Pier 1 Imports Mixed Experiences with Pier One Imports

As someone who loves to decorate their home, I have had mixed experiences with Pier One Imports. While the products are stylish and unique, the customer service and delivery issues have been disappointing. I ordered some items that arrived damaged, and despite reaching out multiple times, I received no response. The return process was cumbersome, and the refund policy left me with store credit instead of a full refund. It's frustrating when a once-beloved store like Pier One falls short on quality and service. I hope they can improve their operations to match the beauty of their products.

Pier 1 Imports Good values

I shop a lot on-line on Pier1. Great choices and good values. Most of my purchases have been on sale, and I love it. I pick up most items at the store and save on shipping. When I had to return 2 items due to color problems (Color was not exactly as it appeared on the computer screen), it was done very easily with no hassles. Great service.

Pier 1 Imports How many times am I allowed to LOVE a store?

This is my MOST FAVORITE store & I'm no longer allowed in here! EVER! My husband drives past it because I spend money like a crazed fool when I'm in there. I love everything they sell. The colors & variety is marvelous. So in season & vibrant. Always alive & new.

Pier 1 Imports Pier 1 What a FUN store to shop in!

I've shopped Pier 1 stores in Florida and Georgia. All these stores are consistently great with merchandise, pricing and customer assistance. Pier 1 has something for everyone. I highly recommend their candles and kitchen/ dining inventory. I love shopping at Pier 1 during the Christmas season. Pier 1 has gorgeous Christmas ornaments, candles, decorating merchandise and dishes. I'd love to be able to purchase furniture.

Pier 1 Imports This site really is as good as it seems

I've been a user for some 8 months now I'd say, so I feel like I know my way around the service pretty well by now. Truth is, it really is as simple and straightforward as it seems. You get cash back, they get a referral fee, and everyone's happy. I'm writing this review after interacting with customer service and it was stellar. It really feels like they know what they are talking about. In these 8 months I've received around 200$ of cashback, so if your a smart shopper, it's definitely worth it.

Pier 1 Imports I visited this site tonight because I am searching

I visited this site tonight because I am searching for a special frame for a picture I recently got. Years ago I went to Pier 1 and purchased candles. There candles smelled so great. I love this store because they have so many really neat things. While I was in the store I thought that they were a little bit expensive. After I bought a few things from them I kept going back over and over for years. I bought rugs, wall accents and an adorable figurine that I still have to this day. She was a little indian girl. This store has great quality items. There merchandise is good quality. I love just going in the store because they have such a wide variety of different things. Things that other store don't have. So if you like different types of decor, or unique type furniture, rugs, candles, wicker and a whole lot more. Check them out there neat. Sincerely, Lorraine W.

Pier 1 Imports Online as good as in store

Pier 1 is a favorite of mine (and many of my friends)--personnel are always helpful and lots of cool stuff to choose from. This is my first experience with online purchase from them and it was a great experience. I made a big mistake but they handled it like pros. I received several packages one day and assumed they were all from another store. I called Pier 1 and told them I had not received the lamp I ordered. No problem---they sent me another immediately, no questions asked. Amazing. Then I opened the packages I had and discovered one contained the lamp I had ordered from Pier 1. I felt like an idiot but the customer service rep at Pier 1 was fantastic and simply issued me a new label for the second lamp package and UPS picked it up. Not once did the rep question my motive in requesting the second lamp, she accepted my word without a fuss. Her only goal was to make me a satisfied customer---goal achieved plus some. I remain a fan of Pier 1 in all its branches.

