Incorrect amount refund
Agoda booking ID [protected].
Hi, I would like to complain my booking under Agoda. This was initially cancelled by Agoda, and as a token of apology, Agoda ask me to book an alternative booking which will absorb amount equivalent to my original booking amount which is $322.52sgd. They said in the attach email thread that the maximum amount that can book is upto SGD 322.53. If my new booking rate can be covered under SGD 322.53, Agoda will absorb all. However, even if my new booking rate is over SGD 322.53, Agoda will compensate only SGD 322.53. After my booking, I already send the receipt and they only refund me the difference in the amount value from my original booking. Please kindly help to solve this issue as this is a very frustrating in my part. Thanks

Accommodation booking
I booked a hotel called the bellbird in the hunter valley NSW. There was no information at all about the room or amenities. We arrived later about 7pm Saturday the 12th of December. We found ourselves in a 3 metre square room with barely enough room to walk around the bed. NO amenities at all, not even a tv, house phone, or anything else you would normally get for $100.00 per night room. The bathroom and toilet where down the hall some 30 m away. It was to be shared by at least 6-8 other rooms. The shower was filthy with a moldy shower curtain and tiles. The toilet was at least 50 years old and you had just inches to squeeze past the door. There was no toilet paper, we had to supply our own. We consider Agoda completely lacking in their duty of care to inform us of the product they were selling us at a highly inflated price. We demand a full refund by way of cancellation of our credit card payment. Booking # is [protected]
Booking complaint
I booked for 2 days stay at The Quorum Hotel, Mysore on www.agoda.com and an amount of Rs.6710.00 was debited from bank account on 08.12.2020. But i did not receive confirmation of my booking. I contacted the Hotel but my booking was not confirmed. I didn't receive the booking confirmation and any booking ID also.

Hotel cancellation
In February 2020 I cancelled a two night hotel room booking for 4th to 6th October four days after making the booking. The terms of the booking were with Free Cancellation. I was quite taken aback however to see on my bank statement that Agoda had taken the full amount of £111 on 5th October.
Between 14th and 19th October I emailed Agoda numerous times repeatedly providing the same information and attaching the booking confirmation, cancellation date and bank statement showing the amount deducted. Each email and phone call to Agoda was responded to by a different Customer Service agent, repeatedly requesting the same information and giving the same excuses again and again: denying that they had taken any money, that I had used a different Agoda account and that my email was different from the one used to make the booking and they would only deal with my query if I used that email address. Lastly, Agoda then claimed that I had made a SECOND booking - for the same hotel, dates and for exactly the same amount - £111. They then produced another fictional booking reference to back up this claim!
Over several days I was forced to run around in circles by Agoda Customer Service, but getting nowhere. All of which seems designed to wear people down until they give up. This nightmare experience has left me very stressed and upset - belatedly I've now become aware of the dozens of negative reviews on sites such as Trustpilot, many detailing similar experiences to mine. Unfortunately I had hitherto been unaware of Agoda's sharp practices and scamming tactics to defraud customers which seem to be commonplace!
I have now opened a dispute with my credit card who have informed me that Agoda are continuing to claim that I had made a second booking. If that had been the case why then have Agoda taken the full amount of the 2 night booking when it clearly states on my booking confirmation that one night's charge is taken for a no-show or if the booking is cancelled within the 24 hours prior to the booking? Why also would I have made a SECOND IDENTICAL booking for two people for the same dates?
After my nightmare experience with Agoda I would therefore strongly urge everybody to please avoid booking anything on the Agoda site to avoid being defrauded and use an alternative reputable honest booking site!
The unit that i booked was already booked by someone in airbnb site and already not available on the my booking date.

