Repair service
Dropped off 2007 passat on mar 15, 2021 per adrian hernandez technician on video states car looks good and well taken of. We took in for oveheating. Diagnostic test was done. Recommend to replace thermostat, did not hear from service dept we called several times different dates finally on 3/23 went by the dealership we were told it would cost us $1004. To repair guaranteed us car would be ready on 3/25 around 3 we called to let them know we were coming by to pick up car. We were told car was not ready, had to order another part. May be ready by 6pm that day. They would call us. No calls from them. We called again on 3/29, we were told not ready but for sure ready on 3/30 latest 3/31 again no calls from service dept. I went by on 3/31 and was told by kenneth service manager that car was not ready, car wouldnt turn on and they found several other problems but for another $900. They would run diagnostic and fix. We told them to put in thermostat and we would pick up next day. April 1 went to pick up car and we were told again by kenneth, car is in need of alot of repairs. This car was running when we brought it in. Diagnostic test was done originally. Now its sitting sitting there at the dealership car doesnt start. Not only that they had the car 3 weeks to change a themostat. Customer service is unacceptable. Kenneth was rude, uncaring, his lack of concern for his customers and sarcasm needs to be dealt with by owners. We are waiting for a call from general manager today see if he calls.
Desired outcome: I want my car fixed and running . i do have the video on my phone . had a problem adding it to this.
The lack of concern and the customer service or should i say the lack of customer service. 3 weeks to replace a thermostat is unacceptable. the Rudeness from the Service Manager Kenneth need to be addressed. My car was running it was just overheating .now it doesnt run at all. what happened, someone broke something else while replacing the thermostat. and theyre not owning up to it. my car needs to be repaired without any more monies out of my pocket
Recall service
I have been trying to get vw to stop sending recall notices to my home for several years! The car that used to be my son's was junked. Your dept tells me to call nhtsa who says to call vw. It was a passat quick vin 6p056496. My phone number is [protected]. I'm certain many customers are finding your company to be a constant irritant for the same reason. I tried to rectify this situation via your company's recall group and they stopped taking my calls. Please have a supervisor call me until they reach me (my phone does not ring when i'm in my home).
Desired outcome: Remove my address and provide a method for people in my circumstances to be removed.
VW Bloemfontein consultant giving wrong information to my warranty
ID NO:[protected]
Vehicle Reg NO:CS27NKGP
Kilometers 87700
VW Amarok
My car snapped cambelt while driving then it was taken to Bloemfontein VW dealership and was assisted by Monica Van der Westhuizen who advised me that the issue was cambelt that snapped which I was never advised by VW borgsburg or Springs, hence the breakdown.
The VW Bloemfontein advised me that the problem is a cambelt which according to her It needed to be changed when my car reach 75000km. To my surprise neither Springs or Borgsburg VW advised me of that in terms of VW when a car reaches a particular mileage one needs to change Oil, Filter and Cambelt. Therefore I feel that VW Bloemfontein have failed to treat me well by sending wrong information to my car warranty hence according to VW SA cambelt must be changed at 90000 or 120000KM and my car is at 87700km by now. She even ask me to get Job cards from the VW dealers were I was servicing the car knowing very well that kind of information is not accessible or not shared with anyone.
I will appreciate if my matter could be investigated and be advised accordingly going forward as I intend to lodge a formal compliant as well with motor industry ombudsman including my legal team.
Desired outcome: My car to payed out of VW bloemfontein
As of 02-01-21, my vw atlas has been in the auto shop awaiting vehicl
As of 02-01-21, my 2021 VW Atlas has been sitting in the repair shop (Service King of South Pasadena, CA. 91030) with no estimated date of completion due to the fact of parts being on back order and not available. I have exhausted my insurance benefits and do not have a vehicle to commute to work or get around town. I also have been making my autopayment for a car that I have no use of, not to mention my car insurance. I have been put in a very uneasy and unnecessary predicament with no help from VW. I have been trying to make contact with my case manager (Matthew W. #[protected]), and have left voicemails and/or email, but I have yet to hear a response back as of 03-01-21. Needless to say I am very aggravated sorrowful I made the decision to do business with your company. I demand that someone look into my case and take the proper course of action in remedying my predicament. It is only fair that I be compensated for things that are out of my hands. I am asking for: 1) a rental vehicle paid by your company until I am reunited with my car. 2) payment of my monthly note since I am not utilizing the vehicle. 3) Reimbursement for auto insurance paid for the length of time my car is in the shop. This has been the worst experience in trying to reach someone who can help me resolve this matter, and being such a well known car company I am astounded at your lack of insensitivity to me as a consumer. I am deeply disappointed and will make sure to share my thoughts and experience on social media platforms; family; friends/co-workers. I can only hope my situation reaches someone who actually cares about the consumer as I will continue my search up the ladder? Should someone take an interest in my case I can be reached at [protected].
