I looked at many solar company before I pick Zenernet
I looked at many solar company before I pick Zenernet. I was sold on how informed they were. My salesperson was very helpful and informed me how long the project should take. I signed the paperwork in December and was told that they would be installed by March 2022. I was happy with that since my financing wasn't going to start until August which would have given me a few months of no utility bills. My panels did not get installed until May 2022. But they where installed incorrectly so they had to be disconnected. It is now September and I have made two payment plus paying my utility company. I've have been giving three different project managers and have been told they will take care of me. It should not take 10 months to install solar panels and get them to produce power. I am losing the best months to make energy with solar.

I am sorry to say this is the worst company ever, that I have had to deal with on any level
I am sorry to say this is the worst company ever, that I have had to deal with on any level. Started with sales man in November,2021, promised it would be done by end of March, 2022. Now August 8th, 2022. Unbelievable ineptness or follow thru on all 8 levels of management I have dealt with. They told me over 3 months ago they needed 80% down in order to get the materials for the job according to the electrical contractor who was doing the install. They have my money for over 3 months and forget to even keep me updated as to what is going on, or what is the next step. The words are undescribable to the lack of communication within this company. Sales were great to deal with, but when they got your money, everything goes SOUTH very quickly. Buyer beware of this company and run away as fast as you can. Very sad that a company can even operate at this low of a level.

I started the process of getting solar installed in July. Signed the contract in August. I am still waiting on completion... I've been unable to reach any one of the 5 project managers that I've been assigned and I currently have a half installed, inoperable system. Buying from Zenernet has been a terrible and very costly experience.
I worked at Zenernet for two months, it's chaotic and run by young incompetent managers, in essence it's disorganized and poorly run. While I was there management was constantly changing the playbook for customer service and was still trying to figure out how to run the business. They get the vast majority of their 5 star reviews after the sales presentation, not after the work is completed. In fact sales reps are comped on getting 5 star reviews. Zenernet has not paid me for my sales yet and they have missed the past two pay periods, I believe they are trying to not pay my commissions. Stay far away from this company as an employee or a customer.
Wish I'd heeded the negative reviews before getting involved with Zenernet
Wish I'd heeded the negative reviews before getting involved with Zenernet. The sales process was generally good but there were indicators from the beginning...they had used an incorrect address to give me first specs, several items on the contract were also incorrect. But it really went downhill once I paid my deposit. Had to prod to get any action to keep the process rolling. Had 2 different project managers in the span of 3 weeks - and the *** who quit the company didn't do any handoff to the incoming .Still, I hung in until my neighbors who are further down the installation road with Zenernet gave me a heads up that they're deeply disappointed they went with Zenernet, suggesting I get out while I still can. I decided to not move forward and informed both my Sales and Project Managers of this by phone and email. Never got a response (no surprise there), and haven't received a refund for my deposit of $1,000. Still hoping...

Over committed, under delivered. The WORST experience ever. After 5 months of promises they finally admitted that they couldn't deliver what was promised. I'm still trying to get my deposit returned.
This project is still in process but the experience has not been a good one so far. Like others have stated, my experience with the sales person was fantastic but once it was passed off to a project manager, the communication has been poor. My permits hit a snag two weeks ago. I found this out from the county rather than Zenernet. I have been trying to contact Zenernet for 2 weeks to discuss next step but have gotten no response. This is especially concerning given that I was given a cash price and paid up front. The only person who has responded was the sales person who informed my there was a new project manager and he asked her to reach out to me. I've sent this new project manager several emails with no response. Zenernet has had my money for two months and I've heard very little from them since.
I had solar installed in early June
I had solar installed in early June. The inspection failed due to deviations from the plans and no grounding on several panels. ***, the project manager, who doesnt make contact to update unless I contact her has not made an attempt to get the revised plans sent over to the city for approval and a new inspection. It has been 2 weeks and your company hasnt revised and approved new plans. I am coming up on my first payment august 9 and will also have a payment with the electric company. Who will reimburse me for this? I have contacted the city and they advised the new plans have yet to be submitted and that once the plans are in they can come out the next day for a new inspection. This company is HORRIBLE with customer updates, service and contact. The sales rep assured me it would be a smooth process and was in contact up until the panels went in and he got paid. Do not use this company. I fear for what other nonsense lies ahead once the solar gets activated, if it ever does. Going *** means they go green with money from the suckers like me!

My solar project started in September and finally completed in end of March
My solar project started in September and finally completed in end of March . After 6 months it's up and running now. In the beginning everything going well as schedule. System was plan to be ready by Nov 2020. They supposed to upgrade my electric panel during installation. However, *** not aware about this changes and they install only panels on my roof during that visit. I called Zenernet about this issue , and find out that both parties not commutated about my upgrade. I spoke to manager at zenernet and she gave me some story about wiring in my box, instead of accepting their mistake (being not communicated to installer). After that, I spoke to chef operation officer and he told me they will have to apply for new permit and it will push back for another month (by Dec.). New upgrade installation done in Feb 2021 and in March my system started. I would give 0 star for zenernet leadership team, because I'm very disappointed the why they handle my solar project, and I lose money for 4 months with my electric ***. However, I would like to give each star to *** and *** They're called me back quickly every time i left massage for them and get me any updates they had. Both of them are very friendly and helpful throw out this 6 months project.
I wouldnt recommend going with this solar company
I wouldnt recommend going with this solar company. The salesperson was good ( how they get you roped in) but everything went downhill after we signed the contract. The transparency the salesman spoke about is nonexistent along with their communication skills My husband and I started this endeavor in August and are still waiting for it to be completed. The panels are installed and now they say they need to get the permit from the County to proceed with the inspection which makes no sense since the panels are on the roof. I picked up the permits (took 10 minutes) myself and got the ball rolling for the inspection by calling the installer . I have 4 holes in my ceiling (flat roof) that have yet to be addressed even though my husband sent pictures to the installer. Zenernets lack of communication is an understatement! Had we known what a disappointment this company is we would have continued researching other companies. In their good reviews its from the beginning stage praising the salesperson. After that, most all the other reviews arent good. Dont bother contacting management. I did and he *** never responded to any emails. He left the project manager to handle the issue and she just made excuses and excuses which he was ccd on the emails. Very, very poor customer service. They tell you what you want to hear but do not follow through. We truly thought this was a reputable company. Buyer beware if you use this company!