Pier 1 Imports This company simply should not be running an online

This company simply should not be running an online store. I placed an order; two weeks later called to check on the order, having heard nothing. They had cancelled the entire order because 1 item (out of 8) was backordered/out of stock. I had not been aware of the problem and did not authorize the cancellation. (This item was and is still listed on their site as available.) Had this merchandise not been a gift, I probably would have walked away at that point, but I replaced the order and waited for an update. And waited, and waited and waited. Finally I called again; order was ready for shipping, and had evidently been sitting in a warehouse waiting for me to intuit that I needed to arrange delivery. I was given a number to call to arrange delivery, and did so. I was told I would receive a call about a delivery time; this, as I have come to expect from Pier 1, did not happen. Then my order disappeared. The shippers didn't show up, and of course didn't call. No one at Pier 1 called me to explain the disappearance; I once again had to call them. No one at Pier 1 could locate it, other than to say it was "on a truck." Three days latter the botched delivery I was informed -- when I called them, of course -- that the shippers had been given an incomplete address (I story I doubt. According to Pier 1, the letter of the apartment was missing; they had the floor. There are only two apartments on that floor, two feet away from each other; they couldn't have knocked on the other door?) I have given them three phone numbers, two email addresses, and all but BEGGED them to contact me if ANYTHING pertinent changes on my order, and they have not, in this entire process, seen fit to contact me. I have come to the realization that I do not have the time to do business with Pier 1. I have been lied to and ignored at every turn in the process, and every bit of information I have received about the status of my order, I have gotten only by calling them repeatedly. One MONTH after placing the order, we still do not have the merchandise. Their competitors at Wayfair.com and Overstock.com are offering similar items, free shipping, and 2 or 4 day delivery.

Pier 1 Imports Charged and no product received!

I ordered a $225 console table July4th weekend and have yet to receive my order. I was surprised that I didn't have to pay white glove delivery, but maybe $20 or so for special delivery. My cc was already charged right away. My tracking label was created right away and was supposed to be delivered on a Saturday. Instead I got a huge empty box with a floral stem (that was supposed to go with my other order). The tracking I have for my console table = 1 lb and the floral stem for my other order = 1 lb. Which I thought was scammy thinking someone from warehouse stole my order on Saturday. I never got an email confirmation that this other tracking with floral stems was coming assuming it was my console table. It's July 25th and no product still. My other order had problems. My wreath hanger was cancelled. My $30 white orchid wreath however came but the product is so terrible. All of the petals started falling off within days. I counted about up to 5 petals and 3 acorns. My wreath looks awful with no shape. I will need to take it down. Takes a long time to get someone on phone about 3hrs. I couldn't cancel my console table when i called I never received it... they were telling to wait till 21 days. My other order with the wreath says they can cancel the order since I didn't get it with my floral stems. Doesn't makes sense. She can cancel but yet can't cancel my console table even though it was supposed to ship on a Saturday now she's telling me I have to wait another 21 days. I already bought it at my local store thinking Chat mentioned that I can message them and they'll take care of me, and other orders on FB were being cancelled due to not receiving. Price changed within a week and couldn't get the price difference onlineeven though I never got my product. I highly recommend if you want to shop at Pier1, purchase at the store vs. dealing of unknowingly of not receiving it. Chances are you could of bought at store. I also did a chargeback with my bank, but supposedly their timeframe is 30days. I plan to contact Pier1 on Monday to get my money back. I did end up buying the same console table at the store due to chances are I won't be getting it in the mail due to other complaints like mine.

Pier 1 Imports Customer service

I’m not sure how this company is doing business when you can’t reach customer service. I’ve dialed the 800 number several times and it just went busy and this very unelectable for customers I believe that someone in corporate office should look into this matter. I’m trying to get defuser refill for my defuiser sticks and I don’t see my fragrance on the site.

Pier 1 Imports Ordered product online and never received it

I ordered some art work online back in January 2023 and 3 months later someone contacts me to say that they are cancelling the order because they don't have the products available anymore. I said to please refund me rather than giving me store credit. They said they would, but it's June 30th and Im still waiting on that refund.

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE!

Pier 1 Imports Item from Christmas lamps

I provided many emails and correspondence with some people saying they would give me a refund. I told them I wanted to check not a credit. I even filed a complaint under the warranty. I purchased along with the item and they told me I have to contact them so again they were also a rip off I think they’re Murberry, is there anyone we can contact to get our money back and yes, I will also participate in a lawsuit at their expensive of course

Pier 1 Imports 2Art Prints Ordered

I placed an order for 2 art prints in January 2023. The order was never filled. I emailed several times to try to tack this order. I finally cancelled the order but to date March 30, 2023 I have not received my refund or any communication to resolve this issue. The receipt on ShopPay shows they refunded me $1 for each item. I paid $144 for these 2 art prints. They have literally stolen my money.

