At approximately 11:00 AM on 10/04/21 I was waiting in the middle checkout line. As usual, the store had only one non-self service line open.
The cashier carried on a lengthy gossip exchange with the customer in front of me while the customer in front of her was trying to check out, unsuccessfully fumbling through a handful of cards, obviously unable to use the keypad, and questioning the individual prices of various items. Instead of concentrating on helping this customer, the cashier kept joking and laughing with the other customer. This went on for somewhere between 5 and 10 minutes.
Two elderly ladies behind me were starting to complain and were snapped at by the customer in front of me. I finally had enough, grabbed all my items back off the conveyor and went through self-checkout.
This store has often had long waiting lines and is obviously under-staffed.
I was a faithful customer and saw the store go downhill, even before Covid. I will be switching.
User's recommendation: If at all possible, use the self-checkout and don't go there unless you have plenty of time to spare, doing nothing but standing and waiting.
Preferred solution: A new store to shop at, probably Piggly Wiggly on Mequon Rd..

Yes I agree about the terrible Pick N Save at 9200 N Green Bay Rd, Milw WI. Cashiers are not friendly, your lucky if there are 2 cashier lanes open. Forget about their order online food pick up. Online it tells you to stay in your car and an employee will bring out your order. Well, I waited 10 minutes then yes an employee came out but only to tell me that they don't bring orders out anymore, you have to go inside to swipe your card and get your order. What's the use of having pick up service then! Will definitely not be shopping Pick n Save stores anymore!
