Hello I booked 4 tickets on board the Chicago Odyssey back in July for August 25,2023 with a boarding time of 7:30pm at $792.00.
We arrived by Uber after having traveledfrom both LA & KY to celebrate a Doctorate graduation.
After arriving we found that our boat was already 10-20’ away from the dock. We immediately began cheering to let the crew know they they were missing 4 patrons and that our tickets had a 7:30 boarding time but boat just sailed away.
I called customer service twice to inform them of what had happened and I also called the 3rd party boat company to ask why they had departed when our tickets listed a 7:30pm boarding time and it was then that they told us that Viator should have instructed us to arrive at 6:30pm instead of 7:30pm.
Then in less than 24 hrs I received an email from a Customer Service representative name Kennth Joshua whoemailed me to tell me that I would not be receiving a refund.
I then asked for the contact info to speak to a Director and/or Owner because this issue has not been resolved,
I have used Viator while visiting Italy and have always recommended them to others but I am greatly sadden that I have not received a call from Viator offering to help resolve this issue.
I now plan send a letter to each member of the board of directors until someone is willing to help me with this matter.
Desired outcome: A full refund
