Affirm Review: A Nightmare Experience with Crooked Practices
So, I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience with Affirm. I was trying to buy something online and the website I was on offered Affirm as a payment option. I thought, "Hey, why not give it a shot?" So I applied and was actually approved, which was pretty exciting. I chose a 3-month repayment schedule and put down the money required to make the purchase. But then, I got an email saying that my loan couldn't be approved. What the heck? If they weren't going to approve me, why did they take my money in the first place?
Then, I got another email saying that I was approved for $500. Great, right? Wrong. When I went back to the website where I was trying to make the purchase, there was nothing there. So I went to the Affirm website and there were no loans posted. They had taken $170 from me and I had nothing to show for it. I called them up and they gave me all sorts of excuses, saying they couldn't see the information I was referring to and all that. But I had the email right in front of me!
I decided to try again with a lower-priced item, but once again, I put down $140 and got no confirmation or anything. I was so frustrated that I called them up and gave them a piece of my mind. If they weren't going to approve the loan, why did they take my money? And why did it take 7-10 business days to get a refund? That's my money that they're holding onto and making interest off of.
Honestly, I feel like Affirm is a bunch of crooks. I'm out over $300 that I could have used to buy the item I wanted, but now I can't because they're holding onto my money. And the best they could say was, "Well, at least you're getting a refund." Seriously? I wouldn't recommend Affirm to anyone. Their ratings are terrible for a reason. Stay away from these guys.
Affirm Review: Unreliable and Unresponsive - Frustrating Experience with Owing Money and Refunds
I've been using Affirm for a while now and it's been mostly smooth sailing. However, there was one instance where they owed me money and I still haven't received it to this day! I always make sure to pay off my loans before the expected time limit and never let my pay date or loan agreement date get close. But when it came to them owing me money, they seemed to have dropped the ball.
I tried making an online complaint to the Attorney General and Better Business Bureau, but Affirm hasn't responded to either of them or paid me the money they owe me. It's frustrating because I've always been a responsible borrower and paid off my loans on time. It's disappointing to see them not hold up their end of the bargain.
On another occasion, I paid off one of my loans early and unfortunately, one of the items I purchased was broken. I had to contact the merchant and send it back to their warehouse. After the warehouse received their property, they tried to send the refund back to Affirm, but for some reason, Affirm was rejecting it. This turned into a dispute on Affirm's end and it seemed like they weren't doing anything about it until the regulated time frame was up.
It took weeks, almost a month, of me calling the merchant and Affirm and getting nowhere before I finally received an email from Affirm saying they received the refund from the merchant and applied it to my loan that I had already paid off! How is that even possible? It's frustrating to be back at square one and trying to get my money back. It feels like they're holding my money hostage and they're not competent in handling this situation.
Overall, I'm completely disgusted and outraged that this can even be legal. It's disappointing to see a company that I trusted not hold up their end of the bargain and make it difficult for me to get my money back.
Unhelpful Customer Service and Denied Loan: My Frustrating Experience with Affirm
I recently had an experience with Affirm while trying to purchase a sofa. At first, everything seemed to be going smoothly. I opted to use Affirm as my payment option and was asked to make a down payment on the loan. I linked my bank account and made the payment without any issues. However, as soon as the payment was made, an error message popped up on the Affirm window saying that the session had timed out and that the purchase could not be completed.
To my surprise, I received an email from Affirm stating that my loan had been denied. I found this to be quite strange as I had already been pre-approved, approved, and had even made a down payment. I reached out to their customer service team for clarification, but unfortunately, I was met with vague and unhelpful responses.
I was frustrated with the back and forth emails, as I was simply trying to understand why my loan had been denied after I had already made a down payment. I asked simple questions like, "Why was I charged?" and "Was I approved or denied?" but I was given what I call "politician" answers - answers that didn't really answer my questions at all.
I needed to know this information so that I could figure out how to proceed. Was my loan still valid? Was I denied? Was it normal for Affirm to charge customers a down payment and then decide whether or not to approve them? To my surprise, I was told that I was both approved and denied! This was not reassuring at all.
To make matters worse, I was told that it was my fault for not accepting the terms of the loan. However, I never had the chance to accept the terms because the web page timed out as soon as I made the down payment. It was frustrating to be blamed for something that was not my fault.
Now, I have to wait 7-10 business days to get a refund on my down payment, which further delays the purchase I wanted to make. I have decided that I will never use Affirm again, and I caution anyone who is considering using their services. If their website fails during your transaction, you will be made to feel like it was your fault somehow, you'll be charged a down payment, but your loan will be denied. It's just not worth the hassle.
Stay Away from Affirm: A Warning About Untrustworthy Online Merchants
Stay away from Affirm, they are not to be trusted. I recently purchased an oxygen concentrator from an online merchant and was sent the wrong item. When I called to inform the company and ask for an exchange or refund, they told me that the model I requested was out of stock and wouldn't be available for two weeks. I asked for an RMI for return, but they refused to give me one. So, I returned the item with a tracking number and called to let the company know that I had done so. I wanted to make sure that I didn't fall outside of some limit of return. However, the merchant refused to accept the return and returned it to sender. I never received the item and have no idea where it is.
I contacted Affirm, the finance company, to let them know about the issues I had been having. I didn't want to be held liable for an incorrectly shipped item or an item I didn't have possession of. However, Affirm didn't want to get involved with the merchant's failures but did initiate a dispute. When the merchant stated that they wouldn't accept returns without an RMI, the dispute was closed. Now, I am being held responsible for paying for the item. I have been referred back to the merchant, but they refuse to return any correspondence. I don't feel that they are obligated to refund or exchange the item.
After doing some research and inquiring with other oxygen concentrator companies, I learned that the transaction was illegal because oxygen concentrators are considered medical devices that require a prescription before a legal sale can be made. I contacted the merchant with this information, but they refuse to reply at all. I am asking for assistance with this disreputable merchant to help facilitate a full refund.
I have had to secure an oxygen concentrator from a more reputable merchant, and this time I did receive the correct item very promptly and without any complications. They made sure that I got what I ordered and was happy with my purchase. I highly recommend avoiding Affirm and doing business with a more reputable company.
Interesting Experience with Affirm: A Review of Payment Collection and Customer Service
So, I gotta tell ya, I had an interesting experience with Affirm. I mean, I know I fell behind on my payments, but come on, life happens, right? Anyway, I got a call from a woman who was trying to collect a payment from me. I was at work, so there was some background noise, and I have a soft voice, so I had to repeat myself a few times. But, here's the kicker, her accent was so thick, I could barely understand her! It was like a game of telephone, but with two people who couldn't hear or understand each other.
She kept asking me why I fell behind on my loan, which was only $158 for a litter robot, by the way. I mean, I get it, it's her job, but it felt a little intrusive. I asked her what the information was used for, but she didn't really give me a straight answer. I try to be patient with people who are just doing their job, but sometimes it's hard, you know?
On a side note, I miss the days when scammers were so obvious. Remember when they would call and pretend to be the IRS and ask for iTunes cards? Those were the good old days. Now they're so much better trained, it's hard to tell who's legit and who's not.
Anyway, I paid off the full amount today, so I guess I don't have to worry about Affirm anymore. Overall, it was an interesting experience, to say the least.
Mixed Feelings About Affirm: Great Platform, But Lacks Understanding of Customers' Situations
I have mixed feelings about Affirm. On one hand, I really enjoy using their platform and have made several purchases through them. However, I have had some issues with missed payments and their response to them. I understand that missed payments are not ideal, but sometimes life happens and priorities shift. Unfortunately, Affirm does not seem to be very understanding of this.
I missed three payments due to my mother having a stroke and needing my help. I was able to make up the missed payments in the same month, but Affirm still sent me a letter of denial stating that they could not approve me due to my payment history. This was very disappointing, especially since I have current open orders that I have paid on time or even early.
I have reached out to both Affirm and Cross River Bank (the partner bank they use for decisions) with personal letters explaining my situation, but I have not received any response or concern from them. It seems like they are only concerned with making money and not with the well-being of their customers.
I do think that Affirm could work on being more accepting and understanding of their customers' situations. Life is unpredictable and sometimes things happen that are out of our control. It would be nice if they could take this into consideration and work with their customers more.
Overall, I would still recommend Affirm to others, but with a warning to not miss any payments for any reason. If you have almost perfect credit or are able to make all of your payments on time, then Affirm would be a great payment platform for you. However, if you do miss a payment, be prepared for the negative consequences that come with it. It's a shame that some companies prioritize money over people, but unfortunately that seems to be the case with Affirm.