Complaint: not happy with service"allan naidoo" booking 350586602
On about 22 October 2020, I made a booking online with Agoda and very specifically requested and ticked the selection "Front Sea Facing Unit", I was happy with the booking as it assured me that there was a "Free Cancellation Policy" on this booking. Payment in the amount of 176.76 USD was requested and I gladly paid with my credit card. When I received my confirmation - It read"Rooms allocated on arrival" and found out from the hotel that this is not a "Front Sea Facing Unit" - it would be a "South Facing unit" - looking at an adjacent building and no sea views. This was very upsetting and I chatted with Agoda's call centre - I stated if I do not get a Front sea facing unit as I booked online and paid for then I would cancel, She then replied"This is a non refundable booking" etc, and that I would have to contact the Hotel if I need changes... This was causing me so much of pain, I am 63years old and wanted a break from this virus as we were locked in for many months here in Cape Town, (Blue waters Hotel is in Durban) - South Africa (FYI). So I contacted the Hotel, and they stated that I must speak to the agents for the changes - "Agoda" This went on the whole day - back an forth. Finally - The Hotel made the changes to a Front Sea Facing unit - arranged with Nicolene and Riaan with reference 31529969. I was then happy as there were no further charges and were happy to make the changes. Now I keep getting requests from Agoda as per attached correspondence want more money for the changes, now asking for 253.48 USD, This was not a change as I requested online for this 'Front sea facing unit', I want to cancel this booking without delay and want a full refund so that I can go elsewhere. All evidence possible from me will be attached now, I cannot gain access for that actual "online booking" which will prove that I did request for a "Front sea facing unit", this is ridiculous "why would I spend so much to travel by air and take a hotel room at the back of a hotel situated near the sea" - I cannot load the documents, please send me your email address and I will gladly send them,
Unauthorized card charges
Incident on 24/10/2020
Whilst attempting to make a booking at Villa Jaime Self Catering Ballito SA, an unauthorized transaction went through on my card.
No OTP was ever asked for and I did not once authorize or agree to the payment being made.
Added to this, the initial date I was querying was for 24-25 October and when this unauthorized booking/transaction was made, it was confirmed (not by me) for 28-29 October.
I immediately cancelled the booking (that I didn't make) and was told that I cannot get a refund.
Hereafter I was forced to frantically search for alternative accommodation, which I then did through Agoda again.
This time everything was done properly, but of course, when we got to the hotel, a further 100km out of our way due to unavailability in Ballito, we were told that the hotel was not made aware of this booking and also had no room availability.
This is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional, as we were very far from home and had slim to no chances of finding alternative accommodation at that time of night. This after paying for accommodation we didn't receive twice.
I'd like to request a full refund for the booking [protected] for the amount of R724 and I will be opening a fraudulent transaction case with my bank.
Accomodation
I made a online booking with agoda for the 19th December for my christmas party for $155. After I had put in my account details the amount changed to $310 and the date was the next day at 26th October not the date I had originally put in. I didn't want to pay double the money I thought I had been quoted so I went to cancel and they will only give me a refund of $155 because it is within 24hours notice. I find this really suspicious. I put in the date again on the agoda website for the 19th and the price came up again as $155 so I don't know how they can change the price once you have paid for it and I definately put in the 19th december not the 26th december?

WE used credit card to book our hotel in Cebu. KIndly improve on your security for Credit Card users.
We used our Credit Card to book our hotel at Red Doorz Bonifacio. Cebu City
with booking ID:541486328.
No more transaction using the credit card after booking at RedDoorz, immediately after our transaction; our card was phised out in Paris.
How can we be secure from this type of scam, and transactions now especially at Agoda is thru Credit Card.
Took my money without my knowledge and will not return it
Im currently looking into the small claims court to get money back that Agoda took my me without my knowledge!
I tried to book a hotel on the Agoda website, when I tried to pay an error message popped up and said they could not take my booking.
Days later I noticed they had charged me. I received NO emails from Agoda of confirmation of a booking. I received NO email confirmation from the hotel that they had booked me under.
When I contacted them they said there had been no issues with my booking. I explained I had not received any confirmations and was told via the website a booking could not be made and that I was unaware they had taken my money.
They then said I checked into the hotel and stayed there. When I asked for proof of this they changed their story and said I hadn't checked in and I was being changed for not showing up!
They will not take responsibility for their error and will not return my money they wrongfully took from me.
After two months of trying to resolve this I have been forced to go to the UK smalls claims court to resolve.
Extremally bad customer service, inconstantly in their messaging and false statements made by them.
Hotel booking
I booked and paid for a sea view room at the Hotel Continental, Sorrento. When we arrived on 1st October 2020, on checking in I was informed by the hotel that Agoda had downgraded me to an internal room.
This is not what I had booked and I showed them my booking confirmation however they showed me what Agoda had sent, which was not what I had booked.
This is fraud. To take my money for a sea view room and downgrade me to a lower priced room.
Unethical behaviour of your cs representative!
I have been very cooperative and patient to you all Agoda people yet you are somehow very good at what you do. Misleading people! I sent you TONS of emails and made DOZENS if not hundreds of phone calls about the discrepancies that I raised to your concern. Your customer service always cook the best alibi that you all can ever conjure! Hold time of at least 50 minutes on the phone and generic emails sent on top of each follow up that you send to the support team. Your system is such a mess! The list of your disgusting service goes a mile-long.
On top of that, NO ONE from your side care! You already got your money, why would you care to business partners like me when already had your pie?! This is how disgusting your service is!
Booking was cancelled without notification
Booking made through Agoda for Dikhololo Resort for dates of 23/09/2020 - 25/09/2020. Booking ID 276929731 received.
Made the booking on 21/09/2020.
Arrived at the resort to be told, they do not have a booking for me.
I called Agoda support number - 011 844 6064, from the resort to be told the booking was cancelled, and i should have received a cancellation email.
NO Cancellation email was received. I was turned away without any alternative, and had hours of travel back home. Terrible service from Agoda, and the agent i spoke was not concerned at all.

