Patricia had purchased a willy dog and unsuccessfully received a cart with mechanical faults which willy dog never repaid her or fixed the cart. Since then we have purchased the cart and made $1200.oo worth of repairs and upgrades to the cart. Today the cart is worth its original price and more. They sold an inferior cart and never compensated the purchaser or anything. We will not be buying anything from this company as they do not honor their word at all, or try to correct their mistakes.

I have a Willy Dog Hummer, bought in 2013. I have had 3 successful seasons with it although each season comes with its fair share of problems on the cart that needed to be addressed and fixed. The most irritating issue is the water system. I have repaired that system more times than I can count but it still rears it's ugly head every chance it gets. This year again, getting ready for my season and the rubber hoses had become so brittle that when I powered up the water pump it literally blew a chunk right out of the side! Another wasted day fixing the plumbing but it's become part of my regular season startup routine I guess. This year however it's a bit worse, I was taking my cart for inspection (which it failed by the way, I'll tell you more on that later...) and on my way back from my FAILED inspection I pull into my garage and go to unhook the cart and, oh goody, the spout from my faucet was laying inside the sink, not the whole faucet, just the spout. It appears that the cheap plastic ring that held the spout in place finally gave up the fight and shattered into a few dozen pieces. At least it had the courtesy to wait until my inspection was over before falling apart.

Last season, aside from the water system, my cooler fell off, yup, fell right off. Discovered that the only thing holding it in place were 12 one inch long screws and a couple pieces of homemade bracketing that in actuality weren't holding onto anything. The screws were self-tapping and sharp so over my seasons of driving and the cooler swaying ever so slightly within the confines of it suspended home those sharp little suckers just chewed their way through the plastic and clunk, it was done. Has anyone ever tried to repair anything INSIDE a Willy Dog cart? Well, even though it has a couple access points, no fully grown human being is fitting inside one of them! I ended up having to build a brace out of wood and brace the cooler up from inside (which was extremely difficult to get into place!) and then "re-tap" some new screws in to hold it where it needs to be. It isn't pretty but it works.

Last season I also had to spend $500 to have the braking system rewired on the cart. Turns out that Willy Dog wired the trailer then set the body of the cart right on top of those wires so as the trailer travels down the road, those wires are being rubbed away by the trailer on the bottom and the cart on the top. Only took 2 seasons and the lights wouldn't work anymore. That was a costly fix.

Other than that, I've had my side shelf fall off and rivets pop out all over the place. I don't even bother calling Willy Dog because they made it clear they didn't care right off the hop. Once they had my money, they were off and running!

Now I'm really in a bind. This year, my city has changed the regulations for cart inspection if you are applying to vend off city property (I have a very lucrative city street that I am not willing to give up so I NEED my permit). In years past, my cart didn't need to be inspected but starting this year the regulations changed and I have to have a third party inspection. I had that done this morning and FAILED. As it turns out, that water system that had been my nemesis since the beginning isn't certified and the method of heating the water using the copper piping around the burner system without the use of a steam regulator is a really big no-no! FAIL! As well, the propane system is not certified and under no circumstances can my cart pass inspection without having a certified propane system. The inspector and I, have both tried to contact Willy Dog and they never answer the phone and they don't return phone calls once they've got your money.

So, here I go, sinking more money into my little cart. One day, I will have rebuilt so much of it that it won't actually be a Willy Dog cart anymore and then it will actually, fully, work ; )

Willydogs is a terrible place to purchase your hotdog cart. Mine didn't even make it through the first season without repairs and I didn't even start towing it on the road until my 2nd season. I've only towed it three times because of how badly put together it is. The wiring is all messed up and one of the lights didn't even work when I got it. They half-### everything. They also "reserve the right" to make changes to your cart without telling you. Even after you've paid and after it is shipped. I got my cart and it was built completely different than the schematics I emailed them. They even confirmed my plans and said that it would be "no problem at all"! Also, their financing that they advertise on their website is terrible. Time Payment Corps is what they're called. READ THE CONTRACT! It's a binding contract that you can't back out of. They force you to pay and you cannot return the cart. If you don't pay, they tack on late fees, and fees just for mailing you a late notice and/or for calling you to tell you that you're late. If you try to call and talk to a supervisor to try and return it they refuse you. They threaten to take you to court, they threaten to ruin your credit, they threaten to repossess the cart (even though they refuse to take it when you try to take it back!) It's all a scam.

Oh - and the cart rusts. Don't listen to what he says. It rusts. It will rust. It is going to rust. He uses the cheapest materials he can get his hands on. STAY AWAY FROM WILLYDOGS AND TIME PAYMENT CORPS. THEY ARE CROOKS!
