Fraud/Negligence
We were sold a 2003 Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck. Less than a week after we purchased it the check engine light came on. The diagnostics came back with multiple DTC (diagnostic trouble codes), The worst being bad injectors and transfer case failure. When I opened the drain valve for the transfer case 3 DROPS of oil trickled out along with some black sludge. Estimated cost for repairs...over $8500. Kevin Adams sold us a truck with no lubricant in the transfer case and all 8 injectors need to be replaced. He is calling us liars and scammers. By the way this is the truck we received as a trade for the first truck we purchased from him a couple weeks prior which was having starting issues and turning off while driving. Adams does not perform any maintenance on the vehicles he sells. Bad Business stay away!
Unprofessional and unethical business dealings
Everything posted anywhere on the internet with regard to Adams Motor Group is true, especially all references to Kevin. (the owner)
We purchased a truck from them off their website. Paid in full for it prior to seeing the vehicle in person as required by them. Upon taking delivery the vehicle was no cleaned or detailed. Within the next day or two we noticed several electrical issues with lights and alarms, then just snowballed from there. WE have had to replace the fuel pump, injector pump, brakes, both batteries all wiring harness if you can see where I am heading. Then as the icing on the cake, when I returned home some 22 hrs away and attempted to do the title work the documents had not been prepared properly. The title was not signed and the power of attorney they provided was signed by the previous owner but did not specify who power of attorney was being given to. The Bureau of Motor Vehicles returned it to me stating if they accepted is and got audited it would come back on them. I mailed the documents back to Adams along with a letter od displeasure. Today I receive a call from Kevin stating he did not appreciate my letter and that they were returning the documents to me the same way I sent them. They REFUSED to correct them. Now I am stuck with a temporary tag that runs out in 10 days and NO cooperation to get me the correct paperwork needed to get my tags. On top of that the OWNER Kevin called me a nightmare ### on the phone and hung up on me. Now correct me if I'm wrong but that does not sound like a PROFFESSIONAL BUSINESS OWNER that ANYONE would want to deal with. Bottom line, I have a 17000.00 truck that I have had to put another $5000 into that now will sit unable to be used if I can not find a resolution.
BEWARE OF ADAMS MOTOR GROUP! DO NOT TRUST THEM PERIOD AND BY ALL MEANS DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONIES.