My initial conversation to purchase solar from Zenernet was in early Nov *** early May
My initial conversation to purchase solar from Zenernet was in early Nov *** early May . When I spoke with the salesperson at the beginning of the process I was told that all of the permitting would be handled by early January and then install would occur in the first half of January. Roofers showed up in early January and prepped my roof for the solar panels. Solar panels were finally installed in March, my solar was approved in early May and the Spanish tiles on my roof were put back in early May. A big part of the issue was that the permitting did not begin until well after the roof was prepped in January. This was not consistent with the communicated plan at the beginning and resulted in my roof sitting there with many of its tiles removed for several months. Big efforts were made, including at senior levels of Zenernet, to expedite the process as much as possible starting in March and this helped. However, the customer experience would be significantly improved if there was better communication upfront regarding the specific details and steps of the permitting and installation process. If I would have been told solar would be live in early May and if my roof would be been prepped after the permitting occurred, I would have been much less frustrated. My experience at the end of the process has improved with the company working hard to make me happy and to ensure my solar is running well.
My initial good experience with Zenernet's sales team soured due to poor follow-up.
I thoroughly researched before choosing Zenernet and had a positive start with the sales team. The installation on my roof went well, but a part from the utility company was needed to connect to the grid. I paid in full in November for the tax credit, but since then, connection delays have persisted. The utility company is partly to blame, but Zenernet's communication has been disappointing. With frequent project manager changes and inadequate responses, I've had to prod the utility company myself. Despite being able to handle delays, the customer service has been frustrating. As someone who runs a global sales organization, I find this treatment unacceptable. My previous experience with Sunrun was smoother. It's regrettable to write this review after investing over $20K, but others should be cautious with Zenernet. I will update if my installation is ever completed.

Other than their helpful lead electrical inspector, this company is poorly managed
Other than their lead electrical inspector, who is very helpful and knowledgeable, this company is operated by incompetent people who don't care about their customers or the quality of their work. They do have excellent sales staff who are helpful, great at what they do, and very efficient at taking your money. Otherwise, these people are dangerously incompetent and shouldn't be allowed to compete in the solar industry. I imagine they have better reviews/success in other geographical regions, but stay away from Zenernet if you live in the area they are expanding into. They lack the infrastructure to properly execute jobs. My panels were installed incorrectly, facing the wrong direction, with faulty wiring and bent connector pins. Despite passing inspection, I was left with a useless system until I convinced my city inspector to reverse the decision. The design was made without an engineer's site visit, resulting in panels placed too close, causing shading and reduced efficiency. After completing the job, they left utility lines dangling, holes in the walls, a disassembled electrical box, trashed my yard and my neighbor's with debris they didn't clean up. Please heed the warnings and stay away. My experience has been better than most, which is concerning.

Our experience has been a nightmare!
Our experience has been a nightmare! I do NOT recommend anyone utilize this company, not even my worst enemy. Our journey began in October with their sales team. Sales, of course that went well...we took the bait. After many delays (Zenernet was blaming our city permitting office even though the city showed us proof that the ball drop was from Zenernet) our solar was installed March . Yup, 4 months after signing a contract. After it was installed, we had to have the fire *** come out two different times because of failed inspections. So, we actually didn't have solar power until the end of March , almost 5 months after signing the contract. More recently we had a power outage in early December . The outage caused damage to our panels so we called Zenernet. A contractor came out from *** electric to troubleshoot. He put in a call to have the parts ordered to get our solar up and running again. We heard NOTHING until the end of January after several attempts to contact Zenernet's customer service, including the *** JP and COO ***. Both gentlemen were involved very early on with the permitting issues as stated earlier. It took until just last week, mid February, for Zenernet to effeciently supply the parts ordered by *** Electric back in December to get our panels working effeciently again...another2.5 months without efficient solar power. We are still awaiting a useage audit report which was requested Mid January as we are still receiving utility bills from our electric company. I fear soon we will be seeking legal council and are prepared to do so. Whatever you do, save yourself the headache and call someone else!

Never, never, never use this company!
Never, never, never use this company! I could never recommend Zenernet. *** is a great salesman and very informative. Everything else has been a disaster. We signed our contract more than a year ago, in September . Big mistake. After an initial flurry of planning and design, we ceased to hear from our first project manage in late November. Despite repeated efforts to contact her, or anyone at Zenernet, no progress was made until early March, when we had an hour-long phone call with someone who told us our first project manager had been fired, and the contract and plans for our system lost. After that phone call, it took all of two days for the County to approve the plan. When their subcontractor, SunCapital, finally arrived, they came untrained if at all. They usually lack the equipment, materials, or know-how to perform the job at hand. I lent them my tools because they didn't have them. Many times they did not come on days when they had promised to. They left their lunch garbage, lumber, and cement bags on-site, and screws in the driveway. We waited weeks and I finally picked up after them. Our ground-mounted system failed inspection FIVE TIMES. The Enphase tracking system promised in their literature still doesnt function correctly. The original estimated date of completion stated in the contract was to be Dec 1 of 2021 (last year). It is now nearly 11 months later. Zenernet finally told us, after dozens of calls and emails to them, that they couldnt finish the job. We have decided, for our own mental health, to give up on Zenernet. Looking back on this, I think we should have sued them. Thats what we get for treating people decently. Please dont be fooled by their slick website graphics and informative salespeople. I could never recommend Zenernet to anyone. Ever.