In conclusion, while I do like using Affirm, I am disappointed in their response to missed payments and their lack of concern for their customers' situations. I hope that they will take steps to improve in these areas in the future.
Terrible Customer Service Experience with Affirm: Wasted Time and Money
This is, without a doubt, the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I arrived at my hotel on Thursday, having already made payments to Affirm, only to find that the payment wouldn't go through. The hotel had saved my payment information as a credit card with Affirm under my name, but for some reason, it wasn't working. I called Affirm to figure out what was going on, but the agent couldn't pull up my account and said their system was running slow. They told me that Priceline was the one who handles the money payment to hotels, so I called them next. However, Priceline said they couldn't handle it and that it should be Affirm, but they suggested I try Booking.com if Affirm couldn't help. So I called Booking.com, and they confirmed that Affirm was the only one who could help with payment. I called Affirm back, but they continued to say they couldn't help. Finally, after conferencing with Priceline, I was able to speak to a supervisor who revealed the truth: Affirm was the one who could help, but their entire system was down, and they had no ETA on a fix. I was told I would have to wait around for 2-3 hours. At this point, I had already been in the hotel lobby for 2 hours and just needed somewhere to sleep, so I paid the hotel out of pocket. They said that if Affirm could get the payment through by the time I checked out, then I would get a refund, and it would be fine. However, it was not fine. Affirm never paid the hotel, so I ended up paying both Affirm and the hotel for the room.
When I got back from my trip, I called the hotel to confirm that the charges on my card would not be reversed as Affirm still had not paid them. I then called Affirm to ask for a refund for the amount that I paid when they were supposed to pay. However, they told me that they couldn't handle payment and that it all goes through Priceline. I knew this wasn't true because someone from Affirm had already admitted that only Affirm could handle payment information. I asked to speak to Priceline so we could all clarify exactly what needed to happen, but the supervisor (Scott) said he didn't have time to do that and that I needed to handle it myself with Priceline. This was frustrating because Affirm had already put me through phone tag for hours the week before, and I wasn't willing to go through that again. The supervisor also said that they wouldn't give me my money until Priceline gave them theirs, even though Priceline had nothing to do with the payment and didn't have the ability to process it.
In the end, I had to talk to Priceline myself after Affirm continued to refuse to help me. It was a huge hassle, and I felt like Affirm had stolen my money and lied to me. They wasted hours of my time and left me stranded in a hotel lobby without any care for their fault in the issue. I would never use Affirm again, and I would caution others to be wary of their customer service.
Affirm Review: Poor Customer Service and Limited Credit Reporting Options
I've tried a few different loan companies in my quest to start building my credit, and I recently gave Affirm a shot. Unfortunately, I was denied, which I expected could happen. What I didn't expect was the difficulty I had trying to get in touch with a human being from their customer service team. It seems like no one knows anything beyond what the computer already told me, and I've wasted so much time just trying to delete my account that it hardly seems worth it.
That being said, I suppose Affirm could be a decent option for emergencies. However, they don't report regularly to any credit bureaus - only when you have a late payment and can't get an extension. And good luck trying to get an extension - when you call, you'll likely just get the computer telling you it didn't understand what you said, then you'll be put on hold for ages before finally getting disconnected. All in all, I'd recommend staying away from this place. The only reason I tried it in the first place was because Mint Mobile offered it when I was looking for a cheaper cell provider - and let me tell you, that was another nightmare and rip off.
Speaking of cell phones, the whole prepaid/contract thing is a mess. With prepaid, you pay more for less service. And every contract I've signed over the last 15 years has ended terribly with double billing and no explanation from customer service reps. They just keep telling me I'm paying for this month and next month, but if that's the case, why do I keep getting double billed? No one seems to be able to explain it, and I'm stuck in a contract with a penalty for ending it early. It all seems like a big scam, and it's frustrating that no one seems to care.
It's not just the cell phone companies, either - it seems like if you're not rich or well-off, you get screwed by everyone. The politicians don't care because they're getting campaign money from big companies, and the average, middle, and low-income people are the ones suffering. It's time for a change, but what can we do? We need to start standing up and making our voices heard, forcing the news to cover these issues and holding people accountable. It's not about being political or violent - it's about saving our country and our freedom. We need to think of ways to help, no matter how small, and work together to make a difference.
If I could rate this company with zero stars, I would
If I could rate this company with zero stars, I would. From the start, it's never been easy, it's easy to apply, and get locked in, the rest is an uphill climb up the side of a mud mountain. The first problem, is that there is only one way to pay on your account, which relies on your phone number and the app. If there's an issue with your phone? You have to call customer service, and the requirement to get thru the first hurdle to speak to an agent? You guessed it! They MUST send a code to your phone, once you jump thru the remaining hoops? Your connected to an overseas call center. The issue I've encountered, started over a year ago, with a loan I never applied for that showed on my account, I tried for months to dispute it, and was given several walls to climb, which never involved filling out any forms, or any documentation allowing me to dispute the account. Then, I was told it was "charged off" and preventing me from applying for anymore loans, at the same time, I was paying on an account I had opened. In June , I began to have an issue signing into that account, I was presented with several hoops to jump thru to verify my identity, taking a picture of my face, the front and back of my license, and finally a picture of my license next to my face, after all of these steps, the pictures would never process, leaving me to call *** directly, after giving my name, several times, spelling it several times, giving my phone number, several times, the last 4 of my social, several times, and spelling my email, several times. They then inform me, they MUST send a code to my email, which, I never receive, so then, they hang up and call me back.on a recorded line, which I then, have to repeat the same information, and they tell me I have to wait, 5 days, and try to sign into my account. And after waiting the 5 business days, I'm still not able to sign in, and I repeat the previous steps again. And then I'm reminded that my account is overdue, and the account I never applied for is overdue as well. And then when I remind them, why one account is over due, (I can't sign in to pay it). And I STILL need to get resolution on the account I never opened, I just get apology after apology. But I've yet to get any help disputing the one I never opened, or signing into the one I want to pay. All the while? My credit score is suffering.

I was taking a trip to ***, decided to deal with ***. I decided not to go ahead of time because the weather was bad. I called *** to cancel, they said I couldnt. I got extension to travel in future. Ok so now I have 5 payments. *** automatically took payment on 1/12. But then Friday the 13th i recognize my checking acct is in the negative because they put a hold 4 MORE TIMES. Mind you i just borrowed money that I cant use to pay another bill because my acct is on HOLD. I call *** they told me to call my Bank. *** says no, no that's the Merchant who placed hold and this can not be reversed til 2 business days. Its Fri the 13th, MLK holiday Mon so I'm SCREWED til Wed. This is so depressing and stressful. I cant even transfer funds from Savings because my Checking is in the negative. Thank God I have food in fridge because I would really be fkd. If I can sue *** , I will because the distress this has caused is disheartening. I will give AFFIRM A BAD REVIEW FOREVERRRRRRR...
there is no way I would ever use this buisness. tried using it thru wal mart. They had all wrong information. called them and requested to just wipe out all info and start new account. waited two days. then got back on wal mart .com again and tried same purchase. tried affirm again. nothing was ever changed. so cant finance anything from wal mart. because this company's customer service is just horrible. maybe they should try not using a call center from overseas.
No help. Nonsense reply to inquiries, demeaning and no respect. Excuse after excuse. Employees name is *** Thanks for nothing.
If you are considering a loan with this company, I strongly recommend that you pursue other companies.Affirm knowingly scams their customers and I have 100% proof of this.I made an online purchase on November the 5th from Michaels, when I went to pick up the order, ***'s informed me that some of the items were not available. Therefore, they only charged me for what I actually picked up.I was able to get a receipt with proof of this, I then contacted Affirm a few days later and they said their typical phrase " we will take care of this right away and you will hear back from us within 5 days, we're going to escalate the issue"Fast forward to *** 2023 and I've not heard anything from this company, I had even tried to contact them about a month after the original purchase and still nothing. After speaking with them at the beginning of the year, they said the exact same thing again " we're going to escalate the issue"I then try to make my payment for *** and they blocked me from making the payment but marked the loan as "past due"I then get a notification that they have a dispute with the loan and about a week later I get a notification that I am responsible for the full amount. This is absolutely illegal because Affirm is trying to make me pay for items I never received!I submitted over three times. The receipt showing what I actually picked up and how much ***'s actually charged me, it has the exact same order number as the original loan but Affirm continues to ignore it.So let me get this straight, Affirm is trying to make me pay for items I never received, they marked the loan as past due, even though they prevented me from making payments. This is absolutely not right and I will be pursuing legal action against this company for fraud! If they've done this to me then I'm sure they've done this to many other people.
Good luck trying to create an account!
Good luck trying to create an account! I tried to create an account in Oct. 2021 for one of my shopping carts and at the end of the *** Verify which took me 5 minutes, I get a message that they were unable to create an account for me and to "try again soon". I wasn't too pressed to buy the cart right away so I put it to the side. A few weeks later, I tried again for another cart, and got the same message with the addition that they were unable to confirm my , which I thought was pretty bogus. It comes to Nov. 2021, I am trying to purchase another cart, so my 3rd attempt with Affirm and this time I try it online, but I get the same message of them not being able to create my account, and to "Try again soon" - and then I get an email saying that they are unable to create my account because they "can't verify my identity based on the information they received" - at this point, I'm pretty annoyed, this is like my third time coming across this issue and I call the customer service line. I tell the customer service the issue and they say that there is a "disclosure" on my account from the VERY FIRST TIME I tried to *** myself and because of this disclosure, I am not able to use the service and that I am going to have to use another payment method, and that no matter how many times I try to verify myself, I will not be able to use the service. They never discussed what this "disclosure" is and honestly it's really ridiculous. So you're telling me from day one of me trying to use the service and set up the account I am denied? I ended up just deleting my account because I can't use it anyways because of this *** "disclosure" - and when deleting an account with this company, you can't create another one, which is just fine because I won't be using them again even if I could. I will be letting others know of my experience. This is just unfortunate because this company is partnering with some big named companies like Amazon, Peloton, Wayfair, ect. and there is a possibility that from jump you can't use their service because of how they have it set up or how they verify you. This takes a lot of options away from customers, cause very few people have large amounts saved up or just at the ready to be spent, it definitely took a lot of options away from me for current and future purchases. Based on my experience, I won't give them one star because that will be too kind.

