Terrible Dry Cleaning Experience: Items Destroyed and No Resolution in Sight!
This business is a complete disaster! If I could give them a zero, I would. Let me tell you the facts (check out the receipt below):
On June 04, 2019, I brought in three items (items from Restoration - Luxe Faux Fur Blanket, Pillowcase, Lumbar Case) for dry cleaning. I received a claim check # D *** at 6:19 pm and was charged a total of $35.45.
I returned on June 11, 2019, one week later, to pick up my items only to find that each item (observed through the clear cleaning bag) was destroyed. In the store, in front of the person working, we both pulled out each item to find that they washed and dried each one. Yes, they washed and dried items that clearly stated "dry clean only" and that I had specifically requested to be dry cleaned. The items were completely shrunk and lost all form and faux.
The person working kept my items and assured me that they would address the issue and let me know what I could expect in return. However, there was no follow-up and no insight into a resolution. I was given the phone number of the owner, as apparently the owner would not reply to his employee. I have called the cleaners weekly, but have received no return calls. I have gone back to the cleaners, but nothing! I have sent 15 texts to the owner.
I finally called the owner and he answered, only to say that he had a cold and that he would call me back (can you believe it?). I sent several more texts and left many more emails, but still no response.
I just left work and stopped by the cleaners, spending several minutes there, only to receive smiles and a statement that they would call me back. FYI... this is the person (employee) doing the training for new personnel.
It is now September and I am still asking for my product to be returned. Not only do they not have any answers on how to address the damage, but they can't even find my stuff! They just smile and say they will call me back.
What would you do? This is the worst place ever!
Yahoo Local Review: A Great Resource for Finding Local Businesses and Services
I have been using Yahoo Local (local.yahoo.com) for a while now and I must say, it has been a great experience. The platform is very easy to use and navigate. I have been able to find a lot of local businesses and services that I need in my area. The search results are always accurate and up to date.
One thing I really appreciate about Yahoo Local is the reviews section. It is very helpful to read what other people have to say about a business or service before deciding to use them. I have found some great recommendations through the reviews section.
However, there are some spelling and grammar errors on the platform that can be a bit distracting. But I understand that these errors are common among human beings and it doesn't affect the clarity of the information presented.
Overall, I would highly recommend Yahoo Local to anyone looking for local businesses and services. It is a great resource and has helped me find some amazing places in my area.
Outstanding Service at Fletcher Jones in Fremont: A Customer's Review
I just gotta say, I recently got my 2018 GLA250 from Fletcher Jones in Fremont and it was a pretty sweet experience. The whole process was super fast, easy, and efficient. And the peeps there were friendly and informative without being all pushy and annoying. Like, what more could you want when you're trying to get a new ride, ya know?
This was actually the first time I ever leased a car instead of buying it outright. But it's my third Mercedes Benz, so I'm no stranger to the brand. My previous two were used cars from other dealers, but I always took 'em to Fletcher Jones for maintenance. And let me tell ya, they always did me right. I live on the Peninsula, but I don't mind driving the extra miles to get to Fletcher Jones 'cause their service team is just that good.
My mom actually put me onto Fletcher Jones back in the early 90s when she started buying and maintaining her car there. When I got my first Mercedes Benz (an SL500) in 2002, I took it to a different dealer for service and it was a total bust. They were all salty about me buying the car elsewhere and it showed in their service. But when I took it to Fletcher Jones, it was like night and day. They were all about that customer service and I've been taking my cars there ever since.
Last week, I took my GLA250 in for its first service and worked with Ron Reyes, the service advisor. And let me tell ya, he was the bomb dot com. The team was super thorough in checking out the stuff I needed fixed and they even went above and beyond to recreate this weird issue I was having with the automatic trunk closure. And the whole time they had my car, they hooked me up with a loaner vehicle. Ron kept me in the loop the whole time and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Honestly, I couldn't be happier with the consistent, outstanding, and always friendly service I've gotten from Fletcher Jones over the years. They're the real deal, folks.
