I will be sure and tell 250 people in southeast Florida how terrible your service is.
I left a message with Weichert’s answering service Sunday 11/1/2009; 3 days later Rachel Bracha leaves a tired sounding message on my voice mail leaving me HER phone # that goes to voice mail when I call back the next day.
I access my Weichert web account and send Rachel an email requesting info on renting a certain property listed for $1, 000 per month, requesting exact info. Next day I get an email from Weichert saying that Rachel is dropping me as a prospect.
These people should be banned from conducting any real estate transactions in Florida, imo.
I quote below:
“Our Account Executive Rachil Bracha, REALTOR, has indicated that you are no longer interested in assistance with information on Miami Real Estate. ”
I call the office Monday AM, give two property listing #’s — both listings have the WRONG rental price per month. instead of the rental rate of $1, 000 per month, the condo rents for $1, 000 per week.
The new agent I called asks me what date the 4 month seasonal rental will be, I reply sometime in December it will start. That’s not good enough for her, she becomes argumentative and says that she needs the precise date. I tell her I am just formulating plans and want general information and accurate property listings to select from.
I ask the agent for a listing that is accurate on the website for a Sunny Isles rental on the beach. Two times I select a $1, 000 per month rental listing, two times the listing rents for $1, 000 per week.
When confronted with how inaccurate her website is she is unable to provide me with the information and hangs up.
Meanwhile, I go to Craigslist, type in “season” + “internet” + “beach” and get 79 property listings in the south florida area.
Obviously the clients that have listings with Weichert should go somewhere else.
stay away
We just closed on a home in spite of the buyer’s agent, Betty Penelton and everyone else at Weichert Realty of Rye, NY. From the beginning, Betty, who should have worked on our behalf, worked against us. She would not lobby for us with the seller — infact I believe she was in cahoots with the selling agent (also from Weichert) and the seller. We had an agreement and a signed contract and the seller wanted to re-negotiate. Whenever we needed Betty to lobby the seller on our behalf, she refused. She made typos on contracts and fact sheets which cause major problems with our mortgage lender. We chose to go with Weichert Financial services and then when we got the committment letter, the financial services didn’t give us what we were promised (on paper), so we started all over with a different lender. All in all, Betty Penelton and Weichert Realty put up road block after road block in our home purchase and made the whole experience a nightmare. It was only due to my husband’s and my tireless emails, letters and phone calls that we got the purchase completed. Use any other realty besides Weichert in Rye, NY!
I had the same thing happen to me in Greeneville TN my agent is a dirty crook and so is this company. this agent Bill Anderson steals homes! advocates for the buyer and realtors, He misrepresents the seller and lines up the contract for lawsuites with a lawyer friend and church buddy, which handles his divorce. UNETHICAL Weichert Dirty dirty company
misrepresentations about location
Plaintiffs, tenant owners of a residential cooperative unit, allege that they were “ripped off” and incurred damages as a result of ommissions and/or misrepresentations by Defendant Weichert Realtors of 310 Main Street, Fort Lee, its real estate agents, the seller of the cooperative unit and the cooperative association in connection with the location of the major mechanical systems of the building beneath the apartment and disturbing noises arising from the operation of these systems.
the manager at weichert was not responsive
Weichert promised a virtual tour, open house every weekend, weekly ads in the paper, and a stress-free experience where everything would be handled with expertise. None of these things happened as promised. Communication was poor and unprofessional. The realtor included my hot tub in the listing without my permission. This mistake cost me $3500. My home was left unlocked and lights/heat were left on. Personal items were taken. I was severely misguided about real estate throughout the listing.
The realtor cost me the first offer on the home because she did not show up to the inspection. She went to Las Vegas without transferring the listing to another realtor in her absence. The deal subsequently unraveled. She then gave me poor advice which locked me into a second offer while a third and higher offer was forthcoming. This cost me $5, 000.
