important tax information
It is February 18th, and my husband Austin Steckowski still has not received his 2015 W2. We cannot file our taxes until he receives his information. What is taking so long? The federal deadline for them to be sent out by was January 31, almost four weeks ago. This is ridiculous and not the first time this has happened to one of us. The longer we have to wait, the more we risk not filing on time and getting in trouble by the government through no fault of our own. Your company is despicable.

bait and switch
Today is Sunday March 1st. Last night I went through the online circulars to find the products I use regularly on sale. I was very pleased to find my "Starbucks" 48oz. coffees on sale for 2 for $9. Most of the Weis stores in my area open at 6am. This is great for getting a jump on the sale items while they are in stock and avoiding crowds. Imagine my dismay when out of the three 48oz. "Starbucks" flavors they had only one (luckily me preferred one) but they only had two bottles. I asked about this since it was an advertised item and received one of many very different excuses I was to hear that day. I traveled to six different Weis stores and each had only two bottles each. The first store offered a rain check, the second said if I were to pre-order through customer service a week before they could have it for the next sale and the two other stores blamed both corporate for under ordering and the distributor for not providing. It all seems a little to coincidental to me. I've been had by bait and switch advertising before and this reeked of it. Oh... what did the final store tell me for its excuse... We're sold out you should have been here earlier if you really wanted it. Sold out on the first day within a couple of hours for iced coffee. Do you buy it? I sure didn't.
work place bullying
So I work for the Weis markets in state college pa and I have been their for over a year and needless to say their is work place bullying going on. I have had my hours cut and given to someone that hasn't work their in months. I also was accused of calling one of my co workers a ### which I never did. I am a college student and I had to change my schedule cause of my school schedule and the manager of my department said my schedule was too confusing. Seriously I was also told that I can't transfer out of the department I work in cause of my attitude. I wouldn't have a attitude if I wasn't bullied by the store manager and the manager of my department. Also when I was sick for a month in October due to kidney issues I had to come to work even though the medicine the doctor put me on made me sick, and to come to find out that the manager of my department and the assistant manager of my department were talking about me to other co worker. I work in the deli. Every time I work into work I have a panic attack and I am on medicine for my anxiety and panic disorder. What can be done cause I can't afford to quit my job. Please help

complaints on managers
the Carbondale weis is just ridiculous and something needs to be done. The managers don't treat their employees right at all and I for one have noticed it. the managers talk about the customers in bad ways and they call customers names. its getting out of hand. the cashiers are amazing and they do the best they can but its hard for them when there isn't enough cashiers on duty cause those managers don't care if there are call offs, they just tell them to do it. I saw a Gentleman customer in the store not too long ago and there wasn't enough cashiers, there was only two young girl cashiers so there was long lines and the customer asked for the manager and told him to do something about it and those managers never did anything. another customer called corporate on a manager named carmine because he called the customer a ### and carmine doesn't terminate anyone who doesn't do their jobs like a couple grocery boys except a nice gentleman employee named mike. Kim is another manager who talks down to customers and employees. They don't care about that store or the customers or the employees and should lose there jobs.

I went to check out the clams. They only had 2 prices set one was for Mussels and the other I think was for Little Necks. The guy behind the counter was loud and boisterous and stated all the prices were marked for clams. He rattled on 5 different types but only the mussels and Little necks I think was marked for over $10.00
which is cheap. I was going to buy but my wife pointed out that he was a smart aleck I will buy them at Garrity's they are more cordial. Sometimes I 'am hard of hearing I guess my job caused the hearing loss. I 'am 68 years of age and do not need he hassle specially from such a clam expert. By the way he should have noticed the come of the clams in bags were open and that means they are probably no good.
abuse of employees
I would like to know how Weis can treat their employees and get away with it. I know someone who worked at Weis for 15 yrs. a very very dedicated and honest employee. I had worked in Human Resources for years at another company and when I hear what happen to one of the assisted mangers at your Selinsgrove office I could not believe your company can do things like this and get away with it.
The store had halloween candy marked down to 59 cents a bag to close it out but also the bag had a manufacturer coupon for a 75 cent off one bag of this candy. She had contact the office this and wanted to know if it was correct. They never got back to her and in the mean time the candy was being bought by customers and some employees. Matter of fact since they did not got get back to her, she decided to buy a bag of candy for her son. The sale was put through the register.
This past Friday they had called her into to the office and hire her and all the employees who purchased this candy and said it was theft they stole from the store. Commom sense would tell you this is not stealing.
I would like to know I always shopped at Weis and if I would of taken a bag or two to the register and they rang it up would Weis come after me also saying I stole this candy?
I was a Gold member with Weis put I will no longer shop at any Weis if you can treat your employees so poorly it shows me you think less of your customers.
You may contact me if you have any further questions you would like to ask me.

