Incapable of keepin appointment and very insensitve. Hours of wait time dont seem to bother them.

While schedulin is a problem, they're work was excellent and they're communication about issues was perfect. Would use again and can recommend highly.

We had a grate experience with A1 Affordable. They showed up when they said they would, did good work and were very respectful. I highly recommend this company and would using them again for any future roofing/chimney needs.

Very professional workmanship. Workers are friendly and knowledgeable. Satisfied beyond expectations! We will consider them for other work in the future, not just chimneys. They do other types of masonry work if needed.

Great company. A tree fell on my garage and caused a lot of damage. I called for an estimate, and Caesar came over in just a few hours and gave me a really fair estimate. I agreed to the price, and the next day their workers showed up and started removing the old roof. They fixed the damage in a professional way and left my property looking like nothing had even happened.

I was happy with the services at first and the work they did was good. However, they accidentally broke the handle off our internal flue. They promised to fix it when they did the additional work we required. But they didn't fix it during the secondary work and have been avoiding me ever since we paid them in full for the other services, even though we have emails where they promised to fix it.

They cleaned my chimney and found it needed to be rebuilt and did a beautiful job. I was pleased with the price and the job done. It looked like the other one on the house and it worked fine. They were extremely helpful and professional with my house. They were on time and prompt. They left my yard tidy and not a mess. They were polite and helpful with questions. I found the experience to be pleasant with their workers and well worth the money.

A1 was responsive to my concern about our chimneys deterioration. The rep and crew came to check on the chimney and, with the aid of a camera, were able to look at the entire lining which was visibly breaking down. I saw the pictures of the chimney interior. An email was sent with the contract proposal and all of the photos were attached. They were able to schedule a re-lining of the flue and mount a new chimney top. They returned in a few days to do the work. It was done correctly and efficiently. Ah, the peace of mind.

After doing a lot of research for a reliable Roofing and Chimney repair company, I picked A-1 'cause they did some Chimney work for me before. I couldn't be happier with how professional, honest, and clean this company is. They're real pros, from the first estimate with *** and *** to the follow-up after the job. The crew that did the installation was super professional and respectful. They showed up on time and cleaned up real good when they were done. The roofing job was finished in just one day, and they came back right away to finish the chimney work. All in all, they did a great job!

I wouldn't recommend using this company for any work. If you do choose to use them, I strongly advise recording all phone and in-person conversations. I experienced multiple appointment cancellations for the contracted work. The fireplace chimney was the original reason for contacting them, and the front steps did need work, so that was added to the original call. The scope of work changed due to more damage to the steps than first reported to me by this company. Each new contract that was issued lessened the description of work for the original job (the fireplace chimney) until the actual scope of work listed in the contract was vague and focused on the steps, not the fireplace chimney. The steps were replaced and are up to code. The fireplace received minimal work, and the worker refused to re-secure the loose brick at the top of the chimney, stating that they were not part of the contract and just replaced the cement cap at the top. The worker insisted that the chimney would have to be taken down 23 courses of brick at an additional cost of $7.800 dollars. When I questioned each new contract and the listed scope of work for the chimney, I was verbally (over the phone) assured that the loose bricks would be re-secured and that was understood in the contract. Each conversation became a verbal shell game about what needed to be done, what would be done, and what the contract actually covered. Over the phone, the office staff would state one thing, and the worker in the field would then insist that the contract facts were different and did not include what I was insisting was agreed to. Yes, I did sign the contract, shame on me and on anyone who believes what they are told when it comes to working with this company.

If you plan to use A1 Affordable, you might wanna think again. They ain't reliable, honest, or trustworthy. I signed a contract for 'em to put in new gutters, fix up one of my chimneys, repair the other, and do some roof maintenance. At first, Miguel came out and checked everything out, and he was real thorough and polite. Then I got a quote from Orlando, who seemed like he had it all together, honest and dependable, but man, did he let me down. It took me weeks to decide who to hire for the job, and now I regret picking this company. They did come out like they said to do the gutters, but they didn't finish the whole job. They left debris behind and didn't close off the gutters right where the gutter guards are. And while they were doing the gutters, they showed me some new damage to the roof, like a hole. That wasn't there when they checked it before. They said their roofing manager, Caesar, would come by to check it out on the same day they were gonna fix the chimney, which was 2 days after the gutters were done. On the day they were supposed to do the chimney, I called the office and Orlando said the technician would call me 30 minutes before showing up. I took the day off work and waited all day, but nobody came or called. I called the office twice during the day to talk to Orlando, but he wasn't around. They promised he'd call me back, but he never did. At 5pm, I called again and Orlando had already left for the day. I was so mad and let down. I asked to talk to a manager, but there wasn't one available. They said Orlando would call me back the next day, but I insisted on talking to a manager. So they had Caesar call me right away. He was real unprofessional and didn't seem sorry at all for not showing up like they promised to check the roof. He was real casual about it, and when I told 'em I was gonna report 'em to the ComplaintsBoard.com, they finally said they'd come back and fix the problem. But 'cause they can't be trusted and they act all unprofessional, I decided not to have 'em do any more work. I paid 'em $3,900 for gutters on my house, which is a lot. They don't know what they're doing, they're not reliable, and they charge way too much. They hire other people to do the work and don't even have their own folks overseeing it. You better think twice before you hire 'em.

Working with A-1 was nothing short of their name! After a chimney inspection it was discovered that I needed several repairs/replacements. They were agreeable to a military discount, as well as several payment options so that I was able to make the necessary repairs. If not for this flexibility I wouldn’t have been able to complete the job. Repairs were made the same day. I HIGHLY recommend working with this company!

Where do I start. Unresponsive. Untimely. And just plain unorganized. Three times the team called me to tell me they will give me an estimate. Three times they didn’t respond. I’m a nice guy, gave them a fourth shot... supposed to show by 1pm... no show ... called at 120p. Oh tech is on their way. They Called back at 130pm. Can we do Monday. Waited here all day for them. Ugh. No- you’re fired! The right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. Do NOT do business with this company! Absolutely a nightmare.

The company sent me an invoice for $1,800, which I paid without any issues. However, they later sent me another invoice stating that I am responsible for the permit fee. Surprisingly, on the same invoice, it clearly states that they will provide materials and labor for the agreed-upon price of $1,800. I thought this included the permit charge, especially since it was mentioned on the initial invoice and there was no mention of an additional invoice for the permit. When I called the company to inquire about this, they abruptly ended the call and have been avoiding my calls ever since.

I got a new roof in January , and in February , we took down the ceiling inside to fix it. When we removed everything, we noticed water dripping down and the wood on top was wet. This happened during the first big snowstorm we had. My wife and I have called multiple times since February to get the issue repaired. While I was up there, I noticed that there was still an old roof with cracked wood throughout the entire roof area that they worked on. They told me they only inspected the top wood and didn't know there was another roof underneath. If you're a professional, shouldn't you know how to inspect everything before installing a new roof? Like, shouldn't they have told me that part of my kitchen was about to collapse because of rotted, wet wood? The leak is in the same spot as before, so something isn't right. I might have to get a lawyer to resolve this issue.