Beware of Affirm: A Scam Loan Company Attacking Credit Reports Based on Phone Numbers
This company, Affirm, is a complete scam! I cannot believe that they would stoop so low as to attack someone's credit report based on a phone number. It is completely against the law to grant credit with just a phone number, and yet they have done just that. I recently checked my Experian credit score and found that Affirm had claimed a delinquent payment on my report. The problem is, I have NEVER had an Affirm loan! I am currently disputing this with both Affirm and Experian, and have even filed a complaint with the FCC department. I am prepared to go all the way to the United States highest court of appeals if I have to, just to get this matter resolved.
When I called Affirm's customer service, they could not find my name on file. I spoke with a supervisor who also ran into the same problem. Finally, they asked for my telephone number and stated that there is an account linked with my number. I couldn't believe it! Why would they not first call me if they have my number, so we could straighten this fraud out? When I asked for the name connected to my phone number, they refused to give it to me. They said that it came from a Walmart purchase, and that it is an "option" a buyer has through Walmart on check-out to buy products they wish to finance in payments. This is ridiculous! Credit is not granted by a phone number!
I am beyond frustrated with this whole situation. It is obvious that they are talking to an enraged person about an account linked to the wrong number that is attached to a "she" as the rep referred to the person linked to the telephone number. They refuse to disclose the name, which just adds to my frustration. I have filed a complaint with both Affirm and Experian, and am documenting every phone call, every letter, every email and time put into this matter, so that I may file a lawsuit myself for all damages they have caused me in having to correct this stupid claim.
I urge everyone to stay clear of this fraudulent loan company and their deceptive business practices. I will post anywhere I can and as often as I can, about the crooks running this place. It is important that the public is informed about this company and their unethical practices.
Warning: Terrible Experience at Zen Gardens - A Guest House That's Actually an Unscreened Homeless Shelter
This review is a warning to all those who are considering staying at Zen Gardens. I had a terrible experience there and I don't want anyone else to go through what I did. This place is listed on Craigs list as a Guest House for females, but it's not what it seems. There is no security deposit required to move in, which is what attracts most people. However, Zen, the woman who you will only communicate with via text messages and phone calls, will tell you that it's a guest house, but it's actually an apartment that she's subletting. No one knows who she is or where she is because she never visits the apartment. Instead, she uses the guests in the apartment to handle her business. She will even ask you to throw out the belongings of another person if she feels the need. The guest/roommates are basically her employees. You will be asked to change codes and even put other people's clothing outside. The kitchen is filthy and both toilets are broken. One of the toilets requires you to remove the tank cover, put your hand in the tank, and then flush the toilet. The other toilet is out of service because Zen refuses to have a plumber fix it. She wants the guests to chip in and pay the bill. The light in the bathroom is also broken, so you have to shower in the dark. The place is being run like a homeless shelter and you will experience it as such, thanks to Zen. The guest/roommates are not being screened properly, so expect to find runaways, jobless people, and even those with mental health issues living there. If you want to mix with anyone and everyone, then this is the place for you. This means that anyone can be sleeping in the bunk bed next to you. Yes, you heard that right. There are only bunk beds available. You're paying $675 for a bunk bed and unfavorable conditions. If for some reason you're unable to pay the rent directly on the 1st of the month, you will receive THREATENING TEXT MESSAGES AND PHONE CALLS FROM Zen TELLING YOU THAT HER UNCLE WILL BE THERE TO THROW YOUR BELONGINGS OUT ON THE STREET. You have only until the 1st of the month to make a payment, otherwise you're gone. If stress and aggravation are your cup of tea, then by all means go to this place. If not, I suggest you use your $675 and rent a private room by yourself. Don't make the same mistake I did.
Carolina Decorative Concrete: Unresponsive, Dishonest, and Does Not Stand by Their Work
This company is not recommended for any job! I hired them to do a stamped patio, walkway, pour a concrete pad for a dog kennel, and resolve a water issue. The water issue is that during heavy rain, water will run into my basement garage area and the building where my dog kennels will be. We wrote the contract, and I paid half the money upfront, which was $4500. After the job was completed, I paid the other $4500, but there were still things he agreed/needed to do, such as painting the border on the patio and sealing it. The weather was not cooperating at that time, and the concrete needed to set up first. After not hearing from him after the final $4500 was paid, my husband called, and Mr. Sullivan said he needed to wait until the weather was warm to complete the job. The weather warmed up, and he never came to finish the job.
