Williams & Fudge put collection on my credit reports without my knowledge and in doing so, violated the FDCPA Collection Practice by placing a collection account on my credit report without sending a letter to me. I request verification of the following information. 1. Full original Account Number 2. Date original Account was opened 3. Written agreements between myself & the original creditor stating this debt is owed 4. Full account summary & itemized calculation of alleged debt 5. Date of the first delinquency 6. Dates and times of any phone calls made and to what number in attempt to contact me concerning the alleged debt before it was reported to an agency, and so proving that these calls were made in the times governed by FDCPA law. If unable to provide the above identifying account information, this account must be deleted from all CRAs. Company failed to follow FDCPA by not sending a letter giving me time to dispute or validate the alleged debt within the 30-day allowed by law.

I was made aware of a collections filed by Williams and Fudge on behalf of a certain agency. I called them to find out what it was for since I had never received any notification from Williams and Fudge. I tried to explain that this was a wrongful filing and that the account had been zeroed out and that the school had identified it was their error in April (now it's October). I was met with rudeness and contempt. I was told I just had to pay it and they may be able to take it off in a few days. When I refused and stated I simply needed them to accept my proof of the wrong filing, I was told to do my own due diligence. I did and received new verification that my file was pulled back from Williams and Fudge as well as that the account is in good standing and nothing was owed due to their mistake. Now Williams and Fudge will not remove this false filing.
Williams and Fudge intercepted a tax return of over $715 and it was not applied to my account balance. I allowed two billing cycles to occur and it was still not applied. I had called and asked about this and was told it was applied to my balance and then taken back off. They claim to not knowing why this occurred, was told they would look into this and figure out why the $715+ was taken off. This was a state tax return intercepted in August, it has been over a month and nobody has contacted me. I have just received an account statement and am going on a third billing cycle and the intercepted tax return still has not been applied to my account. I would like this applied to my account balance so this debt can be settled.
Communications scheduled an equipment pick up, placed it on hold and never picked up the equipment. They didn't notify me about turning over the account to collections. Williams and Fudge added a collections notification to my credit report without contacting me. I disputed the item in my credit report. I received written communication from Williams and Fudge today. I have forwarded to them the email I received from the communications company which indicates an appointment that was placed on hold. I want the collections notice removed from my credit report and I want the issue marked resolved because I don't owe the communications company.
This company is using unethical tactics to collect on debt
This company is using unethical tactics to collect on debt. I was told by a rep, "Once the virus is done. They are going to want their money." I received a call from a rep at Williams and Fudge at 8:29am on 5/4. I answered and told the rep that my situation was the same. I was unable to set up an arrangement due to my hours being cut. The proceeds to say "we've been calling you since June last year. I'll make note of what you said. Just be aware that one the virus is over, they are going to want to their money." I hung up the phone I'm shock that, that's how people are being spoken to in the middle of a pandemic. I called back at 8:43 and asked to speak to a supervisor. Her supervisor then states that, while she understands how I may feel, "they have been calling since June" basically justifying the behavior of her rep. Trying to excuse it. She said she would review the call but there was no offering of following up with me. Just an internal investigation and a note to my account.

The individual repeatedly calls my job rather than my personal phone. Then makes an insulting statement that since I work for the State why do the auto payments not clear my account. The individual lacks professionalism and customer service skills. As well as risks my job by contacting and harassing me at work.
The nature of this dispute is that the institution has charged me with tuition fees that I was not aware of and then proceeded to garnish my wages through a certain company. They have been garnishing my wages since April 2, 2022, and only disclosed the information on October 18, 2022, that they have been handling my case. I was informed that I had to take courses so that my financial aid would not lapse. After graduating, I was expecting to receive my transcripts and apply for them, only to be told that I cannot receive them because I owe $5000. Thank you.
Williams and Fudge claims to have an account with me from a former school. These claims are false and I do not have a financial obligation with this company! There is no contract between us and I have received no validation of this so called account or where it came from!

