Adventure 001 star do not book via voucher and check terms and rights meticulously.
Cancelled flight at short notice stating that Wowcher will no longer honour their payments. Apparently lots of customers have suffered this. For us it was just weeks before our adventure. They need to sort this out with Wowcher and give customers refunds and a good explanation. They routinely cancel and push back flights due to conditions and this model doesn't work with 6 month validity offers. We arranged the flight months prior and they were so disorganized they contacted us just before. I have taken annual leave for this and paid to upgrade seats. Totally unacceptable!
Recommendation: Avoid especially if using any kind of voucher. Be extremely flexible and tolerant if you choose to use this company. It's a gamble!

My flight was cancelled at short notice via phone call. They claimed Wowcher are no longer paying them (the voucher redeemed in making the booking was via Wowcher). There is no hope of a refund according to both companies. This model does not work with a company who routinely cancel flights due to conditions and have limited availability. We pushed our flight back and had to upgrade to get on a weekend/Bank Holiday flight. Handling has been appalling. One of the most chaotic and disorganized companies I've dealt with. Never again!

25 mile helicopter ride
Never have I ever came across a company with such appalling customer service. I booked a £245 helicopter ride for my 7 year old son's birthday which he would've absolutely loved! However, Adventure 001 took it upon themselves to redeem and book the voucher on my behalf at a location which was miles away from where I live (I don't drive). After multiple attempts to contact them, I was finally able to speak to someone over the phone, who had the most nonchalant attitude, she proceeded to tell me that there must be an issue on my laptop as the voucher hadn't been booked, when it clearly had. I was told to return to the original supplier (Buy A Gift) who were absolutely brilliant and resolved the issue without any complications. I won't even consider booking anything with Adventure 001 again as they have done nothing but stress me out, and they have also upset my son as he is truly devastated that he cannot go on the helicopter ride.
Desired outcome: This company needs investigated as I have recently researched them after I had problems with them and it seems that they have a habit of doing this to people. Seems they only care about the money, not the experience or the people involved.

Total scam. Bought voucher from travelzoo feb 2022 and organisarion claimed money even though they cancelled first booking on this deal last minute due to maintainance! Bookec afain and cancelled sgain last minute. Couldnt find any vacancies for 3rd booking without paying extra money despite contacting them several times to ask for assistance. Now saying have to pay to extend voucher or loose money completely. They are saying i unsubscribed for priority booking which i didnt and won't refund unless 3 flights are cancelled.

2 x 30 min flying lessons
I purchased a 2 x 30 min flying lessons for my partners birthday.
We booked the first flying lesson and it was cancelled the day before due to bad weather. We then waited several months to be able to find another slot to book. We did and then arrived at the venue, kids in tow, we were again told the flight was cancelled due to bad weather and sent away.
Then Covid pandemic hit and the booking was just left on hold.
Once Covid restrictions lifted we again made contact, and contact, and contact and nothing, no response, no acknowledgement nothing. We would now just like our money back please as they have not provided/fulfilled what we purchased. They cannot even be bothered to email us back. Absolutely shocking customer service.

I wanted to complain as I our experience threw wowcher when I went to book wasn't many options as they are popular so we book for 14/05/23 flying from oxford. we live in Southampton but decided to make a day of it paying for a babysitter/booked a restaurant etc. then on 11/05/23 got a WhatsApp message saying the others for that day cancelled so would we like to pay for someone else/upgrade as it would seem we would be having it to ourselves, as it was an anniversary we didn't want to bring a friend. then Friday evening got a email saying due to weather it was cancelled and I had to rebook. 14/05/23 had no bad weather whatsoever was a bright day no wind. so it seems like it got cancelled so we didn't get a free upgrade which was very disheartening and now we have to wait until October for our next one. i think the company should of honoured it as the cancellation of others wasn't anything to do with us. and left us out of pocket for bookings/travel expenses.

I was given a voucher as a gift.Booked our expirience for Dec 2022 and it was cancelled last minute...night before.Re-booked for May 13 with a front seat upgrade.Got asked to upgrade to be moved from cheltenham to cirencester because of a "broken down helicopter"...i obliged and paid £60.Got cancelled a day befo and was asked to move to oxford for the 14th.I agreed...only to be cNcelled night before and any rebookings require an upgrade.What am i upgrading to?Keep asking for money and its now feeling like a scam.The mobile number they contacted me from they have now blocked me.

My friends bought me a helicopter flight in 2020 for my birthday… two scheduled times booked and both cancelled.. a year and a half later and no further dates have been available. I have requested they re credit my voucher to virgin experience days so I can get something else and they said I can only get this after three postponements… how can they postpone a third time if they haven’t even had dates in the last year and a half?! I am 5 months pregnant and not been keeping well, I have booked a helicopter ride for 23rd September 2022 and have tried to change the date, I tried 7 days before but the only dates available were in June 2023 and required additional payment for an upgrade that I wasn’t prepared to pay.
I contacted them and was told I had agreed the terms etc and had to change within 7 days but if they aren’t able to offer a change in date how can I be expected to change. I contacted for help and they haven’t been helpful at all, I am extremely disappointed with the service and the lack of availability.
They shouldn’t be allowing people to continue to purchase gift vouchers if they can’t offer enough available times.
Desired outcome: Refund or extended voucher date.