This company charged my bank account 5 times instead of the 1 charge that should of came out of my account. They acknowledged that this was an error on their end but could not correct their mistake . They simply needed to reverse the charges. Horrible I would never recommend them . They illegally took money out of my account
Jan. 12 2023-Jan. 13 2023 Affirm overcharged/stole money from thousands of customers. In my case, they overcharged me 10 times for two separate loans in under 24 hours, removing $575 from my account, and 4 of those overpayments/thefts were made even after filing a complaint with their customer service rep. *** the phone the rep couldn't help me beyond opening the case and requesting that I send screenshots of the bank withdrawals, so I did. I received no automated response that they were working on this.*** the 13th, after putting pressure on their team publicly on *** they finally sent a response falsely stating that it was *myfault and asked for a bank statement that proved that I had been making the payments (my account is on auto-pay). I sent additional screenshots and called my bank to file for fraudulent charges. The term of both of my loans were for 6 payments and 4 respectively. So even by their own internal mechanisms, they were overcharging me and blaming me for something I did not do.I have yet to see my money back, they claim consumers will see funds returned in 3-7 days, but they is too long for many families and people struggling day to day to make ends meet.
Affirm is 1 of the best credit companies out there. Theyre fair, honest and their customer service is top notch. They work with many different merchants, Priceline, Amazon, Wayfair etc. They process credit quickly and efficiently and they work hard to make sure you get refunds from returned items. If you made payments before the refund was processed, they credit your account ASAP. Great company in my experience!
This company desires no stars. No one at this company is competent to help resolve problems. I just needed to change my last name due to marriage and they have refuse to do so since December 2022. Please stay away from this company
I financed my peloton purchase through this company for 0% interest
I financed my peloton purchase through this company for 0% interest. The emails I got and website gave me EXTREMELY limited information about my loan and also affirms contact information. Things that I was looking for were my account number for the loan, the phone number to AFFIRM *** and also their mailing address to make a payment or add them to my banking institutions online banking platform. None of that information was included in any of the emails from AFFIRM *** after being approved for the loan or even on the website. Nor could I find any of it after I logged into my account on their website and app. I had to do an external *** search to find a phone number to call. I wanted to add them to my online bank account so I could make a payment that way. The man I spoke to said you cannot make a payment that way. He said I had to pay via their website or app or over the phone with them. I said I felt uncomfortable giving my banking account information out or even loading it into someone elses website or app. I said I would like my loan information and their mailing information so I could mail a check to make my payment. He then told me that method of making a payment is highly discouraged. I asked why and he said it just is. He then told me that he can send me the information on how to make a payment thru their app. I again said I had no interest in doing that. I told him that this all seems a bit shady and cryptic. I asked to speak to a supervisor. After a few minutes *** a supervisor got on the phone. He pretty much said all of the same things. There were long pauses and he kept repeating what I would say. Clearly, he was buying time while his computer generated his script he was to dictate. It was evident he was reading and that he had no real answers to any of my questions. He finally gave me the mailing information as to where you can mail a check to make a payment. If anyone else needs the contact information or mailing address its:AFFIRM *** While I was on hold I ***d the company and saw all of the awful reviews the Complaintsboard.com has on this organization. I am blown away that such big box stores and companies are aligning with such an entity to finance their costumers business/purchases. Something seems to be very fishy and shady about this organization AFFIRM ***. While this is my only complaint so far I felt compelled to share my opinion on this very odd lack of information they provide because something just doesnt seem right about this. Like their selling your information overseas or something.

I purchase my airline tickets with my *** card.15 days later l find out that l have a loan with this company .l call then to clarify this error requesting a superviser.the superviser e mail me 4 months later. This company is a spiderweb l never heard about this company before is disgusting they get into my pocket without my permission. 3 billion reasons not to use affirm .
December 1, 2022 a man called me pretending to be an Affirm employee. He managed to access my account with no information. The lack of security they had, allowed this intruder into my Affirm account with my social security number, debit cards and personal information. He managed to use an affirm loan I had on my account. I got an email on December 1st 2022 around 1:50 pm. I called Affirm and disrupted this around 2:00 pm December 1st, 2022. When I disputed this loan the woman I spoke with didn't shut down my account or protect my information. She told me I had to dispute this via email, which would take them 3-5 days to review. A normal credit card company would allow you to dispute this loan and shut down the account immediately! I contacted Affirm by email and disputed this loan for fraud. A week later they got back to me and said I was responsible for this loan. I was in utter shock. How could someone scam me and it be my fault? I managed to get a confirmation number from Affirm, that said the loan was through a certain company I never had an account with. I contacted *** they told me it was fraud and to shut my account down. Which I couldn't do because the account was through Affirm and they already ruled me responsible. I have sent my conversation with *** my phone records, emails, police report and fraud report were all sent to affirm. Affirm got back to me a week later claiming I was responsible again. Even with hard evidence and a phone call dispute the day it happened. I have contacted Affirm with over 60 documents! They would lie and tell me different information every time I called. I asked to speak with someone in headquarters and they said This is why Affirm is bulletproof. The line ends with me there's no one to talk to above me. This has been over a month of fighting and still no results. I have to pay the $2,800 that I was scammed out of. I hope this Company gets shut down they do not protect their customers or have integrity!
Worst company full of incompetent imbeciles attempting their idea of customer service. They are getting auto pay from my bank account but refuse to let me see my account online saying they need to update my phone number. It's been months. They still won't verify my account after numerous calls. I want to see how much I've paid and how much I owe. I will NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.
THIS COMPANY IS AN ABSOLUTE SCAM! Woke up this morning to find my account overdrafted $200. I made a single payment of $150 yesterday, well they took out 5 payments of $150. I do not have any money in my account. I only owed one more payment of 150 so they took way more than I even owed. They took out $750 from my account. It even overdrafted my credit card. Now I've been trying to get this straightened out all morning and no one can help me. They can't even tell me if my money will be refunded. THEY EVEN ADMITTED ON THEIR *** THAT THEY TOOK MONEY OUT OF PEOPLE'S ACCOUNT. WE WANT ANSWERS AND WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK. Like for real, this is theft! No authorization of this on my part. I am so upset over this, how does this even happen!? Please do not do business with this company.

