To whom this may concern,
Last night my mother and I went to the Glen Gary spur and had terrible service. I have never been so disrespected, we got to the spur around 18:40 and were seated and ordered our drinks when our drinks arrived 5 minutes later we ordered our food.
Around 19:10 we start asking other waiters to call our our waiter because we've now been waiting almost 30 minutes and our food hasn't arrived, we see the lady calling our waiter Hilda and she looks at is and walks the other way disregarding is completely. My mother who is a diabetic and extremely hungry at this point the gets up and walks over to her asking what's happening and that she should bring the bill if she doesn't want to serve us, Hilda doesn't apologize or explain and just says she'll send someone with the bill which she didn't even do.
I then called the manager at 19:27 asking him to please call get us the bill as we want to leave we hungry and have been waiting for our food for 40 minutes, he goes and checks and come back advising our order was placed only at 19:20.
I dont know if this is the type of service your company finds acceptable but I am disgusted that some would treat customers like this I am still in shock and yet to receive an apology.
Bad Customer Service
I had ordered AeroGarden Elite model after researching on their website. What I received was called a Pro 100. Upon contacting them on their chat site, was told that they changed the model name. They had sent me the older name model. I told them I wanted the new one, as I had no assurance that what they sent me was indeed the same as what is shown on their website. The chat referred me to their customer service telephone # and logged off.
I called their customer service and was told that it was just a name change, and they were sending out the old box models. I asked them if they can exchange for the new, as I had no assurance that the models were the same, and since I am giving it as a gift, I want a new one. The agent simply told me there's nothing she can do, and hung up on me.
A simple word of apology and appreciation of my understanding would have resolved the whole thing from the start. But neither the chat nor telephone agent conveyed any sense of appreciation. They simply stated that it's just the box that's with the old name. They exhibited a sense of 'why can't you accept that?' attitude. They never said 'thanks' or 'sorry' once! Shouldn't customer service start with a sense of 'thanks' to the customer?!?
Aero Garden has horrible customer "service"... I'm going to leave a comment on reseller ratings as well as contacting the BBB and the Attorney General in their state... I ordered directly from them, and when I unpacked the garden, it smelled like a chemical factory, to the point that I couldn't even keep the thing in the house... I had to put it in the garage!
After telling them about it via email, they said they had never heard about that... (Yeah, okay)... Lets just say that I got the ONE AND ONLY reject system that smells like that... A REPUTABLE company would send me a replacement with a return label for the defective one... NOPE... It's been 9 days since I asked for that...
Review / Tomato seed Kit
I have been growing their tomato seed kit for the past 3 months for the 6 pod Aerogaren Elite. One of the pods never germinated so they sent me another pod. I followed the directions and none of the plants have borne any fruit. You have to self pollinate them and trim like a bonsai but still no tomatoes. But my real issue is that I completed a review on their website and they said it would be posted within 24 hours. They never posted it because it was low. So I checked and for almost every product they only publish a few low reviews to keep their ratings high. My review was very polite and detailed and it should have been published.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