TL;DR: It took over a year to get my solar panel system installed and activated, and it only got completed that quickly because I stepped in and managed the project myself when Zenernet wouldn't.I signed a contract with Zenernet for a solar panel installation in August, based on fantastic reviews for customer service and being rated as one of the best solar companies to work with. Additionally, Zenernet offered Tier 1 panels. We weren't planning to finance the system, so there were no issues with banks, etc. Our original estimated installation date was the week of November 22.After signing the contract with Zenernet and approving the final design, we were waiting for the permit to install the system from the city. It was taking a long time and our estimated install date came and passed. I had a Zenernet project manager calling me weekly to give me an update that amounted to "still waiting for the permit" for about 5 or 6 weeks until I decided to investigate myself. A five minute *** search brought me to my city's permit website. I looked it up and the project permit was rejected by the city almost immediately after Zenernet filed it due to it being filed under the wrong category (it was filed under "electrical" instead of "solar"). I called Zenernet to tell them about the issue and they said that they had already fixed it and re-filed the application but I didn't see that on the permitting website. I looked a few hours after talking to Zenernet, and what do you know, there was a brand new application filed under the correct category. Oh well.Several weeks and months passed with various reasons for not making any progress. I got an email from Zenernet saying that I was being assigned a single project manager to be my single point of contact as several customers had complained about having to communicate with multiple contacts at Zenernet.
Working with Zenernet to add solar to our home was an absolutely horrible experience
Working with Zenernet to add solar to our home was an absolutely horrible experience. We started the process in July , working with the Sales *** which was the only positive part of the experience. After *** passed it off to the team to start the actual process, the experience went down hill fast. Zenernet did nothing they promised. We were shuffled between 3 or 4 different project managers, none of which answered our emails or followed . *** December, I notified the company I wished to cancel our contract as nothing had been completed and communication had been non-existent. They finally responded and promised to make our project a "priority". Being hopeful and stupid, I agreed to let them continue. In January 2022, Zenernet sent out an email to all of its customers apologizing for the lack of customer service and lack of communication, only to continue with the same lack of communication and customer service that they promised to improve. I had to send multiple emails to multiple people to get replies to our questions and follow *** In February, panels were finally installed, taking many emails to finally make that happen. Of course, as is to be expected, the project failed inspection multiple times and even after it finally passed, we still had a non-working system. Every request for communication had to be sent multiple times in order to get a response. At this point, we were making payments on the solar loan while we still did not have *** May 12, 2022 Zenernet finally had the instal company come out and fix the system. We have been operating the system for just under a month. I regret that I ever contacted Zenernet and should have gone with any other company because I can not imagine we could have been treated any worse by anybody else. For as much money as we paid, I expected much better service and Zenernet is by far, the worst company I have ever done business with.

I revied 5 different solar power suppliers in my area
I revied 5 different solar power suppliers in my area. I looked at reviews Cost per watt, Complaintsboard.com references etc, and spent two weeks reviewing my options. Eventually, in late august, I decide that Zernernet would be my supplier of choice, and signed an agreement in august. At that time, I was told that typical installations would take about 90 days. At that time, I hoped to get the 2021 solar tax rebates on my 2021 tax filing. By signing in august, I assumed the system would be installed by thanksgiving. When I signed my paperwork, I was told I needed to add a new switch panel in my basement, at a cost of 2000$.Well, as I waited I got various Emails that this, or that project manager had taken over my project. 30 days came and went, 60 days came and went, 90 days came and went.In mid-December I received an E mail giving me a copy of the drawings Zenernets engineers had produced for my job, and submitted to my utility for approval.December, 120 days, came and went, with a new project manager.January, 150 days came, and went. On February 14, 2022, I received a phone call, by my local installer, that he wished to install my system the next day, Tuesday Feb 15, 2022. No notice, call or E Mail by Zenernet, at all. The system was installed in one day. More waiting, and waiting. Another Project manager, I think. On March 9, I received a phone call from ***, an inspector for Zenernet, that Saint *** city was sending an inspector to review and approve my installation. At that time I noticed , the extra fuse box I paid about 2000$ for was not installed, and I asked the Zenernet representative to not this on his review.I notified my Project manager I needed a refund for the missing panel. On Friday, March 11, I contacted my local utility, about applying for my utility solar rebate. Then a surprise, a BIG surprise, my system design drawings had been rejected in December, with a request for drawing revisions to be made. I Immediately contacted my project

Signed the contract with Zenernet in the first week of May and still do not have a working system over 5 months later
Signed the contract with Zenernet in the first week of May and still do not have a working system over 5 months later. The sales experience was positive with the salesperson being very responsive when creating my proposal. But that was the only positive experience. Since then, it has been nothing but delays, poor communication, screwups and apathy from Zenernet. In choosing Zenernet you are then dealing with two separate companies Zenernet and whatever installer they choose. The first indication was a letter I received from the installer notifying me that they could place a lien against my property if they were not paid by Zenernet. The installer, Ecobright, was also located > 300 miles away from my home, so everything took a long time to schedule. The inspection took weeks to get scheduled after the install. On the first attempt the inspection failed due to incorrect electrical work. The 2nd inspection was scheduled for two weeks later. The inspector showed up, but the installer was nowhere to be found. On the third attempt the inspection failed yet again because the plans were wrong. That was ~2 weeks ago, and the 4th attempt has yet to be scheduled. It behooves me why a company that is in the Solar business cant seem to get things right. When emailing the project coordinator and the installer I often received no responses. The project coordinator was replaced with someone who at least returns emails however nothing has improved. At one point in this saga, I was told by the installer that the installation was complete. This was confirmed by the project coordinator. The installer then showed up two weeks later unannounced to finish the installation which was news to me. I had to cancel my plans so the installer could get into my house. Zenernet was completely clueless of the status of what was going on with the installation. If you want to have a painless experience with Solar, I suggest you look elsewhere. In fact, I have friends who started Solar contracts with other companies such as Sunrun later than I did. Their systems have already been in operation for several weeks. I sit waiting with an expensive boat anchor on my roof with nothing but excuses from Zenernet. I am sure I will get a stock I am sorry you had a bad experience message from Zenernet in response to this. But that is what I would expect. Words but no actions.

