Sent to the President CEO of Western Union and not even an acknowledgment. The following is self-explanatory.
Dear Mr McGrantham
I am appealing for your help, or could you kindly forward my problem to someone who could help me concerning my suspicion of Fraudulent activity with regard to a remittance I made on the 1st of November and still not received by the recipient?
Although I appreciate you do not normally deal with complaints of fraud occurring in the UK, I am exhausted from trying to get anyone there to give me my money back.
The story is that using Western Union I transferred £1000.00 from my HSBC Account in the UK to my HSBC account in the Philippines on the 1st of November 2023. Expecting it to be there a couple of days later, it is now 12 days and nothing has arrived. I have been told so many conflicting stories that I am concerned my money is the subject of fraud or why is it so difficult to get some idea when I can have my money back.
My own perseverance has revealed your clearing bank in the Philippines (Landbank) cannot find a record of your remittance but being an ex-IT consultant I find this very difficult to believe. Apart from 10 emails, and countless phone calls I still have no idea when I will get my money back. When discussing with one of your staff (Troy) he could no detail. When I asked to speak to his supervisor he said nobody was available, but when I insisted, suddenly Bianca was just available saying she was the Supervisor. She could not give any additional assistance so I asked to speak to her Manager, only to be told I could only have a call back. Exactly the same happened, your manager (Christine) was just as non helpful making me suspicious if I was being given the run-around. Are you aware that any rank over the manager grade are not available, EVER, to talk to customers,
Now I am at an impasse, why should your customers wait so long for a refund and why are your staff so ill-informed about the remittance processes? I am told the money was sent on the 1st Nov then followed up on the 7th 8th and 9th November but what happens now. If Western Union has a problem with Landbank why do I have to suffer.
Please can someone help me? I am exhausted. I have attached
A.E Fink