A big part of the job was to resolve the water issue. Me and 4 other people expressed our concern that his plan was not going to hold up under heavy thunderstorms. Mr. Sullivan insisted it would. Unusual for N. C. weather, we had major thunderstorms on Sat. Jan. 11th and the 13th. As expected, my basement garage and building flooded on both days. This water could have seriously injured my dogs if occupied, but the building is not ready for them yet. I contacted Mr. Sullivan, and he said he would come that day at 3:00. He did not call, and he did not show up. He called 3 hrs. Later and said he would come the next morning. He did show up for that, and when we talked, he was argumentative and defensive. He didn't even remember telling my husband he was going to paint the border nor anything in the contract. He did say he would "try" something to resolve the water issue.
After paying $9,000, I told him I was not paying any more money for a job that was not done correctly. He asked for money for the supplies and stated he would do the labor for free. I did not agree, but he said he would call later with quotes and be here the next day to fix it. He never called or showed up. We did communicate via text after this, and he did propose to fix it with the most ridiculous, cheapest way out idea just like the first time. His plan would have never held up, and I was not going to risk my dogs getting hurt. At this point, he had already proved he does things the fastest, cheapest way, is unresponsive, dishonest, and does not stand by his work. He did not even pour the concrete pad correctly for the dog kennels, so instead of being able to house 5 rescue dogs, I can only house 4. The new contractor I have had to hire did a laser test, and the concrete Mr. Sullivan poured is actually turning the water towards my basement and dog kennels!
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: I filed a complaint against this company with the Better Business Bureau, and Mr. Sullivan FAILED to respond. The case was closed as UNANSWERED. If he is not going to respond to them, what is the probability he will respond to you when the job is not done correctly and after he has taken your money? I am sure he will have a politically correct response, but just type in Carolina Decorative Concrete, and you will see the complaint(s), or you can contact Melissa Neal at ***@bbbtrust.org Phone: ***457. So no matter what his response to this review is, I think this claim speaks for itself.
Terrible Experience with Lia Toyota of Wilbraham - Defective Car and Poor Customer Service
I bought a car from Lia Toyota of Wilbraham in June and the service was great at first. But a few days later, I noticed that the brake light was not working properly and the dashboard had four service lights on. The brakes were lighting up randomly, even when I didn't press them. I brought the car back to Lia and Chevy to have it checked out, and they had it for five days, but the issue was not resolved. I also did not get an inspection sticker, even though I told them I needed one. When I picked up my car, I noticed there was no sticker, and when I got home, I found out that the brakes were still not fixed. I had to go back to the dealership again for the same issue.
After the brake issue was finally fixed, I still did not receive an inspection sticker, even though they had my car for another four days. I had to go back and make sure they gave me a sticker, even though it was a rejection. I had owned the car for a month, but it was in my possession for only half that time, and the issue was ongoing. I wondered why they didn't perform safety checks before selling the car and allowing customers to drive off with them.
I complained to the GM, but they tried to get me to buy another car, which would have cost me for the first purchase on top of the second. I threatened to get a lawyer involved, but my emails were blocked. I had to call back four times before I was able to get answers. The numbers they came back with were over twice what I was paying for the defective car, which I couldn't afford. I declined the offer.
I emailed the assistant service manager again about another problem I noticed, but they had no availability until almost three weeks later. In the meantime, I had my own mechanic check out the car, and he believed a wheel bearing was bad. When the dealership checked the car again, they said they didn't find anything wrong with it. I had to open a case with Toyota directly, but they had to send the request to the dealership twice before they received a response. I was never called or emailed like I was supposed to be, and I had to continuously follow up with Toyota to figure out what was going on. Now my only option is to get legal involved in the situation. This was the worst experience ever!
Herbsmedic Review: My Experience Dealing with Li Yao, President of Herbsmedic
I am Raj B, an 89-year-old widow and disabled lady. I want to share my experience with Herbsmedic and let you be the judge.
