On October 1, 2023, I visited your store to make a return on five simple items with a receipt in hand for a purchase made less than seven days prior. Once with the customer service rep at the register, she stop engaging with me and begin looking around, and next thing I know there is a manager there who says I cannot return this item. It was body spray. She informed me is there a policy they cannot return perfumes. I did not want to be rude and point out the fact that it’s not in fact, perfume it is body spray. I moved forward and was quiet about it only pointing out that should be told to the customer before the purchases made as I shop there nearly every other day, a few moments later, I was told she needed to call the manager over again to check on the return of two other items. One was excepted. One was not. This was a facial serum female manager stated she could not return this item as it did not have a seal on it. I pointed out to her that it was sold without a seal. All the ones on the shelf had no seal and again this is not stated on the return policy, nor does it say anything the time of purchase the manager handed me a receipt back said she was sorry and told me to read the fine print on the back I made my return. The other items went to the middle of the store, began shopping and decided I would read after reading the fine print. It says nothing about any of these changes. They made right there at the counter embarrassing. In front of everyone I feel like [censored] be compensated in these items should be returned. Please contact me at your earliest convenience [protected]. Also, please know this store is horrible. They do this crap all the time I shop here all the time only on a Saturday it’s too bad because they could have an opportunity to make a lot of money here at this location Vancouver, Washington at the Vancouver Mall
Desired outcome: Returns excepted, and pay back of items not excepted
Ross Dress for Less - Service
While shopping at a local store in Vancouver Washington, my wife and I, were discriminated against because of our gender and marriage status. We were treated insensitive and inconsiderate without regard and belittled in front of other customers and store personnel by a store manager.
The employee, an assistant manager, was less than congenial to us. He was immediately aggressive to us and did not listen or try to compensate or empathize with a complaint brought to him. He had two large staff members come and stand in close proximity to us while we were talking to him, causing us to feel very intimidated. Instead, we were told we were causing a scene and needed to leave the store. Not once did I raise my voice or cause a scene. Instead, the employee became offensive to us. When I asked politely for his name, he would not give it to me. When I asked for card with the store managers contact information he referred me to a sign with a name and phone number. When I asked him for the store address he would not give it to me and told me to go find it for myself!
I requested through HR for an apology by management, but still, they have not tendered one.
Desired outcome: I am asking for an official apology, for discriminating against us, by the person in question and corporate management. To change their policy to prevent this in the future.
Ross Dress for Less - the cashier stole money from my daughter
My daughter had babysat for me for the first week of summer. She made $90.00 for the week. She wanted to buy some clothes so I told her I could drop her off at Ross since they were resonable in prices and she would get more for her money. I drove her to my Bank of America and took out $90.00, 4 $20 dollar bills and 1 $10 dollar bill, which I have proof of. I gave it to her in their envelope and dropped her off at Ross. She had no other money. She shopped and then went to pay at the teller. The teller rang it up and then just rudely stared at her without telling her what the total was.My daughter had to ask her and then was told it was $40.06. She gave her 2 - $20.dollar bills and the 1- $10 dollar bill. The teller took the money and gave her no change back. She told her I did not get my change. The teller said there was no change. She was claiming my daughter gave her 2-$10s and a $20. That was impossible since she did not have 2-$10s. She called me and I got the manager who was also very rude. I asked her if I could talk to her in the back so nobody could here it and she said there was nowhere private to talk so I was forced to say everything in front of the customers. I explained it all to her and asked her to count the till. She argued with me for quite a while and then took the till with the teller for over half an hour came back down and said it all balanced. I told her that what your teller is telling you is impossible because she did not have 2- $10s and further more the bill was over $40 dollars which she claimed my daughter gave her. There was a security guard standing there and so I asked him if he was allowed to watch the video tape and he said yes. The manager got very agitated and after a while of me insisting she said she would go get it ready. 45 minutes later she came down, never calling the security guard up at all to view it, and said that she saw 3 bills given to the teller but could not make out what they were and so we could not prove anything. I know for a fact that the tellers are trained to count the money back to the customer in front of the camera for these instances, that is the very reason they tape these transactions. The teller did none of this, in fact she claims my daughter did not give her enough money and so she took the change from on top of her register. My daughter had $90.00 on her and she knows how to count, she is 14. My daughter has 2-$20s left in her envelope from the bank so what they claim is a LIE and furthermore they would not let their own security guard view the tape. mmmm I wonder why? My daughter worked all week, her first week off of school and spent her money at this store and was stole from. They did nothing to rectify the problem. Obviously I am writing this for the principal and not the $9.54 that is owed to her. I will never go back to this store again and I would hope that you rectify this and look into who is working at your stores.

You shop at Ross. That is disgusting to the core. That business buys it's products from sweatshops and the fact that you are too ignorant to pay attention to well known facts make me think you deserved to be ripped off. THat's what you get for taking your money to the slave machine in the first place. Ross is one of the most disgusting and IMO illegal under the US constitution, corporations in the world. I can tell you from personal experience that they way you were treated is no different from how they treat their own employees, when I first worked at Ross once upon a time, I was denied my first month of pay, and never saw it, even hired a lawyer and got nowhere with it, which is why I quit. Any corporation that makes it a part of their financial plan to occasionally screw over employees just to get back a small percent of payroll is an EVIL COMPANY and should not be supported. Don't shop at Ross, do your local community, and the country at large a HUGE favor and hit up your local Salvation Army / Good Will, these days they are cheaper, have nicer clothing (lots of it is just overstock, not even used b4) and you won't be helping places like Ross secure their grip in our culture, places like Ross and Dillards etc need to be weeded out and removed from our society. Good riddance.
Go with you're daughter shopping next time. Bonding is good.
