So, I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience with Visual Comfort. I mean, I was trying to get in touch with their customer service team for what felt like forever, and when I finally did, they promised to call me back within a certain amount of time. But did they follow through? Nope. Not even a little bit. I never got that call back, and honestly, it just felt like they were making things as hard as possible for me. Like, why even bother promising to call me back if you're not gonna do it? It's just bad customer service, plain and simple.

Visual Comfort & Co is not a good place to work. The people in charge don't seem to care about their employees or their families. They are quick to get rid of you if they don't like you. The supervisors and managers don't seem to know what's going on, and they don't respect hard-working people like me. I wouldn't recommend working here because it's a toxic work environment. I hope they get shut down soon.

Visual Comfort lights are all over my house, and I gotta say, they look pretty damn good. I used to tell my friends to get them too, but then I ordered the Kate Spade $#*!inson chandelier and boy was that a mistake. Some of the parts were messed up and it was like pulling teeth trying to get someone to talk to me about it. It took weeks just to get replacement parts! And let me tell you, they don't stand by their products. It's all just cheap junk made in China. I ain't never buying from them again, and I feel bad for anyone who has to deal with them.

Visual Comfort's Customer Service is a Nightmare - A Review
I've been dealing with Visual Comfort for a good 6 years now, and I gotta say, their customer service is just plain awful. I've been trying to get a mounting bracket for one of my customers for 4 and a half months now, and it's all because they forgot to put it in the box. I gave them the item and told them I needed the bracket, but every time I called (which was 6 times, mind you), they kept saying it was gonna ship out that day. But nope, it took a whole week before it finally shipped. And when I finally got it, guess what? The bracket didn't even fit! Can you believe it? So now, in order for my customer to get the right bracket, I gotta take a picture of the wrong one not fitting. Like, come on, man! It's been another 5 weeks and still no bracket. I wouldn't recommend using these guys unless you want a whole lot of problems.
Visual Comfort's Terrible Customer Service for Regular Customers
So, I bought this pendant from Visual Comfort and it was missing a small piece. It's not a big deal, but it's noticeable. I reached out to them to get the missing piece, but they refused to send it to me because I'm just a regular customer and not a business. They said I need to produce the original purchase order to get help, but the showroom where I bought it got taken over, so I can't get it. I mean, who keeps their purchase orders anyway? It's confidential business paperwork with their purchase price and profit shown on it.
I asked them to search their records using my address, which was the delivery address, but they refused. I've made several requests and have query numbers, but they won't respond or tell me to go back to the showroom. I even tried reaching out to people in their showrooms, but they don't return my calls.
Their customer service is terrible. They won't speak to me because I'm not a business, and they keep telling me to go back to the showroom. They won't honor their product and won't speak with customers. I spent a few thousand dollars on this item, and they won't even help me with a small missing piece.
So, if you're thinking of buying from Visual Comfort, beware. They won't help you if you're just a regular customer.
Disappointing Quality and Poor Customer Service: Visual Comfort Floor Lamp Review
I recently bought the Visual Comfort Suzanne Kasler Thornton 3 Light Decorative Floor Lamp in Polished Nickel SK1004PN-NP, SKU # SK1004PN-NP from Designer Supply House, NY, NY. I was really disappointed with the quality of the product. The lamp doesn't sit level and the finish is damaged. I contacted DSH, but they didn't offer any resolution. I even filed a complaint against DSH with BBB, NY and FTC, but still no resolution yet. I also reached out to Visual Comfort & Co. Although I don't hold VC&Co. responsible for the policies and practices of DSH, I wanted to inform them about the poor quality and craftsmanship of their product. However, I didn't receive any response from Visual Comfort & Co.
I must say that this is my first and last transaction with Designer Supply House. Moreover, this will also be the first and last product I purchase from Visual Comfort & Co.
Update: On 4/21/2014, I received a replacement lamp from Designer Supply House. However, it didn't work. I contacted DSH the next day and requested a full refund upon return of the lamp. On 5/23/2014, I received a return label. On 6/03/2104, I delivered the lamp to a company called Bath Kitchen Decor. Today is 6/17/2014, and I haven't received any response from either DSH or BKD or a refund.
I want to warn others about the poor quality of the Visual Comfort product I received. Although I don't hold Visual Comfort responsible for the business practices of DSH or BKD, I hope my review will help others make an informed decision before purchasing from them.
