Inadequate service
This trash valet service has been consistently disappointing. They have frequently failed to collect trash from my apartment as scheduled. Additionally, their response to customer inquiries is lacking, as they have not addressed the concerns I raised about their substandard service through multiple emails. The service also seems unable to handle more than one bag at a time; often, if I place a medium-sized and a small bag in the trash can, the smaller one is left behind. Overall, their reliability and efficiency are far from satisfactory, and I find it difficult to depend on them for regular trash collection.
Not worth the money
Honestly their service is terrible. Not only am I paying like $40 a month for it, but I’m paying $40 a month for inconsistency. There are days where they don’t even collect the trash and when there is a build up because they have not collected the trash, you aren’t even allowed to put all the trash bags out because of the limit. I don’t see a point in paying that money when I could it myself, as I don’t even get the option to cancel their services. It’s more of an inconvenience if I’m honest. I have called multiple times and filed multiple complaints but I still get the same service every month. If I could give them a 0 I would. I want my money back.

I moved into my complex less than a month ago, and my trash has been missed three times. We are forced to pay the $25 a month for this service. Our complex is pretty large, so you literally have to drive your trash to the dumpster when they don't pick up or are off. They pick up Sunday-Thursday and this week we were missed on 8/16, 8/17 (I called my complex to complain and they got it on 8/18) and 8/19 as well. This is already unacceptable. To add insult to injury, I SAW the valet trash truck driving away from my building, so it's not like they weren't on the property or near my building that night. Thursday is our last night of trash collection until Sunday, so when I get off work today I will have to take my trash that was missed last night, the bag that was filled inside the house, and whatever trash we accumulate throughout the day.

This is the worst service. They rarely do their job properly and the workers are allowed to do whatever because I had cardboard boxes that needed to be thrown out the company says they do it and the employee told me I must be new here. If that is not an indication to avoid this company then I do not know what to tell you. 100% not worth a single penny.
My garbage was not picked up over NINE DAYS in October and FOUR this month. I've REPEATEDLY contacted the local office and the local District Manager. They all PROMISED their staffing issues were resolved and my service would improve. This is the worst service for apartment community and a big scam. Unfortunately, Where I live Monte Viejo i was forced to pay for their service. When I moved in initially they never picked up my trash for over a month. Apparently there was miscommunication with the office. Not sure if the Office Manager at Monte Viejo attentional did that (Scott). However the I don't put my trash out much maybe couple times a month however they do a very good job of not picking up the trash or using any excuse to not pick up the trash. Very big scam. If I could live 0 stars I would however the system wouldn't let me I had to pick minimum 1 star. I should be reimbursed for every month as they don't render any service or add any value.

The trash service comes around 8 or 9pm. There is absolutely no reason to not pick it up. I paid for the service and I put my trash in the container with the bag tied. I did my part! It is so aggravating to wake up and leave to go to work just to see your trash still by your door. Covered in ants! I have called and talked to the district manager about a month ago. He said the person that is picking up my trash will now have to take a picture of my empty trash can every night to prove they picked it up. Considering they have missed it at least 8 times since then I doubt that it happening. This is the worst service I've ever had! It's a complete rip off. If my apartment didn't make us have it I wouldn't.

Same issue as everyone else. They are extremely inconsistent and skip us at least once a week though *** filed complaint after complaint. I dont understand why apartment complexes would use this company. Like others have said, its a complete rip off and scam.
Total rip off! I am lucky if my trash gets picked up twice a week, much less all five days they are SCHEDULED to come. But what do you want to bet they still get $25 a month from me? Absolutely. No choice for residents there. Do better people!
Paying for a service that doesnt even do their job half the time. My roommate and I got a notice on our front door that our trash bag was damaged and couldnt be collected. It was in no sorts damaged. On top of the fact that they sometimes forget to collect our trash for 3 days. Unacceptable and 100% not worth your money. Avoid this company like the plague.

This service could be very useful if they provided it on weekends, gave a wider window for collection, and had fewer restrictions on collection. I had double-bagged my trash and tied it as required and still got a note with agressive pen markings indicating my trash was too heavy. Valet Living should be an opt-in program, not forced upon residents with inconsistent business practices. If I could, I would stop paying for this service immediately and take my own dang trash out, but it is baked into our lease and our dumpsters are constantly filthy. Valet Living should not force its way into lease agreements and I should have the right to opt-out of their services and save myself time and money by taking out my own trash.