The manager at Weichert was not responsive. He took no responsibility for the poor service I had been receiving. I was shocked that someone in his position could be so aloof and unconcerned about customer service. He did not offer an apology for the problems I encountered. All he said was "well we sold your house so what do you care about the other stuff?" My response to that statement is this: I priced the house below market value so anyone who had the listing at the time would have gotten the sale. Despite having been the realtor at the time of the sale, the 6% commission was not earned. I asked for a reduction in the commission and he refused. The regional VP also refused. If I went to a restaurant for dinner and got horrible service, should the waiter be given a 20% tip? What if the waiter said "well, you ate so what do you care?" This is representative of the managers/VPs attitude. There was absolutely no accountability for the broken promises, mistakes made, poor communication, unprofessional conduct, and misguidance that I received.
Weichert next door thinks it's OK to park in my spot!
unpaid commission
am writing to you in Regards to Barry Turk (license number 31TU1108437)who was licensed Principal Broker and his partner and associate broker william Deegan associate broker of Weichert Shore to Shore which had a location in West Islip New york which closed and was last operating from an office at 84 Nesconset Hwy in Port Jefferson Station NY, 11776. Mr. Turk was allegedly receiving commission advances on transactions closed from his Licensed sales agents. He would then also take the full commission checks after closings, and either not pay agents for several months, or in some cases not at all. Annie Bos, a Realtor was one of their office managers at his first location in west Islip which closed due to financial hardship. Mrs. Bos can verify his misdeeds and can be reached at (631) 374-29xx. Another office manager at the Port Jefferson location is Jim Macintosh and he can be reached (631) 374-92xx. Another witness and victim is Chris Berkowitz, Realtor and can be reached at (631) 312-03xx. I am sure Annie Bos can give you several other people who were not paid commissions earned and or were made to wait many months for their commission. Aside from not paying said commissions and allegedly embezzling other funds, there are several other agents, myself included, who are now at the Mercy of the Bankruptcy court. Weichert Shore to Shore filed for chapter 7 (info on that is included) . I am gravely upset and financially burdened because a house in which I was the selling agent (3 Tree top path Nesconset NY 11767) Closed on July 15Th 2008 and the commission check was taken from me and put into the Trustee account. I was initially told by Fred Kantrow attorney and Bankruptcy trustee of the Eastern division bankruptcy court that I would get my full commission after I filed proof of claim and waited about 120 days to one year. I then spoke to Mr. Kantrow on 8/11/08 and the story changed to I need to wait 1-2 years and I will be lucky to get any amount of money at all. Mr Kantrow can be Reached at (631) 935-18xx.
To summarize I am greatly disturbed that activity like this to go on and not only are these two brokers not punished or held Liable but Barry Turk is still fully Licensed. William Deegan who handled most of the financed for the company denies direct involvement and states he had no knowledge of any of this. This is contrary to his position as partner and the chief handler of commission splits and company money. Mr. Deegan may or may not have done anything illegal but it is hard to believe he was unaware as half owner/partner, that agents were not being paid. Mr Deegan since has left Real estate all together and is employed by an alarm company according to Mrs Annie Bos. I was unable to find him currently licensed so he either revoked his own license or did not renew. I am not sure of Barry Turks location because he has since been going through divorce procedures and has an order of protection against him set by his wife, no longer owns his home in Huntington, and is said to have an apartment somewhere. Mr. Deegan's address is on complaint form.
I am also now personally financially burdened as I was expecting my cut of the $12, 500 commission which is $8, 855. I can simply not afford to lose that amount of money. It is unfair to have worked with clients for over a year, sit at the closing table and have the check I earned handed over to a Bankruptcy trustee. I should have by all moral and ethical right been paid my share that day and have the rest taken by the trustee and divided out. I am not a big corporation who can have this taken away from me and recover. Mr. Turk in the past made me wait over one month after a closing and attempted to ask me to take more than the commission I earned if I were to wait longer because he had other Bills to pay. Now that the money is held in a trust I am not sure what action I can take or if the State can assist me at all but at the very least someone should investigate the unscrupulous and unprofessional behavior that took place. It is not an easy market to make money to begin with and losing $8, 855 dollars is a huge hit to me and my family.