I have been contacted by this business with no information and an extremely rude employee asking me to pay $165 from a bill he says exists from 7 years ago. I asked multiple times for details of who they are collecting on behalf of and each time they need more personal information from me (ie my email, or current address). This is absolutely not appropriate to ask for someone over the phone and without having any form of communication in the last 7 years. They consistently are getting aggressive tones, and attitudes, and demanding more personal information without providing any legitimate information themselves. I had one employee tell me it was a parking ticket, then someone else tells me it was not and they are not sure what it was for. So I should pay you, for what exactly? then they tell me to contact one department of a school I attended 7 years ago, and that department confirmed I have ZERO BALANCE. I call back now they say "oh it's a different department. Absolutely scam material. inconsistent information and responses along with terrible attitudes.

On September 3 2022 I made a settlement payment with this company to take care of a collection account I was informed that I would have to wait until September 6 2022 to receive a proof of payment email. Since the transaction posted on my bank account I figured It wouldnt hurt to wait until Tuesday September 6 being that it is a holiday weekend. September 6 comes around and I receive no email. I call *** who is in charge of my account and he tells me he will send me an email with proof of payment . I explain to him I really need it so I can send it to the credit bureaus and they can show the the account its paid faster. I call him and he guarantees me an email he said hed send it immediately. 3 hours later no email. I call him again and he tells me sometimes and email Can take up to 3 hours to send is extremely rude over the phone and tells me I cant wait on phone 3 hours for you to get an email and he said I am going to hang up now and hung up. I dont understand how he expects me to sit on my hands and not get proof of my payment especially when the payment was over *** dollars.

I received a collection call at my place of work from Williams and Fudge *** 8/3/2022 at about 3pm, regarding a debt that I have no knowledge of, have never been called on my personal phone about, nor have received a letter regarding said debt. They do not have permission to call my place of business or contact anyone in association with me.
I was a student at a certain institution and fell ill with a significant illness, which led to me never returning. The collection agency handling my case is rude, hostile, and very aggressive. They harass me day and night for a debt, refusing to cooperate and instead pressuring me to disclose my bank account information. I no longer wish to receive their calls; I would prefer they only contact me through mail. Please assist me.
They failed to tell me that one of my loans was not included in the consolidation then transferred debt to another agency when I questioned them
They failed to tell me that one of my loans was not included in the consolidation then transferred debt to another agency when I questioned them. This company reached out to me about consolidating my loans. I agreed to what I thought was consolidating all of them. I didn't learn that one was left out until almost a year later. Right after I signed paperwork for the consolidation she stop contacting me. I kept requesting documents and she kept telling me that she would send them but I never received anything. She never told me one couldn't be included and when I questioned it and asked her manager my debt was transferred to another collection agency. I questioned her and her manager and both ignored me and responded once stating that she told me about it. I asked for the proof along with loan documents and they refused to give me anything. They just transferred it to another debt collector. Had I known about the loan, I could have been making payments to keep it in good standing. Here it is 3 years later and they have the debt again and they shouldn't have when I was given false information by them in the beginning.

Williams & Fudge repeatedly calls & threatens my son to pay for collection fees due to another party negligent in notifying me of a tuition fee
Williams & Fudge repeatedly calls & threatens my son to pay for collection fees due to another party negligent in notifying me of a tuition fee. This matter is about a *** tuition bill that dates back to the spring term, 2018 ... a bill that neither my son nor I ever received, not even when we visited your *** campus seven months after the course to request a credit transfer to ***, where my son is a full-time student. There was no notification of a balanced owed at this time. Instead, *** turned this matter afterwards to a collection agency (Williams & Fudge) for follow-up with an added cost. This all could have been avoided if *** had let me know while visiting their campus. W&F is now pestering my son with frequent phone calls and threats if this matter is not paid at once. And each time, my son explains the matter and points them back to *** for details to resolve the matter. W&F is ignoring this request and keeps calling my son over and over again. This type of business practice is highly abusive and unethical. See the letter attached below for further detail. - *** (December 30)

