No response at all to request to cancel due to start of coronavirus lockdown 4 days before flight
As with all the others, I attempted to contact vayama.com via their website when I saw the philippines is ordering country-wide lockdown the next day, and 4 days before my departure. Philippine airlines talked to me on the phone and said they couldn't help me as I booked through vayama.com. So I wrote over and over and over, by email and their website contact form, to request cancellation or credit or refund due to inability to take the flight, well before scheduled flight, and no reply even now over 2 months later. I am contesting the charge via my credit card company now, let's see what happens.
Refund for not responding
Hi, I tried contacting Vayama 37 times with only one response (finally) but after that response there was never a reply. So after 40 tries n my part to get a refund or Evan have someone talk to me, I am forming a complaint.
I was left stranded in India because of Vayama. It was a horrible experience to be stuck in a foreign country with no help from a company that I paid extra for at the time of making my reservation so blind. I paid extra for in for in case that I needed to cancel or change my flight. I had to buy another ticket becuse you would not help me change mine.
I took screen shots of twenty or so times I contacted Vayama since the middle of March 2020.

Unable to get refund for cancelled flights
I had booked several flights for April 24, 2020 on Turkish Air through Vayama. On April 2, I received notice from Turkish Air that my flights had been cancelled and, since I had not booked directly with Turkish Air, I would need to receive a refund ($2013.97 + $20) from the third party travel agent (Vayama). According to Vayama website, if a flight was cancelled, there was no need to contact Vayama, they would contact me. As of today, 42 days after TA cancelled the flights, I still have not heard from Vayama. I therefore tried to contact them and learned that their phone line is not receiving any calls or messages. I would like to receive my over $2000 refund.
Airline gave refund, vayama hasn't forwarded it onto me
My airline gave the refund and it went to Vayama. I contacted via email to Vayama and got the generic email that doesn't pertain to me. I just want to Vayama to forward the refund that was sent to them onwards to me. I just want an ETA of when the refund can be given back to me from them as it's been 2 weeks the airline has said they sent it to them. I am very upset that they aren't reading each email individually and should stop doing the generic email . Wish they had a live agent to chat to. I might have to go via my credit card to show that I should be given a refund that they are holding on to.

I had to cancel my flight with LOT to Israel as they issued the travel ban just a few days before my departure (March 12). Vayama were suppose to help take care of the refund through LOT, since I'm unable to receive it directly from them (third party agent). Now it is impossible to speak to their representatives on the phone since they stopped their phone...

Travel itinerary flexibility in light of covid
While airlines are offering voucher or free of charge dates change, Vayama is ignoring customers requests and not making a date change a free option. Not possible to resolve via airline directly as Vayama is used as travel agent. No clear instructions on their website to follow. In light of COVID which received Disaster Designation in the US. Not possible to reach them via call or email provided for customer services. No real time updates email on what to do for customers with upcoming travel scheduled.
Refusing to refund cancelled ticket
- Called airline - said they will refund cancelled flights 100%, but I need to process via travel agent.
- Tried calling Vayama to start process to get refund - got voicemail saying they won't answer phone calls.
- Went to website to process via my Vayama account:
- got pop-up saying they will accept refund requests only via e-mail - and the e-mail address is on the e-ticket.
- TAKE A LOOK AT THESE TICKETS - WHERE IS THERE AN E-MAIL ADDRESS?
- Bottom line: Seems like they plan to just keep the money!
Sold me a ticket I cannot use
They sold me a ticket that I cannot use as the countries I want to fly to are no allowing US Citizens to enter. I cannot even transit through the airport they routed me through. They will not return my calls, emails, tweets, anywhere.
They are a fraudulent company that is stealing funds without providing what I paid for. I demand my money to be returned to me.

Vayama is not answering calls or emails. I have been trying for 4 weeks to reach them to change or cancel my flights. I'm one week away from my travel date and no response from the various emails I sent them. The airline is letting people change or cancel flights but I can't make the change through the airline. Ticket refund
Had booked my flight from Seoul to Delhi and return and with now Coronavirus has made the cancellation and charges were mentioned 145 usd which I am okay . I tried paying to vayama but the link was not working and I send email to them giving me alternative .. this was more than weeks ago and I am sending them emails everyday .. I have send them 23 emails which they stopped Rowling me now .. called them on international line with waiting time 1 hour 18 minutes and second call waiting time 53 minutes with line getting disconnected automatically.. thi is international calls I am making .. Vayama's customer service is trash.
My flight from China to the US was cancelled due to the virus.
Vayama told me on three different phone calls spaced 2 days apart that I should wait 24-48 hours and I would receive an email to select a new flight.
Vayama never followed up with an email, never called, nothing. Hell, they never reached out to me to notify me my flight was cancelled in the first place! For all they know I am stuck in China right now. Maybe they just hoped the virus would kill me and they wouldn't have to deal with rescheduling the flight.
Too bad. I've used them in the past with success, but never in a situation that required them to change anything.
Sorry Vayama, I'm still alive, and you have lost a customer forever.

