Weis Markets Store 180 management

Very unfair management. You have an employee who is a first cousin with the store manager and the employee is also best friends with the front end management so much so that she babysits for her. They are cutting hours unfairly. They can't stop hiring and then tell us because they have too employees and people have to go home when they are scheduled to work. The loyal employees that have been with the company for a bit have been drastically cut hours. They have best friends in clicks working in ishop department. An employee in ishop is allowed to come and go as she pleases. She would be scheduled 7 to 330 and stay until 5 because her boyfriend works in meat department And she hangs with him after work. when she isn't Scheduled for it. I want to stress how unfair and unprofessional the store manager and front end manager at store 180 is. I am sure you will hear from employees in the same position. Management is treating employees that are treating people who are just hired better than employees that have with them through a lot. I have been with the company for 6 years. I only called out when my father is in the hospital. I know nothing will get done but I needed to vent. I am very anger and hurt. I can believe that weis would let management at 180 treat there employees this bad.

I worked for Weis for 15 years and also was a department manager for store 180! I hated it at Weis and no exactly what you are talking about. It’s not just 180 but it’s the entire company that has very poor leadership.

It’s who you know and not how hard you work at Weis that gets you noticed.

Also Brandy the Front End manager sucks! She should not be a manager period! All she does is talk behind employees and walks around with balloons lol. Your best option is to quit and never look back. You deserve better then that [censored] hole

A few days ago I was shopping at weis, as I do every other day because I live so close, so its an easy trip.in self scan I heard one of the employees call me and my friend barn animals and continue to taunt and laugh at us. This afternoon, today, I recieved a direct message on instagram from the same employee who was harassing me in store the other day...

Weis Markets flowers

I was sold flowers with mold growing in them. Absolutely disappointed. I go to Weis probably 6/7 days a week. My go to store for all my needs and when I decide to get flowers and there is clear mold growing on them I'm very disappointed and when I ask the cashier about it they told me it's not a big deal that it wouldn't hurt me. I feel very disrespected

Weis Markets not informed of store closing

I arrived around 1130 to shop quick for the next morning. I had a direct interaction with an employee at the deli/cafe area, and also passes multiple other employees while shopping throughout the other aisles. At not point did anyone tell me the store would be closing. At exactly 12:00am I was told the store was closed and I could not pay for my groceries. It was very embarrassing and time wasteful trip for me. I am very disappointed in the lack of communication and the fact that they would not ring me out at 12:00am.

Weis Markets water

Weis Market employees should be allowed to have water in closed containers at their work station.
As long as it does not interfere with work production there is no reason water should be prohibited.
Having to wait 2-3 hours or longer for a break to have a drink of water seems unfair to employees especially when management is able to have water at any time and at their work stations.

Weis Markets check out

This is NOT a complaint. I would like to recognize the outstanding service of an employee, Tanya, of your Joppa Rd store in 21236. I have had her handle my check out numerous times and today she was involved in training someone learning the check out procedures. Today she was assisting a lady in front of me who had forgotten her Weis card and her credit card. Her attitude and actions were most helpful in resolving the situation in a most pleasant and professional manner. This is not the first time I have witnessed her dealing with people in away that compliments the shopping experience.

Please forward my email to the appropriate person so her efforts can be recognized.

Thank you.

John Offerman, 3403 Parkfalls Drive, Nottingham, Md.

Weis Markets management

Weis located in West Lawn, PA has recently had a change in management. The new manager forbids employee s from drinking water or any beverage while on the clock. Workers have to go a whole shift without being able to have drink water. When asked about this, the manager said "a person can survive three days without water". I'm pretty sure that this is illegal and is a form of abuse. How can a person force their employees to not drink anything all day?

Weis Markets lice/bedbugs

A co worker is bringing lice and bedbugs to work and now I brought it home and my family has it and we are very upset...been going on now for 4 months or longer and nothing done with this person, she even admitted to having bedbugs (Her Name is Mary)... WHY? now I'm invested with this and costing me money to get rid of and I'm not the only one that took this home with them...Why is she still there, she's disgusting, she has bites all over her and u can see it and she is very dirty...Next step is Health Department since nothing is being done...very pissed...
She works at Store #128 in Hampstead, Md.
The computer room upstairs (where she works) is invested with bedbugs and lice...
We all have to share this room and that's why we took this crap home with us.

Knowing my child is still young and I have been there since it was shurfine. So what makes me not be able to do something besides self checkout and I have ran register before. They dont let people do anything else that has been there for a while. Makes u think only if you knew what the managers do. O I can tell you nothing besides sitting in their offices and do nothing.