Desired outcome: Rental car until my car is returned to me at your expense; my car note paid until I have possession of my vehicle.
Hours in dealership waiting to buy a vehicle...never got vehicle
I live in Chambersburg PA. and I drove to the Hagerstown Md. dealership... which is (Sheehy)?
I went in on the 26th of February to test drive a vehicle. I was given an offer but I was not satisfied with what I was offered and left.
I was contacted later with another offer.. I came back to hagerstownn MD. which is a 40 minute drive. I got to the dealership around 3:45 pm. I did not leave the dealership until 9pm that evening, without a new car.
I showed up with every intent to buy and there were quite a few other people. I was told there was only one finance person. I get that it would be slow... but FIVE hours!
I didnt have dinner and I have mnay allergies and can't jut eat anything.
I was also exhausted and had to drive home 40 minutes and I was falling asleep at the wheel.
The whole experience was terrible... My last two vehicles were from VW and I was going to buy an ATLAS but this experience has made me hate Volkswagen.
Repairs done on my vehicle by benoni city vw
Hi
I went to vw to find out on warning lights coming on and asked about coding a second hand body control unit on my car and it was booked in for that as I was told by other mechanics that is the issue
So when it was in I received a call from the service advisor the box is not working on the car so I asked him what is the next step to get my car fixed and he suggested we order a new control box from vw which we did and waited 10 days for it once this came in they then tried to programme it and was called a second time to say now the key is not working on the car to start and erase codes (so what happened to my key although pirate key I drove the car in to vw) so in any case I said lets get a new key and this took a another couple days and landed up paying almost r16000.00 in repairs took the car on a friday and on saturday the exact faults started to crop up (no left lights working, wiper fault although it works and therm0stat warning) and that the control box is faulty and they claiming it as warranty and I must wait for the box so again I went to benoni vw and left the vehicle and was called to say that they did not diagnose the vehicle and will have to do that so they then kept vehicle for another few days and stripped the dash saying a earth cable was loose and the issue is fixed and had to pay another r4000.00 +- and again took the car and few days later received a abs waring steering angle sensor and airbag warning which as driving the next day the angle sensor warning went off and again vehicle taken back and still at vw and during ll this since I took my car in I had no performance issues but from first time I took it back vehicle was cutting at 4000 revs
What kind of workshop is this as they should have checked what is causing the faults when my box was not being coded and they should have not made me pay for unnecessary repairs that was not required and why was my key code cancelled that I cannot use it anymore and they cannot fix it
Note my vehicle is a 2014 polo 1.4 tsi registration jv26dvgp
I have complained but have not had any luck with them and my vehicle has spent almost 5 weeks now at the vw
Desired outcome: I want my second key fixed.why should i be charged so much for them not following the correct repair procedure. Why must i pay for the control box if that was not the fault on the car
Brakes
I purchased my car less than a year ago eight months old and my brakes have been squeaking for three months I have explained this to the dealer and have been told several times that it's perfectly normal for them to squeak that all volkswagen cars do this I have never had a vehicle make this noise especially if it's brand new I was told that it has 10, 000 miles and that volkswagen would not be able to do anything that I could purchase new brakes if I wanted to I am very unhappy and would not recommend this product to anyone after I was told that this is perfectly normal
I want this to be fixed at no charge I'm not sure if it needs brake pads or new brakes but I do not want to listen to this noise I have plenty of friends that have Volkswagens and their brakes do not squeak
Desired outcome: Fixed at no charge
2016 jetta design to protect radiators
I am in the process of replacing the intercooler and main radiator in my jetta for the 3rd time in 18 months. There is no protection in the front bumper from these taking any impact that does not break the plastic bracket built into the radiator, thus requiring its replacement. I cannot afford to own a vehicle that has to have a $400.00 repair any time I hit a pothole.
Inefficient technical service

Good day: Sir/Madam
On the 3rd of August 2020 I took my car to Volkswoagen Newcastle Registration No HH 00 MD GP for radiator repair and they've diagnostics my car and found that radiator and air con/coolant needs to be replaced then I gave them go ahead to replace them, then it was fixed they came back and tell me thet the car is still over heating they have to check cylinder head after they checked it they said the egen is demaged they have to remove it and put the other one and when I brought my car to servers the egen light was not showing on the dash board and the car was running well, they removed my egen and put the second hand one after putting the egen they said I must buy a water pump was bought and installed after that they came back again and say the car is still overheating they told me the problem is turbo then I was not understanding anymore... And my question is how could a car in vw be installed a secondhand egen. And when they diagnose the car it must show all problemes that needs to be fixed not one by one thats my concern and the car when I bought it to then for repair it was not having any engen problem it was just liking water, on the 18th september we went there to see the car we spoke with them and they promised that they will shop around to get turbo since then we haven't heard from them and is 5 months now and now is liking oil it smoking they even refuse to trade it when we ask the say we have to go and register the engine everything will be fine when we continue to drive it, 😭😭please help because we still paying the car but we don't have it with us.
this review is for the service department.