My name is *** and I am a resident of Albuquerque, NM and a former employee of Affirm.com. As I sat here today, filling out job applications, I realized that I have never worked for a better company in my entire life. I know that everyone is entitled to their own opinions of this company, and that's great. However, today I felt the need to share with you all on exactly why I wish this company had never relocated, so that I may still be an employee. I began my Affirm journey in April/2018. The job seemed like it would be a little bit more than I could handle, but then it actually became the most wonderful place I've ever had the pleasure of saying "I work for them!" My husband and I have been together for 11 years, and of those 11, we have been married for the last 6 months. In October/2020 my husband received a phone call that drastically changed our lives, even more than it already has, for the year 2020! That call was to inform my husband that he would be PCS'd (Permanent Change of Station); however, since the pandemic is going on, me nor our son were able to leave with him on 12/08. After many tears and hassles of having to deal with companies and granting me temporary "Power of Attorney," and other legal rights for everything we own. My husband is 11 years older than myself, therefore, I'll be honest when I say that being with someone much older than you, since the age of 19 kind of creates a sense of laziness when it comes to the important things. Out of over 18 companies that we had to deal with, AFFIRM was the only one that did not give us any type of issues when it came to this. We were able to simple make a 3-way call, have him verify all of his information, and the agent was able to proceed as long as my husband was okay with me being on the phone call. Not only did they have no problem granting me access to the loans we have opened, but they also enlightened us about "SCRA" which is something I had been educated on, but when I got the lead position, I never really had to deal with it, unless it was simple questions. I know that this isn't the proper website to come to and brag about a company, but I simply had to. There is no FINE PRINT when it comes to Affirm! Everything is right there, out and in the open for you to decipher for yourself. Thanks Affirm, not only for teaching me SOOOOOO many things that I never learned in basic "Economic" courses, but for also making my husband feel proud to be serving our country. Contrary to these other customer reviews that I've been reading, this is an outstanding company, and I know this as an employee and customer!
I have had several loans through Affirm over the past 2 years and always paid on time. I was going through a rough patch financially last fall and let them know I was going to be late with some payments. They had never reported any of my on time payments to any credit bureaus. When I was late they reported the late payments to Experian. I caught up and have paid some of them off and they have not reported any of my new payments. Ive tried talking to their customer service and they are horrible and unknowledgeable. I asked for an address to send a letter their credit department and the representative wouldnt give it to me. How can they only just report a late payments?
I've had so many issues with this company in the past I use to love doing business with them. Lately, I've regretted EVERYTHING. I recently went online in December to book a trip with them and immediately noticed that I was giving the wrong location as I've had issues with Sleep Inn in *** in the past and have expressed my issues through their company as well as PRICELINE. They kept my cash deposit saying they LOST it. I've made multiple trips worth more than the money I've spent trying to recover my money until I had to involve the police. Not to mention the other issues I had with them as far as being placed in multiple rooms because the rooms were filthy. As of today, I NEVER received my deposit back. Priceline gave me a coupon for my troubles. I reserved a room on December 19th for December 21st of 2022. Once I realized they have me the EXACT hotel I immediately called them. They told me they didn't see it and to call affirm whom I paid it through. I did that. AFFIRM told me it was still processing on the merchant end and that I needed to call priceline. They stayed on the phone to do a 3-way. The representatives both told me to go ahead and place another trip, and they ensured me that it would fall off. 1/8/23 I'm still responsible for it, and I NEVER stayed at that hotel. They have been giving me the worst customer service, if any. I can't get anyone with sense to talk to me. I refuse to pay AFFIRM as they are waiting on priceline, but they want their money for something I never stayed at. That's making bad business with them. Priceline is NOT trying to talk to me about this case at all. They know I NEVER stayed at that hotel. I just need my refund of $80. I paid more for the hotel they told me to change it for $121. Why would I get two hotels on the SAME day? That doesn't make sense and they know it. I will NEVER use this service again as I've been a customer for years!
Easy to apply and be approved. However, the merchant purchase never went through and the merchant has no record of an order being placed and is not processing any order. Affirm can not escalate the issue without an order confirmation or documentation. Trying to get ahold of customer service is frustrating. The operator does nothing to assist you and keeps repeating they need confirmation of the order. They will not escalate the issue and tell you that you will receive an email in 7 to 10 business days.
Affirm is complicit in allowing financial fraud! They approved a $5000+ loan in my name without even a credit check or reasonable validation that I am in fact the one that applied for the loan! On 1/6/23 9:23PM I received a email asking me to confirm my email, I did NOT as I did not apply for a Affirm account. I got 2nd email at 9:26PM telling me my TickPick purchase is approved! With in minuets, I call the toll free number and reported this to the *** was empathetic and helpful and told me he would place a hold on the loan application and the account created in my name. Fast forward to 1/9/23 11:34am and I get "your loan confirmation" email. Even though I notified them with in minutes of the fraud, they failed to stop it! There's no way I would ever trust this company with any of my personal information if that's the level of protection they provide! There should be an investigation into the amount of fraudulent transaction this company processes. They have sacrificed any real fraud prevention for quick loan flip because their profits are more important than us, the consumer. They need a F rating here as Fraud seems to be their main service!
I took out a loan with Affirm back in November
I took out a loan with Affirm back in November . The loan was for a ticket to Bali booked through Alternative Airlines. My flight was scheduled to depart LAX on April 12th and arrive in Hong Kong for a 15 hour layover. The the Covid-19 outbreak started in March so I decided it would be best if I didn'ttravel. Also i am a traveler of a certain age and with preexisting health conditions so with everything that was going on I decide to cancel for my own safety and because the government was saying not to travel if you didn't have to. I contacted Alternative Airlines and Affirm hoping in the midst of a global pandemic they would be more understanding. Alternative Airlines informed me that I would have to pay a $200.00 cancellation fee and a $91.00 processing fee. I then contacted Affirm for support and was told there was nothing they could do since the loan was past sixty days but then suggested that I have my doctor write ne a note advising me against travel and submit it to Alternative Airlines which I did. Alternative Airlines nor Affirm did anything to resolve this issue. Then I was told by Affirm I would just have to wait to see if the airlines would cancel my flight and hopefully they would refund the ticket. The week of my flight I was told that my flight would be cancelled I was also told by an agent at Alternative Airlines that it would take up to three months for the refund to process. I informed them that I had just read a report that the Transportation Authority was requiring that all airlines who cancelled customers flights were required to give back refunds within seven days. I was given the obligatory customer service brush off, "We will do everything we can to speed up the process but we can't make you any promises." I then contacted Affirm to see what they could do on their end only to speak to customer service representatives and their supervisors without much satisfaction. So as it stands I was told by Affirm that I will be charged interest on a loan that was cancelled, a loan that is being held up by Alternative Airlines in which I'm sure they are gaining interest on the money and there's nothing that Affirm can do. I received another email from Alternative Airlines this morning assuring me that they were working on my claim and I should be receiving it on or around June 16th but then there would be another 5-10days before it would processed. Oh by the way I had received another email a while back from Alternative stating they would be refunding me $563.00 instead of the $603. 00 the amount of the loan. Alternative nor Affirm has been able to tell me what is the $37.00 being used for. I'm extremely dissatisfied with the sheer lack of customer service I have been provided with during these very stressful times.
This is hands down the worst customer service I have ever received
This is hands down the worst customer service I have ever received. I got to the hotel on Thursday after already making payments to Affirm and the payment won't go through (it's saved in the hotel's system as a credit card with Affirm under the name). I call Affirm to figure out what's happening, and they say that they can't help me, Priceline is who handles the money payment to hotels (note that during this time the agent for Affirm could not pull up my account and said his system was running slow). I call Priceline, who says they can't handle it, it should be Affirm, but maybe try Booking.com if Affirm is saying they can't help. So I try Booking.com and they also confirm that Affirm is the only one who can help with payment. I call back Affirm and they continue to say they can't help, until I'm finally able to speak to a supervisor while conferencing with Priceline (probably the only reason they finally revealed the truth) who says oh yes they are the ones who can help but their entire system is down, they have no ETA on a fix, and I'll have to wait around for 2 maybe 3 hours. At this point I had already been in the hotel lobby for 2 hours and just needed somewhere to sleep so I paid the hotel out of pocket, they said that if Affirm could get the payment through by the time I checked out then I would get a refund and it would be fine. It was not fine, Affirm never paid the hotel, so I paid Affirm and the hotel for this room. When I get back from my trip, I call the hotel and confirm that the charges on my card will not be reversed as Affirm still has not paid the hotel. I call Affirm to ask for a refund for the amount that I paid, when they were supposed to pay, and again they tell me that they can't handle payment, it all goes through Priceline. I call him on his lie and say that I already know that isn't true, I've already spoken to every party and someone from Affirm has already admitted that only Affirm can handle payment information. I ask him to put Priceline on the phone so we can all speak together to clarify exactly what needs to happen, because Affirm already put me through phone tag for hours the week before and I wasn't willing to go through that again. The supervisor (***) said he didn't have time to do that and I needed to handle this myself with Priceline because they wouldn't give me my money until Priceline gave them theirs (again, Priceline had nothing to do with the payment, they did not take money nor did they have the ability to process it). I do end up having to talk to Priceline after Affirm continues to refuse to help me and am having it escalated with them. But at this point Affirm has stolen my money and lied to me, wasting hours of my time and stranding me in a hotel lobby without any care for their fault in the issue.