This company is ripping off the poor, disabled and poverty communities. They claim they prove 5 days a week pick up but you only get actual pick up 2-3 days. Charging $50 then an extra $10 for trash service fee. This company needs to be shut down. We are NOT allowed to opt out of this service but we have to continue to pay every month. Total rip off. They force tenants to pay for the services but then show up late, or do not show up at all. Write up fake trash violations and slap tenants with fines (e.g overweight trash) when there is no proof it is overweight. Trash cans provided are small and inconvenient. This service is a complete waste of money. Not only are the trash pickups NEVER consistent, but half the time, they don't come until well past 10pm, which means the whole complex has trash sitting outside their door for HOURS. That is, if they even bother to show up and actually take the trash. I have also witnessed the people coming to grab the trash bags skip whole floors in my apartment complex. Then, they have to audacity to claim a trash bag mostly full of styrofoam cups and was too heavy for them to take and left us a little note on our door. Scammy service and its just another way for you to be charged money.
I called twice and emailed this company about my trash not being picked. I get lied too about a manager not being available to talk too when I call. After several weeks nobody ever called me back. Unfortunately we're forced to pay $25 a month for a service that's provide when the company feels like it. I live at The Landings Apartments in Saint Augustine, FL we have Valet Living as our trash pickup company. Let me start by saying the service was free for about a year. Part of the "Priviledge" of living in this "upscale community" (as the landing describes this complex). Then recently a letter went out that the cost of this service would now fall to the residents. We wer not given an opportunity to opt out of the service nor did we sign a contract with Valet Living. That all said, Valet Living is anything but consistent with pick up as several people have stated in their complaints. Our building did not receive pick up for over a week. myself and our neighbors just kept piling up the bags of trash . I called, emailed, sent a text and filed a complaint!
The only garbage is the constant excuse and apology from valet living. Service is regularly missed. A few months ago, there were fewer than 5 days (within a calendar month) that my trash was picked up. After giving exact days and expecting a refund or credit for services not rendered, I was only given a generic apology. My only resolution is to try to take my attorney complex to small claims court, just for the *** amount I'm forced to pay for a service that isn't reliable. Highlands at Spectrum won't hold valet living responsible/accountable for what we're forced to pay and valet living doesn't seem to be preoccupied with missed services. If you have a choice, never get valet living, total scam.
This service is a definite scam and is not worth 25 dollars per month as people simply do not produce enough trash for it to be worth it. Currently my roommate and I produce maybe one bag per week so we are paying 6 dollars or more per bag of trash. It is ridiculous that there is no way to opt out of the service. Also, they are constantly changing rules on what trash can be left for pickup or how its left out. There is an absurd amount of effort that must go into preparing the trash for them to pick up that it simply is not worth the money. Sadly nearly every complex in the area has switched to using this scam of a company.

Scam company. I am forced to pay 25 dollars a month for this "service" at my apartment complex and they almost never pick up the trash. Every week I am left carrying bags to the trash compactor while I pay for a company who I suspect does not even show up some days. My trash is frequently not collected and I email customer service every single time to no avail. I receive the same generic response and no action is ever taken. The company employees have lied about my trash not meeting guidelines and I have emailed the company pictures of the bags explaining they do meet guidelines only for the very same bags to be collected the next day. They will do anything in their power to not do their job and will do nothing to make it right. I have had issues with this the entire year I have lived at this apartment and have been given no other options other than to pay for a service that does not work. Avoid at all costs.

For about 5 years I have had no choice but to use this service. The complex where I live has a contract with them, and residents are given no alternatives. The service is terrible. My latest complaint is over the past 2 weeks the trash was not picked up for the entire complex on a Sunday 2 weeks ago, thats 3 days of garbage. The issue was there was an emergency that night for the collector. Monday was fine, then Tuesday was not picked up again. I called the XXXXXPICKUP number to complain, well they changed their answering service. After 30 seconds on hold you are given no choice to continue to hold, but can only leave a message for a call back. I don't have time to wait for someone Im paying to call me back, I didn't leave a message that day. Fast forward to last night, Sunday night, again my trash along with my neighbors directly across the hall from me was not collected. I called just now and someone answered without giving her name. After talking about the issues for a short while, she hung up on me in mid-sentence.

Valet Living is a SCAM
Valet Living is a SCAM. I am forced to utilize their service as per my lease and pay $35 a month for the "convenience" of having them pick up my trash. Recently, they failed to pick up three times in one week. A few months ago, it was four out of five days. They don't pick up on Fridays or Saturdays so it's ridiculous that they miss three to four days out of five. They are taking my money but failing to provide a service, which is FRAUD. Every time they miss my apartment, I have to call their main number. They call back, apologize and put me on a list to ensure they pick up my trash, which they should be doing to begin with. I think a class action lawsuit is in order due to their violating the terms of their contract with the complex in which I live. They will respond to this complaint with the standard response they send everyone. I do not have time to call or email them, refuse to pay for a service that is not being provided and will not take out trash I am paying Valet Living to do. How are they allied to continue to scam people?

Terrible service
Terrible service. They don't pick up unless they feel like it and leave a note with nothing marked as to why they didn't pick up.They toss a bag on the ground if they don't want to take it and finally leave a note marked "no bags on the ground". The whole complex (and many here) complain about them but nothing seems to be done. We complain to the district manager and the apartment complex manager and they just keep saying let us know what the issue is after it's been in writing many times. And it doesn't get better. It's not a benefit nor is it a convenience when you come out the next morning and it's still there or tossed in front of your door. They don't even comply with their own guidelines. They said COVID is the reason for not picking up but they wear flimsy paper masks and don't have any PPP equipment to protect them as they're touching everyone's bags and trash bins spreading germs from one unit to the next. Recycling isn't even an option since they toss everything in the truck together. They do not separate it. Really bad service with no improvement.

