Worldline phone and internet bundle

It's been a few years I've put up with a monthly call to worldline to ask them to fix the failing intenet that would go in and off with no stability. Price is motivating, I've out up with it.
Every time I call it's as if they have no clue as to what they did last time...

Now I'm done. Twenty five plus times down, and now it's been a week of non functioning line. I called a week ago, they create a ticket number, and were ask to and promise to call bank with what they found. No call. My wife called and they did something. It worked for about one day. I called on Easter weekend and spent two hours on hold. It was like starting all over, no knowledge of a ticket number, no returned call, no fix.
They want to sell or rent me a new router.
They have wasted so very very very much of my valuable time over the last two years they can give me a router, and fun they problem on their own.
Also, Can usually barely unerstand the person in the other end of the line .
I think I'm done with this company.
At least fifty hours on hold over the last three years, they owe me more then a sales pitch for new equipment.

Worldline internet/phone

For the first year, Worldline was great then the drop offs started. Every week and weekend the speed would drop, it would disconnect and the I would have no phone or internet. Call after call and no one could fix the problem. They always told me that they could not get into the modem to configure, nonsense. In the last 2 months I have had maybe 15 calls to Worldline for this problem. They finally convinced me to get a new modem and guess what, they could not get into the modem to configure it. Back on the old modem once again and after several calls of assurance that they will fix the new modem, I get a call from their "best" tech and she says I should go back to the old modem! 3 days and still nothing fixed. They hung up on me, they lied to me and were sooo rude by laughing at me. I had 2 computers working and now one cannot get online with the new modem as it uses a D-link adapter. Was told by tech support that they have fulfilled their obligation to me by having only one computer online.

Worldline internet & home phone

I purchased the bundle pkg. 2 weeks ago, & it never worked properly from day 1. Talked to tech dept & got no results resolved from there dept. We had no phone for approximately 4 days. I was lead to believe there would be a technician come out to my home & resolve the issues, accept that wasn't true. I finally had to cancel the system & keep my original suppler. I was really hoping your program would work. The price was right. I think your biggest problem is that your people are from domincan rep. doing your work for you. You should have technicians working in canada to help resolve problems with your system. I wasn't very happy. If things would change with your company I would go back with your company Yours truly Gerald Pickford [protected] emai address [protected]@cogeco.ca

Worldline fraudulence

STAY AWAY FROM WORLDLINE.CA! I needed internet, and decided to go with them after seeing an ad online. They needed me to pay one month upfront, which I did using my Visa Debit card. Then they left my visa debit card on file and continued to charge me through it without telling me! This isn't like a credit card, it's a debit card attached to my bank account, holding my hard earned dollars. I asked them to remove my banking information from their system, and explained it was illegal for them to hold onto it without my authorization. They assured me, they did. Then they charged me again. 3 days later. Now I have to go through my bank and get a replacement card, etc. because of this companys fraudulent activity. I guess because their call center islocated in the dominican, they think they can do whatever they want and just hide. Stay AWAY!

Worldline harassment

I recently started looking into other service providers for my internet and home phone service. I emphasize "looking into". Currently I have a service provider that is fair, but am looking for something a little cheaper. On Worldline's website, it asks you to fill in a small form with your address, etc so that they can determine if their service is available in your area. As their prices seemed reasonable and I live in a rural area where some internet and phone services are not available, I filled in the form to see if they serviced my area. PLEASE NOTE: I just wanted to know if they offered service in my area... nothing more at this point. An hour after I filled in the form, they called me, sent me an email and also left me a voicemail, which was fine. I did not have time to look at them or listen to the voicemail right away. On that same day, the called me 9 more times and sent me another email outlining their deals and such and if I was interested to call them back. I have since received another voicemail aksing me to call them to complete my transaction... What transaction?! All I did was ask if they offered services in my area. Yikes! Whatever you do, do not fill out that form. I cannot get them to go away. I have asked them politely to please stop emailing me and contacting me as I received the information I was after and if I was interested after I had concluded my research as to which provider I wanted to go with, I would give them a call. I have also sent them a nasty email telling them to stop harassing me. Since then I have been reading the online reviews about this company. All I can say is stay FAR, FAR away!

Worldline canceled service that they keep taking monthly fee's out of my bank

This is the actual email i have sent to worldine.Ca several times and had no response from them.. I also have called them 5 times and told the same thing every time... They are working on this matter and will get back to me... Meanwhile they deducted a october 2012 payment out of my bank... Again... So for 6 months they have deducted monthly fee's out of my bank account that i cancelled in april 2012... I have now since filed fraud charges with the police and i have a meeting with a reporter from the toronto star today ... Thye are scammers.. And i want my refund today... Avoid this comany at all costs.. They are scam artists...