Pier 1 Imports No order fulfillment or responses to my e-mails.

Ordered an ornament on Jan. 2, and received an order confirmation email. (Order # 1199137) My credit card was charged on the 3rd. I have tried to reach out to customer service multiple times since Jan 16th, but I only get the automated e-mail response that they will reach out to me, but wait times are longer than usual...What a joke.

Looked for toll free numbers, but none work. I just want my ornament or a refund. How can I contact Pier 1?

Pier 1 Imports Throw pillow ordered through Pier 1 January 6, 2023

Ordered a pillow 18x18 inch Boho suede gray pillow order # 1201157 January 6, 2023. Pier1.com got a confirmation 1/6 but no response since. Emailed several times and no phone number at customer service any longer. I have no receipt, ordered it online. I have you the date I purchased it online. January 6,2023 and my order number again is 1201157. Online. Pier1.com has not contacted me further since my order was confirmed a month ago. No shipping date was ever given.

Pier 1 Imports your customer service department which does not exist

I purchased three Gold brass Aladdin lamps @9.99 each = 29.99 plus tax.

I bought them for my 3 grandchildren for Christmas and a warning paper came with them stating that they had formaldehyde in them which causes cancer.

Of course, I could not give them this gift and have gone to your website [protected]@pier1usa.com and support.pier1.com. I sent emails to both, concerning an approval number to return said items.

My order #1151826

Still have not heard from you. I called the following phone #ś:[protected], [protected], main office in Fort Worth, Texas [protected], all have answering machines directing me to websites, which I have written to.

I am requesting that I may return the above items. Please supply me with the return approval.

This is my third letter and approximately 5 phone calls.

DHL Delivery Service is not use a Location Device, My Physical Home Address does not have a Home Mail Box, so we are not registered with Llano Post Office. So when DHL decided not to Deliver to me, at an address that gets Deliveries all the time, by other companies, like FedX & UPS, etc... They then left my Package from Pier1 at the Llano Post Office. The Postal Worker, Dexter said, they no longer kept Package that are delivered by different services. They Return them right away that day.

This happened last year when I ordered some Room Sprays again, but Dexter was allowed to have them there for about 4 days. I called when I saw the Tracking & could pick up the Package from Pier1 last year. But even that was taking me out of my way at the age of 70 plus. I have tried to use my Mailing Address, which is a Post Office Box that we have had for 30yrs., Pier1 would not allow it. So I used my Physical Address on drivable dirt roads, but for some Odd Reason, DHL can not find my Locations, when every other Delivery Service does..? I have tried to Contact Pier1 about 6 times. No Response ! I got a phone number for Pier1 that was only a recording to refer me back to the Pier1 online site, that I have got no where on. I sent like I said, 6 emails on their Pier1 Online Page and Got No Response, but a couple of emails saying they got my Request, but Nothing Else. So found this Complaint Posting and thought "Why Not" I Deserve the Refund and an Apology for ignoring Dilemma with NON~DELIVERY due to their Delivery Service Not Using a Locator Device. Shame On Pier1 for being So Difficult to get a hold of, especially when I am watching the Tracking say my Order was being Return to Sender and Not Delivered to Me. Signed~Upset

Pier 1 Imports customer care service

I ordered a table about a month ago which was delivered damaged. I have been trying to return it and have raised a return request multiple times, but it has not been picked yet. I am concerned later they will say that return window has expired. Their customer service is practically non-existent. I have been following up with my requests every few days, but they don't seem to care. I would urge others to not order from pier 1 if they value their time and money. They have the worst customer service in the country.

You are true and correct. I ordered papasan chair and not receive , and keep emailing them but a Robot popped up and keeps on automatic reply. We got scammed. NO to pier1 import, Do NOT buy

Pier 1 Imports Received wrong item

I have received wrong item, my case was forwarded to internal department that was supposed to contact me.

