On April 16, I saw a YouMail CEO interview and was intrigued by the app excitement
On April 16, I watched an interview with the YouMail CEO, and their enthusiasm for the app was infectious, so I decided to try it. However, my phone is now completely dysfunctional. I can't receive any calls. After spending the morning on the phone with customer support to no avail, I'm frustrated. The app has hijacked my phone's functionality. I'm off to the Apple store, hoping for a resolution. This company has let me down immensely.
When it's working, it seems to work fine
When it's working, it seems to work fine. But there have been a lot of times when it's down during business hours, and my calls go unanswered. They never give any explanation for the outages, they just keep happening. I've been a customer for many years, even before they started charging. But now that they're charging, the prices keep going up while the service keeps getting worse. I'm not sure if I'll continue using them for much longer. Ever since they went commercial, they've become unreliable with no explanation for all the outages.
Coverage stopped on 7/11 even though I paid through 11/05
Coverage stopped on 7/11 even though I paid through 11/05. I spent almost an hour on the phone with customer service and they told me that the interruption was probably because of my darn updates. Live support, after 30 minutes on hold, told me to go on Youmail and first unenscribe then reenscribe to get the missing messages. The instructions didn't work, so I called back and got put on hold and hung up on multiple times. This is a scam. I want my money back and Youmail taken off the legit Android apps.
These guys are a total joke!
These guys are a total joke! If you pay for the upgraded service, you're supposed to get "Priority Support." Well, good luck reaching a human being! Maybe, if you're lucky, you'll get through 1 out of 10 tries. Their answering system promises to call you back shortly if you leave your name and number, but that only happens about 3 out of 10 times. And when they do call back, it takes them anywhere between 4 hours and 3 days. I've been a business owner since 1996, and I've never seen a group that cares so little about their customers or providing any kind of customer service. I was shocked to see that they have an A- rating on ComplaintsBoard.com, but then I found out that customer reviews don't count. What kind of practice is that? Anyway, the app is okay and mostly does what they claim, but if you want a company that actually gives a damn about its customers, this is definitely not the one!

They charged me *** without notice and I can't get a hold of anyone on their automated phone, it's useless
They charged me *** without notice and I can't get a hold of anyone on their automated phone, it's useless. When I went into my account, the help was a BOT. I think this is a scam where people can't cancel and or get a refund.
I downloaded the YouMail app, but now it's blocking all my contacts
I downloaded the YouMail app, but now it's blocking all my contacts. So, I wanted to cancel my account, but their website doesn't really work. It won't send me the code for cancellation. I tried calling the company four times, but each time I was on hold for 30 minutes and got cut off.
I unsubscribed from YouMail and I'm still having problems receiving certain phone calls from doctor offices and friends
I unsubscribed from YouMail and I'm still having problems receiving certain phone calls from doctor offices and friends. This is frustrating. People tell me that their calls go straight to voicemail or that the call is blocked or not allowed. I have trouble contacting YouMail to release my cell number from their account that I had.

I tried the free trial of YouMail.com, but after 2 days, I wanted to cancel my account
I tried the free trial of YouMail.com, but after 2 days, I wanted to cancel my account. I went to their website to cancel, but it didn't work for me. I followed the directions they provided, but the directions didn't give me the option to cancel. I tried everything to cancel. Can someone please help me?
Youmail is charging my credit card $17.99 a month for a service I never asked for
Youmail is charging my credit card $17.99 a month for a service I never asked for. I don't know what it is or what it does. I'm being scammed and can't find anyone to complain to or turn it off. The website wants me to sign up just to sign in, and then go to 'settings' to deactivate youmail. What a scam. I'll contact my bank tomorrow to get rid of these charges, but others should know about this scam.
I got a voicemail service from YouMail Inc and when they tried to renew it, I canceled it
I got a voicemail service from YouMail Inc and when they tried to renew it, I canceled it. They canceled the service and gave me a code to disconnect the voicemail. The MMI code ##***# didn't work. I emailed them three times to get a working code, but all I got from the chat was to get a new membership. My carrier (T-Mobile) can't do anything to disconnect their service. Youmail doesn't answer their customer service number. After going online to see what else I can do, I see many other people are having the same issue.
I got a problem with my voicemail
I got a problem with my voicemail. I've called many times, but no one answers or it just hangs up. I closed my account, or at least I think I did. Then they told me I need to deactivate it to go back to my old voicemail. Now I guess I have to open the account again to follow the steps to deactivate, which I found online. But now I can't log in to do anything, and my voicemail isn't working. I want them to please close and deactivate this so I can go back to my original voicemail today. I don't know how to do this, and it won't let me in anyway. It's really frustrating.
