Wag! The customer service is terrible!

The customer service is terrible! My account got hacked and they haven't done anything except ask for repetitive information. It's almost impossible to get an agent to assist. They make you use the app, but it's even worse. I would seriously think about working for a different dog walking company instead of Wag. It's extremely careless. Scammers can easily steal my money and they don't take any action. I've been waiting for three days and still no solution.

Wag! Absolutely deplorable customer service

Absolutely deplorable customer service. Don't work with Wag! The customer service reps don't care about any pet issues, even emergencies. I was hung up on multiple times after begging for help. I asked many times to speak to someone else - a manager, supervisor, anyone who could help me - and got disconnected every single time. Wag! customer service reps don't care about us or our pets. I've never received such careless customer service in my life. I'm not sure how these people are still in business.

Wag! What a scam!

What a scam! They lie. Incorrect info on trails caused me much trouble. Got me kicked off Sheltowee Trace. Had to find a daycare to board dog. Cost me hundreds. Plus, lost a full day of vacation. Also, the site never worked from the second I first tried to sign up. They made me give my phone number, email, blew up my email with junk, sold my info. Couldn't stop it, even though the app/website say you can request how your data is used. But when I tried, it didn't work. And I can't even use the website or app! I hit submit, and nothing. I wish I could bill/sue developers for all the financial trouble they have caused me.

Wag! I used WAG a few times

I used WAG a few times. My wife and I were going out of town, so I scheduled a sitter via WAG for Saturday night through Monday morning. The total cost was around $190. Six (6) full days prior to the services being provided, I cancelled. I was shocked to find out that my only option was to either cancel the service and have the $190 converted into a credit or not cancel. I could not receive my money back even though I cancelled several business days in advance. Ultimately, I cancelled. I called their customer service and asked if they could charge me a cancellation fee and refund my money. Their customer service told me that was not an option and if I spoke with the call center manager, I would get the same response. Essentially, if you timely cancel all they will do is convert your money into a WAG gift card that does not expire. There is no way I will use $190 in WAG credit since I will never use this service again, thus they might as well be keeping the money. If they are going to have this practice, they need to make users blatantly aware as soon as the download the app. I am active duty military. My wife and I were looking forward to a weekend getaway away from the installation. We are still able to go, and our dog will be cared for. But now we are stuck with a $190 in WAG credit we will never use. Would not recommend this service at all!

Wag! Pet sitting

When I go onto the Web app to see my pictures of my animals if they have taken the two days I was gone. These are not pictures of my dogs. They are pictures of cats and one is blacked out. I had to babysit my dogs at my home from July 3 to July 5, 2024. I got charged two amounts for a caregiver a dog that did not even come to my house. I never met but yet I have a receipt of her coming for a day and being charged for that amount for 128 when I already had a pet sitter here the pet sitter I had here when I go to look at the pictures of my animals. They are not pictures of my animals, which is insane one picture was blacked out and other pictures a cat I don’t have cats. I have dogs, I’m just not. I don’t understand what happened. I don’t understand what’s going on and I can’t reach anybody to talk about this. Nobody.

Claimed loss: 184.99

Desired outcome: At least you get half of my money back because the pictures of the two days I was gone we’re supposed to be pictures of my dogs and they are a cat and one picture is blacked out

Wag! Inability to cancel

I thought I had stopped my premium service on the app, but apparently since I did not completely delete my account, I have continued to be charged for 3 months. The support help center is very confusing and only tells me to delete my account, which I did today, and there is no one to talk to, so hopefully after today I won't be charged any more. But I'm hoping by letting this chat know, people will see that you have to totally delete your account with a photo ID and then pray they stop charging your credit card. My next step will have to be to cancel my credit card, which I hope I don't have to do.

Claimed loss: $30

Desired outcome: It would be nice if Wag would refund me the last 3 months of charges, but mostly I would like to be sure I am not being charged any more. I have no confidence that they will not continue to charge me even now.

Wag! app

I registered as a dog walker, paid the fee and started working on the requirements and application. To complete the application they required I down load the app, for some reason that wasn't working for me. I tried finding some contact info but everything is done with the app- Frustrating.. I guess I will try calling the number, but they should at least provide an email.. I think they are trying to be like Uber and all that.

Claimed loss: 60.00$

Desired outcome: help

I hired a Wag person to sit with my 5 month old puppy from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Christmas Day. The sitter arrived early and he seemed competent. While at the party, I checked my Ring camera to see if all was well. To my confusion, the sitter had covered the living room camera with his baseball cap. Feeling a little alarmed, I immediately went home. The...