I went to Deel and It's as if; I was being punished for having a 7 year old VW car. Took my VW to service because the ABS sensor lights and other sensors were on- (13-after computer scan). Service experience: As I arrived at the service desk; the salesman stated "that my car was very old" a 2013-with 56k miles. The estimate included: Breather valve...

VW re-occurring issue and non-existent customer care.
As expected I experienced the same issue again mid November. I dropped my car off at the dealership as per the managing director's request.
The Car remained with VW McDurling till the 28th January 2020. I requested a Courtesy car and once again got same excuses as always "they have nothing available and will inform me when one is available". For over 10 weeks I got nothing.
As usual VW South Africa and the Managing directors office were of no help. When I requested to speak to the Managing Director I was told that HE is not office bound and therefore cannot be reached apparently, and he is not available through any forms of communication. Let it be via phone or e-mail?
Each time I ask what is VW what are they going to do to resolve the issue or provide me with some sort of guarantee that I'm not in consistently stress of getting stuck somewhere, they give me a sad excuses of they cannot make a call and their hands are tied.
They then pass the buck on to the dealer principle and regional manager saying that the regional manager will review my case and make a call.
If the managing directors office has no power "As they say their hands are tied" to make a call and solve the re-occurring issue of selling me a faulty car, what can the dealer principle or regional manager possibly do? If the managing director's office can't do anything about it what can anyone below them do?
When I dropped my car off I had half a tank of fuel, when I collected it, they gave it to me empty. The fuel range reading showed 0km.
They were however very confident that this time they had managed to find the underlying problem and resolve the issue.
Collected my car on the 28th January 2020 and on the 30th January I experience the same issue again! The engine and EPC light came on, and there was loss of power, the car begins to jerk and it was not drivable. I have been having this issue from the 3rd month of buying this car BRAND NEW VW JETTA 1.4 TSI to date! SAME ISSUE 6 YEARS DOWN THE LINE!
I called VW McDulings dealer principle from the side of the road to ask what I must do now? He said he will speak to the regional manager and get back to me and as soon as a courtesy car is available I can bring my car in and take the courtesy car. To date (10 March 2020) nothing has been done and I have no communication from them regarding what is to going be done? My car is sitting in my garage eating dust!
After I have made numerous follow up calls to see what is being done to deal with this once and for all and VW South Africa never bothers to contact me, I was told that the regional manager will be assessing my reports and getting back to me with regards to what they are going to do to resolve my issue.
6 Weeks late today the 10 March 2020, I still have not received a single communication from any of them. From THE MANAGING DIRECTORS OFFICE TO THE DEAR PRINCIPLE TO THE REGIONAL MANAGER not one of them.
I am therefore posting this again hoping someone within the VW group that actually has some authority and really gives a damm about the VW brand to get in touch with me.
I hope that whom ever reads these posts note that there is NO AFTER SALE SERVICE from VW! If you bought a faulty brand new car that's your problem as VW has their money it's not their concern anymore.
Once a loyal VW Brand customer for the last 20 years.
Regards,
Vikesh

level of service
I have since towed my car to Arcadia VW on 17 December 2019. The car was booked to be repaired due to fuel mix (petrol into diesel car). A quotation of R200076 was issued for fixing the car. I clearly notified the dealership that all the payments will be made by a third-party due to them acknowledging the liability. I expected VW to fully diagnose the car...

I purchased a 2013 TDI Jetta Wagon with with 58, 544 miles on it in March of 2019. The check engine light came on 6 months later at 76, 019 miles and on 11/01/19 the dealership said that the EGR Valve and Differential Pressure Sensor were shot. The car is still at the dealership due to a back order of these parts w/the ETA for parts now set for early January. Despite the warranty and the loaner vehicle I greatly regret taking a chance on VW.
