Adventure 001 helicopter tour

I brought this experience for my partner Xmas 2016 and due to it being cancelled 3 times I still have it! After numerous calls and emails i am having no luck, constantly saying been redeemed well of course it's been redeemed I've tried 3 times! Now comes up cancelled, it expires 04 sept! You are put on hold for a minimum of half hr, not the experience I was expecting!

Adventure 001 helicopter tour "glimpse of london"

My partner had purchased a helicopter tour with a "glimpse of London" with Adventure 001 for around £180. We travelled 6 hours and paid £60 for hotel and £80 in fuel. When we arrived, less than 24 hours before our tour we received a voicemail saying our flight had been cancelled due to a fault with the aircraft. This gave details about how to rebook the tour. We tried to contact the company on the Saturday and it put us through to a number which no one answered and charged us £25. What kind of company isn't open on the busiest day of the week for attractions? Shouldn't you actually speak to customers and try to explain situations? We went through the paperwork and discovered you had indeed put in the terms and conditions the part about flights could be cancelled due to weather or occasionally problems with the aircraft. As we assumed "occasionally" means not often we assumed the flight would go ahead due to the weather being perfect. We had rung around many different numbers and we had a call back from someone called brian who left us the original voicemail about the flight being cancelled. He told us he worked for an agency and only gave details of whether flights went ahead and doesn't work for adventure 001. We had explained the situation and he said that due to taking off from fairoaks airport in surrey and the flight only being 20mins it wouldn't be able to see the shard or the gerkin as shown when we purchased tickets. So instead he told us "Glimpse of London" actually meant going to the boundary of the borough of London. This is false advertising as the product you are selling is different to the product being delivered.

Not only have we realised this but after researching the company on Trip Advisor we can see many other people have complained about them cancelling flights late for weather or serviceability of aircraft which in itself is okay but on one of your responses you quoted saying that 17-20% of the flights are cancelled due to both these issues. That is not occasionally, 20% of flights is not occasionally i don't know how they can advertise this in your terms and conditions. I have proof of this as well.

Based on this we requested to have a full refund of the money my partner paid and the money we spent from travelling from Leeds to Surrey and our hotel from a wasted trip. Although the terms and conditions don't cover this, it doesn't cover you false advertising. At the moment my partner can't get a refund off them which means we are more than £200 out of pocket with no end sight.

We have tried to contact the company several times and they just ignore us by email or tell us to send an email to a different address.

One last note the company never supplied any details of what the problem was with the aircraft and this would need to be detailed if it's real as there should be proof why the aircraft was unusable on that day.

If anyone reads this who thinks of booking anything with them avoid at all costs as if something goes wrong you cannot get in touch with them.

Adventure 001 helicopter ride

I paid for a voucher in July 2017 for my mother's 60th. Booked helicopter ride for October as she lives in America and only visits a couple of times a year. It was then cancelled due to poor weather. This was understandable. Booked again for her next visit (May this year) and again cancelled because "helicopter fault". Voucher nearly expired. Contacted the team who extended voucher for a short period. 1. There are no available flights in this period 2. My mother isn't visiting in this period. Even if she was there is nothing available to book. Have sent countless emails and Facebook messages to be told basically nothing. A month and a half on no change and now being ignored. Not even an apology even though I asked for one many times. I'm out nearly £500 which they've basically stolen from me. I'm devastated as I'm not wealthy. Will have to take them to small claims court.

Adventure 001 helicopter so called experience

Service was shocking! This was meant to be an experience you can look back on. We waited more than a hour for the sake of minutes. It was rushed, they had you in and out of the helicopter - i had my seat bell off before the helicopter has even landed. I didn't get the deal paid for. When i got back home i sent an email on the 6/05/17 and I'm still yet for a response! i also messaged them on social media and they have deleted my negative comment and have blocked me! Do not waste your money with this so called company! There service and professionalism is diabolical.

