology or even a glass of water offered.. his estimated price was almost $500 ... but I said okay to it..
So, at 10.30am the second hairdresser came or found me crying there. He asked me if I'm okay or I don't want to do anything anymore.. I managed to stop myself and said that I only asked to wash my hair first as I have a spray on it and a lot. He said that he has no time for it..and that he's helping me and he shouldn't as I didn't book him.. I said that he can't put a colour on a top of the spray and I know this as I did it before. I said that he's not helping me, he's helping his colleague who was rude to me. After that I asked him what is the reason for this very unfriendly behaviour and what exactly I've done? He didn't answer and asked what I want - leave or do my hair. I said I would like to see your manager again. So, the second hairdresser left.. the manager came, but completely ignored me and started to do another client's hair just behind me. Some women came after that and said that she heard that I want to ask her something. I said no, I wanted to see a manager. She said okay and left.
So, both hairdressers disappeared.. I was sitting there..being just extremely shocked and upset and no body cared of it. I felt like I have chance to get any service there and just left...
They didn't contact me at all after that...
I would like to make a complaint about the first hairdresser who asked me to go away. About the second hairdresser who made me cry and the manager who's done nothing about the first hairdresser behaviour..

On july 30th 2021, I visited Toni and Guy mogappair east to do keratin. Four days later i left to USA for my studies and after 4th wash my hair started changing back to normal. I called the salon to give my money back for this poor service. They promised me of redoing it once am back from USA. Now am back from USA, but they are saying franchise got changed so they are not responsible. We are customers who are loyal but how you guys can be so irresponsible for this? I need a solution or my money back.

Today at around 2.35 I reached the above location. I had prior appointment however when I reached there I was told that my stylist Imran was busy. I waited. After around 25 minutes I was asked to go for a hair wash and massage. I though it was complimentary to compensate for the wait. When the process started I was told that there was a Rs. 1500 charge. I said no and was then told that I may pay whatever I wished. Came out and again made to wait for around 30 minutes. The stylist then came and took me to the cutting area. I am seated and the stylist disappeared. After considerable time I go to the reception and ask for the manager. I am told there is no manager. Leave the location after waiting for around 1.30 hours without a haircut.
Tony and Guy in Lahore is badly managed. This is not my first complaint. Tony and Guy international is only interested in making money and does not give a damn about the quality of service being provided.
Discrimination & possible harassment
I visited Toni & Guy academy at M. M. Alam Road, Gulberg, Lahore with my wife and daughter for their haircut. They did not allow me to sit with them because according to them, "female customers were not comfortable" with men sitting in ladies section. It wouldn't have been an issue, until my wife told me that although she specifically asked for a female hairdresser, a male came there and was touching her without her consent. So the question is, why are male staff allowed to barge into female area and touch women's hair without consent.. while a family member suddenly makes everybody uncomfortable.
A similar issue happened again when I went for my haircut and my 4 year old daughter's pedicure. They didn't allow me to see what was happening behind the door. What if someone was making her uncomfortable or worse, sexually harrass her. Who would be responsible in that case?
Kindly apply the segregation policies to staff in addition to the customers.

Very bad haircut, hair colour and straightening treatment
I went to the Tony n guy Multan. Where i got 35% off on hair services. I took hair cut,hairdye and straightening treatment from senior artist. I purchase their products cz they said they will not responsible if i wont purchase product the results will not be longer. So i purchased. After 3 days. On my 1st wash as per their instructions
I washed my hair and my hair was same before treatment. There was no result of straightening treatment and pathetic result of hair colour. Looks like i got some "mehandi" in my hair and that was not in full hair even.. kindly resolve my issue and also compensate my time and extra money which will be spend on my compensation visit.

Hair damage due to expired products and heat damage as they don't know how to use their tools
I went for root touch up to one of your outlet in nellore which is in MGB Felicity Mall. The guy did not clean my hair before getting the touch up done. Then once it is done. He just cleaned it with shampoo and got the blow dry done.
I thought as you guys are professionals I did not questioned your treatment. My hair started to fall out the next instant and did not stopped till now.
I went the next day saying my root touchup did not covered my gray hair as it is not cleaned properly before getting the color in. I asked what are the products they used on my hair as I need to go to doctor and explain her what exactly went wrong for my further treatment. One of the lady said they threw the product out and I asked how can she say that as I have seen the tube they have used, it was not nearly empty. Then I asked what can be done to stop the hair falling from my scalp. She said she has no idea, not sure she is an employee there cause I was not able to see any ID on her.
So I asked her what is the next step, she started arguing that my hair was damaged already which is not true as the guy treated my hair clearly told that my hair fall which was present prior treatment was normal.
Now their boss came and trust me when I am saying this, I have not seen any guy who is as rude as he is. And he was yelling at me like anything. He said and I quote "Get the hell out of my shop" when I matched his tone. I had not lost my cool till then. I asked the people properly what went wrong because I wanted to explain it to my doc. I asked him why he was yelling he said he talks like that only and it is his behavior he can't change his rude tone just because you guys screwed my hair and now I have no proper hair on my scalp.
Desired outcome: Gray hair should be covered. MY HAIR SHOULD NOT BE FALLING OUT
Alpha treatment
They haven't told about the price of service before hand when I asked for spa, they just have done something and charged 5000 and I asked air bangs haircut they just gave me fringe. I think they should talk about the prices with the coustomer before the service. They concentrating more on poncho money from the customer rather than their satisfaction.
Unacceptable charge
Let me first begin by stating that I have a medical condition that inhibits me from wearing a mask. Secondly, I was forced to wear a mask at the Tempe AZ location, so I complied, attempted to make due by having my nose out (again due to my medical condition). I was then asked to place the mask over my face, in which I medically, can't do, and was charged a service fee in which I NEVER received. What kind of discriminatory service does this company offer? This is outright outrageous. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and state attorney general's office if a refund is not offered.

Daily conditioning dryer
In June of 2021 I bought a new Toni and guy daily conditioning dryer and was using it only twice a week. Today after only two months it just stop working. As a well known quality brand I would think it will live up to the 5 year guarantee but not even lasting three months is highly disappointing to say the least I would really like them to pay more attention to the quality checks.

This is Ariyanth from ARCOT. Today I took the appointment for my hair cut at the Ranipet branch. By the time I reached the salon they closed it and none informed me. I travelled from ARCOT to Ranipet just because we believe you. Is this the way you treat your customers? It is closed that's okie but isn't it their duty to inform me that they are closing in a while ? I am really disappointed with such behaviour. I would give no stars for such hospitality. Hope you give feedback soon by taking action on them.