I signed a contract to buy a phone number, 279 4 Million, through the President of Herbsmedic. The contract was signed by Li YAO, the President. I paid $4500 through PayPal and $4975 through a check. We overpaid by $1000.
On June 1st, we decided to release the port information. On June 1st, I received an email from the person we were dealing with, Li Yao (nickname Lou & Hammond), from the email address ***@gmail.com.
We started the process of porting through a very reputed company, and Mr. Li Yao's carrier sent a rejection stating 'Invalid user.'
We sent 10 emails and 7 phone calls to Mr. Li Yao ***767 with no luck.
Then we attempted to get in touch with Mr. Li Yao in his Herbsmedic office on Lincoln Avenue (stated in the contract).
Unwillingly, we called the office number ***900.
A lady picked up the phone, and we asked about Lou (Li Yao). She sounded Chinese and stated she would call back after asking about Mr. Li Yao. She spoke broken English.
Later, upon waiting until the evening, we called the same number, and she stated, 'I don't know any Mr. Li Yao, and I did not sell any number to you?'
Actually, what she was stating was right? We don't even know who she was?
She also stated she does not know any Li Yao. Her name was not mentioned anywhere in the contract. We apologized, but everything seemed like a scam, very bizarre?
The PayPal and check were made out to Herbsmedics and sent to the same address of Herbsmedic and encashed?
I was introduced to this person (Li Yao) through someone on eBay.
On eBay, Mr. Li Yao sells vanity phone numbers worth 20k each. Some are listed for 36k. The seller ID is under Herbsmedic? He has around 20 phone numbers listed even today. (copies available upon request). You can go to eBay and search this information. If it is taken down, I have copies of all listings.
Now, whoever I would send an email on eBay asking for the status of the number, Mr. Li Yao got upset. I don't know why?
He is the one who took me to PayPal, and we together agreed on the deal. At that point, there was no question to doubt Mr. Li Yao.
Very questionably, in the last two months of signing the contract, Mr. Li Yao called once and left a short message and always emails from the email ID stated above? He does not pick up calls, stating he does not offer phone support.
All communication with Herbsmedic is with us as legitimate proof of dealing with this phone number, 279 4 million.
We have contacted Mr. Li Yao many times, and finally, the port was completed, but he refused to return $1000, stating it's against another contract that was never honored or invoiced raised by Herbsmedic.
We don't know what mindset Mr. Li Yao has and thinking process, but I was very scared to do business with him again. I ensured he knew I would never do business with him again.
At this time, all I do is pray for Mr. Li Yao and Herbsmedic to one day send our payment back.
We are stating all the above under oath.
We have no intent to say who is right or wrong, but this is our truthful experience dealing with Mr. Li Yao (President Herbsmedic).
We have sent him reminders every week to pay the money back with no luck.
I wish everyone the best.
Disappointing Experience with Outdated Reviews on Yahoo Local
USA
Ivan Kuznetsov, Russia
Igor Kuznetsov, Russia
Olga Kuznetsova, Russia
Sergey Kuznetsov, Russia
My experience with Yahoo Local was not great. I was looking for a good restaurant in my area and decided to check out the reviews on local.yahoo.com. However, I found that many of the reviews were outdated and not helpful. Some of them were even written in a confusing way that made it hard to understand what the reviewer was trying to say.
Additionally, I found that the website was not very user-friendly. It was difficult to navigate and find the information I was looking for. I had to spend a lot of time scrolling through pages and clicking on different links to find what I needed.
Furthermore, I noticed that there were several spelling and grammar errors throughout the website. This made it seem unprofessional and unreliable. It was clear that the reviews were written by regular people, but I would have appreciated if the website had done a better job of editing and proofreading the content.
Overall, I was disappointed with my experience on Yahoo Local. While it did provide some helpful information, it was not easy to use and the quality of the reviews was questionable. I would not recommend this website to others looking for local recommendations.
Unsupervised Laborers and Deceptive Advertising: My Experience with Yahoo Local
I waited a whole year to write this review about Yahoo Local for two reasons. Firstly, I wanted to be objective and secondly, I wanted to see if the warranty would hold up. Eventually, I got the kitchen I wanted, but the process was not without its challenges. I want to inform other consumers about the process so that they can be better prepared.