card skimmer on debit machine
My wife and I have both been the victims of debit card skimmers and we're pretty sure that this store is the culprit. We both reviewed our transactions that occurred before the theft and this is the only overlap. My suspicion is that one of the employees is attaching the device to the ATM scanner. The scanner captures the Debit Card number and Pin Number. A few weeks later, starting on Friday evening and occurring in a large urban area (for me the Bronx, for my wife Philly), the thieves will begin withdrawing your money 500 dollars at a time until your account is depleted. I'd be very interested in hearing if anybody else who shops here has been the victim of one of these scams.
expired food
i got expired fried chicken and fries the chicken was very hard. i got it at 5:13pm and the chicken expired at 3:45pm and the fries exp at 4:30pm. i drove to the store and talk to the leader of the store because manager didn't show up to the customer counter and i ask for my money back which they did and then I said I would like some fresh chicken with a...

Weis Markets, Inc. announced a capital budget of $102.8 million in 2010, a 27% increase over last year. Weis Markets records 5.2% profit rise in Quarter 1. Sunbury, Pa. (April 13, 2010) Weis Markets reported Tuesday that the grocer recorded an increase in net earnings of 5.2%, from $16.5 million a year earlier to $17.4 million. For the quarter ended March 27, the company's sales increased 9.6% to $664.3 million, compared with $606.2 million for the same period in 2009. They cut payroll in half even though sales increased. That is their secret to success killing the poor people who are left. Horrible people!
At Weis Market I wasn't a boss, just an associate, but I covered for my boss Phil Feeser who's the Dairy Leader whenever he went on vacation or out on personal leave. When I first accepted this responsibility, I was approved overtime because the department was down 40 hours of its most productive employee. Phil is our most experience person in the Dairy Department; he has been with the company for over 40 years. When he is out, we are down our best person to handle freight and to order specials. It's a tremendous loss to the Dairy Department, but with a little overtime and a lot hard work I could still do an excellent job. But as time passed, the Store Manager (Matt Mumma) would schedule me less and less overtime. I went from 8 hours to none. So as you can see this really adds to the stress level. One time when my boss was on vacation, we had a show in our store where vendors come in to see how we want products displayed. Also in the same week, the President of the company visited. That was stressful because everything has to be perfect and accomplished with no overtime. I lost over 9 lbs. that week; what a great diet program. No other department heads, but Phil was allowed to take off. The next week when Phil returned, the Store Manager (Matt Mumma) approved 14 hours of overtime for Phil when we where fully staffed. That is unacceptable behavior from the Store Manager. Do you think he may have something against me? The facts say yes! No other department head but the Dairy was allowed to take off that week. No other associate had my responsibility.
The week of Easter everyone but one person, a part time employee was out. My boss Phil was in the hospital getting stint put in his heart. Our best part time employee (Brian) was burned in a fire (he's a voluntary fireman) and out indefinitely. My night person Brandon was on vacation until Wednesday. So you can see I was in dire need of manpower in a very busy holiday week. I worked alone except for one elderly man (Charles) who came in from 8 am to 1 pm and he only works the yogurt section on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays which is just one small section of the Dairy. On Saturday evening I spoke with Brandon, he told me to hang in there until Wednesday and he would be back to help me. When Brandon came back, the Store Manager (Matt Mumma) put him in the Produce Department instead of helping me in Dairy. I was livid. What kind of Store Manger would but personal in a fully staffed department over a department which was down there Dairy Leader and best people?
I was worked so hard I started to developed chest pains. The night before I quit the chest pains where so bad it woke me up at 4 am in the morning. I knew at that point that I had to make a decision. Knowing that I didn't have any real good help (Dairy Trained Personnel), I had decided not to go to work and risk a heart attack and/or stroke. I chose health over financial security. I said to my self "I will have other jobs but I have only one life."
