WebHostingPad web hosting

This company is absolutely terrible to do business with. I wish I had researched them before doing business with them.Reviews and ratings are all over the internet. But yes they got me too. I canceled my hosting with them but paid for my domain name & canceled their services for web hosting. Also I canceled the auto renewal of allowing them to withdraw the fees from my bank. They took it upon themselves to still charge my bank account and refuse to refund my money. Trust me, there are many great web hosting sites out there. . Go on the net and do research before, check reviews, check for fraud reports & check for scam alerts before using any web hosting service. This company fails all the previously stated

WebHostingPad The are charging way more than what is offered on their web

It's the worst company, please do not buy any hosting plan with this company. the site goes down almost 2 times a month and we had to struggle to get back online and when I signed up for 3 years they charged me $359, I was stupid I just realized after several months when I was going through this pain of site going down.
I called them today, and the guy said we won't get anything back if I cancel because 30 days money back period is gone. I told them charge me what till today and refund the rest of the months charge, he said I don't get a dime. It sucks big time...SAY NO TO WEBHOSTINGPAD please.

WebHostingPad Cheating affiliates without paying

How affiliates get cheated by web hosting pad - Sad thing is that - after the sale is over it reflected in my affiliate account. Later it disappeared. - and after that I wrote the below mail on June 2014.
____

Hi, I am xxxxj, a long time customer of Webhostingpad.I had a affiliate sale made for a website abc.com - as this person was a client I asked him to book the domain in front of me only - he did not use any coupon and all, directly he purchased the hosting from my url which I provided. www.webhostingpad.com/5922.html. Whereas, - the affiliate manager has rejected my commission. This seems like I am recommending webhostingpad.com to my clients - many buy from it, but only few buy using my link. Last time also one commission was rejected like that - now how do I believe it is ethically rejected. Might be its a genuine sale also, but the affiliate person would have rejected. I am so much upset, as being a customer of webhostingpad for so many years, I felt like cheated. Thats why thought to escalate the issue. I wish you would investigate this further.

WebHostingPad Cheating and poor service

1. Be careful on the promotion given by webhostingpad.com.
I saw there is a good deal on the webhostingpad.com that listed lot of feature given (especailly free domain) and it was in promotion. So, I signed up for the promotion but it charge me additional price for domain registration without given any notification. There claimed that the promotion is without the domain registration. It is cheating people.

2. Suspend account without given notice
My website and web control panel was suspended with out giving any notification. They only let me know after I sent the support ticket. The excute gave is that one of my webiste is causing the server overloaded. The "unlimited" hosting is the lowest limit I ever seem because I only hosting 3 not very active website.

3. Delete website
After the account being suspended, they said that have to delete off my website without giving any chance for me to rectify or find the root cause. Is this the way to solve problem?
If it's just a coding error, then it should be able to rectify (further more it's is a wordpress blog). webhostingpadcom did not offer any rectification option.

It's a terrible service. I will definately use it any more.

WebHostingPad Billed Credit Card Twice Hidden Fees

I ordered a 3 year internet plan, never recieved information on how to log into the plan. Paid for the three years, 30 days later my credit card was charged for an additional 3 years. I tried calling the ficticous (kitchen table) customer service, was told, I did not unclick additional services I bought that were at the bottom of the screen... lol. I have never sety up a web site, my total read for the 3 years. I would have never added anything additional. This is a nightmare. THe customer service rep replied, "Oh well, your problem, not mine." If I had went to the BBB first, I would have saw the 150 other complaints. Don't be scammed. It is is a major scam!

WebHostingPad Billing Fraud @ WebHostingPad

I have been duped by webhostingpad.com. I registered around 2 months back for 3 years. And, I am very sure that I did not ask for any free 30 day thingies. After 30 days, they have charged me on various things amounting to 80 odd dollars.

I reached out to the billing support and they said that I have subscribed to it and nothing can be done about it. I asked for an escalation point and it has been over 15 days, they have not responded back to me. I have sent out multiple mails, raised tickets on their site, and yet, they are not getting back to me.

Services are:

100 GB Offsite Storage
Advanced Web Stats
Advanced Spam Filter
Webhostingpad.com Business Directory List

I never asked for any of these services and yet they are charged to my card after 30 days.

