YLighting Ripped off with return fees

I purchased 2 ceiling lamps for$426.00+tax. They were Gigantic for my island so I had to return them. The company sent me prepaid return labels to give me the impression that the postage was paid for. They then charged me $346.00 for return shipping and gave me a $112.00 refund out of the $426.00 +tax that I paid them. Horrible

Desired outcome: Make buyers aware of their tactics.

YLighting Light fixture

So I ordered a led light fixture and realized it doesnt dim with out a high pitched noise. I was told to replace the dimmer with an electronic ballast dimmer. That still didn't work.
So they gave me 25% off which was considerate of them.
Then months later I get an emil stating another fixture us on the way.
I called and explained I didn't order this fixture. He said it was no charge and not to worry.
So I received another fixture thinking that was nice of them for all my trouble.
2 weeks later they somehow forced my old credit card through to pay 1800 dollars.
I spend several days on the phone with their customer service dept to no avail and was last told a supervisor would call me back. That never happened.
So now the burden of shipping it back is on me and to add insult to injury I got an email saying if the package isn't packed properly I wouldn't get my refund. Need I say the box arrived barely in one piece.

YLighting Customer service, returns

The word Returns is an anathema to this company. That means there isn't any. They hear the word and run in the opposite direction. If you are buying and ready to install, they represent great products. But so do many other companies. And, they are nicer folks, and with better return policies.

Also, note, one and two star reviews are deleted from their comments board.

In short, a distributor fronting as a customer centric company. Another reason, they profess to offer knowledgeable sales people. Wrong, again. They sold me an inappropriate product for the space. Their description of the product I bought, and conversations with manufacturer is did not align.

YLighting Ceiling light by El Torrent

I bought a $3, 000 flush mount ceiling lamp. For starters, the lamp came slightly damaged, which wasn't their fault. They offered me 10% off to keep, which I accepted. However, once I had the electrician installed it, the dimmer didn't work. I called them and they were nice in the beginning trying to help me troubleshoot the issue. During this time, I had the electrician come out three times doing what they told me to do, but in the end, the electrician told me that this is a commercial light and uses 5 wires, while residential homes use 3 wires. So, when I called them to tell them this, they first said, I took the 10% off and accepted it. I had to remind them that was for the damage. After I overcame that, next they said it has been too long since I ordered the light, but then I told them that I have been in constant contact with them about this and I had to schedule the electrician three times to come out which takes time as well. In the end, they basically said that they sell residential and commercial lights and that I should have called them before ordering to confirm. The bottom line, this company will absolutely do anything to not refund you.

YLighting replacement led bulb

I began trying to get a replacement LED bulb for a light fixture in early Jan 2019. I was told it was actually under warranty and they would request a replacement from the manufacturer of the fixture. 3 weeks passed with no update so I once again called customer service. Again was told they would request a replacement. It is now 6 weeks since initial call and I have called several times and spoke with a customer service supervisor who then emailed me that a replacement fixture would be sent. 9 days since then and they are still telling me manufacturer has not even put in the order. They always promise to follow up, call back etc. no response to my email and no follow up calls or emails. I end up calling them and hear the same BS. I will be filing complaint soon with better business bureau and writing a letter to their corporate office. I have dates and names of all customer service people I've dealt with. Super nice on phone but never any results. Very very disappointed in their service and attention to follow up any problem.

YLighting ellisse lighting fixtures

We purchased over 10, 000 in lights that were then returned. We have proof of the return and who signed for it, yet Y Lighting has refused to give us a refund for over 6 months. The lights were new in boxes. Every time we call they say they're working on it, but have no information. It's incredibly frustrating. We will never do business with this company again.

YLighting tolomeo classic table lamp by artemide r086253

Ordered the table lamp on June 5th (Order Nr. Y10024008). Received two tracking numbers (one for the lamp and one for the bulb). Cost $ 320. Nothing was ever shipped and I paid for lamp and bulb. Tracking on UPS only stated that a "label was created".

Spoke today on 6/18 again to their inept customer service by phone and via chat and nothing was resolved. They refused to cancel the order with reason given that "it might probably be shipped out within the next few days or weeks".

Bad, bad company. No customer service and I get the feeling that I have been defrauded for that I fully paid for a lamp and after two weeks received nothing.

YLighting missing products

I ordered four lighting fixtures from YLighting. Only one was in the box. Our contractor didn't open it until after the official deadline to report missing or damaged items, but he photographed the packaging and it was obvious that four lights couldn't possibly fit, even thought the packing label said they were all included. They were worth almost $1, 000. I called and e-mailed repeatedly for several weeks. Zero response. I understand that we had no legal recourse since technically we were past the deadline, but we're good customers who have bought things from them for years. I wouldn't be so mad if they'd had the minimal courtesy to call me back. I will never buy anything from them again.

YLighting Don't order from them!