I would start of by saying that I wish I would have chosen another solar company to begin with
I would start of by saying that I wish I would have chosen another solar company to begin with. It has been almost 7 months and my solar project is still in a hanging status. I chose to go solar because I wanted to save money but its the reversal in my current situation By doing business with zenernet my costs has vastly increased. I am making payments for both my electricity bills and simultaneously making the payments for financing this project.Additionally, the organization as a whole employs big talkers with lazy hands. Before I even sign the contract, they promised that in the events my solar panels are installed but not in operational following 60 days after my payments are due, I will be reimbursed for my electricity bills. Hence, it has been more than a month and no signs of any refunds as yet. Also, through my personal research, I recently found out that this company installed panels without getting approvals to its proper size etc by my electricity company. I highly believe that they installed the panels on the rooftop of my house so that per contract, upon panel installation, it will activate my payments. Since, I live in CA, Ive consulted various attorneys who has advised me that such incidences can open a portal of legal suits for this company in many aspects because through deceit they had directly caused me additional financial burden and Including my inability to carry out any additional repair work on my rooftop since the panels are laying there for almost two months without any inspection and its not in operation at this time. The panels should not have been installed without proper authorization of its correct sizing by my electricity provider, SMUD. I highly regret by doing business with this company. My neighbors project was completed with 2 months because they chose a better solar company.

I paid for solar services and the project was not even started. In my consultation June 2022, we discussed my top priority of completing the project by December 2022.In discussions with the company, I was lead to believe my project would start November 2022 and finish in approximately 2 weeks.I paid for the project in full in October and then i did not receive any updates. I have called and emailed multiple times with no response.I looked online and the main office is listed as permanently closed on *** This is very worrisome and I fear my funds have simply been taken.I am having trouble with my banks to recover my payment because they say i authorized them. With no response from the company, i am not sure what to do.
We agreed to purchase solar panels and a backup battery system from Zenernet at the end of last year. We have paid a total of $35,153 after being told the installation would happen on November 7th. The installation never happened. Zenernet will not respond to multiple phone calls or emails. We're concerned the business has permanently closed and will not refund our >$35K or install the solar system.
We contracted with Zenernet to provide solar for our home in June. We had numerous communication issues with them but on Sept 16, 2022 our solar was partially installed. The install team stated they had to leave emergently and installation was not completed. We attempted numerous times to get install completed by phone, email, text but no response from Zenernet. We received a notice of a lien by the materials company stating they were not paid for the materials and a lien was being placed on our home with the threat of forclosure. We have spoken to the finance company *** because payments are due. We have no resolution at this time. We are seniors on a fixed income and can't afford to pay for something that can't be used
July 2022 first payment $1,000. October 17 second payment $17,200. Checks were for new solar system. Since second payment was made no one will answer. And headquarters number is disconnected.
Let me start by saying my experience with their sales person was great
Let me start by saying my experience with their sales person was great. However, Once I signed the contract in April and paid in full in May, i stopped being able to get in contact with them consistently. By October and I had only been able to get a hold of someone once in the previous 3 months. They have cycled me through 3 project managers, none of whom returned my calls or emails. The LA County permit office asked them to redesign the layout in July. I had to find this out myself by going down to the permit office. It took me several weeks to get ahold of anyone at that point and inform them that they needed to resubmit a new design (according to the permit office, they had already been informed). Then once I finally did that, it took them 2 months to get me the new layout that simply required them to move a few of the panels to a different section of the roof (in the interim, I was not able to get ahold of anyone for updates). I approved the new layout in Septber and I wasnt able to get a hold of anyone to find out if the new layout was ever submitted for permits for another Month. I then was able to get a hold of a customer service person who was able to harass my project manager into responding to my emails. The email just said "You permit approval is approximately 2 weeks out". I asked when the redesign was submitted and got no response. I suspect they were neglecting my account prior to my chat with customer service (shout out to Muzala for actually getting someone to respond to me). I received a package in the mail 2 weeks later with my permit approvals. That was over 3 weeks ago and I have not been able to get a hold of a single live person since. I have reached out at least a dozen times via email and voice-mail. I paid in full back in May and I am now very concerned that my project is never going to be completed.
We contracted to have a solar electric system installed by Zenernet Solar on October 18. The home improvement contract was subsequently modified on December 9 and then finally on June 20,2022. Installation was not completed until September 7, 2022. On November 16, 2022, we received a copy of a lien on our home that was filed on the solar equipment by Greentech Renewables, *** (the Lien Claimant) who contracted with Zenernet, LLC (the Principal Contractor). The lien was filed for Zenernets failure to pay the principal contractor. As we are now, and will be, paying for the loan that we paid to Zenernet, the lien would require us to be paying twice for the same services/equipment. In the meantime, this is affecting our credit rating!