tiguan 2019 1.4 r line
So we have had an issue while driving my new Tiguan 2019 and when the car was put into park it got stuck and being frustrated I forced the gear lever which caused damage to my gear lever and had to be towed away to Vw Alberton. My wife and I were told that we can expect a quote that Monday which was not done only until Tuesday. We received a quote with all the parts which was to be replaced in total cost of R25 000 and we took full knowledge of this. However this parts was not available locally and had to be ordered ETA 10 working days, which we also accepted. In this time my wife has sent numerous emails on an update for the car and we have not received feed back from the dealership until we called in. In this the time we were advised that the parts are in PE and will be available on the 10th day. 5 mins later we received a call from the manager who says that there was a mistake and the part is actually there now, which shows me that they already have no idea of were or when the shipment is. Later that day we received a call again from the manager who says that the part that had taken 10 days to arrive was broken when fitting this on which this is the first time that they have seen this issue. Which I can not understand how a vw dealership have mechanics that are not properly trained to work on these parts or cars. We were only given a loan car when this was noticed and was given a VW UP in place of our Tiguan which we could not even use to go on holiday which we had arranged according to the lead time given to repair our car. We eventually had waited an extra 5 days which the manager had promised that the second new part would arrive and promised that this time around we are sure to get the car 100% and he needed only 4 hours to get the repair done. Once again we received a call that this time a cable had been damaged and was not seen and that my gear lever when shifting down into sport does not come back forward and had been told that this cable is not available anywhere in the world and a part number needs to be retrieved from the factory in Germany and will take 3 days for this. Now I can firstly understand how that a vw dealership does not know what is wrong with my car when it had been examined and not know how to get this resolved and break a new part which is not available locally, secondly the attitude of the manager is terrible to clients as he is trying to cover up his tracks from not knowing what is wrong with my car and how to fix this. Thirdly I would like to know why should I be charged for the cable now when this was never put onto my quote initially and I have proof that the manager says after what was done as per the quote our car will be 100%. While visiting the dealership whilst our car was being stripped we were also told that our car had been left outside without shelter because the dealership did not have rollers to move my car inside. I mean for a vw dealership not to have tools when they are doing repairs and services on a daily basis is unacceptable. I have plenty of calls from the manager and his colleague who has promised us to have this fixed but still 3 weeks later this is not resolved. I have been told by the manager today that he gives his word that the car is drivable and we just need to wait until this cable is sourced and brought it to SA.
This is not that first time I have had issues with this dealership as the same manger 6 years ago had quoted me R5000 for a new clutch on a new polo vivo car I had bought from them that had only done 3000km and I eventually still drove the car for another 3.5years afterwards and even sold this back to them after I had turned down there quotation. I really need this issue resolved ASAP as I am not getting any joy out of this dealership and the manager.
water pump and the service centre don't change it
I have volkswagen golf 7 (2016) I bought it brand new It's in very good condition I always doing my service on time and change any thing that the service centre asked me to change . last time they told me that the water pump need to change and the cost is 1000 Egyptian pound so I asked them how there is no warranty I just used the car for 28000 km .the answer was the 3 years is ended 5 month ago so I think it's not my problem it's totally clear that is a manufacturing issue and 6 month ago I was at the service centre they don't tell me that it has to change but after the warranty is ended they said that so pleas tell me what should I do I bought an Germany car because it suppose to be durable so how after just 28000km I need to change the water pump

vw polo beats - 2018
Good Day.
I purchased my VW Polo Beats Edition in March 2018. The car currently has mileage of just over 52000km.
The car has went in for all it's services.
Hatfield VW Northcliff assured me that the car is an amazing one and I wouldn't have problems with it.
To my surprise towards August 2018 the clutch cable gave up on the vehicle.
And now again(20/10/2019) - it appears to be the same problem.
I was driving on the N1 highway and the car started making strange sounds. When I stopped, the car could not move as desired when shifted into gear. It moved extremely slow until I got home.
My family and I had to push the car into my yard.
VW promised me that the car is safe and reliable.
It is extremely frightening and astonishing that a brand new car has troubles of this nature.
I refuse to drive this car again as I fear that is not reliable at all.
The car is currently parked at my home and I require assistance.
It appears to me that there could be a factory concern with this car.
I am extremely dissatisfied with this particular car of mine. It is a really beautiful car but I am extremely afraid to drive it again.
I have fully paid this car and thought that I would rather buy another car in another 10 years time. This concern has to be sorted.
slovenliness on work
I would like to file a complaint about the slovenliness of work of Tsuen Wan service center, Hongkong.
I arrived your service center at 11:26am this morning for car repairing and got a queue ticket at 11:30. Other than me, it was only one couple in the waiting area. And there are 12 service desks in your center. It was not busy in your service center. I noticed there were 3 of your staff talking and playing phone at desk 12. I thought they were not handling repairing case. I waited patiently. After waiting 20 minutes, the group of desk 12 staffs walked away. Then the staff sitting on desk 12 calling my waiting number and providing service for me. When he finished recording my problem, it was 12:02pm. The shuttle bus just left. I need to wait another 28 minutes for the next shuttle bus to subway station.
If your staff talk less or play with his phone 2 minutes less, I can get on the 12:00pm bus. However, he chosed to not working and keep me waiting for 20 minutes. That totally cost me one hour for actually 12 minutes of services. Therefore, I would like to file this complaint.