Employees for Valet Living do not do their jobs. They have left the trash (mine and my neighbors) without giving an explanation. When I first moved to my current apartment, I had been told to leave any extra bags in front of the bin, and Valet Living use to pick up all trash. Now, however, Valet Living sometimes does not pickup. Tonight, VL gave an explanation (first time to leave an explanation) of a concern for bags on the ground, but this explanation was left only after leaving the garbage behind for two nights in a row. Then I was told via a note on the door very late at night, too late for me to walk the trash to a dumpster. Also, they have dropped trash out of their trucks, leaving trash along the road on their way out of the apartment complex. Finally, they do not respond to communication. This has changed. Communication from them use to be quick and professional. Now (this being my third time using their chat/ message), they simply ignore messages. Their service is expensive, and now we are not getting much of a service. Poor service from Valet Living is the reason I will move rather than renew my lease when the time comes.

I'm undergoing the same terrible experience with this company. To be fair, I've lived in the same housing complex the last two years, and there have been a few month stretches, when the trash WAS picked up, per the contractual agreement (due to the prior leasing manager's constant complaints to Valet Living on my behalf). It was obvious early on, the local ground crew's pickups were only occurring, until their supervisor stopped watching my apt unit, in particular. 5/19, I tried e-mailing Valet Living directly when the latest trash pickup was ignored, and was able to get an email response in 24 hrs. That bought me two weeks of trash pickup... then things went back to garbage just being left on my doorstep (no violations of the bagging requisites). My last e-mail (6/1, to both Valet Living and the current apt. management team) has yet to be answered: I summarized the spotty quality over the two years in this apt. complex, then proposed that Valet Living stop charging me (currently scheduled at $48.88/mo. vs. last year's $22/mo.). I also would rather take my own trash out, than be burdened with paying for spotty/nonexistent service.

Valet Living provides doorstep waste collection, which is a convenient service in concept. At $25 per month, I initially found the fees to be minimal in comparison to the benefits. However, after having the service for almost two years, I've found the quality to be inconsistent. The inconsistencies are compounded by the lack of responsiveness and accountability from management in ensuring that quality standards are maintained by staff. On one occasion, after contacting the office without success, I waited for the Waste Collector to arrive to find out why my trash was not being collected. I was informed that--despite the Collector having gloves near his elbows-- a collapsed cardboard box protruding from the bag was considered by Valet Living to be a bio-hazard. He also informed me that he had already spoken with his supervisor, who validated this perspective. I took this as true, assumed I was being unreasonable, and re-bagged the trash. Then, they left another bag that was double-bagged and did not violate any of the steps listed on their door hanger. I've inquired with management to understand why this bag was left, but judging from past experiences, I do not expect follow-up or action.

This business needs negative stars. First off let me say I am forced by my leasing company to pay for this service until my lease agreement is up. This service is a rip off. My complaints have made it all the way to the district manager because I am tired of paying a company for a service they won't perform. The district manager said oh I will put a tracking on your address and the rep picking up the garbage will have to show they picked it up. Let me say this didn't happen. I can say not one person from their company has been to my door to pick up the garbage since 04/18 its now 04/26. Yes I know I am capable of taking out my own garbage and wind up doing it every morning since my garbage is still sitting there from the night before. Yes I know when your reps come to my door because your trash can is sitting right under my ring camera. No your reps have not left any notes on my door stating why they didn't take it, because no one has come to the door. Your service sucks, I would really appreciate my $150 back that I have paid you since November since I know for a fact in this time frame you have maybe picked up my trash a total of 20 times. This service is ***! If your complex requires you to use this company find a different complex because your will get ripped off. I hope this company knows making people pay for a service you don't perform is FRAUD!

Honestly they come when they feel like it. Which in my case they didn't pick up my trash for a whole week. Since Sunday, (which is the day of the week, they begin to service our community) My bag has not been picked up. It wasn't picked up Sunday/ Monday and I had one bag in there. As days go by I decided to call the customer service line and put in a complaint about not having my bag picked up, which then I received a call from Felicia on Wednesday of this week at 6:33pm in regards to my complaint, and we had an entire conversation about, the way trash is supposed to be set out, which then I did admit after the couple of days (obviously), we had accumulated more trash due to the negligence of them picking it up. Felicia, who I'm assuming is the manager I'm assuming, stated that she will have her people pick up the trash this one time, and then have it monitored because they did not have any photos or anything as to why they did not pick up our trash prior to that day. Which once again they failed to do. Also, I notified my apartment, they also said that they had other people that have complained about their trash not being picked up from other buildings, and from what I also see, they did not pick up from my neighbors as well. I appreciate the services in which they do, but it is something that is added to my rent monthly, that I do not have a choice to remove, so if I'm having to pay for a service I would like to receive them.

Today is the 5th day with no trash pick up. Bag(s) are put out during the time you designated and we wait till long after the time to bring them back and the trash is still there. This complex forced tenants into this program saying what a great service and how much time it saves (really?) that you should go do whatever you need to and don't worry your trash will be taken care of. It is all BS. I spend more time now as a direct result of you being involved than I have ever spent regarding my trash. valetliving is nothing more than a scam.If you call the leasing office they direct you to valetliving. You seldom if ever answer your phones and on the chance you do, you refer us to a regional manager who does not answer calls either. 2 nights ago I heard the trash guy and saw him off by another building, still no trash pick up that night. Nothing but the run around. All talk no action, who needs the inconvenience and unprofessionalism this scam of a company provides. We should be refunded monthly if you don't do your job.

