in November 2022 I purchased three round-trip tickets to Phuket Thailand. In May, one of the legs of the flight was changed. We were able to travel from Atlanta to Phuket with only one glitch… But the airlines put us on an alternative flight after telling us that we had been changed to standby, this was a curious event since we purchased our tickets in November the real problem began on the return flight. upon arrival there online told us that our ticket had been “removed”. We were given no change of schedule… We were notified in no way that there was any such an issue. We called and called and called Wowfare. they did not respond to us. Finally, I got on a live chat with them and they told us they would contact us by email within2-4 hours. understand that we were stuck in the Phuket airport with no way home and a daughter who started college in four days two of those days it takes to get home because of the non-support from welfare. We went ahead and purchased tickets home from another airline at the tune of $8600. We did not have that money to spend. So not only where we out the money we paid Wowfare originally, we had to charge $8600 just simply to get home. Welfare has given us the runaround. Friday I consult with an attorney. learn from us and never use this company. this is been one of the biggest mistakes of our lives with the two daughters in college we do not have money to blow in this manner and welfare has issued no apology….. no explanation. The airlines attributed the removal of the ticket to wowfare and wowfare attributed to the airline. either way, we are unable to settle the dispute with the airline since we booked through wowfare. this is unacceptable in America!
Desired outcome: restitution of the $8600 we had to pay to get home plus attorney fees
