This place is in a high crime gang infested neighborhood
This place is in a high crime gang infested neighborhood. Look for another Kia in a good or safe area, especially if you're bringing your kids along.
I saw their ad for a cheap price, but then they tried to tack on $3700 worth of stuff I didn't want
I saw their ad for a cheap price, but then they tried to tack on $3700 worth of stuff I didn't want. I told them to take it off, but the sales guy said it's a "sellers" market! Because of the higher price, my loan got rejected. They jacked it up by 20% from the advertised price.
Worst car buying experience ever!
Worst car buying experience ever! I called to ask about a car they had, when I got there the person I talked to gave me to another salesperson who took me on a test drive. When we got back to talk about the price, they added $1,700 in charges for stuff they said they added to the car (GPS and nitro filled tires don't cost that much). When I questioned it, they sent me to a "finance manager" who didn't give me his name and just talked about financing without answering my concerns. So I asked about the price again and he sent another "sales manager" to talk about financing, even though I already had a loan from the bank. I left the dealership with a bad experience, but it didn't end there. The next day, "Monica" called and listened to my concerns. She said to give them another chance and she would try to lower the price. An hour later, she texted me with a HIGHER PRICE than before. And to top it off, I just found out they checked my credit without telling me, even though I said I didn't want them to because I had an approved bank loan. These people don't respect customers, they only care about money. I found the same car at a different dealer down the street in a week.
Think twice before buying from this dealership
Think twice before buying from this dealership. After leasing a supposedly top-of-the-line Kia Sorento, the car broke down just three months later. We were left stranded on our way to a weekend trip. We reached out to Kia of Van Nuys for help, but they offered zero support. Our car has been in their service department for 27 days, and we still haven't received any assistance. They didn't even help us get the car to the service department. Kia Roadside Assistance kept us waiting for hours. Eventually, we had to ask a friend to call AAA for us. They told us they had no loaner cars available. So, we had to pay out of pocket for a rental, which we're still doing. They still haven't provided us with a loaner car, and we've already spent over $1,000 on a rental while continuing to make our $520 monthly payment for a car we don't even have. Apparently, our car needs a new transmission, but no one can give us a clear answer on when we'll get it back. I left multiple messages for the Service Manager, but he never bothered to call me back. The Drive Manager did call me back, but she was rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful. Whenever I call, I'm put on hold and often have to chase them down. Except for two instances when a service department employee contacted me, I've always been the one initiating contact. At this point, I've had a Kia Sorento for three months, paid a $3,000 down payment, made over $2,000 in payments, spent over $1,000 on a rental, and wasted countless hours. Even if they return the car to me, I've completely lost trust in Kia products and their service.

I was talkin' to this dealership 'bout leasin' a new Telluride
I was talkin' to this dealership 'bout leasin' a new Telluride. They got it listed on their site for $***. So, I talked to one of their salesmen, and he told me the lowest they could go was $*** 'cause of some market adjustment for covid. Can ya believe it? They tryna sell the car for over $*** the MSRP! I just wanna get a new vehicle at the MSRP they advertised on their site. It's just not right, ya know?
I just bought a 2019 Kia **** from here on May 25, 2022
I just bought a 2019 Kia *** from here on May 25, 2022. I am not happy! I currently have 4 engine servicing lights on! I reached back out to this dealership to have this car picked up, serviced, and delivered back to me. I have gotten 0 help! Also, one of the service lights is a "Refill inverter coolant" so I went to *** to buy the coolant, put some in this car, and guess what? The coolant starts to leak out the bottom of the car! I've had this car for 3 days! I also have the 150 point inspection sheet that this dealership did and it says that the inverter coolant level "meets requirements and is free of leaks". This is unsatisfactory at best! 0 stars!
While driving home from a possible job, my car died on the freeway
While driving home from a possible job, my car died on the freeway. I managed to get it to a Kia dealership in Van Nuys. Since I wasn't in my hometown, I went to the service department at Van Nuys Kia and they said they would check it out and let me know what was wrong. I decided to stay at a hotel for three days, hoping to receive updates from my technician. Unfortunately, all I got was a promise to call me back, but they never did. It's been almost three weeks now and I still don't know what's wrong with my car, how to fix it, if it can be fixed, or when I can get it back. I don't have any other means of transportation, so this has been a major inconvenience for me. I believe I deserve to know what's going on and when I can expect to have my car back, especially considering the time and effort I've put into taking care of it and working towards resolving this issue.