Weis Markets management

I am a former employee and I have decided to terminate my employment because I have had difficulty working under certain conditions regarding our store production, lack of management ethics, and for discrimination/ prejudice acts from management.
I have experienced some prejudice remarks from Trace, the store manager. He has approached me serveral times about different concerns of his as a manger. Though it is his duty to insure he is running a smooth operation, it is not his duty to speak to myself and other people with such anamosity, rudeness and disrespect. His approach is very unprofessional and inconsiderate. My experience from working with previous managers within this company, I expect for there to be a difference in personality. However, as a manager I do understand there should be effort put in the know your employees and understand they have lives outside of work. With that being said, I have worked hard to get in the position I have obtained as an assistant Deli Manager and like others I too struggle with life outside of work. I have not been the one to let my problems effect my ethics but when coming to work to an environment where there is lack of appreciation, it made it much easier to walk away. I have worked for the company for a long time in my opinion and have obtained many skills. My manager consistently chastised me about how I wasn't doing my job right or blamed lack of the production in my department solely on me. All the while I am not getting compensated for all the skills I have aquired in this job but have to complete certain task( delegate &assist in deli, cake decorating, salad bar, cashier etc.) to obtain great production. Not once has Trace pulled me to the back office to speak to me one on one about anything regarding store production, my work behavior, or my personal life. The time since I've been gone after I have resigned, he has not contacted me to check on me or even ask what can be done to help make things better or different. But when there were moments I had to call out for being ill or I had emergencies, he made it his business to get in contact with me knowingly of my emergencies. The last time I was out, I have asked Trace and other management to put the remainder of my time in because I was out for so long, no one abided by my request. I have a family to take care of and I have not receive the means to do so on my last few paychecks due to them not ensuring I had my proper time/hours and money. I would like to be compensated for the mental instability these situations has took me through over these last 4-6 months and for the lack of compensation for every job title I edhered but did not get credited for.

Weis Markets cashier/horrible customer service

I was at the Millersburg Pa Weis Markets and every time I go in Allison's check out she is incredibly rude, rushy, she loses my coupons, complains cause she said she wants a break and someone called off then was complaining about the store manager Cindy. She was grumpy she was very snippy with me when I was using my credit card she said hurry up now she had people waiting in line.
Not sure why they have her on register she is very grumpy and has horrible customer service. You will lose business with her treating customers so badly.
She also said now I need to come around and made a sigh because I had water on bottom of my cart she acts like her customers are a bother
I might start going to Giant if I keep being treated so badly! I feel its unfair I pay good money in your store and then I'm treated so bad.

Store #218 on several occasions that I have been in this store and have witness myself the store being busy and not enough help up front checking out. I was in this store for over an hour and witness 4 employees with in this hour of my shopping go outside at least 3 times in 1 hour how is that fair to others in store working to check out the customers and get only 1 break but these others get to go out when ever is not fair for all. Especially customers. They should have been helping the front end cashiers

Weis Markets deli area

I visit your location in Conshohocken Pa on Ridge Pike, on 11/27/2017. I was in your deli department getting some lunch meat when I witness one of your employees get another employee some either "chicken or tuna" salad. A big hunk of it fell on the inside part of the case that was dirty and she picked it up with her hands and put it back in the bowl with the rest. I said something to my daughter who told me not to say anything, but I didn't think it was right for the next person to come along and eat it, so I said something to the lady that she was working with when she handed me my order and then I left. While I was getting in line to check out, your employee name Patty came up to me screaming and asking me did I say that she dropped salad and put it back in the bowl of already made salad and I told her yes, I did tell her co-worker what she did because it was very nasty. I then asked her what was her name because the way she confronted me was very unprofessional and that I worked at the Children Hospital of Philadelphia and being a professional working with public this is not how you act. She then started saying that I was a liar and if I didn't have it on camera then it was nothing that I can prove and covered her name tag so that I couldn't see her name, I then told her that I didn't appreciate the way she was talking to me and I was going to go to the manager of the store and she followed me saying I was a liar. She open the office door to where the manager was sitting and he told us he was on the phone and to wait a minute, I started telling him everything that happen and told him that the way she confronted me in the front of all of your customers screaming the way she was very unprofessional and he then asked her did she leave the deli area to come confront me and she stated yes she did; he then told her that she was wrong for leaving the deli area to go and confront a customer. She then said that I should have said something to her instead of the person she was working with. The reason why I didn't say anything to her because she had just told her co-worker that she was starting to get on her nerve so to keep down any problems I said something to her co-worker instead of her, cause if she was nasty to the person she worked with she would be the same way with me as well and she was. The manager Brian said that her name was Patty and I informed him that I was going to file a complaint against her for what she did. I am loyal customer of Weis and shop at this store faithfully, I never ever experience nothing like this because all of your employees are very nice. I will never buy none of ya'll already made salads in the deli area because of what happened, this incident would make me think twice about ever shopping at your market ever again. And what make matters worse the manager didn't do anything about it.

