In November 2018 I personally went to th vodacom shop and cancelled one of my accounts. Last debit order to be deducted end of December 2018. Yesterday i received an sms saying my new device has been succesfully delivered. Called vodacom to hear what device and was informed it was an upgrade on the account I cancelled last year, apparently the upgrade was done online and phone delivered to an adress almost 1500 km from where I stay. Asked vodacom why was I not contacted to make sure about the upgrade and also would love to know how the person that the received the device could receive it without proof of identity. Only answer is please report to the fraud devision. Im terribly upset
I have my contract now over the 20 years and on Tuesday the 15 Jan 2019 I have called customer service to find out something and then they told me on the 31 Jan they going to deducted R 4409, 59. Then they told me I have 2 cellphone numbers on my account and it is the other number that bought data on account. Then I went to the vodacom shop they said they can't do any thing and the police all so say I don't have enough proof to open an case. I am very disappointed in vodacom because how can you open an account with no ID or signature on the contract. I am the 2nd person that I know about that found out about a contract that is been added on their name. The company that do that is in Sandton.
I emailed vodacom corporate data to complain about unauthorized data debits to the value of over R7000.00 coming off my account, along with proof as to why this should not be happening! I am still waiting for then to reply to my email.
I have a complain that dates back in 2016, despite me furnishing all the required information I am being sent back and forth. I am frustrated to the core with this treatment!
I can't believe that it takes an establishment like Vodacom more than 7 days just to cancel a subscription but it took them 30 minutes to open it...bloody capitalists mxm.