I called to cancel my service back on april 3, 2012 when you billed me for 2 months at once and i was told my service would be discontinued within 48 hours... I never thought to check my bank account to see if in fact my service had been terminated and then i noticed in september 2012 that i was infact still being charged every month for service i had cancelled... You continued to take funds out of my account in may, june, july, august, september 2012 and i again called on september 27, 2012 to find out why the service had not been cancelled and advised the idiots i spoke to in your third world call center that if they did not refund me the for the 5 months i was charged when the service should have been cancelled i was going to the police to file fraud charges... Then i find out again yesterday you charged my damn account again... So you have now taken 6 months payments for a service that i have not used once since april 2012 when i called the first time to cancel... You now owe me for 6 months of service and i want the funds returned to me today... The amounts you owe me are; april 2012 $15.76 & $15.76 (You took 2 payments) may 2012 $15.76, june 2012 $15.76, july 2012 $15.76, august 2012 $15.76, september 2012 $28.19, (Who knows why the hell it is this amount) october 2012 $16.89.. For the total of $108.12... These funds better be refunded to my account today or as i told the gentleman i spoke to last night again that i will be going to the police at 5pm my time today to file fraud charges and i have an appointment with my bank for them to file fraud charges as well at 7pm tonight... I also have a call to the toronto star to have a reporter see me and run a story in the toronto star newspaper exposing you for the con artist and defrauders you are... Again this better be refunded to my account today or i will be filing charges and having you exposed in the newspaper... I want my $108.12 today... No more ### games and excuses... I have not used the damn service once since i called in april 2012 to cancel and i know you can check the account and see that i have not called anywhere using your ### service... My # on the account is xxx-xxx-xxxx... I also expect a call from someone today before 5pm confirming my refund of $108.12 today...

Worldline worldine internet & home phone bundle

STAY AWAY FORM THIS COMPANY!

I made the huge mistake of signing up for Worldline's bundle. I paid the "first and last month" for a total of $124.19 charged to my credit card on August 2nd 2011. I gave them 2 weeks notice when to come set up the services as I was moving in to our new place- so they were to come on Agust 15th. Both my husband and I work form home, so I had to ensure the services would be set up on time. Not only did they NOT show up to install the services, but when I called them they hadn't even set up the account properly. The agents could not find me in their records- although they had NO problem charging my credit card for $124 2 weeks before that! It took me over 2 months- countless emails and phone calls, to finally get a manager to call me back...and guess what!?!?! ONLY after I had already filed a charge back with my credit card company as Worldline continued to bill my credit card monthly for $62.00 for a service they never even installed!

After speaking with Mike, the "manager" at Worldline.ca (and only one that speaks fluent English...their call centre is in the Carribean). He tried to make it right. He said he could refund me for the months that had been taken off my credit card when the services were never installed AND/OR give me the month of November's service free for the hassle and aggravation. Now I work in Customer Service, and he was really trying to make an effort to keep my business, even though I was already going through the charge back process, I asked Mike at Worldline to send me all this in writing in an email- which he did. With this done, and the resolution in writing, I thought I would give it another shot~ my 2ND mistake! They finally set up the services, and all was good up until January. They claim 5mbsp speed...###! We did the speed test over and over and we were lucky if we had a 1/2 mbsp! I contacted Worldline over and over because of incredibly slow connections, and times when we lost the connection completely for hours (btw- you have NO phone when this happens, as it is Voip). Worldline continued to do nothing. There was no technical support at all, and no accountability as to the slow or non existant connection. Their live chat on their website worldline.ca only works if you want to sign up for service and give them money.

My husband and I bought a house and were scheduled to move on August 2012. On July 20th, I contacted Worldline to advise them that I was giving them 30 days notice of non renewal of my services. My last month had already been paid for in August 2011 when I signed up for the services. Worldline tells me that my services were connected in October, so therefor I was getting out of my contract early and there would be penalty fees! I argued with them that my services were set up in August 2011 when they charged my credit card first and last in the amount of $124- and that I was charged for 2 months after that for this services, and that I was not to be penalized for their incompetence...I signed up in August, and paid for August, September and October before they gave me a month for free for all the hassle mentioned above.

I sent a detailed email to Mike at Worldline expressing my anger and discontent, and forwarding him the email he sent me in November about not charging for the month. He said he would look into the matter and call me back...well he did NOT call me back! In fact, that DAY Worldline charged my credit card for the month of August 2012(even though it was already paid for in my first and last month). I was livid! To make matters worst, I get an email from Worldline days later saying that they have cancelled my services immediately for non payment for the month of November...you know- the free month Mike gave me for the hassle I endured and to cancel my charge back! So now I paid for the last month AGAIN, and Worldline has cut off my services 1 month early! I had had enough, I drove into work for the last 3 weeks for work as I had no internet for August.