We have paid them $19,000 to date.About 3 weeks ago November 1st they stopped all communication and calls. I contracted with Zenernet () to install solar panels, converters and all equipment to generate and work with the city, county, state, and utility companies to reduce my electricity charges. While they took over a year to install the system they requested payment to be complete even though their installation was not complete. In the last two months they have no replied to text, voicemail, email, and written request to work with my electric utility and finish the process. I have spoken to their CFO ***, CEO ***, VP ***, PTO *** This posting is my last resort.
Contract issues with Zenernet LLC for solar panel installation
I had signed a contract with Zenernet LLC, a company licensed for business in multiple states, for solar panel installation at my house. The initial contract amount was $12,245.00, signed on 6/22/2022. I paid a $1,000 advance for design. On 9/15/2022, the contract was revised to include 3 additional panels, totaling $15,048. After Monterey County issued the building permit, I paid $8,916 on 9/30/2022. My total payment to Zenernet is $9,916, but they have not communicated about the installation start. Despite repeated attempts to contact them via phone, emails, and texts to project managers and the CEO, I've received no response. The installation, due by 9/30/2022, is unscheduled after 30 days of the advance payment. Similar complaints are on Complaintsboard.com. I seek a refund due to lost confidence in their completion of my project and to utilize the federal tax credit for solar energy systems before year-end. I hope Complaintsboard.com can prompt a company response and assist in the refund process.
I hired Zenernet Dec 2021 to setup solar at my multiplex. $52,200 were collected. I have been transferred to multiple project managers with absolutely no progress with any of them. I haven't even seen evidence that permits have been pulled. I have sent countless emails and left many messages and no progress has been made. I need the project completed or need my money returned. I trusted you ***!
We are writing this complain regarding our solar power provider, Zenernet, who is unresponsive and currently overdue for completing the installation at our home.Owners: ***, ***, Dhakshan Potuhera Solar Provider: Zenernet LLC, *** Contract signed Date: 10/21 Contracted date for completion: 09/16/22 Currently, we have financed the cost for the installation through ***Solar Processing and they have paid Zenernet the for the cost of the installation. So far, Zenernet had hired a local contractor *** Electric to install the panels and run some conduit back in March 2022. They havent received payment from Zenernet and sent us a warning to place a mechanical lien. And note the connection is still not complete. We have been reaching out to Zenernet numerous times to understand what is causing the delay of services and they have changed the point of contact 3 times, yet haven't moved forward in the last 6 months.
Faulty installation of equipment that was first placed 3/21. IT STILL DOES NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY and no one responds to calls, emails etc. The solar circuit breaker was not wired properly and now there is a PV link (equipment issue) that needs a technician. It took well over a year to solve the last problem of a faulty powercell with booking someone to come check it, taking time off of work and the subcontractor (*** electrical) would not show up...repeatedly...with no notification of their decision not to come out until I called THEM to see where they were. Honestly, I am not sure how they have stayed in business or even if they are. I should have written this much sooner to warn others. Also, *** electrical is the one that does not seem to know what they are doing electrically. It is their subcontractor. They are the one I guess should also be held accountable.Thank you for your time,*** If you wish a copy of all the communications or lack there of, please let me know and I can try to download it from my email provider.
Zenernet Solar took over 9 months for install and failed 3 seperate county inspections and left holes in side of my house. The promise of contract was completed in *** for 7 months. Now that system is complete it failed to produce even close to the production stated . Left messages with zenernet with no call back. *** financial is the other contact and no call back. A class action lawsuit needs to filed against this company as I have read many other complaints online.

Signed contract with Zenernet for solar panels, battery, and electrical upgrade on 02/21/22, with an estimated completion date.
Signed our contract to install solar panels, battery and upgrade our electrical system with Zenernet on 02/21/22 with an estimated completion date within a specified timeframe from the contract signing. The intention was to complete the solar installation before the summer heat waves started in late June at the latest. We were assigned more than 10 project managers (currently on the 13th or 14th as we lost count) and we are still not complete. Got the first part, solar panels and battery installed on 8/10, electrical system upgraded on 9/24, but it was not upgraded to the correct amp and failed rough inspection on 10/12/22. Tried to contact management but have not heard back from them as we are beyond furious at how they are running their business, with incompetent project management, and not providing the customer service that we should be receiving for spending $41k. They are advertising a 60-day installation now, which is ridiculously false. They have overcommitted themselves and cannot fulfill their orders within the target completion dates. We are unable to reach people in the company to escalate and get updated status on our project in a sufficient manner. Have never experienced something like this. We are almost at 8 months in and we still have incomplete installation and also have holes in our dry walls from the electrical system upgrade as the patches were never completed. We recently had some rain, so I surely hope to be compensated by Zenernet if any of our walls were damaged because of their inability to complete projects. We just want this project to be done as soon as possible and be given the remaining work along with target completion dates for each activity until the end of the project as project management should work. Need resolution and compensation for all the lack of sufficient customer service and completion of the work as promised. Zenernet's team cannot provide sufficient servicing or communicate accurate expectations.
We entered into an agreement to install solar panels on Dec 24th, 2021. The panels were installed June 8th. Since that time, the panels have failed to pass inspection 5 times over the last 5 months. Their subcontractor, ***, will not communicate with me. Our energy department says they have not rescheduled a final inspection, the most recent one being postponed by rain, but noted that there were still deficiencies seen. Further details of this whole process are attached and I can also include emails if needed. As of Oct 28, I have received no communication from Zenernet. I have called and emailed our project manager, her supervisor, the main number, and the customer service number, multiple times each, and have received no message back from any of them. I have also attempted to contact ***. I am sitting with useless solar panels on my roof repaying a loan for work that was not completed or supervised appropriately as failing inspection 5 times is outside the realm of normalcy from neighbors' reports in ***.
We contracted with Zenernet in late June ***, . The negotiations with them up until that time were friendly and productive. On the basis that we accepted their plan, and sent them the initial deposit of $1000 on June 10, 2022. We signed the contract on June 27, 2022, and they started the permitting process. It seemed like it was taking a long time, but in early September they said they were getting ready to start the installation. At their request on Sept 8, 2022, we sent them the initial payment (nearly 3/4 of the total price) by bank transfer, and from that point on, they have been nearly impossible to reach by email or phone. The last communication we have received from them was a text on Sept 26, 2022 which said they were nearly through the permitting process, but since that time they have not returned any of our attempted communications by email, phone, or text. We have since seen several other complaints of the same thing on the internet, and we simply want to have the solar system installed as contracted. Halting communication with a customer after taking a substantial down payment is not acceptable, and we want a full accounting of the timeline for completion of this project or the return of all of our payments so we can contract with another supplier.
Zenernet was contracted to act as the general contractor to install solar panels on my primary residence. The panels were installed; however, when it came time for inspection they became unresponsive. The panels have now been installed for over a month and I am unable to reach anyone at Zenernet to get the panels approved by the city. I now am receiving certified mail from the installers and the equipment providers saying that Zenernet has not paid them and they have put a lien on my residence.
ON October ,I CONTRACTED WITH AND PAIDED A DOWN PAYMENT OF *** TO ZENERNET *** CO,TO INSTALL *** PANELS .6 MONTHS LATER THE PANELS WERE INSTALL.THEY(ZENERNET) CONTRACTED WITH ( SUN CAPITAL )TO DO THE INSTALLION.AFTER THE INSTALLION, SUN CAPITAL NEVER SHOWED UP FOR THE INSPECTION DATE,SO THE INSPECTION WAS RESCHEDULED.WHEN EVER THEY (SUN CAPITA)SHOWED UP THE INSPECTION FAILED .THE INSPECTION FAILED 4 TIMES..I AM NOW IN MY 13 MONTH,ZENERNET SUPPOSE TO REVISE THE PLANS,SO THE *** SYSTEM CAN BE REINSPECTED ..I CANNOT GET IN TOUCH WITH ANYONE AT ZENERNET TO LET ME KNOW WHATS GOING ON WITH MY *** PROJECT.I HAVE CALLED ,TEXTED,E-MAIL,NO REPLY.I WAS TOLD BY MY SALES REP.*** ,WHEN I SIGNED UP IN 2021,IN 3 MONTHS MY SYSTEM WILL BE UP AND RUNNING, WAY BEFORE SUMMER.MY ELECTRIC BILL FOR THIS SUMMER MONTH AVERAGE ***.
After extensive research, I signed a contract with Zenernet in January 2022
After extensive research, I signed a contract with Zenernet in January 2022. I was told that it could be 3-4 months before install due to delays in shipping and the time it was taking to get a permit. In mid-May 2022, I was contacted to schedule install, which occurred in early June 2022. The installers did a good job but were unable to connect the system because the plans specified that I needed a main panel upgrade. The system was left disconnected. Shortly afterwards, I was told that a main panel upgrade was going to take up to six months and now the engineers think they could do it with a sub-panel. That would require a change the permit (over the counter) and a reduction in project price. Then they changed project mangers and the new PM didn't know what was going on with my account. She wouldn't return calls or emails. I went back to my sales guy who told me I needed to download the app! What app? My system isn't finished! Finally, in September, I was able to connect again with the sales person and his manager. They adjusted my contract (down) and confirmed that indeed, my plans had been submitted for a permit revision. I received yet again, a new project manager. They suggested that as recognition for the delays they would pay my power bill for the past three months and asked that I send them copies. I did that and now have heard nothing back from any of them since the end of September. All voicemail boxes are full and emails go unanswered. I tried contacting the President of the company via LinkedIn, with no success. I have received my revised permit and plans but still have an incomplete system and have paid over my contract amount due the reduction in scope. I'm very disappointed in Zenernet's lack of communication and horrible service. I'm seeking a contract refund and damages. From what I have read online, there are many customers who are having a similar problem.