Please if you are reading this as a resident who has been forced by your apartment complex to accept I would strongly suggest that you file not only a Complaintsboard.com report but should also file with your State Attorney General and the State of Florida Attorney General (where valet living is registered). Our state Government is responsible for investigating this company. valet living needs to be put out of business. By the way your local community Apt complex is liable and will be investigated as well by your state AG.

I live in West Chester, PA at Golf Club Apartments. I pay for trash service from Valet for trash pickup Sunday - Thursday.
I have continually had issues with my trash not getting picked up. I have called my rental office manager and have written emails to complain about the multiple times my trash has been missed. I have been placed on what they call "tracking" which should, per the company, confirm that my trash pickup is not missed at my home. I have been placed on the tracking list multiple times because of how many times this has happened.
One of the times I was pulling up to my townhome and visualized with my own eyes, the employee deliberately walked by my house and skipped it. He left the trash there, got into his truck, and moved to the next building. I walked down to the next building to where he was and stopped him. I told him I had seen him skip my trash and asked him why. His answer? "Oh, sorry, I'll do better next time."
Every time I complain, the company does respond quickly with an apology and usually states they will track it. My trash is picked up for two weeks religiously, but then it goes right back to being missed.
At one point, in correspondence between my rental office manager and Valet Living, Valet Living stated, "I would like to purchase a gift card for (my name) inconvenience. Kindly provide her full name, email address, phone number, and home address so that I can order the AMEX gift card. She will be sent an apology along with the gift card." I never received anything mentioned.
What I am furious about is that it is to the point that apologies are not working anymore. I am getting ripped off. When I have photo proof that I am not getting services that I paid a company for, I should get refunded for days missed. If I didn't pay the company every month, we all know what would happen. Yet if they don't give me the service I pay them for, an apology, again and again, does not make up for the money that is being taken from me for services not rendered.

I live at Landmark at Prescottwoods in Austin TX. For all of March 2023 and so far into April 2023, my trash has still not been picked up and I've been sending emails and support chatting for a month now. None of my emails are being answered at all. Only the online chat support will communicate back and they can't seem to get anyone to look into this. The trash pick up guy has left my trash at my door for over a month saying it's overweight when I went out to ask why. It's double bagged and i bagged it a third time for the next night and he still left it. The bag is 13 gallons, it's just over halfway full, and it's under 20lbs. I dont know what else to do. It's mandatory at my complex to pay for this service. So I can't cancel payments and do it myself. I don't know what to do when I'm following all regulations. Which all regulations are listed on the ticket and as you can see from the pic, the bag fits all requirements.

We recently complaint because they kept leaving trash on our bin. We have all the dates recorded and pictures as well. Came Sunday 6/21 we left the trash out our bin was gone. We spoke to our neighbors they all had their bins except for us. The guy that picks up the trash said he wasn't picking up all our trash because there was too many little bags and he couldn't take them all at the same time. He requested for us to use one big bag so he can take out the whole trash. When I made the 2nd complaint and I advise them we use the small bags because we're not wanting to spend extra money due to the covid 19 hardship but the weight limit is within the regulation 25 lbs or less. The manager who wrote us stated they're requirements was to put trash on a 25 gallon bag. Per their pamphlet it is stated to use bags of under weight of 25lbs or less. This is misinformation given to us when they are telling something but their pamphlet says other regulations. I had to put cameras outside my apartment now for security. We did catch the guy again taking a picture and scoping the apartment out and while walking out from picking up the neighbors trash he had a mean look and starred at the camera until he was gone. I feel threatened by this specially since I have 3 kids. I would like to compensated for everything I had to go through with my family. Doing their job and getting caneras because of them.

This is a valet trash service that has contracts with nearly every apartment complex around, so that if you live in apartments you pretty much have to pay for their services. They advertise that they pick up your trash 5 nights a week, and this adds a $25 fee to the lease. It is not optional to pay for these services. I have lived in my current apartment for a little over a year. They have consistently failed to provide the services they advertise, normally picking up 2 or 3 nights a week at best. More recently, they have just stopped doing it. I have called and requested tracking, which briefly solved the problem in the past. Now, even after being told by valet living customer support by both phone and email, nothing seems to work. After every pick up night, my trash is still there in the morning. This is not reasonable at all. I am being forced to pay for services that I do not receive.
This is not the first time I have contacted Valet Living. They are scheduled to pick up trash Sunday to Thursday evenings. My trash hasnt been emptied since 12/26/22. I am handicapped, 74 years old and have broken toes. I use this service but it is inconsistent and never done every day. The person tears off the lid and I have to retrieve it plus trash isnt removed each day it is scheduled. I pay, so do 300 other apartments, $25 a month for this service. What a scam they are running. Most residents threw their cans in the dumpster because of the poor service. We were not given a choice to accept this service. The cans appeared and now it is in our lease. Its no wonder we have rodents in the area! If the company cannot keep employees, my money should be refunded. I have had this issue since the beginning and I am very angry no one contacts me or corrects the problem. The employee who empties the can (on occasion) only collects my trash out of the 12 apartments in this court so it isnt a question that he misses it. He comes sometimes at 11 p.m. and it sounds like someone is trying to break into my home. No concern for how that scares a person when he tosses the can against the apartment.