We moved into our new home mid August, and have Bell Fibe (OMG! Now THAT is fast internet!)...I got my credit card statement last week...yeah- Worldline charged my for services from August to September! Can you believe these ignorant idiots! They cancel MY service 1 month early and have the balls to continue charging my credit card! Of course, as usual I cannot get in touch with ANYONE at Worldline. They will not return my multitude of emails or calls. I have contacted my credit card company for a charge back...again! What a complete hassle...this company is only good to take your money- they do not provide the services they claims, and when they do it is SOOO much slower than advertised, they fraudulently take money from your account, and cancel your services whenever they want and hide behind computers!

STAY AWAY! FAR FAR AWAY FROM Worldline...rip off company

Worldline false advertising

I signed up with this company's "Unlimited Long distance Plan". They decided that I was using "too much" (which really defeats the point of unlimited, right?) and cut me off without any warning. They kept the deposit and all the other "fees" they charge so signing up. This company is a scam. DO NOT sign up, unless you want to get cut off arbitrarily and lose your money.

Hi, was using Wordline for Long Distance for certain countries (not all are included) and heard they offered Internet & home phone. I called to inquire about fees, services and they sent me an LOA to activate the service if I was ever interested. Then got a $128 bill on my CC for home phone and Internet service. Called promptly to adivise, after a lengthy...

Worldline missleading costumers

When I first called and Spoke to "Luis" he assured me that this company will provide unlimited long distance service to all land line in Colombia, as it is also mention in their web page. I discussed the service with my husband and I proceeded to sing up on line at around 1:00 AM on February 2, 2010.

The next day in the morning at around 8:00 AM on Feb 3, 2010, I tried calling my mother, sister and brother I was not able to communicate. I tried a friends number and I was able to get thru to him. So I tried my mother again, only to be unsuccessful. That is when I decided to call customer service thinking I was doing something wrong. I spoke to "Danny" who inform me then that there are certain numbers in Colombia that do not work and they start with an "8". I asked him to cancel the service and he provided me with cancelation number 130314 and he said they should refund me within 7 days. Later that day I called again because the access number was still active and spoke to "Iris" and asked her to please disconnect the access number and make sure the account was cancel, which she did, I think, at least she said she did.

Today I called to find out about the refund only to hear that the billing department denied my refund because I had service. A service that I did not use, and I can not use because the three numbers that I have to call do not work with this service.

This company is misleading customers in the web page and thru the reps. They are lying to people. It is very easy to say they are not approving the refund and do not accept responsibilities "approving? am I asking for credit to get approved?".

Since I did not get anywhere with this company, I reported them to my credit card, VISA, The Better Business Bureau and will spread the news through different websites where you can report companies like this. I don't care what it takes, somehow I am going to let people know that they are ripping people off and that they misrepresent them selves. Is not even about the money anymore (in fact I already got a refund from my Visa), is about being "Ethical" and upholding the promises of service.

Thank you.

I would not recommend any of you guys to take any service with that company. I used to work as an agent for them, they false-advertise their service to you telling you that you will get the lowest price in the market, which may be true for the first two, three months then it will go up like any of the usual Canada companies with a better internet like Bell, etc. Also not to mention the wack and petty customer service due to having their customer service center overseas in the DR and not having any customer friendly culture, they get anyone who knows how to say''apple'' in the phone to talk to customers, plus they pay those poor ppl less than $2.00 dollars per hour making them ''loving''their job even more. The reason why they send you a bell tech pretty much for everything related to the line is because they're renting damaged lines from them to get you a wack cheapy service. Actually, most of the times when you call customer service they don't even have the tools to fix your issue and they always end up sending a bell tech for the reason already explained above. I am posting this just to let you know about their scam, I spent almost two years working for them.

I am an American who worked and lived in the Dominican Republic for 18 months. The main Worldline call center is located in Puerto Plata, Dominican Rep.

You will get nowhere by talking to any of the employees at that particular call center. You need to INSIST on speaking to Peter Cross or Jody Schnarr. Peter is the main manager and Jody is the owner. They are probably the only ones who will be able to help you out.

Worldline also has some employees in Canada - I believe in Waterloo, Ontario? I don't remember how to get in touch with them but you might check their website and see what you can do.

The Dominicans in the call center aren't bad people, they just aren't paid to care about your issues. I had a hard time with the 'I don't give a [censored] attitude' most of the employees had when I worked there.

Good luck!