When you sign the contract, you are at the mercy of US Developers if any grievances arise. Legal recourse is next to zero, and you MUST continue to pay no matter the dispute. As a customer, if you can't be home during construction or hire a construction monitor, you are at the mercy of the ethics of the contractor. You have to trust that they will use quality materials, use legal workers, and protect your home from collateral damages.
Once construction is ongoing, your Project Manager will appear at your home less and less. The Project Manager may be running several workers and projects all over the county while also meeting customers and drumming up new business. While workers are in your home, there's OFTEN no supervision. This is very problematic because unsupervised laborers will take shortcuts and cover up construction mishaps from you and the company. These operations are why contractors earn the bad reputation they receive as an industry.
I had a complete kitchen remodel, and my sales consultant/project manager was Adelle. By far, Adelle is a top professional in all categories. Before writing this review, I reviewed text messages and notes for accuracy. What was most upsetting doing business with US Developers is they cost me, the customer, unnecessary hundreds of dollars. Their advertising was deceptive. US Developers attracted my business in part from their offer to accept credit cards. My credit card has a 20k open line, and I receive rewards from using my card. After lengthy debates, Adelle refused, stating the company has to pay a fee for credit use and would just raise their cost to the customer to offset their loss. No fee cost to the customer is in their ad. All my pleas to have Adelle honor US Developers' ad went unheeded. I stiffed in a new customer call to US Developers spoke to Dillion, who identified himself as a company manager. Dillion said by all means, I could use my credit card without penalty. Adelle would not compromise. Adelle is from Israel and spoke to Dillon in that language.
Adelle promised Porta-Pottys would be brought in for extended jobs. No Potty, every day of 30 days on the job, a worker would ask to use my restroom. At first, I allowed it, uncomfortable with a strange worker going into my room and closing the door. The worker is not my house guest. One of the workers left construction dirt on my rugs and missed the bowl. I no longer let them into any rooms they were not working in.
The following is a listing of Frustrations the 'PROCESS' put me through:
1. Adelle frustrated at my frustrations would no longer talk to me, saying she was going to Israel to celebrate the country's 70th birthday and directed me to conduct remaining business with the owner DYLAN, who was only argumentative and never accepted responsibility or provided redress for grievances. DYLAN said don't call his office anymore, to only use emails. Dylan did not respond to emails. Eventually, DYLAN did not return calls.
2. Failed state work schedules to expect workers. There were days workers were no shows.
3. Failed to adequately cover appliances from construction dust, left indoor appliances outdoors 5 days. Wind blew away coverings.
4. California law and Visa do not penalize with fees when doing business with their card.
5. I had glass cabinet doors frosted, and the frost began to peel. US Developers (REN) said I caused the peeling. I offered to pay an independent company to prove the frosting was a manufacture defect, they refused. Gave me $300.00 to get the doors frosted. REN said he would not reinstall the doors; I would need to pay another company to do their work. I said no deal, gave REN the money back. Stupid me, I eventually hired an independent company to complete the job.
6. The ad said US Veterans discount credit. No credit was on the invoice. Adelle would only say it was calculated into the cost.
7. On several occasions when Adelle was not on-site, and workers were not sure of their assignments, Adelle wanted me to instruct them. I had to remind her I am the customer, not the Project Manager.
8. No Base Stripping installed between floor cabinets and dishwasher. Laminate Flooring was installed before cabinets were installed. Cabinet installers arrived, walked off the job after refusing to be responsible for any damage by moving appliances across newly laid laminate flooring.
9. Left me with 3 unopened boxes of laminate flooring totaling 542.49 sq. Ft. Company refused to take back flooring or offer a refund, suggested I take the flooring to the company where they purchased and ask for a refund.
10. On occasion, workers did not have proper tools and asked to use mine.
There are so many grounds for suing US Developers; however, at 70 and in challenged health, I decided to eat the loss. I refused to sign their work completion and customer satisfaction document.