Since Valet Living has started "picking up my trash", there's been non-stop problems. I have worked with the company and cooperated with everything they ask, however, my trash is still being missed. I have only put out 1-2 kitchen sized trash bags in the receptacle they provided. My trash is out on time. I've filed many complaints with them and they might "track" my trash can for a week or 2, but then it goes back to them missing my trash again. I'm single so I do not have trash to take out everyday. In fact, with all of the problems I've had, I frequently take out my own trash. I have talked to neighbors and they have had similar issues. I am unable to opt-out from this "service". Quite frankly, since I do take my trash out on my own most of the time due to being missed so frequently, I should be able to opt out of this or they can pay me the $42/month. I should not be expected to pay for a service that is not being provided. I reached out to the company again today after my trash was missed again last night. I called the customer service line and waited for 17 minutes and 9 seconds and was hung up on. I called back and the customer service rep (I think her name was ***) apologized several times. She doesn't need to apologize. She's not at fault and I told her that I'm not mad at her but rather the lack of consistency and concern by the people that should be servicing my area. My apartment management gave *** guidelines for valet living garbage pick up which I follow. However, the man that picks up the garbage has his own set of rules. He won't pick up if he can't see the garbage from the road whether the light is on or off. He will not pick up boxes that are broken down. And he will not pick up if the lid is closed. My garbage is missed at least twice a week I only put it out once or twice a week I'm asking for a refund every week that it is missed it is not fair that we can put garbage out Sunday through Thursday and he picks it up whenever he feels like it. On April 5, our trash was put outside of our door weighing no more than 25lbs pounds and having only 2 bags, per the rules of Valet Living. The trash was not picked up. Other units trash were not picked up as well. This is a normal occurrence here at The Clarion. I contacted the District Manager, via his personal cell phone on 4/6. He stated that there was no report filed stating why my trash wasn't picked up. He then stated that he would make sure that it would be picked up with that night's trash. I also sent him photos of the trash that was left from the night before. 4/8, my trash was not picked up again. The driver arrived at approximately 8:37 pm, yet my trash was not picked up. I emailed the corporate office regarding my complaint the same day. I have had previous complaints about trash pick up with this company in the past. The manager actually required the drivers and pickup men to take photos of my trash can every night proving that they had picked up my trash. Sometime between then and now, that has stopped, and my trash pick up schedule has also been altered.