On May 4th, I went to Van Nuys Kia for a basic oil change
On May 4th, I went to Van Nuys Kia for a basic oil change. They made me go through all these inspections and ended up charging me $180 for the oil change and other things that weren't really necessary. My car is a 2016 Kia Optima EX, and we don't use it much. It only has 51,000 miles, so it's been taken care of. I paid $180 for the oil change, but today, on May 31st, my husband decided to check the oil because the car sounded strange. He was really angry when he looked at the dipstick. The oil level was almost at the empty line, and the oil was really dark and smelled like old burnt oil. We trusted the dealer service to do the oil change correctly, but I know they didn't change my oil. They had me waiting for almost 2 hours, so what were they doing? Why didn't they change it? We brought it there because we trusted them to do a simple oil change. I don't know if they caused any damage to my car's engine because the oil was so low and burnt.
On 12/16, I scheduled a service appointment on the dealer's website for 12/17 at 10:30 am for an oil change
On 12/16, I scheduled a service appointment on the dealer's website for 12/17 at 10:30 am for an oil change. On their website, they offered a choice of blended synthetic oil for $39.99 and full synthetic oil for $89.99. This offer had an expiration date of 12/31. I chose the offer for $39.99. Today, when I arrived at the dealer, the service advisor, Peter, wrote my invoice for $89.99 and told me to sign it without informing me that the service I had scheduled for $39.99 was no longer available. When I read the invoice, I immediately noticed that it was higher than what I had scheduled. I asked the service advisor why it was higher than what I had scheduled, and he informed me that they no longer had the offer for $39.99 as it had been taken off 5 days ago. I told him that the dealer's website still stated that it was available, but he said there was nothing he could do. I then spoke to the service manager, Ken, who offered me a $10.00 discount off the $89.99 price since the offer for $39.99 was no longer available. I told him that this was not acceptable, and I refused the service. I believe they should have honored the $39.99 service for false advertising and wasting my time.
I bought a 2020 Sorento from Van Nuys Kia, but they haven't paid off my trade-in yet
I bought a 2020 Sorento from Van Nuys Kia, but they haven't paid off my trade-in yet. My partner and I were moving to another state soon, and he was leasing a 2017 Kia Sorento. We noticed that this dealership was opening up, so we decided to give it a try. To make a long story short, we traded in his car for their 2020 model, but they made a mistake with the car details, causing us a lot of trouble. Just as we were packing up our new car to drive across the country, the finance manager called and told us to bring the car back because the loan wasn't finalized. We were extremely angry and already three states away, so we refused to turn around. They started searching for another bank to cover the loan. After three weeks, they called and said everything was settled, and we needed to sign the contract and send it back. However, Kia kept calling us about the lease we turned in, even though we no longer had the vehicle. They informed us that we were still responsible until the new dealer paid them off. We tried calling the Van Nuys dealer multiple times about this issue, but all they ever said was, "We'll call you back with more info." We can't afford to make payments for a car we traded in and our new one. If this affects our credit report, I will seek legal assistance. They're not even answering my calls anymore.
Dealer has had my vehicle since June 24th
Dealer has had my vehicle since June 24th. My spouse calls all the time for status and updates. Speaks to someone named ***l. Vehicle is pending labor work for wire harness that an autoshop was supposed to replace but didn't. Dealer says wireharness needs to be replaced. They sent supplements to my statefarm insurance and insurance adjuster shows up and they don't have the vehicle broken down and available to show the adjuster the proof as to why a full wire harness needs to be replaced instead of just fixing the wiring like the autoshop did. The dealer wants 10hrs of labor work paid by the insurance. We were told if the insurance doesn't pay, we'll have to pay around $2,200 but we can't afford that. That's why we have insurance. So the insurance says the dealership needs to show physical proof that this replacement is necessary for safety reasons and provide a new supplement. I haven't had my vehicle since FEB 10 2022. We've been making our car payments on time to Kia this whole time. We're tired of the delays because they didn't plan properly and prioritize our vehicle. *** might lose her job because she can't get to work and can't afford a rental. The dealership should be prepared and organized when dealing with insurance companies. They should know what's needed when an adjuster shows up. Instead, my car is being delayed even more. Please help us resolve this issue. We've already filed complaints with KIA Case#*** multiple times. We've paid 7 months of lease payments of $400 and still don't have a vehicle.
On a Wednesday, I visited Kia Van Nuys to drop off my 2016 Kia before closing time
On a Wednesday, I visited Kia Van Nuys to drop off my 2016 Kia before closing time. I had an appointment for the next day. My car had two recalls and a potential engine issue. Since then, I've tried contacting the dealership for updates. I was informed that the advisor handling my car had to open a techline case and was the only one who could update me. After two days without news and relying on my car for daily transport, I requested a rental. They denied it, citing the need for a diagnostic code. It's now July 10th, and I've received no updates for nearly two weeks. Despite daily calls, I'm ignored or hung up on, with no responses to my voicemails. My car seems to be held without any communication, showcasing the dealership's unprofessionalism.