Adventure 001 Helicopter ride

So the whole story with Adventures 101 has started when my husband got a complimentary ride for two from his company as part of his "Trainer of the Year" gift. We got very excited about it but had to post pone our visit due to work commitments for a few months. Than earlier this year my sister said she is coming to visit us in the UK for 3 weeks and we thought it would be great to show her London from the tops as well and booked her an extra ticket so all 3 of us can go. She arrived in the first weekend of February and as we don't own a car, we carefully planned our time together with renting a car for the weekend and creating a fun itenarary where heli ride would of been a great way to finish it on the 5th of February 2017. The company send us an email on Friday, 3rd of February 2017 saying that they have this special last minute deal where you can extend your minutes in the air if you come at 12:15 and for a little extra, but as we had other planes we denied it.

We went to Windsor castle on Sunday, 5th of February, in the morning cutting our visit short so we can have a quick lunch before cutting to The field. We were advised to check our emails and FB page for weather reports so we did right before heading out at 13:15(our ride was scheduled at 15:15) and to our huge disappointment it was cancelled due to weather and advised to reschedule it to later! Two hours before our time... so we spend afternoon walking around feeling upset. Well, despite having my sister visiting we both work during the week and only able to take a ride on the weekend, considering that we also need to rent a car for the weekend as no company gives it to you on Sunday only. They send us availability and the only day we could make was the last weekend before my sister departed. So we booked it being skeptical. As before we have rented a car and didn't plan much as it was last weekend and we needed to take it easy with spending and wanted to spend time together at home and again on Sunday afternoon drive to the field.

In the morning, my husband woke up feeling light headed. It despite that went to collect a car at 9am on Saturday morning and we parked it near our house where we had to pay for the parking as well (we don't own a car nor residence parking spot). We spend the day at home as everyone felt a bit tired and the next morning woke up ill. We checked the weather report and the chances were 50/50 as two locations were cancelled and two still going. Being worried sick about my husband and my sister have blocked sinuses and not able to breath, I took charge and send an email and a FB messages asking if we can cancel and potentially reschedule knowing that my little sister won't be able to take part in this experience for a while but to going back to Russia... I got a very dry response that their policy states that we had to show up OR send some one else instead. I was very upset and didn't want to bother with them on the day however did try to call to only hear an auto message about the weather report.

So I thought I'd follow up on it on Monday. The response I got was :

"Hi Victoria,

Thank you for your email.
Unfortunately, we are unable to rebook you, here is the relevant terms and conditions that apply:

It should be noted that any participants failing to take their confirmed experience render the voucher invalid, 7 Days written notice of cancellation has been given. In the event of the experience being cancelled by us, then your Experience Voucher remains valid until the expiry date shown, and will be rebooked for a mutually convenient date.

Failure to arrive for your experience renders your voucher invalid and you cannot re-book the experience as this seat goes up empty at a cost to us!
Someone else can use this experience on the date and time specified by making a name change.
I am sorry for any Inconvenience this may have caused however, we must strictly adhere to our policies."

I have replied requesting a customer service contact so I can talk to someone who can see this from a different prospective.

Well than there was no reply for nearly three weeksl! I have sent another email suggesting that I'll leave them a review and would like to speak to customer service.. and a week later I got a real:

"Hi Victoria,

Thank you for your email if you wish to take this any further please email our customer services department on [protected]@adventure001.co.uk"

So my guess is, they have no plans of running a successful business where they put customers first! The fact the they canceled on us and they didn't even offer to reschedule no express concern about the health of my close family disgusted me to the core! I DON't recommend anyone dealing with this people! I just had to get it out of my chest so the World knows.

Adventure 001 Helicopter sightseeing tour Manchester with sparkling lunch for two. Not given what was advertised and paid for - bottle of prosecco with the lunch

My daughter purchased the above helicopter tour with sparkling for my 70th birthday.

We arrived at the venue and obtained the lunch tickets from Adventure001 staff at airfield gate. We went to Runway 26 cafe on the airfield for our lunch which is the designated food venue.