I have been hesitant for years about going solar because of the fear of the company I choose going out of business and horror stories that I have heard. I worried that I would get scammed with panels that are no good and a company that can't fix issues. Well after a lot of research and finally finding a company I was comfortable with, plus the sky rocketing cost of my electric bill I chose Zenernet. All of my fears have been realized and worse!I signed a contract back in May this year with Zenernet. The panels were installed at the beginning of August and I have been waiting for a final inspection. As soon as the contract was signed they started passing me off to multiple project managers that would simply email that they were working on things. I have tried to contact the company multiple times over the past few months with very little response and in the past month no response. In my last contact back at the beginning of October I was told the company would cover my last two months of electric bills and that the hold up was not their fault but from the permitting company they use. Well, I received my permits shortly after that, but never received reimbursement for my electric bills and I have been paying for my solar loan for the past two months as well. I tried to have the city come out for a final inspection since zenernet's customer service is non-existent once they received payment from the bank. The inspector came out yesterday and couldn't do anything because he stated that a company representative needed to be present to open up the solar box/breaker equipment. He also showed us where the labels/stickers that are required for fire purposes were all missing. He didn't inspect anything because he knew the missing labels were an instant fail. What this company is doing to me and my neighbors is criminal and they should be held accountable legally and financially to the fullest extent!
After signing paperwork, it took 8 months to install
After signing paperwork, it took 8 months to install. After installation, parts were still missing so it didn't work. Waited another four months for tech (who lives four hours away) to come back out and install missing hardware. Several more months passed before satisfying electric company enough to get it turned on. Almost immediately after, the hardware started to fail due to a recall on Generac parts. The parts were sent to Zenernet and have been sitting in a warehouse for three months doing absolutely nothing. Two years later, the system has never worked.Separately, the backup battery (that never worked) started a fire in my garage back in May. It's now September and they still haven't sent anybody to fix the issue. At one point, I had a power outage for four hours. I got to sit near the non-functioning fully charged battery with the lights out getting more and more *** off. Add to that my electric company now charges 50% more because they're "going green". $700 for three backdated months! I wish I would have gone solar sooner. Oh wait, I did.Nothing that Zenernet ever touched has worked!Additionally, months have passed where nobody would answer the phone or respond to emails. I've had reps make phone appointments and never call, promises to get updates only to be ghosted, they even reassigned my tech without informing me or letting me know who was taking over my case. Since nobody answered ANY of their phones, I contacted sales since I was confident somebody would actually answer that line. The only person that has actually arrived at my house is a tech that subcontracts under a different solar company and lives four hours away. I have told them several times to hire him directly as to avoid having go through additional bureaucracy which just adds an extra month or two to the already slow Zenernet bureaucracy. In true form...they've done nothing to remedy this. At least their consistent!

In the beginning (June 7), working with Zenernet was fine
In the beginning (June 7), working with Zenernet was fine. They were responsive and professional. I signed a contract with them and paid them a $1,000 deposit June 15. According to Zenernet, all that remained was to get ***s approval and a city permit which they said would be completed by the end of July. The installation start date was set for the first half of September .The first submission to *** did not pass review (mid-July). It was updated, resubmitted, and approved in late-August. I was copied on all the *** emails.I kept waiting for Zenernet to contact me about my start date. When I wrote them five days after the *** approval, someone wrote back and said they were waiting on the city permit.Additionally, in August they informed me of which company would be my contractor. The company was not licensed or bonded, so I asked for another company. I was informed this was the only company they use in the *** area. REALLY?! Also, the contractor company did not have many public reviews available (they had less than six at the time), not that reviews would have changed my mind.My reservations about Zenernet grew, but I was looking forward to getting my system installed in September.I had assumed this was approved long before and I was simply omitted from the emails. The city solar permits usually takes less than a month. I was FINALLY notified by Zenernet that my city permit was approved on November 2nd!I believe they 'lost' my project after the *** approval, hence the 3.5 month time for approval. Regardless, it was now two months past the original install schedule but that did not matter because I was not contacted again until a friend mentioned to them no one had contacted me. I then received an email January 13, 2022 asking about the installation.I told them I was no longer interested (4 months past the planned installation).I want the my deposit (designated for the solar system) refunded.