Social media assists customers in making informed decisions. I have since had two bathrooms remodeled by another company. No DISPUTES!

Poor Service and Quality: My Experience at a Local Car Repair Shop
I had an appointment at this place for 8:30 in the morning, but they didn't start working on my car until after 9:30. It was finally done, but the guy who did the work didn't even bother to tell me that it was ready. Instead, he just went back to his office and texted for another 15-20 minutes. What was supposed to be a quick half-hour appointment ended up taking almost two hours.
To make matters worse, I went in to have a few paint touch-ups done for $95, but all they did was blob some paint on the spots. I feel like the guy who did the work took advantage of me because I'm a woman. A decent person would have told me that it was something I could have done myself for $10 with some touch-up paint.
When I went in to talk to the guy about the work he did, he said something like "you can't make a silk purse out of a pig's ear." I don't know what that means, but it made me feel like he was insulting my car. My car may not be new, but it's in good shape, and the dings that he filled in now stand out more than they did before he supposedly repaired them.
Overall, I'm very unhappy with the service I received at this place, and I will definitely not be going back there again. It's a shame because I was really hoping to find a good local place to take my car for repairs, but this was not it.
Yahoo Local Review: A Free and User-Friendly Resource for Finding Local Businesses and Services
Yahoo Local is a great place to find local businesses and services. I have used it many times to find restaurants, shops, and other places in my area. The website is easy to use and has a lot of information about each business, including reviews from other customers.
One thing I really like about Yahoo Local is that it is free to use. You don't have to pay anything to search for businesses or leave a review. This makes it a great resource for people who are on a budget or just want to save money.
Another great feature of Yahoo Local is that it is very user-friendly. The website is easy to navigate and the search function is very intuitive. You can search for businesses by name, category, or location, which makes it easy to find what you're looking for.
However, there are a few downsides to Yahoo Local. One issue is that some of the information on the website can be outdated or inaccurate. This is because businesses can change their information without updating their listing on Yahoo Local.
Another issue is that the website can be a bit slow at times. This can be frustrating if you're trying to find information quickly.
Overall, I would recommend Yahoo Local to anyone who is looking for local businesses and services. It's a great resource that is easy to use and free of charge. Just be aware that some of the information may not be up-to-date and the website can be a bit slow at times.
Warning: Sexual Harassment at Reserve at Regent Center, Lexington, NC - Southwood Realty Fails to Take Action
This place is the absolute worst! I'm a lady who lives at the Reserve at Regent Center in Lexington, NC all by my lonesome and I was sexually harassed by some other tenant at the pool in the ladies' bathroom on 9/21. I went through all the channels with the front office and the law. The law is doing their part, but Southwood ain't helping me none. They sent me a letter saying they ain't gonna do nothing to the tenant that sexually harassed me. He can still go to the pool! I done called their corporate office and left messages for Angela Strider, the Regional Director, but she ain't called me back none. I was sexually harassed by another tenant and this is the "CARE" I got. I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU DON'T MOVE INTO A SOUTHWOOD REALTY APARTMENT PROPERTY!

Horrible Experience with Beacon Plumbing: Overpriced, Untrustworthy, and Dishonest
I had a really bad experience with Beacon Plumbing. My neighbor and I share a sewer line and we had a back-up. We called Beacon Plumbing to fix it and they said it would cost about $3,600. But then they found more problems and suddenly the cost went up to almost $30,000! I tried to negotiate with them and got them to lower the price by $2,000. I even signed the paperwork they gave me, but they ignored it and put liens on both my property and my neighbor's.
It took a few weeks, but eventually they got paid almost all of the money they wanted. But they still wouldn't release the liens, even though they had gotten the extra $2,000 I had negotiated with them. They lied to me several times, including telling me that I didn't qualify for financing. But the real problem was that they had submitted two applications on my behalf, and the financing company declined one and accepted the other.
Overall, it was a really horrible experience. I wouldn't recommend Beacon Plumbing to anyone. The Customer Service Manager at this company is not trustworthy at all. If you need plumbing help, I suggest calling a different company.
