Disappointing Experience with Wild West Boot Store: Inaccurate Sizing and Poor Customer Service
I recently had an experience with Wild West Boot Store (wildwestbootstore.com) and I must say, I was quite disappointed. The sizes of the boots I ordered were way off and unfortunately, it seems like it's not their problem. When I went to the store to try on the same brand and style of boots that I had ordered from them, I found that the sizes were completely different. It's frustrating because now I'm expected to pay for the shipping once again just because the size was wrong.
I understand that sometimes mistakes happen, but it's important for a company to take responsibility for their products. It's not fair for the customer to have to pay for something that wasn't their fault. I wish that Wild West Boot Store would have been more understanding and willing to work with me to find a solution.
Overall, I would say that my experience with Wild West Boot Store was not a positive one. I hope that they can improve their sizing accuracy and customer service in the future.
Great Customer Service and Unbeatable Prices at Wild West Boot Store!
I had a bit of a problem with one of the workers at Wild West Boot Store when I tried to get my money back for an online order. But when the boss saw my email, he called me up and fixed everything. The ladies at the Conway store were really sweet and helped me pick out some new boots, hey dudes, and a new saddle. And let me tell you, the saddle prices were unbeatable! I looked all over the west and couldn't find anything better.
Exceptional Customer Service at Wild West Boot Store: A Review
I gotta tell ya, I was blown away by the customer service at Wild West Boot Store. Like, seriously, it was better than I ever could've imagined. I'm definitely gonna be buying all my future boot needs from them, no doubt about it.
So get this, there was this young lady named Che who helped me out and she was just so dang knowledgeable. She knew everything there was to know about boots and even came up with some other suggestions for me. And get this, I ended up buying the boots she recommended instead of the ones I originally had my eye on! That's how good she was.
Honestly, Che is a real gem and I hope the folks at Wild West Boot Store know how lucky they are to have her. She's a wonderful representative for their company and I can't recommend her enough.
So if you're in the market for some new boots, do yourself a favor and check out Wild West Boot Store. And if you're lucky enough to get Che as your helper, well, you're in for a real treat. Trust me on this one.
Wild West Boot Store: Missing Dudes and Poor Customer Service
I recently made a purchase from Wild West Boot Store for a pair of boots and dudes. However, when I received my package, I only found the boots inside. I was surprised and disappointed that the dudes were missing. The package was not big enough to fit another box inside, but the "manager" Andrew is arguing with me, saying that he watched them repackage an alike package with his own eyes and it is. They're trying to blame me for not receiving what I ordered, saying I, "deselected the package protection plan." But yet, when I go to their website right now via mobile phone and add another pair to my cart, there is NO option to select that package. He said he was aware and they're working on it but tried to say it has only been unavailable since yesterday and would have been available the day I purchased my order. Sounds like a rip off to me!
I tried contacting them via email first as they request in the order confirmation email and no one helped that was either. I had even attached a picture of the package showing another box would not fit, but they tried telling me they viewed it with their "own eyes" again and it does appear that it will fit another package. You can't tell me it will fit another box of shoes with only 3" remaining. Hey Dudes boxes are approx 5" in width, not including the height. They're trying to make it seem like someone, or possibly myself, has stolen said shoes but that did NOT happen. I live out in the country of West Virginia. We do not have package thieves around here. Our closest neighbor is 82 and wears a much smaller size, definitely wasn't her. My husband was home when the package was delivered and brought them in right away. So you're saying I'm out $60?
I'm very disappointed in this business: Wild West Boot Store! Who doesn't stand behind their products and shipping when the package was not even tampered with? Any other place of business would be sure to make this right with me. It's frustrating that they're not taking responsibility for their mistake and trying to blame me instead. I don't appreciate being treated like a liar and a thief. I hope they can resolve this issue and make it right.
Buyer Beware: Dry Rotted Boots from Wild West Boot Store
I just got these boots from wildwestbootstore.com and let me tell you, I was not impressed. At first glance, they seemed like they would be cute, but upon closer inspection, I realized that they were old and dry rotted. The left boot had some wrinkling on the foot, and the right boot had some as well, but I thought I could overlook it. Boy, was I wrong! There was white dust and sand under the buckles and straps, and it was enough to make me sneeze. I had to clean them with warm soap and water and leather cleaner just to get the sand and white powder off.
But that's not even the worst part. Two days after receiving them, the foot region of the boots began to wrinkle, crumple in, and lose their shape. The foot just "caved in." I did some research and found out that this is a sign of dry rot. Apparently, if you can easily identify cracks, tears, or breaks in the leather, it may be dry rotting. Leather begins to shrink as it dry rots, pulling the fibers of the leather apart. After these fibers are broken, they cannot be repaired. If the leather feels hard or brittle to the touch, it may have begun dry rotting. And if you can see any powder after touching the leather, the item is likely very dry rotted. And that's exactly what happened with these boots. The white powder I found under the buckles and straps was a clear sign that they were dry rotted.
I was so disappointed with my purchase from wildwestbootstore.com. They should have been more careful about selling old and dry rotted boots as brand new. They even tried to use the excuse that these were a so-called "distressed" style of boots. But I've purchased distressed boots before, and they should have a distressed finish, but the boots' structure should not cave in, crumple, or be damaged at the foot or any other region of the boot.
If you're thinking about purchasing boots from wildwestbootstore.com, be careful. Watch out for signs of dry rot, such as cracking, wrinkling on the foot, or white powder/dust/sand on them. These might have been stored too long and might have dry rot. And if you do purchase boots from them and the foot region continues to wrinkle, crease, crumple, cave in, and lose their shape 1 to 2 days after purchase, return them. On an expensive pair of boots purchased brand new, the foot should hold its shape and not crumple and cave in.
I wish I had seen these warning signs before I made my purchase. These boots do not look like brand new boots. They look like they came from the thrift store! Save yourself a heartache and return them if they look like this. Check out the photos I took of the boots 2 days after I received them. You can clearly see the crumpling, caved-in look, and heavy creasing. Compare them to the pictures of the boots shown online brand new. Don't make the same mistake I did!