I ended up going to a local office for the airline and getting this taken care of.
I'll gladly pay the airline the extra $20 to book directly with them in the future, at least the airline will take care of their people.
airline ticketing correction

I want to start with the booking process was smooth and the pricing for my flight was good for the day I choose to purchase.
The process was a bit fast and did little to allow for review of ticketed personal information.
Specifically the name on ticket the information was captured from your kayak account and no final review provided for a chance at correction! The name on the ticket must match the passport due to tsa and other flight agency rules. The booking allows for changes or cancellations in the first 24 hours no fee.
Ok now my story,
I booked 2 tickets on aer lingus flight el105, vayama booking #kusw-8162602. I was issued an e ticket for myself and wife.
My wife's ticket had proper information and I saw no issues. My ticket e-ticket [protected]
I had an issue; my first name middle initial and last name were all connected with no spacing additionally it had my middle initial then a space then my last name again.
It appeared the data transfer had duplicated my middle initial space and last name attache to my unspaced full name.
By example, john m smith came on the ticket as johnmsmith m smith.
I called vayama prior to the 24 hour window closing for a name correction.
Customer service stated that would incur a 100 euro fee to change ticket.
I continued to ask for a simple name update and was given the chance to cancel the ticket and rebook but they would not give me a price quote or grant me a new ticket at the price I paid already.
I re - explained my timely call to them I was uncomfortable canceling a fight I was on with my wife that only needed a correction, since they could not offer a way to get this done other than by canceling flight and putting me in the position of possibly not getting original fare. I asked for a supervisor and was told nun were on staff at that time and would not be in until monday. I told them that was not good customer service. And said I would call back as I was getting frustrated and did not want to be a jerk.
I was truly trying to follow their rules and terms of service.
After hanging up (nicely) I contacted aer lingus and was informed that there is no fee for a correction of name as misspellings and errors do happen and it is not a change of ticket event no need to cancel.
During this conversation I did receive a call back fro vayama customer service and as I was on the line with aer lingus I could not talk but was left a message to call back asap to cancel my flight so I would not be charged for the flight I would not be able to use do to the incorrect name.
I did appreciate the call back it showed me they were trying to help thank you.
I called back and spoke to a new customer representative he was able to go over my case by looking up my booking. He informed me that if I send them a copy of my passport information page they could do a correction no mention of a fee btw I was still in the 24 hour window.

I was informed that they would check with the airline for their policy and get back to me sometime next week.
3 day's pass I get a e-mail stating that the change has been made and I need pay $50 usa fee for the change. I informed them by e-mail that the airline does not charge a fee for this type of change. And awaited a response that was christmas eve.
They did send a email on christmas day but I was not able to do business that day it is a holy day and family requirements were needed.
They reported that they vayama do charge a fee in the response email. I called customer service and explained my position the representative said he was powerless to reverse a fee once it has been emailed. I thanked him for his help and proceed to pay the fee. I feel that the customer service department has very little services to offer beyond billing and canceling and has ample room for improvement. It is curious that they have many of these complaints, could it be just for the extra fees?
In short I was charged $50 for a name correction with in the 24 hour period that was brought to vayama's attention! They were not able to fix in that time frame due to customer service representatives limited power to remedy in a timely matter. I feel this fee should be reversed

If you forgot to enter your middle name or used the wrong title, you don't have to do anything as this will not be an issue when travelling
If you made a typo, used a nickname or entered your maiden name instead of your married name, don't worry we should be able to correct that for you. Just use the upcoming travel enquiry online form to request the correction. Make sure you provide the name as it appears on your passport

I booked 3 tickets through from LAX to Sanya, due to no direct flight, my booking is from LAX-Chengdu, Chengdu-Sanya. But overlap time in Chengdu only 1 hour. I was assuming online booking website would filter the flight that not enough for MCT. Fortunately I called the airline and airport to double check. They both told me MCT is 150 minutes. I called Vayama, twice, their customer service had very bad attitude insisted me to pay for the change at $900 plus wait for a whole day to transfer in mid night to a 3rd city then to my destination at 1am. I will be traveling with two kids with very limited time to visit my mom who is 80 years old. I asked to talk to manager, they rejected to transfer.
My point is: 1) they should not offer tickets transfer time less than MCT at first place. simple program!
2) I need a solution for my coming up trip at no extra cost. Someone from Vayama needs to contact me!
3) Vayama needs to train their customer service how to talk to customer and know how to escalate the issue when they can't handle.

I purchased travel insurance for both me and my family during international travel. My Vayama account confirmed this purchase and still confirms the purchase. While in Switzerland I was injured and after arriving home i called to file a claim. They said my policy went through 2 companies (travix and travelguard) and is now in cancellation. I called to straighten it out and was treated very rudely by a man who refused to hear what I was trying to explain and would not let me speak to his supervisor who was obviously near by and also did not want to speak with me. This is very upsetting and needs to be addressed. I am not unreasonable and i do understand that mistakes can be made but this type of "customer service " is uncalled for.

We cancelled 1 of our 2 tickets mid May [vus10213517] We're still waiting for a refund. Your so-called customer service center and its agents are useless. We had purchased travel insurance through you and still, nothing. This is appalling! We will make sure that everyone we know avoids this scam and saves themselves the hassle and pain of having to call again and again only to be told "wait another 24 hours or a week for your refund" . We keep getting generic e-mails (no agent name or department head even though we have spoken to several) about asking the airline for our refund. It doesn't take this long to process purchases nor refunds. It's been 7 months! You can keep our money, but we surely won't be quiet! Buyer beware.
airline bookings
My husband booked a flight from Germany to Nigeria with vayama on the 30th of August, his credit card was debited immediately. On the 31st of August, vayama sent a mail to cancel the flight he has booked for no reason. So, if they cancelled the flight, the money has to be refunded, uptill today been October 9th, vayama is yet to refund the money, we need the money, what sort of fraudulent act is this?