Any help or information about the situation myself and other past agents of Weichert Shore to shore have endured would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much for your Time

real estate fraud
I was the victim of a bait and switch scam in 2005 when I lost the representation of a sham buyers agent, who switched roles at the very last moment to become a sellers agent without my informed consent. My experience is quite typical of the victimization of hundreds of thousands of unwary clients every year by inept or unethical real estate agents. To find...

Barry Turk and Bill Deegan owner’s of Weichert, Realtors Shore To Shore who owned tow offices in New York Long island one in West islip on Higbie Ln, and one in Port Jefferson Station on Necinset Hwy. They closed there office with out paying there agents there commissions on Real Estate deal made.
Terrible real estate agent. Wasn’t helpful. Was rude. Yelled at me pretty much. Did not enjoy the showing and will never be back to Weichert after experiencing this terrible person. And I will tell everyone to not go here as well.
WARNING: DO NOT WORK WITH "BARRY TURK" ON ANY REAL ESTATE PROSPECT. HE WILL ROB YOU, AND LEAVE YOU HANGING. THE MAN SHOULD BE IN PRISON
Barry Turk is simply nothing more than a Con Man. I found him on Craigslist, and MLS to get a Rental Home for Mom, and myself. I take care of Mom, and she was 92 at the time, .We wanted to move out East from Nassau County in the spring of 2016. Barry found a few rental properties within a few days, and we fell in love with a nice 3 bedroom House in Selden, NY for $2, 100, 00 a month. There was the required deposit of $2100, and 2 months Rental fee after the deal goes through. He came to my house on a Rocket Board so fast with his hands out in desperation to collect the $2, 100.00 . Like a homeless man who has not eaten in weeks. Mom, and I were new to this, and he did produce a form saying that the deposit money would be given back if the deal falls through. We handed him $2, 100.00 that night, and waited, and waited for a call. Nothing! FFW 3 days, and I noticed online MLS that the house was RENTED. I called Barry, and he told us not to worry, that the info I read online was a typo. He said'hang in there, these Rentals take time'.I ended up going to MLS, and saw that there were 3 other Real Estate agents involved with this house in Selden, NY. I called one, and asked him if he knew what the status was on the House, and he said it was Rented 2 days ago. I said to him, 'Impossible', my Real Estate guy Barry said it wasn't. He said to me, I should not have given the $2, 100.00 to him until you knew the deal was solid. Little did I know, I was naive, and in a hurry to get out of the old house. Barry told me eventually the the house was rented to another family, and that they left him out of the loop. When I researched his name, and the 2 old dog real estate reviews I was ASTONISHED! His Ratings were F - minus. I proceeded to read all the negative reviews about him Stealing peoples money, and always giving them some sort of B/S story about his troubles, and woes. I asked him for my money back, and he said it was tied up in other business activity. I was livid, and called him 3 times a day.I was hell bent on getting my Money back. How can he steal from a nice guy, and a 92 year old Lady? Well 3 years has gone by, and after 2 years of calling him weekly, and him giving us that same old story, about how he owes everyone money, and when he makes a sale, or comes into money, we will see the $2, 100.00 . Yeah..OK. I believe I have a better chance of waking up tomorrow looking like Fred Astaire than seeing the $2, 100.00 that he owes us.Do not work with Him on any Real Estate Prospect that involves you giving him money, or a deposit. He will take your money with no second though of ever giving it back to you. Live, and learn., I did, and I am out $2, 100.00 on account of this miserable human being Barry Turk
Its been 3 years and they still owe me $8800. They are such sneaky crooks and are not to be trusted