I suspect this company is in liquidation or knowingly operating "dubiously" - taking money & knowingly not being able to offer flights to the amount of customers they have. Friends purchased a helicopter flight for 2 from a specific location for my birthday in July 2021 via Red Letter Day. On trying to book they didn't actually offer the location advertised for the 2 person flight purchased - you can only access customer services if you upgrade & of course I was told I needed to upgrade to a 30 min flight to get the location we wanted which I naively did (plus I added an additional person - more fool me). Every date/flight I have booked has been cancelled for "logistical /maintenance reasons". There are now no flights available & we get regular notifications saying none are available but we are "working on getting more flights" just to keep us hoping. We live locally to the airport we wanted to use and the helicopter companies offering flights there have never been used by Adv001 to supply flights. I suspect this company is in liquidation or intentionally operating dubiously and that for a high proportion of people they just take your money and wait for the voucher to expire. In their terms and conditions state there is no possibility of refund - my voucher expires in June 2023 - I would have to pay to get this extended. Once a voucher is exchanged with the company Red Letter Day are no longer involved.
On-line it appears some people do get flights but I would be interested to know what percentage of customers actually do get the service they have paid for? Seems to be a loophole here? as long as some do get an experience and they "appear" to be offering flights it seems they can get away with just taking a lot of people's money and not providing what's been paid for.
Desired outcome: Provide figures for the amount of customers who actually receive the experience they have paid for.
I WOULD ALSO LIKE A REFUND PLEASE so I can put the whole thing behind me - this "gift" has been time consuming, disappointing, frustrating & inconveniencing. Not what my friends wanted nor expected when purchasing this gift experience for me.

I was given this voucher for my birthday for helicopter ride from Newmarket Helipad in June 2021. Tried to book only to be told no longer flying from Newmarket and trying to find somewhere else. Between July 2021 & Dec 2021 I received 25 emails saying unable to find anywhere. Received an email Jan 2022 saying I could book Cambridge went on to website only to be told voucher had run out. Eventually sorted but couldn't book until June 2022. Night before cancelled. Booked again plus paid extra money for front seat for 28th August 2022 to now be told cancelled again due to 'Operational Limitation' whatever that means. Please don't ever use this company as I can see by other reviews I am not the only one with the same problem

For my daughters 21 st I ordered a voucher costing 322.00 for her main present . It was booked for her birthday but cancelled due to technical / maintenance. She was so disappointed so I paid an extra £110 to make up for the disappointment . This was cancelled due to weather and a few weeks ago cancelled again for technical / maintenance. totally unacceptable for 3 cancellation so have requested over 10 times for a refund. Was asked for my bank details which I gave and still no refund . My emails get ignored and only one oerson has tried to help esemee. But she last said can’t help you furtyer you have a refund which I DONT. Nobody is taking any notice. My daughter has been in tears over this and it is causing so much stress. Flights are always cancelled. There never seem to be any slots available to rebook! No refunds are given. I have sent numerous emails to request a refund. Booked a helicopter experience for my autistic son who had a special 40th birthday in May. The ride has been cancelled twice through helicopter maintenance, they refused a refund and a date to rebook. My son has been waiting since March, customer service is zero and just won't help. I have been advised the the area and place where the helicopter ride was supposed to take place isn't even operating there anymore. They have taken our money and not provided a service surly this is not right. My son was so disappointed and hard to explain to him. I have read so many reviews on here and trust pilot it's absolutely disgusting they are basically steeling our money and getting away with it. I am now going to get legal advice on this matter.

I booked a flying lesson that was cancelled last minute... kind of understandable but i was not happy my partner emailed twice with no reply even though there automated email service says they will reply within 3 hours i wasnted a refund whick some9ne called Benjamin replied too after a couple of minths saying they can send it back to activity superstore which i replied too accepting.. this was not actioned i have emailed time and time again i will attach photos of most of the conversations that i have sent i really dont know where i stand or what i can do next.

Reporting and taking matter further was witness to my boyfriend checking me in for the flight. We input all the details for both vouchers and he checked that we would be booked into the same flight together as they'd given us two separate vouchers rather than one. They said yes. Came to day and got a phone call to say there was a spare seat so we took his daughter along. They then sold that seat and informed us only one of us had been checked in. Staff on the day explained it was probably an admin mistake and we'd be given another flight without issue. We even said we definitely won't be charged will we and they said no! Now they are saying they didn't make a mistake and have done nothing wrong and the owner who is abroad so we can't speak to him agrees she doesn't have to refund us or put us on another flight. Total scam.

Unsafe on day we arrived as well - staff admitted flight mistake and said we would get refund or another flight. Paperwork was flying about all over the place. Not even on an airfield and staff tried to get us and other member of public on helicopter without a safety briefing

A truly awful and upsetting experience after having bought an experience through a third party.
Felt we were treated very very badly, left us totally upset and ruined an exciting experience for us. We felt it did not live up to our expectations of safety and customer service and luckily were able to go back to the third party where we were treated ever so kindly and are able to make the most of a truly devastating situation and rebook our experience elsewhere.

I have bought this for my mothers birthday in june 2018 and she has yet been able to get a date for her to go on the helicopter. They never realise any dates and they are still advertising on their websit headcorn aerodrome which they don't fly out of now. They have had my money since june and nothing for it. My mother is 84 yr and has never flown and this is on her bucket list. When I explained this it made no difference and they said it could be transferred to someone else if she can't go. No compassion. Do not book with them. Very unhelpful. It takes them a long time to answer the phone and they aren't open the hours that are advertised.

Our flight was cancelled due to operational problems the day before we were to fly and since then you have e mailed us twice with additional dates the most recent being the 23rd Sept which would suit us but when I go online to book the site tells me there are no more flights until March next year 2019 This has happened on both previous occasions
We are very unhappy that we cannot book this experience that my daughter Pamela worked hard to pay for and if we cannot be booked for the 23 rd September flight we demand she is payed her money back or I will be in touch the trading standards about the quality of the poor service provided .