Terrible Experience at Furniture City: Damaged, Missing, and Delayed Furniture with Poor Customer Service
My experience at Furniture City was absolutely terrible. I purchased my furniture two months ago and it was finally delivered yesterday, April 2nd. Unfortunately, some of the delivery drivers entered my home without wearing masks, which was very concerning. Out of the 10 pieces of furniture that I ordered, one is still on back-order, one was missing, three were damaged and needed to be replaced, and one could not be assembled due to missing hardware.
When I contacted Moe at Furniture City in Mission Viejo, he informed me that nothing could be done and that the piece would not be assembled for another 10 business days until the hardware was ordered. To make matters worse, the piece I ordered was purchased from Ashley's Furniture, which was not what I was expecting. Several employees told me that these types of issues happen all the time and that I should just accept it. I was shocked and disappointed to hear this.
I attempted to speak with someone at their Corporate Office, but was told that they do not have one. When I asked where their leadership works, I received no response. Finally, I was told that Furniture City does not inspect the product before it is shipped to the home. This is completely unacceptable and I would not recommend shopping at Furniture City to anyone.
Overall, my experience with Furniture City was a complete disaster. The lack of customer service and quality control is unacceptable. I hope that they take steps to improve their business practices in the future.
Terrible Experience at Super 1 Gas Station: Malfunctioning Pump and Poor Customer Service
I recently visited Super 1 gas station located at 3203 Independence cross street Parker 10-7 and had a terrible experience. I filled up my Volvo S60 with $12 worth of gas, but when I pulled away, the needle did not move. I immediately turned around to check with the clerk if they could check the pump. I showed him my receipt, but it appeared that nothing was in the tank. I asked if he could put a bag over the handle until it was checked to avoid any other customers getting duped. However, he was not willing to do any of the above.
I then requested the clerk to either let me pump from another pump or issue a refund and cover the pump. However, he was not willing to do any of the above and instead called the owner. The owner's solution was to call the Police so they could take a report, which made no sense to me. I waited for 30 minutes with groceries in the car while the Police arrived. I asked for the number or contact of the person that regulates the pumps, but none of the above was a solution, so I finally left.
The minimal act of preventing another customer from spending money on a malfunctioning pump was too big of a request for them. It was a very awful experience for me, especially since I am a handicap 66-year-old. I went to OT and put the same amount in and got 1/2 tank, which is about what I normally get. I try to support independent operators, but that was the last time I will visit Super 1 gas station.
Beware of Yahoo Local for Estate Sales: Unprofessional, Rude, and Ill-Tempered
Sahel Sabet, a local guide with 34 reviews, had a bad experience with Yahoo Local. He warns people to think twice before handing over their estate to this company to liquidate. According to Sahel, the company is extremely unprofessional, and the lady who manages the estate sales has serious anger management issues and mental health problems. She is highly aggressive and lashes out at customers when they ask her even the simplest of questions. Sahel also claims that she refers to the items she is selling as "worthless" and doesn't bother checking on what she has actually sold to customers. He advises people to be very wary about giving her any of their family's possessions to sell.
Allie Jlm also had a bad experience with Yahoo Local. During the estate sale, the woman running the sale was talking about the owners of the house and the circumstances. Allie found this very unprofessional and not very pleasant. She also thought that the prices were way too high for what they were selling.
Another person who had a bad experience with Yahoo Local is Tammie Phillips. Tammie claims that the owner of Golden Egg, the company that manages the estate sales, was extremely rude and ill-tempered. She priced furniture so high that after 2 days, most of it went unsold, and it was left to Tammie to handle their disposition. Tammie also claims that Golden Egg placed one of their paintings on her white sofa that left ugly black marks. One of their customers damaged the door to her bedroom. Tammie says that the owner of Golden Egg, refused to give her a list of the items sold and their sales price. In Tammie's opinion, Golden Egg is a Rotten Egg. They caused her extreme emotional stress and financial loss. She warns people not to use them for their estate sale.
In conclusion, Yahoo Local has received negative reviews from several people. They have been accused of being unprofessional, rude, and ill-tempered. They have also been accused of pricing items too high and causing emotional stress and financial loss to their customers. People are advised to be cautious when dealing with Yahoo Local and to consider other options before handing over their estate to them.