Yes they haven't paid me my affliate commission. I was sitting next to my client while purchasing my partner url. After 30 days they simply said, that sale is not from me, and hence commission cannot be paid. Later I have raised so many tickets, but they put on hold. Which gives a clear idea, they do cheat customers as well as affiliates.

Webhostingpad.com is the worst web host scam in the world... Two years ago, I made the mistake of signing of for two years of hosting. Three months later, I cancelled my account (lost all of my money I paid for two years)... and I went to a much better web host. Then, I just discovered they illegally billed my credit card again for another two years without my permission. I emailed them about this, and they responded in their typical fashion- rude and ugly. I reported this fraud to my credit card company and had the charge removed. I have filed a complaint with the IC3 and the FBI. I also filed a report with the Secret Service, and am working on a report with the Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau.

WebHostingPad Web Hosting Pad Ripoff

I purchased a domain and hosting package from Web Hosting Pad, Inc, over a year ago. In that time, I decided I would not renew my purchase for the following year, and as my credit card would soon expire, I simply did not renew the card on their files.

They then submitted my information to a non-English-speaking collections agency, that has since harassed me non-stop to pay the balance. I did not authorize the renewal fee, as I no longer wished to utilize their services. I paid the full amount for the services I wanted, and did not knowingly authorize any further charges.

When I attempted to resolve the issue, they responded with this very not-helpful email:

In order to cancel your account, you needed to submit a cancellation form which is available on our website in our billing terms at http://www.webhostingpad.com/billing_policy.html which also explains how renewals, cancellations, and billing is handled.

These are the same terms and policies you agreed to at the time of signup. This was confirmed by you on our order form by indicating that you had read and agreed to the terms. If they were not agreeable, you would not have been able to sign up with us.

To resolve this issue, you will need to pay the collection agency in full.

Translation for I and all future customers:

Suck it. Just because you didn't knowingly agree to our forced continuity program doesn't mean you're off the hook! Pay up and then we'll call off the collection agency.

There are a million other hosting companies with better services, better rates, and infinitely better customer service systems (search for reviews on Hostmonster, Godaddy, Webolocity, etc) . I don't normally post up negative reviews on any company, but Web Hosting Pad has set a new standard in truly lame customer experiences.

The first incident involves when I signed up with Web Hosting Pad for web hosting service and they charged my credit card $11.95 for some type of business listing service without my permission. My credit card institution has since reversed the charge.

The next incident involves this company trying to charge me a $12 fee for changing my "primary domain name, " but this $12 charge is no where stated in the terms & conditions, billing terms, or their private policy. Web Hosting Pad acknowledges that the $12 fee is not mentioned in their terms & conditions, billing terms, or their private policy; however, they state that its mentioned on their web site.

This company charges credit cards falsely and makes up charges to which their is no justification for. Very shady business! I have brought this matter up with many of the call center reps, all to which have not resolved anything. I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint, to which Kelly Fitzgerald (office manager) has replied to, allowing the $12 fee to be "waived" at her request. Since then, Jason Newman (CEO) has rescinded and overridden Kelly's resolution offer; thus creating a bate-and-switch scenario.

The only resolution I have gotten is from my credit card company who has reversed the deceptive charge Web Hosting Pad charged my account with. However, the $12 fee incident has NOT been resolved!

I have a default judgement against Webhostingpad because they ignored the claim made via their registered agent. I made a second attempt to have the judgement served at Ann S. Choi's home address as given by Brent S. above (108 Mitchell Circle, Wheaton, IL) and service came back from the Dupage County Sheriff as the current resident bought the house from the defendant. Exactly when was not specified. Not totally surprising given Brent's posting was four years ago. So if anyone has Ann Choi's current address I will make another attempt at service. Thank you for your help.

I couldn't agree more with these comments. I host with 11 shared hosting providers and WebHostingPad is by far the worst I've ever experienced. Every aspect of their service is terrible. The only reason they have existed to this point is their low price continues to bring in the unaware. Don't let it happen to you. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

COMPLETE WEB REVIEWS, INC. d/b/a Web Hosting Pad is absolutely the worst hosting company in America. I have been a customer of theirs since 2008. I paid in full for three years for $4.99 long before they dropped their price to $1.99. Since 2008 my websites have gone down consistently for hours at a time on a weekly basis. I never complained for fear they would take retributive action considering they have all my files and backups. In April this year we emailed them about a possible virus on the site. They sent a generic response and did nothing and did not reply to my responses. A couple of days ago we noticed that most of our files had been infected. We requested that they restore a good backup since they do “weekly backups.” They said they would so and would recreate our account. Instead, they deleted three of my websites and are refusing to reply to any of our emails requesting the login info and blow us off every time we call. This is fraud, breach of contract, and may be a criminal conversion of property, or so the police tell me. Beware of COMPLETE WEB REVIEWS, INC. d/b/a Web Hosting Pad.