I'm so angry. They sent my order to an absolutely wrong address. How could you mess it up? How did it actually happen, guys?
Thank god, those people who received my parcel didn't accept it and sent it back.
Your website never sent me any notification about my order being delivered or whatever else. So I had to call them and ask them for update information and when they are going to send my order to the right address. I talked to 5 people and they told me different stories.
Gosh, what a mess. Happily, I think I succeed and they will finally send my package, and I really hope that it will be the right address.
If not, I will write another complaint.

YLighting lamp and ylighting customer "service."

The lamp I ordered it August 14, Order Number 2021056. When they finally delivered it, it had missing parts. I contacted YLighting by email and phone. On September 5, I sent photos of the lamp with missing parts as requested. I recontacted them September 18 via email. I called Sheena King, Return Specialist Lead, Phone: [protected]. Twice. And emailed her as she had responded to my email. She failed to return the emails or calls. I called. The customer "service" person was blasé, seemingly uncaring, and I asked to speak to a supervisor. He said, after a wait, that the supervisor would call me back. No call. I sent an email back to krissanen.[protected]@ylighting.com, the person I spoke to. No call back. I will never do business with Ylighting again, and that's too bad given I have ordered quite a few things from them before. I am disgusted with this company.

They seem not to have found out that they are EASILY replaceable. They don't call back. They don't respond to emails. They don't apologize in any sincere way.

YLighting Service

I ordered two light fixtures on January 20, 2016 . The website stated they were in stock and would be shipped in a few days . When I checked the status of my order on line, I noticed that the ship date had been delayed. This occurred twice more, now with no date given . I sent an email expressing my frustration and requesting the ship date. I received a message stating that once shipped, the order would take 5-7 days to reach me. But no ship date was given!
Finally, I called the company and after waiting 30 minutes to speak to someone, was told they would have to get back to me with the ship date, since the department that handled that information was gone for the day.
When I did not hear back, I called again and was told that the order status read cancelled! Since I was speaking to the person who was going to get back to me, he knew that I did not cancel the order nor did I receive an email telling me that it had been cancelled. I stayed on the line while he investigated the cause and reported back that that particular light fixture had been discontinued.
I had to request the email stating that the order was cancelled and that I would be issued a refund ( and that I would have to wait 5-7 business days to receive it!)
Well the time has passed and no refund. I called Paypal and they reported that a refund had not been initiated.
Just got off the phone with Y lighting. Again, the department that handles refunds is gone for the day.
All they say is sorry - in a robotic fashion - and continue to do nothing while they hold on to my money. I have opened a dispute viaPaypal and will eventually be reimbursed, but would advise consumers to avoid this unscrupulous company.

YLighting They reply to my request

I ordered lights from the company www.ylighting.com. I was disappointed, ‘coz the seller delivered the order, but it worked only two months. After that it stopped to work. No idea what happened. I decided to change the lights or asked for compensation, ‘coz something was wrong. I contacted the seller and explained everything, but he told to wait, ‘coz he needed to contact the manager. After that I haven’t received any reply from them. So be careful if you use this website or leave comments if you have horrible experience with this seller.

YLighting slow customer service to return items

I bought two light fixtures on line. When I received them I discovered I'd ordered the wrong size so requested authorization to return. Although slow in providing it, I did eventually receive authorization to return the item, at my expense. Since I bought two fixtures to coordinate I decided to return the second also so requested second authorization number to return it. Ylighting gives only 10 days to return for full refund (you pay return shipping). It has been 5 days and still I have received no authorization to return second item. They are really fast and efficient getting your money. . . try getting it back. I think Ylighting wants to exceed 10 days so they can rip you off. Stay away from this site. Very poor business practices.

I ordered a lamp. After a LONG delay, it came with missing parts. YLighting promised to follow up. They then refused to return emails, refused to return promised calls from supervisors, spoke in a sullen and uncaring manner, and here we are September 20, and I'm STILL waiting. For the call back. YLighting seems not to have understood that there are MANY alternatives to their business. And I do NOT intend to purchase here until they call back and apologize and make this right. Unbelievably bad customer service.

YLighting No Customer Service

Ordered on line and they charged my credit card immediately. No communication for over a week. Sent e-mail asking for status and was told they were checking manufacturer availability. No communication for two weeks. Sent e-mail asking for status. No answer. The lamps arrived needing direct signature. Afterwards received an e-mail saying the lamps were being shipped. The lamps could not be mated to the pin kits because of how an electronic transformer had been attached to the back of the lamp. Wrote the manufacturer and Y Lighting. The manufacturer responded the same day. Y Lighting has never responded! Y Lighting obviously doesn't carry any stock or accept any responsibility. They just act as the middle man for the purchase. They sell high end lights such as Luceplan, Holtkoetter, Leucos, Artemide and many others but they have low end service.