Our lunch because it was a Sunday was a roast dinner option only, we both chose beef. This meal was barely edible the meat was cold, veg and roast potatoes hard, yorkshire pudding still half frozen. This was a ready meal that had been microwaved and not heated enough. We didn't expect a three course lunch but what we did expect was the lunch to be edible and hot.

We then enquired about the bottle of prosecco which should come with the lunch. We were told we had to go and get it from Adventure001 van at airfield gate. We went to the gate and asked Adventure001 staff for the bottle of prosecco which comes with sparkling lunch. They checked our entitlement to the prosecco and agreed we had booked sparkling lunch. They then went into the back of their van - we couldn't see what they were doing - they appeared with two very small plastic wine glasses with about one eggcup full of wine in them. I asked where the bottle of prosecco that came with sparkling lunch was. They told me that they had been told to just supply these minute plastic wine glasses of wine.

I feel your company has not abided by the terms and conditions of your advertisement by failing to provide the goods that have been paid for.

The desirable outcome of this complaint would be a voucher towards a microlight experience myself and daughter intend to take with your company in the near future. The helicopter tour itself was brilliant. Shame your company really disappointed us with the lunch provided and the lack of bottle of prosecco

Adventure 001 Helicopter ride

They charged me but never send me the confirmation of the helicopter ride and gave me other destination of it . Rude costumer service not helpful at all just lying and covering each other. They never send me the evidence to prove that the email has been sent. Very disappointed...Thieves

Adventure 001 Failing to provide event or refund

I booked a clay pigeon shooting It was cancelled with 3 days notice and despite promises to re arrange the date they have not . They said they would ring me back to rearrange . The event should of been on the 1st of June and they haven't rung yet . I have rung them 4 times (answered on 2 occasions ) with a promise that they would ring back with a new date in a week or 2 . Which they did not . I have also emailed them twice asking for a refund but no reply received .

Adventure 001 Appalling customer service

I booked a helicopter flight for 2 through Wowcher at a cost of £49.50 p/p the trip is advertised on the site at £99 p/p. After the trip was cancelled 3 times, once due to technical problems, once due to the weather & once due to some kind of health & safety certification problem they could not provide me with a new date for the experience. I was informed I could exchange for another experience for the same value yet when I called to do so I was very rudely informed I would have to pay a £7.50 booking fee & my voucher value was £66? So I would be £40.50 down on what I had originally paid.
The 3 people I spoke to at the company including a manager were all rude, abrupt & unhelpful. I have now had to contact Wowcher to see if they can help as Adventure 001 were no help at all. I wish I had investigated the company before booking as have found various complaints on websites regarding the poor service, extra hidden costs etc. I have booked experiences through other companies such as Red Letter Days etc & never experienced the problems I have had with Adventure 001. Will be warning everyone off ever using their services. Shocking customer service!

Adventure 001 failing to provide experience

Bought a voucher for helicopter flights from Living Social as gifts.

After much chasing to book as they rarely answer the phone, I was told that (despite still having 2 months left on the vouchers) the locations they were valid for were booked up. They said I could pay an admin charge which pushed the price up to the normal RRP to change the location. Kind of defeats the point of a deals voucher doesn't it?

Why didn't they limit the vouchers sold?

Adventure 001 poor service

Received as a present, via Activity Superstore. I was very worried when I saw masses of complaints about Activity Superstore on the tinternet. I needn’t have worried. The staff at Adventure 001 were very nice and polite. I had an amazing experience, the trip was well organised, safe, and good value for money. I enjoyed my flight. Only gripe was that the way it is organised it is inevitable that there is a lot of waiting around for your flight! The flight time booked on your ticket is a check in time but makes for good spectating!

Unusual to complain about a free helicoper ride! I'd have sold it on eBay! I dissagree that they don't list the valid locations as it is clearly shown on the web page enquiry form. Anyway Adventure 001 - thanks for arranging the Flight lesson for my 30th (redhill) ...It was a real Joy ...

I purchased 20hrs of flying lessons for my husbands Xmas present for £2300. When my husband turned up at the airport he was informed by Biggin Hill that these were infact a red letter offer.