We have since transferred our hosting to the company that singed us up to begin with, Search Engine Partners, and for the same price they have us on a Virtual Private Server. Search Engine Partners have also advised that about 10 of their clients have had the exact same problems with COMPLETE WEB REVIEWS, INC. dba Web Hosting Pad. I say be band together for a class action suit against them!

- I TRIED TO CANCEL:
I used Web Hosting Pad for a year, but I was unsatisfied with their user support and features. Once I decided that I would cancel my account and go with someone else, I called them to cancel over the phone. I spoke with someone in Sales and they said that it had been cancelled and I would get a refund minus the domain registration; cool, or so I thought!

A day went by and still no email. I finally was able to speak to a billing rep, and they said my cancellation was never processed and that they indeed charge my card for another year! She then told me that I needed to fill out a cancellation form which can only be found after reading the Terms & Conditions then clicking a billing policy link then clicking a cancellation form link which is NOT in bold print like the other categories within the billing policy!

So I went along with filling out the form, and I was told that I would receive a refund within 7-10 business days of the amount charged less the domain registration costs. So it's 8 days later today, and no refund (yes, they have 2 days left and those scammers are waiting).

CUSTOMER SERVICE:
I wanted to make sure that my refund was being processed, so I followed the link that they provided (to see my refund status) in the cancellation request email that they sent me. I entered the unique password they gave me to view "my ticket" and it DID NOT WORK! They had the nerve to direct me to the forums page; I kid you not!

Next I CALLED BILLING BUT NO ANSWER. The only extensions that were open (and usually the only extensions that ever answers) were SALES (of course they're always open to get that $) and SUPPORT (which had me on hold for over 15 mins at 10:30 am PST until I hung up). I sopke to someone in Sales and he referred me to Billing and then told me that I would receive a refund less a $25 LATE CANCELLATION FEE and domain registration fee. Yet the boast that they have a 30-Day Money Back Guarantee & NO HIDDEN FEES!

The $25 Late Cancellation fee was not in bold or italicized and can only be between all of the other b-s.

FINAL THOUGHTS
In California, most late fees are illegal anyway. You can't penalize people for being late; you can only charge them for what it costs you as a result of them being late ( and I think there's a 10% default rate over a year, which translates to less than 1% per month, if an exact assessment of the damages can't be found). Plus, Web Hosting Pad's website reads that there is a 30-Day money back guarantee and does not specify that it's for new accounts! And, what exactly was I late for; not filling out a useless form that is only accessible after clicking on hidden links?! Does it really cost them $25 to process my cancellation? Um NO!

I have referred 2 new accounts to them, and you would think that they would have some regard for me as a customer. After all they boast about their "Award Winning Customer Service" on http://www.webhostingpad.com/aboutus.html. That's BS!

Wether my refund is granted partially or in full, I WILL NEVER USE WEB HOSTING PAD again and I will not refer any of my clients to them in the future. They are deceptive and shady. I am more than willing to cut my losses and do business with a quality web hosting company that is confident in the services that they provide, up front, and have top notch customer service. SO LONG WEB HOSTING PAD, you suck!

i've had this exact problem with two previous providers. WebHostingPad is no exception to these kinds of abuses, and is, almost certainly, just another front-end to one of the huge resellers which currently plague the internet

some providers have even posted charges long after service has been canceled, simply because the card information was on file - seriously ! we all need to check our charge cards each month for this kind of fraud, and report it immediately. i found out the hard way that changing your number (card providers will do this at the drop of a hat if you suspect your card has been compromised) does not prevent any authorized autopay withdrawals from being forwarded to the new number - that would have been a great way to stop these people from robbing us blind

whenever possible pay for hosting with PayPal, which cannot be charged without your consent, and ignore collection agencies when they call - file a letter explaining your side of the story with a credit bureau if you are worried about your credit rating being damaged. anyone checking your credit rating will likely be aware of such abuses, and making this small effort will make all the difference

wish i could recommend an honest company - or even one with decent customer service !