Trash pickup for my apartment complex can happen anywhere from 6:00pm to 12:am Sunday night thru Thursday night. They picked up the lower levels trash Thursday night and did not pick up the upper level. Sunday night rolls around and they pick up everyones trash (even the unit that had 3 bags instead of the two *** except for mine. There were no holes in my bags. They werent leaking or even very heavy. I cant just pick up my trash can and walk it all the way to the front entrance to the compactor or put it in my car. I called and spoke to the local representatives in the Dallas office and complained about my trash not being picked up for two days and a tag left behind stating that my trash bag was not tied in a totally separate incident.. The manager informed me that according to her notes, my trash bag was ripped.. I told her that the tag that was left behind illustrated that my trash bag was not tied. My bag was tied and not ripped. Once having pulled it in the next morning after it was left, I noticed that the string had been torn by the employee trying to get my bag out of the trash can. I noticed multiple bags left on the ground, not in the trash can. The manager stated that bags can be left on the ground as long as they are tied. This is totally opposite of what is on their tag that was left behind. She was simply trying to justify her employee's action in leaving my trash behind but picking up other people trash that did not meet their guidelines. I called the corporate office and complained because I am being singled out. I was told that someone would call me from their corporate office but no one ever did. I sat my trash bags out last night and both were tied but this morning I observed one left behind. Have talked to my property managers, have called the Valet Living number dozens of times, asked to speak with a manager multiple times...for 2 years. Zero useful contact info for local managers on their website or social media. Same guy who regularly does this on purpose in my apartment community. I've tried asking him nicely, my pickup is supposed to be tracked with pictures proving a pickup (after TWO years just found out today that was an option). Found out in last month or two that I could request my service request be bumped up to a manager (also after TWO years) which is supposed to guarantee a manager response. Managers don't call back, trash is left outside and it attracts bugs. There's a trash bag outside right now that's been there since this past SUNDAY. Today is WEDNESDAY. I called "customer service" again today; AFTER that call...my trash was purposefully not picked up again. Customer service agent recognizes my voice and phone number, always so nice offering apologies for this shocking TWO YEAR PROBLEM. Says this is not who they are as a company...but after TWO YEARS, this is who they are...a company with systemic problems who isn't worth your money. Where are the district managers who don't follow up on complaints as they are supposed to? I want Valet Living to do the job they are paid monthly to do by me and my neighbors and that I am not allowed to opt out of in the apartment community in which I live. I am charged monthly for this service to pick up my trash four nights a week. I live on a corner unit facing the parking lot, just up off the curb from the parking lot. The valet trash people have to literally pass my apartment in order to get to trash for at least three buildings. Then they have to walk past it again on the way back from collecting trash from my neighbors, including those in the same building. They often go up the stairs to the apartment above mine to collect their trash, and yet just leave mine for no reason. I have followed all of their guidelines. My trash is out on time, placed in the designated receptacle, tied correctly, and always the proper weight. Week before last, they skipped me twice. A day after that, I simply waited for them, chased them across the parking lot which is hard for me because I am partially handicapped, and made them pick it up (politely). But tonight, they walked right past my trash again, collected the bags from my neighbors, and deliberately left mine--yet again. I am paying for a service that I am not getting, and cannot take myself due to my condition. However, I risk incurring a lease violation leaving it out because it was not picked up, so I either have to drag it back inside, or ask my complex to come pick it up. I either want to be released from my portion of these charges, refunded a week (four days that I was skipped recently) from Valet Trash because of the recent week I had to drag my trash back in, or have them actually start doing their jobs. This company operates in many cities. I'm in Jax. Fl. I WANT MY MONEY BACK! Without resident request or choice the company contracts with apartment complexes to pick up residents trash from their door DAILY. But they rarely ever do. We are forced to pay them a $25.00 monthly fee in addition to rent. On average mine is picked up 2 to 3 times a month. They pick up randomly, hit and miss, as they feel like. They ALWAYS have an excuse like "you cant have multiple bags or its too heavy". But the reason for this is they dont pick it up daily so by the time they do come theres 2 to 4 days worth on the porch. They use this as excuse to leave it longer. Often we have raccoons, oppossums, foxes and ferrel cats on our porches opening and going thru trash bags as we live next to a woods and creek. THIS CAN LEAD TO DISEASES AND OR MEDICAL ISSUES OR ANIMAL ATTACKS. I WANT MY MONEY BACK! Its now been a year or more of this. I have talked /texted to the mngr Dominique several times, to no avail. He lies and says he'll keep track but no improvement. The employees are usually just his friends or people they find around town who just need a bit of cash. Never the same people week to week. Some of them told me and others that they "dont have time to get every unit daily because they have other complexes too" or "they'll get it if we bring it to the curb". But we're PAYING YOU TO PICK IT UP AT THE DOOR - AS ADVERTISED! Many times they take it from the porch and pile all 12 units' bags on the curb in front of the bldg and leave it for days. I live at ***. As part of our contract with the complex we are required in our rental contract to have our trash out Sun- Thurs with exceptions on Holidays for no trash pick up. Valet trash has a contract with the owners of the complex and we are billed monthly directly from the owners of this complex. Valet trash does not own up to their contract with Heritage they are not picking up the trash from the complex when it's required. The trash is set outside our unit starting at 5pm. Valet starts picking it up around 8-8:30. Units including mine have been missed at least once a week as a tenant we are not allowed to use the dumpsters on the premises only our containers we have been provided. If it's a Thursday that has been missed the trash sits until Sunday. Sometimes they don't come or either miss picking up the trash again on Sunday. We have had problems with the squirrels getting into the trash when it starts to pile up outside our door. The property is filled with trash from bags being ripped open by the squirrels. I have complained to Joel the supervisor at Valet trash XXX-XXX-XXXX he may send someone out to pick mine up and apologetic. This keeps happening over and over again too many times to count. I told Joel if this continued I would be contacting the Complaintsboard.com because we as tenants are being billed for a service that Valet trash is not providing. The office and property manager are aware of this problem. Joel is not holding his part of this contract up and the problem needs to be resolved. I come home late at night 9:30 when I circle the lot for a parking spot there are bags of trash that has fallen out of their truck left in our parking lot. 12/01/22 Was the last straw.Valet Living are neglectful and lack professionalism. We caught their worker on our ring camera refuse to take out our trash, a service that we are charged $35 for whether we have trash that day or not. And are charged an additional $50 everyday the trash is not taken out. There employees have even dragged our trash can and knocked it over past the limit of where trash bins are allowed to be, which will also result in a fine. This has happened on more than one occasion and we have video footage and pictures of each time this has happened, but the company refuses to address the issue. Thank god we were home and not away on vacation yet. If we weren't out trash would have been outside for weeks collecting an expensive fine for each day and multiple lease violation for failure to take out trash. They even had the audacity to falsify documents and say the trash was overweight and it wasn't. I was able to lift the trash with ONE finger it was so light. They spent all of 3 seconds according to the vivid video on our ring camera picking the trash up before playing on their phone and walking away. I see they have a history of doing this on *** and other social media where other residents had dealt with the same unethical treatment. I brought this up to the company and sent them pictures/screenshots from the ring video to which they then asked for the actual footage. I sent it to them, and the company then proceeded to say they weren't allowed to view the footage and to have a good day. That's completely ridiculous and unethical , plus they are the ones who requested the footage as if my pictures were good enough. This is their way to get extra money and fines from people. We have never had any fines or violation ever before in our rental history and don't plan on having any. Especially when we did absolutely NOTHING wrong. If they are not going to do what we pay them for then we want a refund. Negligence could have cost us thousands.