I didn't even know, but YouMail took over my voicemail and sent my calls to a Youmail voicemail
I didn't even know, but YouMail took over my voicemail and sent my calls to a Youmail voicemail. My calls went to *** for over 5 months. Since I hardly ever get voicemails, I thought that when I missed calls, the callers just didn't want to leave a voicemail. It wasn't until today that I realized something was off when a caller said they left me a voicemail the day before. I've NEVER downloaded the Youmail app, and if this company lets people make accounts with any phone number OR if they're involved in some kind of scam, it needs to be looked into. I looked online and there have been lots of complaints about fraud and hijacked voicemails.
YouMail Inc
YouMail Inc. is a cool app that gives you free protection against spam and annoying ROBO calls. So, today I opened the app and guess what? A screen popped up and totally locked my phone. I couldn't escape from that page, no matter what I tried. The only way out was to tap on "Learn more." But guess what? That took me to a page where they already had a dollar amount selected for some subscription. And guess what again? I couldn't leave that page until I checked out that dollar amount. I even tried swiping the page away, but no luck. So, I had to go all the way and shut my phone down completely. That actually did the trick. And you know what I did next? I deleted that app, no questions asked. But wait, the story doesn't end there. I wasted a whole 40 minutes with those folks at ***, trying to restore my precious voicemail. Can you believe it? We had to reset my phone just to get rid of YouMail. And guess what? Even *** couldn't disconnect that darn app. It was like dealing with a sneaky virus that holds your phone hostage until you cough up some cash. Can you believe the nerve?
YouMail, **** done messed up by puttin' my name and phone number on their dang website without askin' me first
YouMail, *** done messed up by puttin' my name and phone number on their dang website without askin' me first. The website says I gotta make an account to opt out, but that ain't right. It's against the law, ya know? They should make it clear how to opt out without jumpin' through hoops. I want YouMail, *** to take down my name, ***, and phone number *** from their website pronto. And not just that, I want 'em to scrub my info from their database, server, and all that jazz so nobody can find it. I ain't givin' YouMail, *** permission to let folks search for me using my contact info. They better do all this right away or I'm takin' 'em to court and askin' for some serious legal action, includin' makin' 'em pay my lawyer fees.
YouMail got its message system on my phone voicemail system through deception and fraud
YouMail got its message system on my phone voicemail system through deception and fraud. My number is ***. My provider is TMobile, which can't erase the YouMail's message system from phone.. I downloaded the YouMail app. It didn't work well and had terrible audio problems. The service is free with upgrades for fee. I did not agree to anything but free. After about 30 minutes of trying YouMail out, I uninstalled the YouMail app. I complained to YouMail about its message still being on my voicemail system. I can't remove. It's codes for erasing didn't work. I'm now unable to use the voicemail system. YouMail has no customer service to correct the problem by phone or otherwise. This is false advertising and deception. I demand that YouMail remove its message from my TMobile number. I've found many complaints about the same problem online about YouMail.
This youmail app is just a Spam service that's been hijacking my biz voicemail for 4 months now
This youmail app is just a Spam service that's been hijacking my biz voicemail for 4 months now. They don't clearly say in their terms and conditions that they're taking over your service provider's voicemail settings or how to fix it. When I logged in, I couldn't remember my password and all the password reset links they sent were broken. I can't cancel my account and it's hurting my biz. I work in mental health and need access to my voicemails for obvious reasons. I followed the company's steps to deactivate my account and unlink my voicemail, but I still can't get voicemails. The account deactivation links go nowhere or just keep me waiting with a spinning circle for over an hour and the account is still active. It's costing my biz money and affecting my clients' lives. If this doesn't get fixed, I'll take legal action against the company.
My cellfone voice mail has been hacked twice this fiscal year
My cellfone voice mail has been hacked twice this fiscal year. First time on September, and now on ending October to November. I contacted Verizon, and was told, someone copy part of my email address, and created an email, then linked my voicemails to Youmail. Today, Monday, November 4th, I contacted Verizon again. My cellphone voicemails was linked again to Youmail. I have contacted Youmail support via email, since via phone is impossible. I left a voicemail and never received a call back. When I received a replied email, it stated the following instructions: -Dial the code like you are making a phone -Be sure to include the asterisk-Dial: *73 At no time Youmail replied to my desperation need for help, to delete the fictitious email, so the hacker will not link again my cellphone voicemail to Youmail fictitious mail acct. I am an despair. I am a single mom, survivor from domestic violence in fear, because someone hacked my voicemail twice within three months and Youmail did not acknowledge my well explained email, but instead ignored it. I plead for your support and help.
