Pick n Pay reviews and complaints 1

For decades now I have been a regular customer at Pick n Pay, Gardens Centre in Cape Town. One of the oldest and most expensive of the supermarkets in town, I have gotten to know many people working there. Sadly, nowadays we customers just roll our eyes at each other while patiently waiting to be served by people who are busy having social gatherings in the sweets isle, busy figuring out how to operate the till, busy chatting on the shampoo section, busy flirting in the appliance isle. Busy, busy, busy people. These staff members, slowly strolling through the isles, blocking trolleys as if it is part of their job description, seem to have no aim or drive, most certainly they feel no obligation to serve their customers. They clickclack amongst each other, discussing customers, oblivious that we understand what they are saying. The staff that run about, getting things done are few but familiar faces. The big old lumbering ones with [censored]ty attitude are not from around here. We have been standing in line, patiently taking the growing passive aggressive attitude for years now and enough is enough. We want PnP staff appointed from within our own community. We want respect. We want standards and values of the old PnP days upheld. We do not want to feel like unwelcome refugees in our own local store.
