The VEC has been a dysfunctional mess for years, I hoped the new governor would fix the corruption and the problems that continue to plague this department but that hasn't happened. It is near impossible to contact an actual human. The self service online portal "doesn't recognize your digital identity" when trying to set up a new account, directs me to the one & only phone # and every prompt that I try results in the line hanging up before ever reaching a person. I see complaint after complaint on here re: the same issues, people are suffering trying to make ends meet between jobs! This is NOT ACCEPTABLE. It should not be this difficult, in the year 2023, to have a department function appropriately and be able to process people's claims. If your department is short staffed, there plenty of people out here looking for work! I should not get the run-around every time I am trying to just set up on my online account to file an initial claim. Trying to file on the phone is near impossible btw. I don't know where these complaints go but someone needs to pay attention
Desired outcome: For the VEC to fix their problems so I can access the web portal, file my claim and gets this processed. Not hard!!