As an apartment renter I am forced to pay for this valet Living trash pickup service which is a scam! My trash has been put out by the prescribed time for pickup during the evening or not. It was missed Tuesday and I spoke with valet living corporate who claimed they would reach out to district manager and would pick up during the day outside of normal pickup times since it was their fault. That never occurred. They missed the SAME bag of trash Wednesday night even though they would have had to seen it when they picked up my neighbor's trash upstairs. I called the district manager Chris--- and told him what happened ( I had the number saved from a previous time he had to call) He asked me if I was the person upstairs whose trash has been missed Monday and Tuesday and I told him that was neighbor upstairs. That tells me Valet Living corporate office NeVER reached out to him about my missed trash. He ended up having to come out himself. I had another bag of trash put out Thursday night, again in time for pick up AND IT WAS IGNORED and never picked up. Valet corporate or the district manager had not returned the call. As a resident renter we are caught in the middle. The bh management property manager tells us to contact Valet Living and Valet Living gives us a canned answer that they will pick up the next night on a night that is advertised they won't pickup. So Valet Living does not even know the nights their supposed to pickup (Sun thru Thursday night) . I have seen how Valet Living works. They pull into to the middle of the parking lot . Turn their head around and if they don't see trash they leave. On this side of the property there are 3 buildings with 2 levels. You could not possibly see all the people who have put out trash without walking to ALL the entrances of each side of the building and walking up the stairs enough to see who put out trash in the front AND back of the building. I want reimbursement from Valet living for not doing their job. A SCAM.

I lived in a community in Loma Linda, CA. Valet Living serviced our area with daily doorstep trash collection. I never utilized this service and my bin was always inside. In late February 2022, as I was moving out, I was transferring items to my car in the garage nearby. I temporarily placed bags of clothing on my porch while I carried a load to my car. Within 5 minutes, two large bags had disappeared from the porch. My neighbor, who was loading a U-Haul in a nearby parking space and had a view of my doorstep, informed me that he saw the Valet Living staff remove two bags from my porch. He described the employee wearing a bright yellow vest and using a wheeled cart. Despite searching in the direction they went, I couldn't locate them. I called Valet Living and left a voicemail, followed by several more over days and weeks, but received no response. I informed the property management, who confirmed that Valet Living should not have taken anything from my porch as they only collect items inside their bins. My bin was not outside, and the bags were clearly marked with 'clothes' in black marker. I've reached out through Complaintsboard.com to resolve this before considering small claims court. My neighbor is ready to testify, and I have receipts and insurance photos. I'm willing to settle for $500 to avoid court, but if it goes to small claims, I'll seek the retail replacement value. My wardrobe, mainly from Foxblood and bought in the last year, included about 20 dresses in the bags, each costing over $75.

I am livid! I was just cursed out literally by a Valet Living employee. He left my trash and refused to take it. He called me several derogatory names While walking my dog I noticed that a portion of the trash was taken out. I saw the guy and politely asked if he was going to get the rest, he snapped at me and told me that he was not supposed to take all of my trash and that I was supposed to take my own trash out. I asked him what did he mean and he snapped at me and said I am not taking sh$&. Shocked at what he had just said I just said wow well I'll just call your office. He said " I don't give a f$&&, I was just going to get your trash but now I'm not doing s$&@" I said to him well you don't have to and he said" I know I don't you dirty b$&ch", at this point I am literally standing there in shock and he proceeded to call me every bi$&! you can think of. I went in the house and I called and left a message at the office I was so livid that I couldn't wait and I called back and sat on the phone and spoke with Steve and explain to him what happened. He didn't have my location logged as already being serviced for the night. He also asked me to describe the employee but when I did, he had a completely different description of who should've been at my complex. (Sketchy) He told me that a manager will call me back and take care of it. It is now 10:50 PM and I am still waiting and my trash is still outside of my door. This is completely unacceptable and I pay for service and I expect to receive it. I had to call to get my trash picked up twice this week. For the last two weeks my trash was not picked up on Thursday and when they didn't pick it up on Sunday I finally called the office that Monday. I appreciate the folks in the office because they took care of it right away however it continues to happen. I am certainly capable of taking my own trash out, I do not need to pay for this service if I'm not gonna receive it properly. What kind of people are you guys employing there? What man speaks to a lady in that manner? Especially with no provocation. I have used this service before at Summerfield apartments in Hyattsville Maryland and I have never experienced such. The flyer indicated that this is door step service, When you call the customer service line it literally says door step service on the pre-recorded message, The man who supposedly picks up the trash has depicted his own rules and has declared that the trash cans should be in a certain spot in the drive way however we have no drive way the way these apartments are built there is no place but to put the trash can but in front of your door otherwise its going to get run over or blown away. Also he has let the trash pile up and thus gives the excuse that now he wont pick up because its more than 25 lbs but the trash has been accumulating because each night there is a new made up rule as to why he cant pick up our trash and its not just me its the entire neighborhood everyone is having issues. I am going to get together with my neighbors and get this company removed from our community if I have too. Its ridiculous how awful and non-compliant they are. The manager of our complex is the worst and just states there is nothing she can do but send an email however they have no problem taking $30 bucks a month for a service they havent fulfilled in 3 months. I have emailed our complexes corporate offices to complain about management and this company is ripping us off. I also plan to call the county and the state if I have to file a class action law suit with my neighbors I will. This is completely unacceptable. Its gotten so bad that they wont even answer the phone anymore because everyone is complaining about this new guy. This new guy also speeds through the complex and almost ran over a kid he should be fired. I have emailed them about the issue they simply state there is nothing they can do but just to call my manager, my manager states there is nothing she can do but send an email. This is the game they are playing. last time I called to complain to valet living the man just writes me a nasty note refusing to pick up my trash stating because my garbage can isnt in the middle of the road he wont pick it up, umm excuse me we dont have a drive way it would literally be in the way of on coming traffic. The way this complex is built we do not have driveways. Furthermore I have attached the flyer it literally is advertised as doorstep service. None of these unwritten rules are in the addendum or on the flyer or even in the check list on the note thats why he had to write it in because this isnt an actual rule. Also discrimination as my white neighbor there trash gets picked up from the door but not ours and not any of my other black and latino neighbors. The new trash man is white and completely racist.