Wag! I am a WAG walker and fell for a scam

Hello a scammer requested a service from me through the app and obtained my phone number. The service was then canceled and I started receiving phone calls. I thought it was maybe the pet parent calling but it was the scammer who had obtained my phone number.

The scammer obtained all of my information for Wag and Stripe and changed the payout method on my stripe account and got my money from a few services equaling to over 200$. The scammer said do not go on your app for 30 min, at that moment I knew I was just scammed and ran to change all of my information but the scammers MasterCard was on my account.

I had to close my bank account, pause my services, pause my payouts and lost hard earned money.

I have already spoken with Stripe and they said come to WAG regarding this issue and keep track of the whole conversation.

Claimed loss: 2 payouts to the scammers MasterCard, one equaling to $92.64 and the other equaling to $111.10 on Nov 2

Desired outcome: Money refunded.

Wag! We hired a dog sitter thru Wag!

We hired a dog sitter thru Wag! thinkin' they'd actually take care of our dogs. But when we got back from our trip, that wasn't the case at all. Our animals didn't have water for who knows how long, and we had to rush one to the vet 'cause she was dehydrated. We reckon our other dog didn't get fed right 'cause she needed extra vet care too. And to top it off, they didn't finish givin' our other dog her prescription, so we had to take time off work to watch her health. We want a full refund for the service, reimbursement for the emergency vet visit, and compensation for the time we had to spend takin' care of our sick dogs. All of this is 'cause of the caretaker's negligence that Wag! hooked us up with.

Wag! I tried out Wag!

I tried out Wag! Premium pet walking service and used it only 3 times before realizing that the service wasn't up to the standards they promised on the app and website. So, we decided to cancel the service and asked for a refund of the premium service for the remaining 3/4 of the first month. However, the company didn't respond to our request. We sent them many emails and reached out on social media, but received no response. It was quite a hassle to find their customer service phone number, and it took me more than an hour to finally get through to someone at the call center. Unfortunately, the person I spoke to had no clue how to help me. She admitted that it was Wag!'s mistake to charge me for a second month of premium, but she couldn't remove it from the bill. As a result, I'm now seeking a refund for both months of premium, which amounts to $29.90.

Wag! I'm a caregiver on the app called Wag

I'm a caregiver on the app called Wag. I walk dogs for a small fee and Wag gets a percentage of the fee for using their app. They deactivated my account supposedly for a community violation with no warning or reason as to what the violation is that was violated. I also have money due to me as well. This app doesn't allow you to contact anyone via phone and I'm not getting any answers. They tend to persecute those who work through their app for any reason they think is a violation without any explanation or allowing you to defend yourself. I have no complaints against me from any of the pet parents whom I have provided a service. I have a great overall rating with the app as provided from these pet parents. So, I can't see any real reason for my account to be deactivated and owed money paid. Whatever you can do to assist me in getting paid, I would greatly appreciate.

Wag! I got asked by Wag!

I got asked by Wag! to join their fancy membership thingy. They said it's $14.99 a month and comes with lots of cool stuff. On their website, they talk about all the discounts you can get with the membership. They even have logos for their partners, like DogTV. So, I tried using the discount code for DogTV on the app, but it didn't work. I had to call Wag! to figure out what was going on. The person I talked to had no clue about the discounts and had to talk to their boss. At first, they said the code wasn't from them. I had to show them a picture of their own app to prove that they offer discounts. Then they said the discounts are old, even though the website says they're new. They asked for some technical stuff and said their tech team would contact me, but they never did. I'm paying for this fancy membership, but they're telling me about perks that don't exist and their own employees don't even know about them.

Wag! I use the dog walking app called "Wag" to take care of dogs by walking, sitting, and boarding them

I use the dog walking app called "Wag" to take care of dogs by walking, sitting, and boarding them. My most recent boarding experience was really bad. One of the two dogs that stayed with me for a week got into the trash, had diarrhea all over my apartment, and had a bad ear infection. I didn't know if I should take the dog to the vet, so I contacted the Wag support team. They told me that the pet parent and I needed to decide who would pay and what to do. The pet parent decided that I should take her dog to the vet and she would reimburse me. She also had to extend her trip because her flight was delayed and said she would add extra money to the tip for the vet bill, the extra day, and to clean my carpet. So, when the boarding was finished, she said she would give me $850, but I only received $684 to cash out. I immediately contacted her. She sent me screenshots showing that she paid $850. I then called customer support, but they were not helpful. The lady avoided the issue and kept saying that my earnings were affected because I had fixed rates. I thought it was crazy that Wag gets to decide how much money I should receive for my hard work. So, I emailed the Wag support team, but I never heard back from anyone. The app claims that I get 100% of my tips, but I didn't. They show that my service was $374.40, but on the pet parent's side, it shows that my service was $539.42. I have screenshots of everything. Then I did some research and found out that this is actually a common problem. Wag is taking people's money. They are exploiting vulnerable individuals who dog sit or board for extra money by stealing their earnings.

