World of Peppa Pig review: Birthday party review

As annual pass holders for a couple of years, we were excited to celebrate our daughter's 5th birthday at the World of Peppa Pig Chicago location. Having seen other birthday parties there, our daughter was eager to have her special day at her favorite spot.

Unfortunately, our experience did not meet our expectations. We arrived at 1 PM as scheduled, but our host, Jimena, was nowhere to be found. When we requested water or juice for our guests, we were informed that these beverages would only be served with the pizza, which was slated for 2 PM. With no outside food allowed and no provision for refreshments, my spouse had to go to the front desk to obtain a pitcher of water for our guests.

When it came time to cut the cake, we were surprised when Jimena, our designated host, informed us that she would only assist if absolutely necessary, as she was the manager. This lack of assistance and the delayed pizza delivery at 2:10 PM, after most guests had left the room, was disappointing. Jimena hastily placed a few slices of pizza on plates and promptly left.

In summary, while the party venue itself was enjoyable, our experience was marred by the irresponsibility and rudeness of our host. It seems that at this location, hosts may not be as involved as one would expect, leaving parents to manage everything themselves. Ultimately, this left us feeling disappointed and frustrated. Despite our positive experiences at other birthday venues, we cannot recommend hosting a party at the Chicago location of the World of Peppa Pig. However, for playtime and regular visits, the location remains enjoyable.