Buyers Beware: This company looks great on paper
Buyers Beware: This company looks great on paper. Even their representatives are helpful. But there are numerous downsides to using this particular carrier. Let me tell you my story. I purchased a suit from one of my favorite designers, Trina Trunk. The purchase came timely and monthly installments were set up from March to September with no interests. So far so good. It was not until my June payment we begin having problems. Affirm, through the app, allows you to change your payment date. My payment was due June 10. Pay day was June 11. I changed my payment of 92.22 to coincide with my pay date. On June 11 my payment was set up for automatic pay. On June 10, Affirm sent me a text message advising me my payment was due. I understood but since I changed my payment date and they allowed it, I thought all was good. Unfortunately, it wasn't on June 11, I click on the text message and paid what I thought was 92.22. Because that's what the text said I was paying. The automatic draft however took the 92.22 and the remaining balance of $263.82. I'm not a rich person and these are difficult times. If you agree to pay one amount and they draft another, they should refund it to you asap. Well according to Affirm it will take 3-5 after it post to their 3rd party payer account to issue me a refund that may take 3-5 more days. Now since this was an automatic draft they say it takes up to two weeks to get it back to you. That was problem number one. Problem number two was this unauthorized payment cost $180 dollars in overdraft fees. My bank graciously reversed $60, but said that Affirm should refund the other $120. Interestingly, after I paid the $92.22, I got an email thanking me for agreeing to pay the $263.82. I immediately went to the app to find a number to call and advise them the charge was not authorized. I got absolutely no where. The app was difficult to maneuver. When I did get to the right place, I put in 4 complaints to alert them I did not authorize the payment. I got 4 form letters, with a ticket number, that says someone will call you in 24 hours. No call. When I checked my account I was -495. Finally, I found a number for them and called them. They issued another form letter stating IF they could reverse the charges they would but it still out take 6-10 days for the complete process. And they still did not admit the error or agree to pay my overdrafts. I thought this was a great company when I signed up as many of my favorite vendors use it. But I don't care. With QuadPay, AfterPay and Klarna out there, it is too competitive to bother myself with Affirm. Warning: If after you read this post, you still decide to use this company don't ever allow them to automatically draft it from your bank account. Put a credit card on file for payment so you want ever be in this predicament. I gave them one start because there is no zero. But if there was you know what their rating would be.
They'll rip you off!
They'll rip you off! Damaged my credits! I over paid on my loan. In recognizing this, after multiple inquiries, over 4 months, lengthy phone calls, if you can even find a contact number, and speaking with two representatives who even saw and inferred that my payment on my loans were overpaid, the supervisor I spoke with was telling me different. Upon reviewing my loan disclosure nowhere on there does it say that I had to pay what the supervisor was then stating me on the phone. They were saying that I still owed over $300 dollars when in fact I had paid what was on my loan agreement. The supervisor then told me that I was responsible for 18 payments, not the loan payment amount on my loan disclosure. I told her this was asinine. As the loan disclosure specifically listed what I was to pay back. She then tried to tell me that that did not include my down payment. I told her that the loan disclosure and the way it was written showed what I was responsible for which I had paid that plus some. She still continued and insisted that I owed money on my loan. Which in fact I had overpaid by $120 and insisted that I still owed over $300 dollars. The supervisor then went on to further explained that the other representatives for the company had read it incorrectly and apologize for the misinformation. However, I insisted that the way it was written on the loan disclosure did not show any amount that she was currently stating to which I owe. I had in fact paid what was on the disclosure, in excess. I also insisted and told her that the loan disclosure was a legally binding document, and nowhere on there did it say I was to pay more than what was showing. She however still continue to insist that I owed more than what I was shown to have to repay. Stating that the down payment was not part of my repayment to affirm. Nowhere on the loan disclosure does it state that your deposit is not part of your repayments. I told her that this appears to be an oversight on their *** those in charge of writing the loan disclosures. The inconsistency between what was on the loan disclosure and what she was saying were in fact complete opposites and in fact I was to pay in excess of what was on my loan agreement disclosure letter. If that were the case hen it needed to be stated on the loan agreement that the amount I was do to repay, minus my down payment, was in fact what she was stating. Due to their poorly-written loan disclosure, lack of clarity within the loan agreement, and complete breakdown of loan repayment, this company then tries to *** you for more than what you initially signed your contract for. DO NOT USE THEM! CROOKS! The supervisor refused to take responsibility for the poorly written loan disclosure and lack of information to be included in there. She continued to insist that I owed them money, despite what was being shown in my loan agreement disclosure letter.
If I could I would give Affirm ZERO star rating but that is NOT an option
If I could I would give Affirm ZERO star rating but that is NOT an option. I started my process with trying to purchase phones from ting.com and Affirm was their 2nd party financing company. Affirm sent me a text stating my loan was approved for more than 3x the amount of the cost for one ***- so I felt confidant in ordering two *** A32 5G phones through Ting.com. The process wasn't as straight forward as I thought it was so I called Ting.com and their agent talked me through the process of how to order and put the phones on Affirm loan. The process only allowed me to order one phone at a time so Ting Agent stayed with me through the second transaction. Affirm told me after the first phone I had a balance left on my loan and I chose the 12 month payment plan at ZERO Interest. After I ordered the second phone the balance of course reflected that I was still working on one loan I was approved for. Ting agent had affirmed the second phone was ordered even though I had not received a confirmation email. Fast forward 5 hours I still have NOT received confirmation email for second *** A32 5G so I called Affirm who had confirmed there was only 1 order placed- I had two choices either cancel order of first phone or call Ting. So I called Ting and they confirmed that must have been a glitch somewhere the second *** A32 5G was indeed not showing up in their system. So I went ahead and ordered the second phone again. At the beginning of the process of ordering my second phone Affirm showed I still had a balance on my original loan that would cover the second phone so I proceeded to order the second phone . I agreed to the 12 month repayment plan. 2 days later Affirm sent a text to my cellphone telling me my second phone had an interest rate . I called Affirm to let them know of their mistake. Affirm told me they had NOT made a mistake my second phone was purchased on a whole new loan - even though I was told through out the entire process that I was purchasing both phones on ONE loan. I tried explaining to two people on August 5 *** my purchases had been covered under the first loan. I even explained in order to be approved for a second loan I had to give out my name, birthdate, and cellphone number and get a text message with the loan approval amount - that NEVER happened! After 2 more emails and two more people telling me I had applied for two separate loans I finally decided I'd pay off the second phone so as to avoid the interest rate they felt they deserved for deceiving m. The person who took the my information tried to add and additional 76 cents onto the purchase price claiming it was interest rate even though I had only purchased the *** phone 4 days ago! I asked to speak to a person with a brain - he informed me he could only transfer me to his supervisor . The supervisor didn't have a brain either! I hope to goodness no one makes the mistake of trusting Affirm.com like I did.
Horrible, lying company and lousy customer service
Horrible, lying company and lousy customer service. I purchased a trip from Expedia through them in April , and decided that same day just to pay it off instead of being hostage to the interest. My husband was overseas on military deployment and his orders were extended so he wouldn't have made it home in time to take this vacation with us, so I canceled it with Expedia and they issued a refund November 2nd (for our transportation while there) and the 2nd part of our refund for the flights and hotel on November 6th. Unfortunately, they could only refund it back to Affirm since that was how it was paid to them. Affirm tells me that since it has been longer than 6 months, they could only issue me a paper check (even though they have my checking account info and take money from it weekly for other loans). This is annoying since it's 2021 and technology allows anyone to send money instantly to any account. So we wait. No check. We have been dealing with customer service trying to find out when they will issue this check, and we keep being told different things, but one thing that is consistent is that it will be 30 days (but the starting date is always different). I spoke with a supervisor 2 weeks ago who told me he was expediting my check, but here it is December 1st and still no check was sent. We just got off the phone with them, and yet again, we are being told 30 days. But now they are saying 30 days from November 22! It's already been a month tomorrow, and now they are (again) changing the date! The supervisor gave me a confirmation number for our conversation about expediting our check, yet they don't have any record of this for some reason. I even asked *** the "supervisor" before hanging up if he would transfer me to the expediting department because I didn't want to hang up without any information and he told me, "well, I'm a supervisor so if I say it will be expedited, they will do it..." and told they would email me when it happened and to just wait a couple days. That was 2 weeks ago and I received no email, nothing was expedited, we have made 3 more calls to this company since then, and nothing has happened except more lies and more confusion from them. They have no right to this money. They were paid off the same day the loan was taken out almost 8 months ago, so this is my money they are withholding. If I chose to not pay them, I would go to collections. Yet, they don't pay me MY money and nothing happens. Companies need to be held accountable for their actions. They would go bankrupt if they went to collections for every account and every person they decide not to refund and pay. Horrible business. If I didn't have other loans through them already, I would never deal with them again. No new loans will be made with them. And if this was a good, legit company, an actual supervisor (from this country and who knows what's going on) would contact me and make this right. But they don't. I just keep getting the run around from these theives.

More businesses are becoming more about money and less care about quality customer service
More businesses are becoming more about money and less care about quality customer service.Since COVID plagued the world, there has been a spike in inflation that led me to cut costs. One of the reductions was changing my cell phone carrier through *** over to their prepaid plan named Visible. After using *** for 2 months, my iPhone 8 Plus started causing me problems, so I decided to apply for a new phone to see how much my installments would be each month. I wasnt aware that Visible, was using a financial company by the name of Affirm, and I had never heard of them before then. At first, I was hesitant because I knew this would cause them to run my credit, and I didnt want a hard inquiry on my report, which would affect my score. After thinking it through, I decided to proceed with the application but didnt get any further than entering my personal information before receiving a statement indicating an existing account? I've never heard of this company, and if there's an existing account, then what did I purchase, when did I purchase, and is there a balance because I've never received any notifications through my only email address, junk mail, call, or text about an open account with this company. They also kept posting a message saying they sent a verification code to the email address on file. Guess what? I never received those emails and they weren't any messages in my junk mail. Of course, at that very moment, I can't rest now because I'm fearing the worse in this situation, which is identity theft. If y'all are sending an email to the person on file and I'm not receiving it then what email address or phone number do you have? I'm a stable person so I don't change much info on my life. The only personal information that I've changed within the past five to six years was my cell number, but my name, DOB, SS#, and email address have always been the same. I chatted with the Visible rep, who provided limited help but verified that all my info on file was correct and suggested I contact Affirm. Attempted to contact Affirm but they don't have a convenient and easy way to contact them and suggest articles and a live chat section. This is even more frustrating because here I am nervous because I don't know if this could be identity theft and need answers from a live person but after putting in the time to find the chat section, it has complaint options already set for you to choose from, and none of them related to what I needed. I chose the complaint close to my issue and was allowed to finally type my frustration while becoming *** because there is nothing more distressing than to be in distress and having to take more time typing it in 10 min than saying it in 2 min. After all of that, it replied that if I couldn't verify the information on file then they couldn't be help me? At this point I'm helpless. I somehow discovered a contact number today and spoke with a live foreigner, which made it even more alarming because I couldn't understand him and they are some of the ones among scammers, who are known to scam. Anyway, while on the call I told the guy that I was calling because I had concerns about an account being created in my name while he repeatedly asked me for the cellphone number on file. My whole point for calling was because I never had an account but he continued to ask me to verify the phone number on file. I gave him my previous number and current number and he said those weren't correct and he couldn't help me. This has led me to check all three reports for anything suspicious. In the meantime, I'm requesting for this existing account using my name, DOB, and social security number to be closed. I never opened an account with Affirm, and I didn't authorize anyone to open an account with Affirm using my information. Also, I will be reporting back the outcome on this matter so that customers can see it and be made aware.