I had the very same issue as you. I have spent the last two months going back and fort with Agoda and they will not issue a refund. They are putting the blame on me and saying it’s up to the hotel that I tried to book and it’s up to them if I get a refund even though it was the agoda website that changed me and didn’t compete the booking.
I have explained to agoda that if this is not resolved I will be making a formal complaint with the ombudsman and the Smalls claim court.

I booked my brother at agoda website, we booked a family room for 7 people at san roque paradise hotel today september 22, 2020 check-in, september 23, 2020 check-out and paid with my wife's amex credit card. Then when they went there the resort was closed. They've talked to the owner of the resort he told us, that they were closed since january 2020 and will open till january 2021. He'd said "you are not the first one, it's like you are the 20th person, agoda is always doing this. Still recommending our resort or accepting booking but they know that we are still closed." that's what he said to us. The problem is I can't refund the money because it's their policy that "any cancellation received within 1 day prior to the arrival date will be charged for the entire stay.
If you fail to arrive or cancel the booking, no refund will be given." but we didn't stay either because it was closed! I think its a scam I just want a refund right now!

I'm sorry this is not a complaint I just don't know how else to contact someone. [protected] is my booking id#. I received an email with a promo code "holiday" for$100 off booking for one day only.
I can not tell if this is applied to my booking. I did not see anywhere to add this code when booking my reservation. Please let me know how to use this code towards my reservation. Thank you.

of HKD 325.60. I did not make any booking and would like to check and ask for refund.
I have asked my credit company AE for help but they advise me to check with Agoda first.
Trecarn hotel torquay
My partner and I booked through you for the Trecarn Hotel in Torquay for tonight 22/8/2020 for one night with breakfast coating £60 paid in advance. You have marketed this as pleasant. When we came to put the details into google for directions we found the Trip advisor page in which every review this month has been terrible. We therefore refuse to stay in this hotel tonight and would like a full Refund please as We are now having to find alternative accommodation with yourself as a result. I do think this is false advertisement marking something as pleasant when the reviews and pictures state otherwise on another site. I await your response as I spend a lot of money per year with Booking.com.

Refund for hotel reservations
I had made reservations at Castle Molokai Shores booking ID [protected] in the city of Kaunakakai, Hawaii arriving March 16, 2020 and departing March 20, 2020. A team of employees were being sent to conduct work for the Hawaii Department of Transportation during that time period. However, due to the Public Health Emergency of COVID-19, all work related travel were canceled. Therefore, we had to cancel all hotel accommodations and request a refund.
In an effort to do that, I have been corresponding to AGODA Customer Service and complied with all instructions and requests, the last being proof of documentation from my employer with the reason why the reservations had to be canceled. A letter was obtained and sent to Customer Service on June 15, 2020. After that I did not receive a response and resent the email with the attached proof again on June 24, 2020. On June 25, 2020, I received an email from Customer Service that they now cannot respond to me because my correspondence was not sent from the original email on the booking. I found this to be surprising because up to this point, there was no problem with the emails that were going back and forth. As a result, I sent another email using my work address and got a response that they received the email and would be responding to me. I then received another email stating that was not the original email on the booking so they could not respond to me.
I am totally confused and frustrated because I ran out of emails that I could have used. I feel as though I am getting the run-around or them delaying the process now that i have complied with all their instructions and request for documentation up to this point.