The manager most likely reprimanded the employee after you left. For privacy purposes, it is not something that can be done in front of a random person.

Weis Markets rain check and still being overcharged.

I gave a raincheck to cashier and price was for $2.49 When you buy six. Being it was my first time ever using a raincheck I wasn't sure how they worked. It wasn't until I relooked at raincheck and receipt. I was charged $4.00 ×6 =24.00 . It's seems as though it's a constant problem every time I shop there in Dallas, Pa store always. Sale items never available, fruit gets moldy in two days. It's a 20 minute drive just to come there every week to not be able to buy what I drive there for.

Weis Markets photo cake

The displays of Photo Cakes are beautiful. I brought a photo in for my son in laws 40th bday. I picked it up today at 3pm (Nov. 11, 2017). The box did not have a viewing window so I didn't look at the cake until I got home. The photo image of the face on the cake is GREEN. The photo I submitted is a natural face..NOT GREEN. I have attached a picture of the cake. It was $28! The party is tomorrow or I would have sent it back to be redone. I am embarrassed of this cake that was supposed to be funny and sit in the middle of the table.
A full refund or a Weis store credit is totally appropriate.
I am usually very pleased with the bakery in my local Weis store in Pennsburg PA. This cake should never have been given to me.

Weis Markets cashier /customer service (rudeness)

I was at your store Weis Markets in Laurel Md. All Saints Road Store # 122
on Sunday October 1, 2017 around 7:00-8:00 pm and I was treated with such rudeness by one of the cashiers on Register # 11.

This cashier was behind the register, and refused to check me out for service. I asked was she opened and she stated no, to go to the registers that had lights on, as she continued to be on her cell phone, sitting on top of the back of the register lane. While waiting in line on register # 9, the cashier from #11 took a customer and checked him out, with her light still off. Right after I had asked her was she open. When she finished waiting on the customer, she continued to carry on a long conversation with that person, still not checking anyone else out.

I found this to be really rude and inappropriate for a cashier not to take customers, when the store was really (extremely) busy. The lines for the cashiers were really long. Why was she there and not working when others were clearly doing their best to make customers happy.

I do not know the cashiers name because of course she turned me away. But this type of non-service was just rude and to me is an real issue for Weis.

Weis needs to hire people who will be team players and respect the customers.

Thank you

Janet Johnson

Weis Markets bakery dept

I use weis markets in mt top all the time for my kids birthday cakes/cupcakes & never had a problem. Until this last time. I ordered cupcakes for my sons birthday party a WEEK prior to his party & told them I'd be there around 10 to pick them up. When I arrived at 10:15 the morning of the party, they weren't ready. The bakery manager said she didn't know how to decorate them because she didn't understand what the other worker had written. I ended up waiting almost 45 minutes for her to "fix" the problem, which resulted in a cupcake cake with WAY too much icing instead of regular cupcakes. She didn't give me a discount but gave me two free packs of old cookies. We were almost late to my sons party because of this. I also wanted two balloons blown up, what a fiasco that was! Long story short, I waited 45 minutes for 1 balloon to be blown up. The associate popped 2 balloons trying to blow them up. I told him after he finally blew one up successfully to forget it. I couldn't wait any longer. I always deal with Beth in bakery who is fabulous, but everyone else, not so much.

Weis Markets inappropriate and discourteous treatment

I was very unhappy with my experience picking up my online order at
Lewisburg, PA Weis on Monday July 10, 2017 . I have used this service for over a year at various local Weis stores and until now had no issues. I have been a loyal Weis customer.
This time I was treated in an unusual and I feel an inappropriate way, which baffles me.
First I was told to bring my car to the front of the store instead of the usual pick-up ports at the side of the store. When I asked why I had to come to the front of the store, I was told by the clerk (a short, middle-aged obese woman with dark hair) something like "you can never tell when it is going to rain".
Yet it was only partly cloudy, and the last time I picked up my groceries there, it was raining and I was not told to go to the front of the store. Also, if her reason were true, then every time it was cloudy all online customers would have to come to the front of the store, which obviously does not happen. So what then was the actual reason?
When I was handed the groceries, the large, young muscular male helper
seemed like he did not want to let go of the bags, , and I almost had to
pull them from him. It was almost like he was trying to slow me down.

Then, when asked where to sign the receipt, I was told by the female clerk flippantly "right here, honey". Hardly the way to address a customer who just bought over $300 worth of groceries at the store.

I cannot explain why I was treated differently from the many other times
I used the online order pick-up service. My sense was that I was profiled in some way, but I did nothing different nor looked different from all previous visits.

Because of this bad experience I will not be shopping at Lewisburg Weis again. If a loyal customer who spends hundreds of dollars is treated in a strange and discourteous way for no valid reason, then this is not a store I care to patronize.