On December 30th, I applied for a loan for a car and was denied because it showed I was in collections with affirm. After much confusion, (because I havent purchased anything in years through affirm), many phone calls to your customer care team, one of your associates told me she feared I had been a victim of fraud. She filed a case for me, and told me that someone from the fraud department would contact me in 3-5 business days to further question my claim. Well, no one called and this morning I received an email stating I was liable for this. First off, had your fraud department done their job, they would see that I have not had this phone number for almost 3 years (apparently its as easy as having the account holders phone number to get into their account), they would also see that all these purchases were initially paid for by a Mastercard that is not in my name. How do I know this? The zip code is different, I dont have a Mastercard, and I didnt receive and goods or services from the company in question. I want someone from affirm corporate to contact me and escalate this issue. I want a thorough investigation. I have a case number. Fix it.
I attempted a purchase transaction with BJs wholesale on December 24th using an Affirm Debit card. The transaction was denied by BJs payment system. Affirms system immediately took a $110.00 down payment from my checking account. I immediately contacted them and they told me I needed to contact BJs . I advised them that the order was rejected and never went through their system. I told them I had taken a screenshot as proof. They provided me with an email to send them the screenshot which I have multiple times. I have followed up almost daily since then and asked to email proof again to which I have responded I have already sent. I have been told on multiple occasions when calling, they will escalate but I still have not received a refund of my down payment. I have asked to speak to a supervisor and have spoken to several but I still get the same response but no resolution or refund. At one point. I received acknowledgment from an Affirm CRS confirming I was not responsible for the order but they will not resolve the issue by refunding the $110. that was drafted from my account.
In September I ordered 2 iPhone pro maxs the card was never used i had to reorder the phones causing another open loan for the same products for the same amount. I requested the card that wasnt actually used to be disputed so I didnt have to pay twice for a product . Since they ended up cancelling the incorrect card and I had already processed a dispute I tried to get the request cancelled so I could pay atleast one of the loans. There has not been a resolution and every time I try to get a resolution I am given 3-5 business days and someone will reach out to me I have called 3-5 days and since this card is now past due (cant pay on it while its in dispute) not due to my negligence. They tell me its out of my hands preventing me from purchasing other desired items with their company. I stared the dispute(for original concern) in October I understand they have 90 days/2 billing cycles to come up with a resolution which they have failed to do so .
I am not liable for this debt with AFFIRM *** and do not have a contract with AFFIRM ***. They did not provide me with the original application like I asked.
On 05/29/22 I took a loan with Affirm in the amount of 150$, devided into 12 payment of 14$, to buy some clothing from DollsKills store
On 05/29/22 I took a loan with Affirm in the amount of 150$, devided into 12 payment of 14$, to buy some clothing from DollsKills store. When items arrived, couple of them did not fit. So started a return. When store received my items, i was not seen adjustment made to my loan by Affirm. After contacting store, and getting a reply that refund was issued, i still was not seen adjustment to my loan. I created merchant dispute with Affirm on July 9, 2022. When i created dispute i could see notice saying that cases like this usually take up to 21 days to resolve. 3 days after starting dispute, i got reply from Affirm asking for info. I sent it. Time passed by i was not getting any replies. Mind you, when dispute starts, you are unable to make you monthly payment, the option is gone from profile. Almost 4 months later (less than 120 days), i contact them asking what is going on, no reply. On 12/01/22 (150 days after starting dispute) I get email saying, that adjustment to my loan was made, hour later another email saying "my loan is charged off, due to not making payment for more than 120 day". Payment were paused by Affirm due dispute being in process! I contacted customer service (located in other countries) the same day, 1st time i got hung up on, 2nd time after 40+ minutes, i was told i have to wait for probably 1 business day for it to clear up and option to start making payments to appear. On 12/05/22 i chat with customer service, they said i can call them to make payment as system will not allow to pay it off from my account. Sounded worrisome to me to give my debit number over the phone. On 12/06/22 i chat again with another person, they said i can call them to pay, and they will not ask for personal info, as they have it on file. Today I DM'em with Affirm on Instagram, they said they sent my loan to collection and they do not own it anymore, i can call them and they will tell me where the loan went. Affirm is at fault for dragging dispute for 150 days!

I tried to open the Affirm App and it allowed me access using my phone number xxx-xxx-*** However I could not continue with the application because when I submitted the social security number it tells me that it appears that I have an open account attached to the SS#. The phone number's last 4 of 9447 and iCloud email are not mine Someone has fraudulently opened an account using my SS#. I called customer service three times and the robotic response was they cannot help me nor can they block this account because although I have the correct SS#, the other info were wrong which they won't release to me There is no fraud department nor would they give me the corporate email or number to file this complaint This is a serious matter because it appears that Affirm's vetting process of opening accounts are subject to fraud. The worst response of the personnel I spoke with is that she cannot help me and that this has happened to other customers and that I am told to go to the social security department to fix this and report fraudulent use of my SS#. I have to warn customers to AVOID using Affirm company because they will not help you even if your social security number was used fraudulently. I asked them to at least flag that open account as fraudulent but she said she cannot do that . I may end up escalating this to legal as this is so wrong on all levels. Their *** is not helpful at all and their response is scripted. Affirm should have a department handling fraud and their customer service personnel should take this matter seriously and be able to help or direct unsuspecting customers to the proper channels and not leave them hanging and angry

Hi, I booked a hotel stay via booking.com using a loan from affirm.com. Affirm provided me a virtual card to use for the reservation, with card ending in ***. Hotel details as follow; *** Confirmation number: *** Pin: *** Dates: july *** When I arrived on the hotel, front desk said that the card provided was declined. So instead using it, I used my own debit card ending in *** to pay for the stay. Right after we arrived in our room, I called booking.com to report the issue and they told that they sent an email to the property to confirm that the card *** was never used, that I dont think the property responded. So, affirm.com still charging me of the amount on the loan. I opened a dispute to them and been following up a lot of times. And like 3 days ago, I checked on my affirm account and I found the loan being charged off by affirm. Without even updating me of the status of the dispute, and I called their customer service and they said that the loan will be transferred to collection agency. And the reason that they close the dispute is that the merchant (booking.com) is not responding to them. The customer representative told me that he is reopening the dispute, but I dont know if what will happen next. I dont have any bad report on my credit report, so Im afraid that they will just close it again. Hoping that you will help me with this matter. Thanks so much.

I got scammed for purchasing something that had false advertising, after contacting the merchant via Instagram dms (our only form of contact)
I got scammed for purchasing something that had false advertising, after contacting the merchant via Instagram dms (our only form of contact) they stopped responding to me and blocked me. They never answer their phone or email. Upon doing more research, the establishment does not exist. There is no place under that name at the address they claim to be at. They do not have a website. I made the $249.39 purchase through Affirm. Since the merchant is clearly no help, I called Affirm and opened a dispute. After about a week, I finally received an update from Affirm via email stating that they took the merchants side with this. I genuinely cannot even imagine what kind of proof that fake establishment could have given Affirm to make them agree with them. I am not sure if they photo shopped my name onto a fake schedule trying to pretend like I got the procedure done or what, but I am now paying for some thing that I have never gotten done to an establish meant that literally does not exist. I have all of the proof to show this as well, and I sent it all to Affirm. I have probably spoke to 30 different agents, every single one of them there is a language barrier, so it is very very hard to explain my issue. I have to go into detail every single time and all the phone calls are at least 45 minutes long if Im LUCKY. I never get any updates from Affirm unless I go out of my way to call them again or I have to resubmit all of my evidence again because every time I call Affirm, each agent tells me something different, saying that they cannot see all of the evidence that I have sent in MULTIPLE times now. This has been an absolute nightmare for me, I cannot believe how much evidence I have proving that I never got this procedure done and again, THAT THE ESTABLISHMENT DOES NOT EXIST, and Affirm STILL has been 0 help. I am literally losing sleep over this because this is a big purchase for me. I do not have $250 to just to lose. I am extremely upset over this and so tired.