Avoid Yahoo Local for Car Service: Terrible Customer Service and Incompetence
I've been taking my car to these folks at Yahoo Local for about a year now, trying to get to the bottom of a slow leak in one of my tires. I brought it in most recently on August 11th, but since then, the tire has lost 12 PSI. I tried to make an appointment online, but their website was acting funky, so I sent them an email instead to let them know I'd be coming in on September 8th in the morning. They sent me a system-generated email, an email from a customer service representative, and even gave me a call to confirm that I was all set to come in.
So, I showed up at 8:50 AM on September 8th, only to find a sign on the door saying that they were closed for a company picnic! I was pretty confused, since there weren't any other cars waiting for service like there usually are on a Sunday. Apparently, these guys told everyone about the picnic except for me, even though they had three different chances to do so. I couldn't even call my wife to let her know not to pick me up, so it was a total waste of time and gas.
Honestly, I'm pretty ticked off about the whole thing. I've bought at least seven sets of tires from these guys, but after this experience, I don't think I'll ever buy from them again. And forget about bringing my car back to them to try and fix the tire - they seem too stupid to figure it out, and their customer service is just terrible.
So, if you're thinking about going to Yahoo Local for anything, my advice is to avoid them like the plague. These lazy idiots don't deserve your business, people!
Negative Experience with La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries: Beware of Policies and Hidden Fees
I recently had an experience with Yahoo Local, specifically with their local.yahoo.com website. Let me tell you, it was quite the ride!
I was searching for a new furniture store to check out and stumbled upon La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries. I decided to give them a try and purchased a mattress from them. Unfortunately, the wrong product was delivered to me. I tried to contact customer service, but because it was a mattress, they were not able to help me. I was frustrated and didn't know what to do.
I decided to reach out to the corporate office, but they also were not able to assist me. They did mention that if I had purchased a protection plan, I could return the mattress 365 days later if I slept on it for 31 days. I was not informed of this when I made my purchase, so I was out of luck.
I was even more upset when I found out that the only way to upgrade to a better mattress was to pay for a mattress protector and pillow from La-Z-Boy and pay another delivery charge. This was on top of the $150 delivery charge I had already paid. All of this just to upgrade to a mattress over $1,000.
As a senior on a limited income, I was not able to afford this. I felt like La-Z-Boy didn't care about my situation and was only interested in making more money.
To make matters worse, the final sale policy only showed up after I had already made my payment. This was not made clear to me before I made my purchase.
Overall, my experience with Yahoo Local and La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries was not a positive one. I would caution others to be aware of their policies and to make sure they fully understand what they are getting into before making a purchase.
Poor Service and Unprofessional Behavior at Yahoo Local Service Center
I had an appointment with Yahoo Local on Thursday, October 17th. Tammy, the service girl, gave me an appointment for the next day at 7 a.m. I arrived at 6:45 a.m. and at 7:05 a.m. someone came out to me and brought me inside. They told me that my service advisor was Anderson Pierre, but he wasn't in yet. They had me wait in his office for about 10 minutes until he showed up at around 7:10 a.m. I found his behavior to be very unprofessional and not very courteous.
I told Mr. Pierre that my 2019 Dodge Challenger was making a ticking noise on the right tire area when turning the wheel left in a circle. I had read online that this could possibly be a bad CV joint. He took my information and had a courtesy van take me home, which was about eight miles away.
At noon, I called Mr. Pierre to check on the status of my car. He told me that the car hadn't been brought in yet and said he would call me back in an hour. However, at 3 p.m., I still hadn't heard back from him, so I called again. He told me that the mechanic was going to drive it around and hadn't heard any noises yet. They hadn't even brought the car in or put it up on the lift to check underneath the vehicle, even though I had an appointment at 7 a.m. and it was now six to seven hours later.
I would not recommend going to this place. I didn't go to Massey Yardley in Plantation, where I bought the car, because they have horrible service too. I thought Yahoo Local would be a better choice, but apparently not. The service was horrible, and I would advise anyone to stay away from this place.