Forced into intermittent service, paying more than others on this forum, and repeated problems with workers contaminating recycling only dumpsters. First off, I don't like being forced into doing business with a company that does not deliver the promised service, then further compounds the problem by not doing the service properly when they do. I am curious why my complex pays $30 per month when the others on this forum pay only $25? I have been paying this for over three years. I would opt out of this if I could. My nearly 400 unit complex pays this company about $140,000 per year for "service" that is constantly complained about by residents. We have been instructed by *** property management to place our bins out from 6-8pm for pickups from 8-10pm. I usually take out my own and only put it out maybe 2-4 times per month, yet I have still missed service recently. We are instructed to place our recycling in clear plastic bags that are supposedly torn open by Valet Living into the "recycling only" dumpsters provided and serviced by Waste Management. That rarely, if ever, happens. Monday night 06/15 I took out my own recycling as usual and walked in front of a white car with a VL logo on it. I assumed a manager was checking up on them. Just five minutes later, I returned with more recycling to find the bin full of white and black trash bags and the stench of rotting food and diapers. Either the manager did nothing or is part of the problem I could see them from a distance on my long walk, so I know it was them. I took a photo (see attached). I used to take my recycling to city drop off areas due to this ongoing problem, but those closed several months ago, leaving me with no other options. I called Waste Management and our property manager on Tuesday morning. WM said that contaminated recycling bins result in fines, which I am sure are passed onto residents instead of being covered by VL. This also causes the entire bin to go to the landfill rather than being recycled, completely undoing all of our efforts and prove the lie of being "green." Our property manager said there have been repeated problems with this company and that the whole team servicing our complex had recently been replaced due to this. Either they weren't replaced or they are just more of the same. The manager pulled up emails from VL while we were on the phone. This sounds like yet another third party company raking in cash via shady partnership deals with complexes/management companies with residents stuck in the middle with no way to opt out. I don't think most people would be willing to pay for this if given the choice, which is why they do business where there is no choice. We are an upscale community and can certainly afford this, but paying for a service you don't receive is never acceptable.

I paid for deep cleaning services to enter my home on 6/22. The company didn't service my home properly. They even left toxic cleaner in my oven I paid for and scheduled deep cleaning services ($114) for 6/22. Jocelyn, who has previously cleaned my home, emailed me the night prior to let me know of the new covid-19 protocol. She made no indication that there would be any issues servicing my home. She arrived at 9:00am, and I instructed her to clean my kitchen, and the 2 bathrooms, as well as sweep the living room. These are the only tasks I've ever requested from Valet Living. Jocelyn has cleaned my place previously, she had done an OK job. At 10:47am, I received a call from Nicole telling me that they could not service my unit due to "clutter" and a "insect infestation" (she said roaches on our phone call). She further sent me a photograph of said clutter, however, the picture included all the Jocelyns cleaning supplies spread out on the counter. I was upset, I had guests coming that day and I had to re arrange my schedule. I lost nearly $1000 in my business pipeline as a result of this situation. When I got home, I noticed that absolutely nothing had been accomplished in the 2 hours Jocelyn was in my home. I called my leasing office maintenance to schedule pest control and checked the dishwasher for this insect infestation Nicole claimed existed but I found nothing, maintenance found nothing, the pest control found nothing, and Nicole still has yet to provide me with photographic proof of said infestation since she decided to allow her staff to take photographs of my private home without my consent. Nicole told me that there had been problems cleaning my unit previously. This shocked me because IF there were in fact problems on the previous 2 occasions Jocelyn had every opportunity to address them with me in her email prior to her entry of my home. Nicole could not provide me with any real TRUTHFUL reason for what occured here. But the point of a deep cleaning service is to clean a dirty space. I'm not sure why a cleaning service that was hired specifically for deep cleaning would expect everything to already be clean otherwise their services would not be required. I was refunded my $114. I cleared mytmy schedule and cleaned myself. 6/22 was busy entertaining my guest. We spent most of the week eating out, so I had not made use of my kitchen. On Sunday night however, I went to make use of my oven. Since they hadn't cleaned anything in my home it never occurred to me to check the oven before I turned it on to pre heat it. I pre-heated it and then walked outside to get the mail with my minor child and when we came back both of our asthma was triggered when we were met with toxic fumes in the air filling the living space. I went to check the oven and realized that valet living had sprayed the toxic cleaning chemicals into my oven and left it that way. Never cleaned it, never informed me that they sprayed down the oven, no communication what so ever they left something partially finished. I and my son are very sensitive to chemicals and since Valet living hasn't responded to my issue I'm filing complaints where necessary. I do not know what chemicals they sprayed, nor do I have the proper instructions on how to remove said chemicals and so currently my oven is unuseable.

They left trash at my door for 5 days I had to call and when I got ahold of the district manager he did nothing claimed it was over 20 lbs which it wasn’t I have a luggage scale they were 12 and 14 lbs…definitely don’t recommend will be disappointed
