This company is the worst ever, my first claim got denied today by a rude and unprofessional agent who accused us of lying about the water damage timeframe. We just found out about it two days ago but this company won't cover it, now we have to fix it ourselves. They're frauds and we feel completely robbed, go elsewhere if you want real insurance coverage. Zero stars for them.

This insurnce company aint good at all! They stealin from ya in broad daylight. I been with em for over 10 years and they was happy to take my money. But then when there was a leak, they tryna say it was my fault. But really it was a pipe leak inna wall. Then they told me to put a sensor in. We did what they said and then they send a letter sayin they wont insure us no more. This company is trash. Dont give them your money cuz they dont care bout you. As soon as you need help they dont wanna help. Watch out for this bogus excuse for a company.

I been with Western Mutual Insurance Group since 2015. In dat time I had two small water damage claims and dey didn't have to pay out except for da company dat came out da first time and left fans. The second time was when my main line outside broke and it caused some back flow in da one bathroom. I cleaned it up, and dey came out but no other payout was done. Da main line wasn't covered, but dat was expected. Now dey're threatening to cancel my coverage over these minor claims. I have paid thousands in insurance premiums for only two small claims. What kind of business sense is dat? I'm getting quotes from other insurance companies now and deir premiums are much cheaper with better coverage. I hope to be moving on by the end of da month. Maybe Western Mutual should reconsider deir business practices and not scare away customers from using da coverage we pay for, especially when da issues ended up being minor.

We had a flood in our house in January that came from the bathroom and went throughout our two-story home. Both floors were affected, INCLUDING the two bathrooms and kitchen, making our place unlivable. We didn't agree with Western Mutual's payout for repairs, so in April, we opted to go through the public appraisal process. On April 30, WM closed the claim and refused to pay for our additional living expenses. We are a family of 5. We have moved 7 times since this happened and paid $30k+ for our expenses, which WM won't reimburse us for or pay for any more ALE. They said we shouldn't have left our home in the first place, but how is that ok or even legal? On top of that, two public appraisers agreed on a negotiated amount on September 2nd, but we still haven't received the check. Look at the pictures and scopes. Our home is still unlivable. WM, don't reply like you always do, pretending you're not to blame. Unless there's a check in my mailbox, I don't need or want a reply. Thanks.

These guys at Western Mutual are all about your money and don't seem to care about you once they've got it! I've been with them for more than 5 years and never had to file a claim or anything. So I buy another place and rent the old one out - just trying to do things right and get a landlord policy. So I give them a ring for a quote and they say I won't get it unless I have both homes with them. I try to call them to follow up, but no one's there. Then a few days go by and I get not one, but TWO "sorry, not sorry" letters in the mail saying they're canceling my policy because my place is tenant-occupied. No warning, no help, nothing! Seems like they don't wanna offer landlord insurance unless you're all-in with them. If that's the way they do things, why don't they just say so on their site? I want some of my money back, but we'll see how that goes.

I had so many issues with this firm. We can't wait to move to another company. My father-in-law had a tough time as his wife passed recently. He had a leakage in the bathroom which led to water seeping under tiles, causing harm to drywall. He's without drywall for 6 weeks. There's no privacy, just one toilet and shower for 8 people. Matthew S is not doing anything to help us. He has refused the Asbestos examination and is not looking into the request for emergency services. He rejected our claim despite two companies' reports, which included images of both bathrooms. He's not even looking at our claim reports. There's no communication, and customer service is terrible. We've been left with one shower for six weeks, but they're not helping us in any way. They didn't even suggest another place for us to stay during this period. It's frustrating, and we can't wait for it all to be over. My father-in-law paid his bills timely, but they still didn't help him. This insurance company should be ashamed of itself.

Don't use Western Mutual Insurance Group. My family signed up with them when we bought our house about 5 years ago and we never bothered to shop around. Recently, we had to make a claim for roof damage and that's when the nightmare began. The quote for the repairs was incomplete, so we had to hire a licensed contractor, which we did. We called the Western Mutual rep assigned to our claim and were told to do the repairs first, send the invoice and pictures later. We did that, but the rep was on vacation and when she returned, she ignored our calls and emails. When she finally talked to us, she claimed not to have spoken to our contractor and said the claim was too old to pay. We had proof of the emails and calls, but she blamed our computer. We had to keep calling and checking with any rep to make sure she received everything. She then said we should have sent the repairs to her first, even though we talked to her. The claim started in May , but the estimate was lowball and didn't arrive until June . Then they threatened not to renew our policy if we didn't send receipts from our contractor, even though they'd paid only a fraction of the cost. They shorted us $5,943.18 out of $10,500. We're leaving Western Mutual because they're a terrible company.

I wanna say sumthin' 'bout Western Mutual Insurance Group. So lemme tell ya, their advertising is a sham! They go on their site, https://www.westernmutual.com/homeowners, and tell ya you can get a discount for a water-leak detector. But I got one, spent three hundred bucks, and called 'em three times to get the discount. And every time, they said they didn't offer it. What the heck? They totally lied. And that ain't even half of it. They're renewing my policy, but they're makin' me over-insure my home and pay for stuff I don't need. Their paper says that coverage is up to me, but then they won't let me lower it. It's all a big scam.

I said nah to health stuff, but it's got some health problems. Got a big flood in my kitchen, and now I gotta remodel the whole thing. They took out all my furniture for painting and stuff, and now there's dust and noise all day. Me and my kid both work from home, and it's a mess trying to get things done. But my insurance don't wanna pay for a hotel while the remodeling is going on. They say we can still live here since we got bedrooms and bathrooms. But it's a mess trying to get through all the construction to get to the bathroom. I asked for the boss's name, but they ain't giving it to me. At least I got covered for loss of usage.

I had fire trouble and lost all my personal goods on 09/05. I gave Western Mutual Insurance Group a bunch of things about what I lost such as 231 item inventory list with ages and prices to replace stuff. I also sent photos to show what things were mine before the fire. Then our family showed what stuff was getting broke before and during they threw it away. We even did interviews to talk about it, and showed tons of furniture receipts. We gave 2 checking accounts bank statements from the last 5 years that had info on what we bought from all kinds of stores. They also came and looked at the damage, too. I think their people looked into it and had no more problems. Me and my husband who is no longer alive spent our whole lives buying all those things. It is not right that they did not give a *** for the real claim. They are being bad because they don't want to pay. Now they want me to match the things on the list with what I guarded on the super long 120 pages of bank statements. It is not fair to ask me to recall what I bought years ago.

Ive bin a customer for Westren Mutual since i bought my home Nov. 2017. I filed my first klaim with them cos theres a mold in my house. They sent me 4 companies to check it out. 3 out of the 4 said the problem was my unit but after they fixed it it didnt work and my home was still really humid. But Western Mutual didnt approve my klaim cos they didnt find a root cause. I think they sent liars to my house to tell me one thing but report another. My family has allergies and asthma and im tired of waiting for Western Mutual to fix it. Ive had to taek care of it my self and lower humidity by 10. But until its lower than 50% we will still haf to breath in mold spores. They are sending out a 5th expert now which seems fishy to me. I recommend not going with Western Mutual and finding someone else. I am searching for a new insurance myself.

However, my friend's family already had someone check it out the day before, so I told the adjuster I didn't need his people. Later, he called me when I was out and told me he still wanted to send his plumber and restorative service. He badmouthed the company I used instead and said they were expensive. He also talked rudely to my daughter, son-in-law, and me. I didn't like how he treated me, so I don't want to use this insurance company anymore.