I have not received any updates for the past 3 week's and I did contact them twice mire within the past 2 weeks to follow up on my case.

How am I ever going to trust This company and order again.

Hiw many weeks/ months till I get correct item or refund

Terrible customer service.

Pier 1 Imports No Delivery, No Refund

I ordered an entry way console in the amount of $1,008.91 in February of 2022. I never received the item so asked for a refund in May 2022. I was promised a refund that takes 3-7 business days to process. It is now June 2022 and I still haven't received my money back.

On top of that, there is no way to contact Pier 1 Imports, but via email. If you try to call or chat the process routes you back to 'we will contact you' email.

This is criminal.

My merchandise NEVER arrived yet they took my money no problem. There’s no way to speak with anyone regarding an issue/problems. I’ve emailed Pier1 ant least 15 times without any results! Even worse, I can’t get my $460 back!

Pier 1 Imports Order Cancellation and Refund Process

On Feb 5 2022 I placed an order for the Jackson Gray Storage Chest. I have been in contact with Pier 1 order fulfillment multiple times over the past 50 days to learn the status of the order, only to be told there is a problem at the warehouse that was causing a delay.

Finally, on March 21, 2022, I contacted CS Rep Kevin to cancel the order and request a refund to my credit card. I had learned that there was still a delay in the order being processed at the warehouse, so instead of waiting another month, I decided to cancel the order completely. Kevin said it would 48 hours for the item to be canceled.

On March 22, 2022, I spoke with Todd from Pier 1 CS. I was confused by this delay in the cancellation and requested clarification. Again, I was told that it would take 48 hours from the time the request to cancel was made for the cancellation to take place. I found this strange, since I was canceling an outstanding order. However, I made a note to follow up later in the week.

On March 25, 2022, I again contacted Pier 1 CS and once again got Todd. I asked if the order had been canceled and if so, would I receive an email confirming this action. He checked and said the item had been canceled. I asked for an email to this effect, as well as an email indicating that I would be receiving a refund. I had to request this information; it was not automatically generated.

When I received the Pier 1 email re the refund, it stated that it would take 14-21 days to receive the refund! I find this preposterous! The order was never fulfilled, and my expectation is that I would receive the refund within 3-5 business days, as is the case with most legitimate vendors.

I don't know what happened to Pier 1, but this is not the quality of service I had experienced with Pier 1 in the past.

Desired outcome: I would like to receive my refund from Pier 1 order #845515 by this Friday, April 1, 2022.

Pier 1 Imports Cancelled order as soon as it was placed! Order#822971

Placed an order for 4 bar stools, $1700. As I was searching the web, I ran across 1000's of complaints that this company is disreputable and terrible to do business with anymore. I Had not done business with them since they were brick and mortar stores, so I was unaware. I immediately sent a chat and emailed them to cancel my order. No responses. Called first thing the next morning (had to do research to get phone number) to cancel. Was drilled as to why, then told they do not accept cancellations, but if they chose to escalate my concern, they would issue store credit only, no refunds. THIS is why I am cancelling, they are scam artists now.

Desired outcome: FULL REFUND TO MY CREDIT CARD

Pier 1 Imports Scam Alert

I purchased $100 worth of merchandise. After 2 weeks the items weren't even shipped. Asked for refund and they would not issue one. Said I could only get a 150% in store credit. This place is fraudulent and a scam. Read other reviews about Pier 1 and ****** do NOT buy from them**********.

Pier 1 Imports Item shipped to Wrong address

All I need is for Pier 1 to contact UPS for me to have my item shipped to the correct address. My package is being held at a UPS shipping facility. I have contacted UPS multiple times, but they said that Pier 1 would have to contact them. I emailed support, but they haven't responded to me! My item was shipped to my PO Box instead of the physical address I provided to Pier 1 when they emailed me and asked for it before my item shipped. UPS does not deliver to PO Boxes. I'm unable to go by the UPS shipping facility to pick it up because it is only open a couple of hours a day - from 9-12. I am at work during those hours and can't leave. I would really like to have my item since it is now sold out on the Pier 1 website.

Desired outcome: I would like to have my package sent to the physical address I provided.