I had flight trips cancelled due to the issues with *** Airlines from 12/22/23 to 12/26/23. I was scheduled to fly to ***, *** and reserved a car at ***. I made my reservations through Priceline and choose to make my payments in installments using affirm. When my flights were cancelled, I contacted Priceline and cancelled my reservations. I've received confirmation of the cancellations with Priceline but affirm is still billing me for the items. I've reached out to their customer service, submitted documentation and they still have not resolved the issue. I'm being told that it could take up to 15 business days for them to conduct an investigation and that I would need to make payments on the items that were cancelled until a decision is made. I informed them that I will not pay for items that were cancelled. The first payment is due on 1/19/23. I'm not paying for items that were cancelled within a reasonable period.

On or about September 10 *** refunded my ticket purchase for a cancelled flight. The ticket was purchased using affirm. Ive called multiple multiple times. Last month they said my case had expired the 60 day refund window but Ive provided evidence that a case was started on October 27. Yesterday-January 7. I was given a convoluted explanation that since my purchase was made with an Affirm virtual card (#***) that affirm would have to initiate a dispute with the bank of that card and that dispute window is 120 days and yesterday happened to be the 120th day and it was too late. *** spent hours on this if you include hold times. Meanwhile I am still having to make payments and accrue interest. Its frustrating as the customer service agents are just following a script and indifferent to my concerns, and when I reach a supervisor they dont follow through.I wish affirm to declare the loan refunded and for me to be free of future payments as well as a refund of the payments Ive made.
I dont mind paying what I owe, even if there's interest
I dont mind paying what I owe, even if there's interest. What I won't do is continuing paying on orders that have been zeroed out - everything returned and refunded - $0 balance.First off, I can't upstand which order is which/what Affirm loan goes to what Amazon order. When I get a refund, I literally have to search through each loan with Affirm, for exact/matching refund amount. That's crazy! When I find the return(s) that should say zero balance due (refund issed), because I had returned the whole order, Affirm has is looking like I still owe payments. Affirm is placing these refunds just anywhere. In fact, I see a billion different Affirm loans. That doesn't make sense. I'm trying to tell Affirm that this order has 1 item and it's been returned. Or this order has 5 items and all items have been returned. So, where's my money? It's as if I'm in a never ending "payment due" with Affirm. They're stealing my money. They're keeping money that I've paid, when I no longer have the item. In fact, not only are they keeping my money, but they're still charging me as if there's more items in the order(s).This is what I don't like. This is what I had called them several times to complain about, asking them to fix this. This is what I had to eventually make a dispute about with them. All to no avail. So here I am at Complaintsboard.com. I'm hoping that you can fix this. Of course, my resolution for this is refunds! I would've never returned items/orders, if I wasn't going to get my money back.I have screenshots of different RETURNED AND REFUNDED items/orders from Amazon. I also see some refunds are still in the "pending" state. There's just too many to insert in my Complaintsboard.com complaint. It'll be easier to give the Amazon order numbers/items returned/amounts refunded or pending.Even doing that is a lot. But, I can do that, if needed. We'll, I'm sure I need my verification. For the record, Affirm loans doesn't match up with the Amazon orders and of course, it's not matching up with my refunds.

This has been an ongoing issue with Affirm and their connection with ShopPay
This has been an ongoing issue with Affirm and their connection with ShopPay. I have used Affirm and ShopPay many times with no hiccup. The problem arose when I shopped on Instagram in my Pet Account associated with the email make4mutts, rather than my main account associated with the email lipcandie1. As mentioned I have shopped previously under both accountsn and only recently in September had an issue thathas yet to be resolved. In fact everybody keeps claiming there is no problem, that I am approved and they will fix. All lies and nobody has attempted to correct the issue at hand. Facts: March 20, 2022 I purchased from Wear *** and then August 12, 2022 I shopped and ShopPay automatically linked me to my makeup4mutts This was done through my clicking on an Instagram *** and purchasing with Rifruf.September 12,2022 I purchased from SurferCat through pets instagram account again only this time on an extended payment plan. I believe this is where the issue arose. This account is linked to makeup4muts, but I was never informed of these changes. I had also shopped and purchased with other vendors with my Insta acct associated with lipcandie1 email. These were always paid off before a new acct opened. Fast forward to end of Sept I try to purchase with Dollhouse (my business products that I have used shoppay before in March) linked to my lipcandie1 email & denied saying cant confirm my identity. My affirm shows lipcandie email. *** shows lipcandie1 but after many many calls I learn shop pay has me as makeup4mutts now. They refuse to fix it. They claim they approved loans. Affirm claims they never denied & have approved. Sept 28, case opened then told they would escalate then closed same day. *** Nov 5 case *** opened & closed with nothing done Nov 5 again escalated new case *** assured after had me download app that I cant change email myself and IT has to. Nov. 8 closed saying approved yet still being denied. 2 hrs on calls & not fixed.

On March 10th, 2022 I booked a rental through Priceline for my trip
On March 10th, 2022, I secured a rental via Priceline for my travels. Affirm approved a loan of $444.00 for me. At my destination, I visited Hertz, which partners with Priceline. They offered a promotion for a Tusla at $158.20. I mentioned my Affirm loan, but the Hertz representative suggested using my credit card instead. I complied and was charged $158.20 on my Amex. Later, Affirm informed me of an upcoming charge on my card. I reached out to Affirm to clarify the situation, as I had followed Hertz's advice. Affirm claimed they had sent the funds to Priceline, so I contacted Priceline's supervisor, who was unaware of the issue. Subsequently, Affirm reported me to the credit bureau. I provided evidence to my creditor that my card was charged, and the loan was untouched. Despite this, Affirm insists their information is accurate. My attempts to resolve this with Affirm have been fruitless. This wrongful act has damaged my credit score by 60 points. I am considering legal action to rectify this situation. I possess all relevant documents, including my Priceline confirmation and Amex statement, to support my claims, yet the company remains uncooperative.

On August 23rd 2022 I ordered two swimsuits from BoutineLA using affirm (shop pay)
On August 23rd 2022 I ordered two swimsuits from BoutineLA using affirm (shop pay). I had issues with the merchandise so I returned it to the company. The company never registered the return with BoutineLA so I ended up having to dispute it through my bank because when I tried disputing it though Affirm, I was told on the website it was too late. It was 4 payments of $19.50 that I disputed through my bank and the bank settled it out. I am now showing a past due payment on Affirm because they kicked the last dispute back from my bank. I called affirm and was told to submit a dispute for the charge, again I told them the website would not allow me to so they entered it for me. I was told I was going to receive an email to reply to with proof of the dispute claim I am making, so I waited on the email that never came. I call Affirm back up on November *** am told an email to send the proof to since I never received the email to reply to ([protected]@shop.affirm.com). I send the proof and still I don't hear anything so I call back again on November 28th and I am told no proof was ever received and told to send it again so I sent it again. I called again on December 2nd after still not hearing anything and am told 1. they did not see any "proof", then after saying "oh I found it!" I was told "we have 90 days to review the case so you will just have to wait". I called again today, December 28th, to ask for an update and still no one is able to tell me anything about this case. Every time I send an email I receive an email back saying I will hear something in 1-3 business days and still to this day I have not heard a word about this case. I am making such a big deal because I do not want this to get charged off and effect my credit for merchandise I already sent back to the company and they received back in September. Affirm does not seem to be taking this dispute seriously and every time I call to get even an update, I am met with no one knowing what is actually going on.