I contracted with Zenernet in April to add solar panels to my house
I contracted with Zenernet in April to add solar panels to my house. I took out a loan through the companies finance lender for $53,000. In August *** my house and that they would need to make some modifications. Then the company melted. My sales rep left. I went through three project managers in four months. My permission to operate was denied due to incorrect sizing. I ended up messaging the President and a VP through LinkIn to get through to anyone. Finally in June 2022, after removing four panels from my house, our system was finally turned on. The four panels that were removed were supposed to have been refunded. This still hasnt happened. Additionally, someone was supposed to help with fill out my energy credit application to take advantage of a *** program for solar users. This also hasnt happened. Since June, Ive left four-five messages with various operators or sales reps. I spoke to a person three weeks ago, in September 2022 who assured me she could handle my two issues. She needed management to approve the refund and a gentleman was responsible for helping with the applications and he would call me Monday or Tuesday of next week, when he gets back from vacation. As Im sure you can guess, neither issue was resolved and I havent been contacted back about either. *** called twice in the last week and both times got a message stating This mailbox is full. when I call their customer service department. Heed this warning and hire a different solar company. This one has had too many staff issues to be considered reliable anymore. I would like to have the four missing and removed panels credited to me, either through a check or credit with the finance company. Id also like assistance submitting my *** energy applications and am requesting $455 ($91/month for 5 months) damages for time since go live that I have not been receiving my *** credits.
We contacted Zenernet 1/19/22
We contacted Zenernet 1/19/22. At that time they were listed online as a multi-state solar provider with projects in *** and one of the top 10 in the country (Complaintsboard.com rating A+). On 1/21/22 we gave them a $1000 deposit to begin planning. I worked with *** Crownower on planning for several months. This was completed in June. On 7/1/22 we went to the permitting phase. A project manager, ***, began to work with us. She reported that the plans had been submitted to our city, ***, on 6/27/22. She also reported on 7/13/22 that the plans had been submitted to *** A final contract was signed 8/1/22. Our contracts specified of the total was due once permitting was complete, and scheduling would be done once the payment was made. On 8/15/22 we were contacted by ***, who would become our new project manager. She reported that we were cleared for scheduling an install date and the materials were being ordered. This triggered our first payment of $38,861 with the balance due after system startup. This was paid that day. This was when the fraud took place. The install was not scheduled, which she blamed on a need for an electrical upgrade. This had been discussed and added to the plans in June, but she said this would have to go through a new permit process with Xcel resulting in a 6 week to 3 month delay. I contacted *** directly, and they said permitting was taking about 2 weeks. I continued emailing and phoning. On 10/12/22 *** contacted me and said the electrical upgrade from Xcel was approved and that the next steps would be by our subcontractor, *** Solar (*** E. 56th ***, ) on 10/18/22. After that email, I was no longer able to contact her by email or phone. On 11/4/22 a former employee posted on Glassdoor that Zenernet collapsed nationwide on 10/19/22 and all the remaining workers were fired. He also noted that none of the clients had been notified.
Getting our solar system Project number Z-*** installed in March 23 2022 by Zenernet LLC for a sum of $50,000 was a big disappointment
Getting our solar system Project number Z-*** installed in March 23 2022 by Zenernet LLC for a sum of $50,000 was a big disappointment. After installation the process to get it inspected several times due to some wrong installation details took several weeks. The application for getting the *** from *** was as well very unprofessional, thus we ended up paying *** and the solar loan company since all of that took way longer than 60 days. Zenernet did reimburse us for the double payments and our trouble with this situation. After we got finally the *** from *** the horrible situation continued and we are asking for $800 reimbursement and a bigger Inverter be installed. Cause now it turned out that the installer did not do the commissioning of the solar system when it was installed. They lied to me that they did. Now finding out that they did not resulted in another waiting of almost 2 month to get it commissioned. Thus from the time of getting the *** until we finally did produce solar power we lost around 1,700KWH of power which could have been produced and accounted for at the *** meter. Since *** will send us an invoice for this lost power at the end of the 12 month cycle with around 48 cents per KWH (which its the current rate we pay and it may be even higher in 2023) we asked end of June 2022 Zenernet to reimburse us for this loss which would account for around $800. Several E-Mails and Telephone calls were not responded. No one seems to care anymore about this loss.As well we had to find out that the *** KW Solar Edge Inverter 10000H-US RGM installed is too small for our *** KW-System. Several times I got to see that more than *** KW was produced by the system but could not be send to *** since the Innverter cuts it off at *** KW. Thus another point where we are loosing solar power and thus money. So we are asking to replace the *** KW Inverter with a bigger one to be able to get all solar power produced to the *** meter.