I have recently applied for unemployment benefits and was rejected for section of the law 8-1001 basically stating that I left work voluntarily without good cause. I told them Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (DLLR) that I was so over worked due to lack of staffing that I started to have horrible chest pains. I was told by the DLLR because I didn't follow up with this (whatever that means I can only assume that they think I should have gone to a doctor) but yet, I can't afford health benefits of any kind. How can you expect someone without income to go and get treatment? I'm unemployed I can't afford medical treatment and I haven't received a penny since the beginning of April. After receiving a few letters from the DLLR, they change their dismissal to Gross Misconduct. Believe me all I did was walk out after being worked so hard to physical failure.
And this wasn't the first episode with Weis Market:
I had Jury Duty for a week and they didn't pay me for my time in court, regardless of what the employee handbook said. Not only did they not pay me, they deducted my court pay 30 dollars from my check and I walked out. Rent was due and I had a paycheck for less than a hundred dollars. After a week, they finally said if I come back they would correct the problem. They did pay me for my time in court, but I still lost a week worth of wages because I walked out. They never would have paid me if I didn't walk out.
Once I was accused of stealing. One day when I was leaving work, I was stopped by security. I already had clocked out for the day, but somehow they thought they could detain me for search. The search was done in front of the store where all customers and employees could witness this degradation. After searching all my compartments in my backpack they found nothing. I was furious. I asked the security guard if she was F***ing done. Three or four days later, they took me to a back room to write me up for dropping the F-Bomb. I said I done nothing wrong and I walked out again. I only came back to work after they dropped the accusation and disciplinary actions. Again, I loss a weeks worth of wages.
How can Companies get away with this? I was born and raised here in Hagerstown, Maryland. These people use intimidation and fear to abuse their employees. The Store Manager (Matt Mumma) where I left has told other department heads that if you don't like it here, I have at least 15 other applicants to replace you. Weis Market is taking advantage of the poor economy and no one cares at all - but me. I can think of at least 10 people who where treated like this. They were either worked to death, accused of steeling or had their hours reduce so much it wasn't even worth the cab fare to go to work. If I had the money I would help these poor people by bring a class action suit against Weis Market. It's time to level the playing field. I had to make stand against these horrible people I just hope you will to.
If you don't want this to happen to someone in your family or you think this mistreatment of employees is unacceptable, then go to the link below and tell them you are not shopping at Weis Market until they start treating their people better.
I love you
Management is inept, pay is bad, produce is bad, some products are labeled organic even when they aren’t. I’ve found bugs in my Mac and cheese once as well. Whenever I purchase produce, it’s always rotten or weird on the inside
I order my prescription renewals by phone. I have a number of prescriptions which costs thousands of dollars each year.
I simply used to call in and give my prescription numbers but you changed that to a very annoying system. If it continues, I will need to change pharmacies.
I have been purchasing candy slices in the small size for $1.00 for years.
I go in today to purchase the same item and it is now $2.50.
Are you nuts?!
What do you not understand. You raised the price from $1 to $2.50!
I didn't get my groceries which are already paid for groceries. I can't talk so I can't use the phone.
Can you please make it easier for using the app with adding the coupons. It takes way to long to add the coupons to the card. Giant makes it way easier by just clicking the + not having to open each item.
I worked at weis a year and never received my last check I was told it would be mailed out to me and when it was the checked was out dated so I couldn't cash it
I purchased a box of k cups tried using them but they keep exploding in machine. I used other brands and this brand before and have no problem. Lot number is ss2191281913601 I am really upset so far out of this box only 6 worked wasted money on these. I really like to keep buying your product but little Leary about it what if this happens again.