I was treated absolutely rudely by the representative Susan and she refused to accept my payment
I was treated absolutely rudely by the representative Susan and she refused to accept my payment. I contacted them today to set up a payment plan and make a payment to which Susan refused to do. She started the call off nice to try to get information out of me (contact number and email, employment, etc) but then insisted that I either have to pay the debt in full, make six monthly payments of $800+ dollars, or at least make three monthly payments of $100 but after those three months it will go up. I told her repeatedly that while I may work full time I live on my own and pay for everything myself and can not afford anything higher than $50 so she has to accept what I can afford. I was met once again with the nastiest attitude I have ever heard as she got a rude tone with me and told me that she doesn't have to do anything and is refusing to accept anything less than what she stated. I asked for an email of someone I can contact or to send me something in writing stating that I legally have to pay that amount and can't pay anything less and demanded to speak with her supervisor, which she kept refusing. She is refusing to accept payment from me.

I have become exhausted in my attempts to get my situation cared for
I have become exhausted in my attempts to get my situation cared for. Furthermore, I feel like I am having to do the work of others and not get paid for it. It all comes down to this. Williams & Fudge is a collections partner for *** Community Collection. They are paid to collect, but do not act responsibly where their debtors are concerned. This is the second time this has happened and now it involves my money. I have been making monthly payments faithfully to pay off a small balance that *** turned over to W&F years ago (without my knowledge mind you.)Indiana *** of *** withheld my tax refund due to a process called 'tax offset' that goes toward my debt to Williams & Fudge. It took me over 2 months to get these two parties; (***, Williams and Fudge) to get off their haunches and contact *** of *** to confirm the offset so they can release the payment to pay down my debt.WELL, HERE WE GO AGAIN!*** of *** placed another offset of $127.00 and are still waiting for confirmation to release payment. I have emailed several times and have called several times and NOTHING!I want this resolved to my satisfaction.

This company calls up to 20 times in a 2 minute span
This company calls up to 20 times in a 2 minute span. After a few hours they call again multiple times from a different number. Every day they call from different numbers over and over again. Each time, they are disguise themselves with a different local number so I cannot block them. It is very disruptive to my work because it distracts myself and my coworkers every time the phone rings. They refuse to leave a message to say who it is and why they are calling. I have returned their call from my work phone. They tell me that they will not give me any information because the number is not associated with an account. I have called several times and they have refused to even give me the name of the company. Again, they tell me that there is no account associated with the number. I have asked multiple times what the purpose of all the calls are and they refuse to answer. It is only after an employee slipped and told me which company it was that I was able to look them up. I have never received any written communication from this company so I don't even know what they are calling about over and over. I am ready to file a cease and assist claim against them. It is pure harassment.

Contacted company to resolve debt
Contacted company to resolve debt. Was laid to about them contacting school the amount I'm willing to pay. I received correspondence about a bill that I owed to Mckendree University. I contacted the company and informed them that I was willing to settle the account for the balance I owed to McKendree University. I was informed that they will contact the school and offer them the settlement. I contacted the company again and they informed me that the school declined the settlement which was the balance on my account with the school. Why would the school deny the balance with them to be paid in full? I contacted William and fudge and explained to them that that's the balance and they told me that the balance was a different amount (8989.17) and the school will only settle for 80% of that total and that they can set up a payment plan. I informed them that they sent the invoice to me and the balance I owed the school was 5344.17 and I was willing to settle that amount with the school. I was not willing to pay anything more and they informed me that the school rejected that amount. I do not believe that the amount was offered to the school because why will the school reject the balance paid in full with them which was 5344.17.

I am filing a complaint with Williams & Fudge for repeated calls and correspondence regarding a debt that I have already paid to their client
I am filing a complaint with Williams & Fudge for repeated calls and correspondence regarding a debt that I have already paid to their client. This complaint is for Williams & Fudge regarding Account XXXXXXXXXX pertaining to an alleged $23 owed to Miami-Dade College's Wolfson Campus (please see attachment). I have spoken with several representatives from the campus's finance/bourses office who confirmed by phone that I do not owe any money to Miami-Dade College, that the $23 was paid on 6/2, and that I do not have a hold on my account. Williams &Fudge stated by phone that they cannot remove me from their list. In addition, I have contacted the company by e-mail several times in the past two months and they have not once e-mailed me. I would like for Williams & Fudge to please stop contacting me regarding money that have I have previously paid to Miami-Dade College over two years ago and to confirm that I have been removed from their collections list. The company appears to have no problem calling me and sending me a letter, however, they will not respond to a written e-mail to them to confirm whether I owe money, or to acknowledge whether this debt has been settled. In addition to the letter, I have documentation that the $23 was already paid two years ago.