I purchased solar panels with this company and they were installed earlier this year
I purchased solar panels with this company and they were installed earlier this year. In addition, I purchased a 25 year warranty on the panels with the company. I contacted Zenernet in September 2022 with an inquiry about my solar panel output and was told by a customer service representative that she did see that there is an issue with my panels and that she would schedule a site visit with one of their technicians. She informed me that she would reach out to me the following day to give me more information on the site visit. I did not ever hear back from her. I reached out again after a little over a week to get a status update and was told again that they would have information for me the following day and that they would email me and call me. Again, I did not hear back. I called a few days later on October 17th and spoke to representative ***, who again told me that she would have an update for me the following day. I explained my frustration with not hearing back from several reps so far and she sent me an email with her contact info stating what she'd outlined on the phone. She did not get back to me despite several email replies from me over the course of the week. I also tried calling Zenernet's main customer service line several times and suddenly it connected me to a robot that said "the voicemail box is full, please try again later, goodbye" and then disconnected. I tried emailing the reps I'd worked with in the sales process who had previously been very responsive and heard nothing. I left 2 voicemails on the sales service phone line and did not hear back, despite the voicemail saying I would get a response "within one business day." I contacted the company on instagram asking how to get in touch and did not get a response. I resorted to setting up a sales call through the website to try to talk to someone, and even then, nobody joined the scheduled zoom but me. I would like my issue resolved as I have paid for the enhanced warranty.
We submitted the first deposit on our solar system on August 10
We submitted the first deposit on our solar system on August 10. Per our contract, our system was to be installed by the first week of November. It got pushed to December and as our installation approached, it became impossible to reach anyone at the company. Materials were dropped in our driveway while we waited 3 weeks for a rescheduled date (due to weather which was understandable). All that time, we were calling/emailing multiple times a day, desperately trying to reach anyone of the 8 different people we had spoken to thus far with no response. The rescheduled date was never confirmed and we spent the majority of the day before trying to find out if it was still happening. We found out they changed installers (from the team we were given and researched and found to be very experienced to a team that was now in house and just started in September). The installation happens, the installers leave without even telling us they are done, we again try to reach anyone at the company for next steps to no response. 3 different times someone shows up to our house for an appointment that we have no knowledge of. Still no one has returned our calls. Finally we get in touch with someone in late March who is calling us to walk us through programming our system, only to be told it was not installed correctly and we will need a service call to repair. I'm promised a call to schedule by end of day, nearly a week goes by with no response to my multiple follow *** I finally am emailed an appointment for the following day and not 40 minutes later, someone shows up at our house unannounced. They are able to get the system working and it's back to waiting on someone else to call for monitoring instructions. I've been promised compensation and desperately want to be done with this project, but again, am back to getting no response. I just received a mass email, every customer on CC, requesting payment and I'm fed up. Based on other responses to that email, I'm not alone.

In July , we signed wit Zenernet to have solar installed
In July , we signed wit Zenernet to have solar installed. The agreement was everything would be up and running no later than October. NO words from the company about install, the week they decide to do install I finally get a call from the company, that they have been trying to reach me. I agree to the install which was set to occur two days after phone confirmation. When the crew shows up for install they are later than expected arrival. They do their job. The following day they show up for work and we agree on location and matching the house. When I get home the pipe for the wires was not finished and in wrong location. I received no call until the following Monday afternoon. They informed me that the project was unfinished, which was noticeable from street view. He then informed me that they could not put me back on schedule until following friday, so they left me my project unfinished for the week. On the Friday they were due to arrive no one showed up. I called to complain with no response. Then at 8 pm I get a call that they will be there early in the morning on a SATURDAY and no one showed up again. They finally made their arrival to fix it days later. In the meantime I get ahold of my case worker who has been switched several times. She tells me I have to get my panel derated and I have to call *** myself before inspection can occur, which wasn't previously discussed. I get ahold of a top manager we discuss fixing the situation. I get SCE to my house same day, I text the manager I've been dealing with, no response. At 7:30 pm on a raining night they are at my house to derate the panel. Which requires the electricity to be shut off, unplanned in the dark. After completed I have no power to my christmas lights or the plugs in garage, 10 days later to fix it and the guy had accidently disconnected the wires to the breaker. I get inspected the guy says about a week I'll have PTO. no PTO and no reimbursement for utiities they agreed to. so much more!

On 5/21 I signed a contract with Zenernet for solar panels at my rental property.
On 5/21, I entered into an agreement with Zenernet for a solar panel system installation at my rental property. The process began with design and permitting but faced delays due to Zenernet's internal miscommunication. Universal Solar was then hired for the installation, and I had points of contact at both companies. There were numerous last-minute requests and incomplete installations, leading to further postponements. Coordination was essential since the property is a rental, but despite multiple inquiries, the project remained unfinished. I had to provide additional documentation and facilitate tenant communications. Despite financing the system through a loan and starting repayments in January 2022, the installation is still incomplete. I am seeking assistance to finalize the project and get the system up and running.

Zenernet LLC $17,500 solar energy system contract details and payment timeline
Signed Zenernet LLC $17,500 contract for a solar energy system on 08/18/22, with the Vice President of Sales finalizing the agreement on 08/19/22. Paid $1,000 down payment to Zenernet LLC on 09/19/22. The first progress payment of $13,200 was due when the local authority issued permits. This payment was made on 9/22/22 after receiving an email from the Zenernet Project Manager on 09/14/22, confirming permit fees were paid. On 09/22/22, the local utility company approved the installation. The receipt of the $13,200 payment was acknowledged on 09/26/22. The Project Manager was coordinating with the building department for solar application approval, expecting it within 1-2 weeks, and requested a tentative installation date. Received updates on 10/12/22 and 10/18/22, with the latter indicating imminent permit approval. After no further contact, emails were sent on 10/28/22, 11/01/22, and 11/06/22 seeking updates. On 11/07/22, Zenernet's customer service stated they would manage the project. Subsequent emails were exchanged with customer service to address issues. This experience with Zenernet has been an earth shattering nightmare. Please, I urge you to go somewhere else for solar. Please dont go down the same path I have. You will regret ever even considering solar . I have had to pay for the loan on top of the enormous electrical bills just to try to keep my credit report clear. They promised I would never have to pay until I was up and running. Almost 1 year already and my solar is still not operational. They wont respond to my emails anymore . This place should have their licensing revoked for poor business practices as soon as possible.
Impossible to contact, once you sign it is all down hill! $60,000 + and i am still paying $400 a month in electric, I received every excuse known to man when it came to installation, including wind on a non-windy day. Multiple no call no shows after I took off work to be there. My solar is still sub par and I am paying high electric bills even with a huge system. Do yourself a favor and use a different company.