About two months ago I received several text messages about account purchases I have had several previous accounts with Affirm over the last few years and do not have one currently. I contacted firm told them about the messages I was receiving and that I did not have an active account the gentleman on the phone confirmed I did not have an active account said somebody must have missed keyed my telephone number as their own on a loan and he would release my phone number from the other account and I can re-enter it on my app. I re-entered it on my app and assumed it had been fixed I then attempted to make a purchase from *** 11/7/22 and was told it was giving them a message that I had to call them in person to get the approval done. I called they said the issue was with my phone number and they had to have the number released I told them about the previous contact and they said that it already been done. I requested a manager and the manager said the issue would be resolved in four days and they would contact me back. No contact received, Monday of this week I called them again and attempted to complete my order and again encountered the same problem with my telephone number. I called talk to another person he said it should be resolved but he would escalate it once again and I would probably still receive an email the next day that it been finished. Today again I contacted them and it still has not been resolved I asked to speak to to the department in person and to provide whatever identification was necessary so I could fix the issue and complete my transaction. I purchased the item I was after on my credit card and was told by the vendor they could charge my card back and re-charge it to a firm based on the firm statement that it would be fixed in four days. I am now almost out of time to charge this to Affirm and get my card refunded and Im getting no resolution from a firm to resolve the issue and establish this account with them. Getting a run around

My complaint is about how affirm handled my case, the resolution they came up with, how long it took for them to make a decision, and how many departments and emails I had to send in order to get a response. I filed a dispute on 7/28/22 because the merchant I tried purchasing tires from online sent my order to the wrong address which *** filed another complaint about on a separate case with the Complaintsboard.com. I sent proof to affirm per their request proving I never received the items I ordered, for 4 months affirm basically ignored all my messages. In the end they are holding me responsible for paying the loan on an order I never received. Theyre saying CarID (the merchant) is issuing me a store credit for the order? That is not right. If a customer placed a an order online and uses the loan option at checkout but the customer never get the order, the merchant should cancel or refund the customer and the loan company should close out any money owed because nothing was ever given to the client/customer. Instead *** is allowing CarID to give me a store credit which means Im still responsible for paying the loan. This makes no sense and seems like a scam. Let me say that again Im being given a store credit for an order that I never received. an order that I tried canceling, and have been trying to get refunded for 4 months. Affirm closed my dispute in favor of the merchant because the merchant is going to give me a store credit. Which by the way I still havent received anything.I want my loan closed and my order refunded. I shouldnt have to pay anything to anyone for something I never received. This should be illegal to do to customers. I have more documents proving I never received my online order if you need more documents dont hesitate to ask. This has been going on for 4 months, Im tired of dealing with it I just want my refund which I feel I should have been given a long time ago considering I never even got what I ordered.

On November 29 I received a phone about my Affrim account and possible fraudulent activity
On November 29 I received a phone about my Affrim account and possible fraudulent activity. I was inform that some one created a virtual card with my account and that it was connected with a phone that I don't own. I was instructed by the person on the phone in order to prevent the charges from going through I must move the money may to my phone by creating another virtual card in the amount of *** a one time verification to my phone I went through the process. Once the call was over I decided to call the Affirm customer care line to confirm the call i just received was legitimate. Once on the phone with the fraud department they confirmed that they call I received was fake and that the virtual cards had been used with *** and Paypal, which i told them I had made any purchaces with either of those places. He inform be he would open an investigation, and i would be contacted with 3-5 business days. The very next morning I received an email from Affirm stating that I would be held responsible for the two virtual cards. I then call them back and spoke with another rep and was told to wait 24 hour because the cards were still "processing" and nothing could be done until the fund clear with the merchant, which I was told to cards under the merchant name of Cancel. December 2nd i get a notification that the fund had been processed, so I called Affirm back to find out how and why I would be held responsible for these virtual cards. At this point I asked to speak with a manger. The manger said that I would have to complete an affidavit with a signed written statement explaining the event along with a copy of my drivers license. She went on to say that the investigation would take up to 30 days to complete. I completed the affidavit and emailed it that day. It currently December 5th, and I just received and email from Affirm stating I'm still accountable and the decision is final

I never received any tickets, I did not attend the event, and no one was able to help me resolve this issue. I need to contact Universe tickets". I emailed the new company, and they were able to confirm the tickets were purchased through them". They never contacted me, emailed me the tickets either. As of today, I have been informed by *** they will not issue a refund for this event, and The Affirm company has informed me "I still need to pay the total amount of $531 for the tickets". How is this fair to the customer? I have contacted *** for the last few months to get this resolved and I was given the wrong information, I never attended the event, it has passed. This was the fault of the Affirm company.

I placed a order for 4 yards of white beaded lace fabric for my daughters wedding dress from the merchant ARKANGELFABRICS.com. Order #*** for $399.96 using Affirm (Loan ID: *** as a protected source of payment with a deposit of $100 coming out of my back account on June 14, 2022. Before purchasing the fabric, I wanted to reach out to the merchant to make sure the fabric was the right color. On 7/26/2022, I placed an order with The Stray FCEGLOBAL LLC for a Thule Transporter Combi Tilt-Down Hitch Cargo Box 665C, which cost $329, and I chose to pay with Affirm. After ordering, I doubted the low price, lack of tax, and Affirm being the sole payment method. The company's website and confirmation email seemed minimal. Online research suggested the company might be fraudulent. I contacted them the same day for a refund and received a prompt email promising a refund within 24 hours, but that was the last communication from them. Subsequent emails to the company were undeliverable, and they provided no phone contact. I opened a case with Affirm due to the lack of response and the absence of the product. Affirm took from 8/17/2022 to 10/12/2022 to resolve the case and issued a refund. However, this issue negatively impacted my credit report, which Affirm has not corrected despite my efforts. I request that Affirm remove this from my credit report to prevent further damage.

I utilized Affirm.com well I used their mobile application on IOS to purchase a flight with Gotogate in 12/21
I utilized Affirm.com well I used their mobile application on IOS to purchase a flight with Gotogate in 12/21. I was unable to take the trip as I had Covid-19.I tried many times to reach Gotogate. I was given the run around and they did everything they could to avoid cancelling, to change, or even refund me for the flight. I contacted Avianca Airline with Gotogate on the line. *** tried to lie and say they were not able to refund me or cancel the flight. *** advised Gotogate to obtain the needed documents (cancellation email ,covid-19 test results, and the refund request from Gotogate). No one from Gotogate reached out to me, I made several attempts to reach someone when I did I was advised to wait for the email which never arrived. Fast forward I reached out to Affirm to request a refund and was informed to reach out to the merchant. I informed them I have done that. Time goes by and I received a collection call from Affirm. I explained to them why I feel like I do not need to make any more payments. I was told I could initiate a dispute with Affirm and with my back. I submitted the dispute on 10/19/2022. I was told the calls would stop, a halt would be placed on the payments while the dispute was in process. 10/24/22 I received a call I explained to them with the previous person said. I also informed the gentleman that I was unable to submit all of the documents for the dispute via the app. He sent me an email, I responded with all of the documents and I was informed to wait *** business days. Time passes and I call for an update. I was told to wait an additional 3-5 business days that passes. A collection person called and I asked for an update. I was advised to wait another 3-5 business days. The Thanksgiving holiday passed. Black Friday I was told I need to make payment before they charge my account off on 12/26/2022 and send it to a collection agency. I would told I needed to make payments until further notice. I received another collection call and I asked for an update. I was told a notification would be sent to the team that was handling the dispute but a timeframe for a resolution was not provided. I asked for a manager and spoke to ***. He said the dispute should have been filed within *** days. I explained I was not aware I could dispute the transaction until his representative explained it to me in October. He proceeded to say you still need to make the payments until the dispute is resolved and if it is approved we will refund you what you have paid. He said the dispute could take up to *** to continue to reach out to the merchant I explained to him I did not know their policy, I have tried reaching the merchant without success. Now Affirm is giving me the run around and just asking for additional time when I was told several times it would take 10 -15 business days and an additional 3- 5 business days 2-3 times. I do not want a service I was unable to use to affect my credit and I want my money that I have paid thus far back $381.68. I don't think my request is unreasonable given the circumstances. I did not know I would get Covid and definitely did not want it.

Got a email from Affirm today saying my loan had been approved. I didnt have any balance with affirm nor was I planning on ordering anything from them. Check my account to see a $6,144 balance on my account. Try to get ahold of them is like pulling teeth. I need this off my account before it affects my credit.
On 10/28/22 I made a purchase using an Affirm loan #D03T-68NH. I paid $76.59 on 10/30/22, $76.58 on 11/14/22, $76.58 on 11/28/22, and $76.58 on 12/12/22 to Bird Innovations for a smart bird feeder with a solar roof and additional attachment with complimentary November shipping. On 12/7/22 I reached out to the vendor Bird Innovations via email because I had not received the smart bird feeder with solar roof and additional attachment with complimentary November shipping. I received no reply. I contacted the vendor Bird Innovations again on 12/11/22 and 12/14/22 and still got no reply. In my last message to the vendor, I stated I wanted a refund if I did not receive the item by 12/16/22. On 12/17/22, Bird Innovations responded with a tracking number and an estimated delivery date of 12/17/22. When I checked the tracking number, it showed that the number did not exist. I called the customer service number, who directed me to Shop Pay. Shop Pay then redirected me back to Affirm. I spoke to someone at Affirm on or about 12/29/22 who advised me to file a dispute with my bank. I filed a dispute with my bank, who issued a provisional credit. I provided evidence to my bank, who ultimately investigated and determined that I should receive a full refund. From January to February 2023, my Affirm loan for this item was showing as 'late.' I called Affirm multiple times, and they stated there was nothing the agents could do for me because 'they are only the loan company and I have to pay the loan.' I finally had one agent tell me to open a dispute in Affirm's help center, which I did. I did not receive any more information from Affirm about my dispute until March 20, 2023, when I noticed I was in collections. Upon opening the dispute in the help center, it appeared my information and evidence were never reviewed and were deleted. The reply from the agent doesn't match the information I've provided. They closed my case without investigating. I called again for help on 3/28/23, and the agent said he could only enter a note and then hung up on me.