I received multiple calls from Williams & Fudge
I received multiple calls from Williams & Fudge. Everyday they call and leave a voicemail stating that it is not a sales call and to call them back. I had no idea what they wanted. I called the representative back and they would not tell me who they were or what they were calling about. I did not identify myself on the phone like they wanted because I had no idea who they were. After some back and forth, they told me they were looking for my sister. Turns out they've been calling me everyday to try to get in tough with my sister about an unpaid debt. Not sure how they ever received my information, but it is highly inappropriate that they are calling me about someone else's debt. Highly unethical and extremely poor costumer service when my sister got into contact with them. They are very bullying and predatory. I feel exposed and vulnerable knowing that they are able to just contact whoever they want about debt. This is not my debt and never was, they should not be able to harass me to get a debt paid, especially when it is not my debt. I could not believe that someone wanted me to identify myself before even telling me what they were calling for, nonetheless calling about a family member and expecting me to just give that information when they didn't tell me who they were. How are they still allowed to operate?

I was called several times a week and harrassed about a debt even though I already pay student loans
I was called several times a week and harrassed about a debt even though I already pay student loans. Since then they have opened 2 extra accounts I recieved several calls a week about a debt they couldn't prove to me. I am already making monthly payments towards my student loans so this new debt confused me. The calls grew ruder and more frequent, as I deal with a mental illness I broke down crying and had an anxiety attack, which only made the man press me further so I gave him all my bank information between sobs. Since then, I was almost done paying this mysterious debt to William's and Fudge but they continued to open two new accounts on me at different times, adding to the debt. Now my monthly payments to them are being fed into three different accounts without actually paying the first one off. I called the University of *** where I attended several years ago and they had no knowledge of any accounts through William's and Fudge linked to my name. I have no idea where this supposed debt came from since I am already paying off my student loans. How can they just open account after account on me? I don't owe this money, they are fraud accounts that they bullied me into giving my information for. I'm scared to call them again. They were not professional or nice. The guy's name who kept harassing me: Initials are K.R. Please help me, I don't owe this debt, I am already paying student loans and they will just keep piling more accounts onto me. I don't want it showing on my credit if I stop paying William's. My biggest concern is if I stop making these payments, that Kyle will start calling and harassing me again. Very traumatizing and I don't know what to do

Refused to cancel payment I made on account
Refused to cancel payment I made on account. Refused to refund account. Yelled at me on phone when asked for refund Set up a payment with the agency to start paying off a debt on [protected]. The next day, [protected], I received a letter from WI Department of Revenue stating that my debt had been paid via tax hold. I immediately called Williams and Fudge to ask my payment to be stopped or refunded, which they replied saying that they did not have my payment yet and that I would have to make a stop payment via my bank. When I called my bank that day, they said that Williams and Fudge did in fact receive my payment already and thus they could not make a stop payment. When I called back they told me to send a copy of the letter I received from the state of WI and they would respond from there. Today, 3/2, I sent the letter I received, and never got a response. I learned after calling them, i was put on the do not call list even though I never asked to be put on said list. When I requested my refund after providing proof of payment, the manager started listing off fees that they were applying to my account. I told him that he needed to issue the refund immediately to which he responded that he won't since I authorized the payment. I told him that I did authorize the payment, but was unaware that my taxes were being withheld, and he needs to refund my payment. He said he would apply my payment to my fees, and that i would still have a balance with them. I told him that I would be reporting him to the Complaintsboard.com for this unfair treatment to which he responded by raising his voice saying that I authorized my payment so they were going to keep the money and there was nothing I could do about it.