best of luck in the future -

I have the exact same problem, only I haven't even used the service in almost a year! They sent 3 e-mails to an e-mail address I didn't check within a 9 day period, and then turned it over to collections. Is that even legal? I received no written notice or phone call, even though they had my telephone number and address. I am curious, however, according to their terms of service/billing policy:

Accounts that are thirty (30) days past due will be automatically suspended. All past due and unpaid balances are subject to collection. In the event of collection, you will be liable for costs of collection including attorney's fees, court costs, and collection agency fees.

And because my account is suspended but only 15 days past due, shouldn't that be an error on their part?

WebHostingPad Charges made against my credit Card

Package taken up- Power Plan
Hosting Taken up- 15/10/2009

Credit Card Number - **************3649 a purchase of US$ 11.950 has been made using my credit card by webhostingpad on 20/10/2009. I had been infomed that it was for the add on services being taken. But if the add-on services are free for the first month, then why was I charged in 1 week after taking up the hosting plan.

I have made enquiries to billing, support and even chat. No one has replied back. I had requested for the cancellation of all add-on service for which there is no reply.

I hence for request for refund of all the charges made against my credit card without my knowledge. I would agree only for the payment made to for the Power Plan only.

Thanks,

I had the exact same issue with Web Hosting Pad and the company told me that they would not reverse the charges. This is the most stubborn company I have ever dealt with in my entire life over any business out there...this is no joke...the most stubborn. I submitted numerous inquiries, but they did not even budge. I wrote to BBB, but they did not reply. My credit card company issued me a credit for the $11.95 charge.

This company has a 0% customer resolve!

I also wanted to change my primary domain name and they wanted to charge me $12. Nothing is stated about this fee when I signed up...not in their terms & conditions, billing terms, or their private policy. I was told by their office manager, that she would personally waive the $12 fee, but the CEO (Jason Newman) rescinded the offer.

WebHostingPad WebHostingPad.com Scam, Fraud

I had purchased web hosting from webhostingpad.com for my site. Webhostingpad.com sudanally sutdown my website after six month. I contacted them and as per webhostingpad ADMIN, they said some hacker tried to hack my site and that caused their server problem and they are trying to fix it. After that they suspended my website. I contacted them but they said they will not provide me the hosting services and I have to move to some other provider and I did it.

When I contacted their billing department to refund my 6 month hosting fee which I paid they denied stating that somebody does not like your site and they were trying to hack your site and that cause our server problem. I asked them that as per your email it was not my problem then how you are telling me that its because of my site you faced server problem and webhostingpad will not refund you.

I know its not a big money involve for that I am complaining, I am filing complain because they are cheating, they are not able to fix hacker's, shutting down the website without any notice and asking their client to move without refunding. I am sure their are lot of peoples may have same issues with this company.

Here is the email they sent me.

Server 302 downtime‏

Hello

On behalf of all of us at WebHostingPad.com we would like to apologize for the recent downtime on your account. Unfortunately we have had several DDoS (denial of service) attacks on the server you are hosted on, which forced us to change your shared server IP as of September 2, 2009 at approximately 12:30am CST (-6). Please note that none of your data has been lost, and once propagation is complete your websites as well as e-mail, cpanels, and everything else hosted here will return to normal. Many of you still may be experiencing propagation issues (website/e-mail/cpanel unusual uptime and downtime will be evident during this time), and we do ask that you allow up to 24 hours for complete propagation to the new IP address.

Again we do apologize for this great inconvenience and we appreciate all of your patience and understanding while we worked to resolve this issue.

WebHostingPad hosting

I payed too hosting 146 $ and for statistics awstats 12 $ in three years from above. After the period of the guarantee of the repayment of money it is after thirty days, for me an account was frozen explaining that my side too much is burdening the processor and the memory of frames. They didn't give me the possibility of possible repair or taking their files from them! I had to reconstruct all files. Now I have a website on hostmonster.com and there he doesn't have a problem with my side! I think that the webhostingpad.com company came into existence only for in order to cheat customers! From them he doesn't have no help or warnings that something is not this way! I lost 158 dollars and my side! http://groteska.ne