Wag! I got scammed out of $600

I got scammed out of $600. I walk dogs for Wag. My bank info got changed and the money was taken out on 2 separate dates. It's been impossible to get help from Wag to get my funds back. They keep giving me the runaround and there's no real customer service. Emails take a day or so to get a response. There's no phone number to talk to anyone. Finally, when I got an email, they said it was my fault, even though my info was breached through their platform. Also, my newly earned money is still stuck in the app and they're not releasing it or helping me get it back. I gave them all the necessary info to look into it and speed up the process, but they don't care. It's been 3 weeks now and I still don't have my funds. It's a total of $1100 and they won't help me. There's no department to handle these cases. They haven't opened a case to investigate my problem or provided a solution. I've been without money for 3 weeks now and they're telling me I have to wait another week to get my money. They also suggested I use instant pay if I want it sooner, but there's a fee for that. Either way, it's not working and I've told them about it. They don't care and show no remorse in giving me what's mine. I've spent a whole week fighting to get my money back. I'm sick to my stomach and incredibly stressed out. I've given them everything they asked for, including screenshots and contacting the bank right away to clear any possible issues. This company doesn't care about us dog walkers. They only care about collecting their money. I told them I'll contact ComplaintsBoard.com, but they don't care. Nothing has been done yet.

Wag! In mid-March 2023, we sought dog sitting services and discovered Wag through an online search.

In mid-March 2023, we sought dog sitting services and discovered Wag through an online search, then created an account. On March 15, we looked for dog sitting services for a week in April, submitted a service request, and awaited responses. We got a reply that evening. During a chat with a provider, we inquired about their children since our dog struggles with kids. They had two, so we agreed it wasn't a fit and canceled the request, expecting another match via the Wag app. We checked our bank and found a $317.49 cancellation charge from Wag. The app's fee structure for finding matches was unclear. Concerned about accruing more fees, we sought a refund. Wag texted they couldn't refund us. We called their service line the next day, demanding a full refund. Customer service and a manager only offered a credit on Wag, which we declined, losing trust in their service. They still refused a refund, so we ended the call. We filed a complaint with a consumer agency and the ComplaintsBoard.com. Reviewing Wag's terms, we found no clear fee policy for match searches or failed matches. We initially suspected a scam due to the high charges without service and disputed the charge with our bank.

Wag! We was lookin for dog sittin services for the week of April ***, 2023

We was lookin for dog sittin services for the week of April ***, 2023. We found Wag! via a *** search for similar services. We made an account the week of 13 March 2023. We made a service request on 15 March 2023 and waited to see what kind of responses to our request we would get. We got a response the evenin of 15 March 2023. While textin with the potential provider, we asked if they had small children as our dog don't do well with children. The provider had two small children and understood that this wasn't a good match. The provider said just cancel the request and another potential match would be made. We thought another match would happen via the Wag! smart phone app. We checked our bank account to make sure we hadn't been charged and discovered that Wag! had charged us $317.49 for the cancellation. The app ain't clear in their fees related to process of searchin for a match for our pet sittin needs. We was scared that each time a match was offered, if it didn't work, we would be charged the $300+ fee. Not wantin to make the disputed amount increase, we asked for a refund. Wag! texted that they couldn't give a refund. We called their service number the next day, explained the situation and asked for a full refund. Both the customer service representative and manager offered a credit on Wag! We said no, tellin them we had lost confidence in how their service worked and asked for a full refund. They kept refusin, so we ended the call. We filed a complaint with the *** and now are filin this complaint with the ComplaintsBoard.com. We looked again through the Wag! terms and conditions and couldn't find any discussion of fees associated with searchin for a match for our pet needs or a clear explanation of fees for failed matches. At first we thought Wag! might be a scam if they were chargin such large amounts for not providin any services. We also filed a dispute with our bank.
