Allied Universal / Aus.com No policies or procedure book / post order book at our duty post or on site.

Here at the Orange Texas (DOW) site for Allied Universal officers do not have policies and procedures in a post order book. We get text and emails telling us stuff changes but without a post order book we as officer are no protected. When we are told to do thing and we we do it and the powers at be changes their mind and said that was wrong we are not protected. We need post order book so we can say this is the procedure and until it is change we have to do it this way. Post order books do not just cover the officers it covers the company as well.

Desired outcome: Have post order books at all post and make the powers at be follow the post order books instead of making up their own rules on a daily bases.

Allied Universal / Aus.com Not being paid my complete check

For the week ending 5/26/22 I was paid $13.50 per hour for 24 hours. I should have been paid $15.00 per hour. I complained to my site supervisor, Erik Pratzer on June 1st and he said that he would get it corrected. Nothing happened so I complained to my area supervisor, Garren Orr, on June 8th. Still nothing has happened with my back pay, so I am forced to complain to the corporate office.

Desired outcome: I would like to be paid the $1.50 per hour owed for the 24 hours I worked.

Allied Universal / Aus.com Management

When I was hired in the month of July 2021 I was promised a $3000 hiring bonus, after 90 days (As we're many other workers). We are now in May of 2022 and I've only seen $500, which is better than other who haven't received anything. I have a nine month old daughter and that extra $2,500 can make a huge difference.

Desired outcome: I wish to get my bonus, and I hope others do too

Allied Universal / Aus.com Security patrols

Jaykayla and Ish both work at the Tuttle Crossing mall and continuously come into Macy's. We have received complaints from customers and associates about them. Associates have stated that both security guards are constantly trying to get free merchandise from them and asking for discounted prices. Customers have complained that they thought they were being watched by them causing issues for our Asset Protection team because all security complaints from customers are placed in the Asset Protection file. On Saturday, May 14th, 2022 both security guards entered into Macy's multiple times and AP personnel made contact and requested that they not enter the store again because Macy's employs their own Asset Protection team. After this, both security guards entered Macy's again and when the Asset Protection Detective told them again to leave, Jaykayla then gave him the middle finger as he was walking away.

Desired outcome: Please don't allow security guards into Macy's for patrols. We have called them before when we need them, but when there are shoplifting cases, they cause a liability.

Allied Universal / Aus.com Horrific Recruiting Team

On May 1, 2022, I applied for an Armed Security Officer position in Stafford VA (requisition number [protected]). On May 2, 2022, "Sam," from the "Allied Universal Recruiting Team," texted me and informed that I would have to submit a pre-recorded interview via HireVue. I subsequently submitted an interview via HireVue and answered the 8 questions asked.

"Sam," then texted me and stated that "something went wrong" and that I would have to schedule a phone interview with:

darlington.[protected]@aus.com

[protected]

I chose May 3, 2002 at 3:30pm. I took off from work early for said interview but the interviewer failed to call me. I submitted an email asking about such, but again, no one responded.

This has been the third time I submitted for a position with AUS and have been stood up. All of my job applications have been submitted under my above listed name for verification.

Pertaining to the second instance I applied to AUS in 2019, and a Captain Darren Foster scheduled a phone interview with me only to email me 4 minutes before the start time to tell me, "Jobs been filled, try again."

Desired outcome: An apology for all of the wasted time and effort, and a proper job interview for the respective position I applied for.

Allied Universal / Aus.com Terrible communication/ unprofessional

I was seeking employment at the yankee atomic power company in east hampton, ct. 3 other candidates along with myself were all being overseen by their administrator through drug testing, background etc. at first i was extremely enthusiastic, giving my all to make time for the appointments to go to interviews as well as any other meetings with me that they needed. i was working my other job as well so finding time off to fulfill their obligations i thought was showing initiative on my part. i have extensive firearms training, and feel as though i had some valuable qualifications to being to the table. it wasn't unit we started preliminary paperwork when i received an email from the employee in question, essentially yelling towards me and ordering me to check my emails more often, as there was an email sent about a session being held the next day. i responded professionally that i had not received an email (i check my emails every day). but on the contrary, i received a response more like a petty text message, imploring me to read more carefully and actually be attentive. when i asked for clarification i was met with another snotty text message like response, still leaving me guessing as she only included a time to be there. to my own devices, i brought all necessary paperwork using my own intuition, as she refused to tell me what to bring. I arrive on cite the next day, filled out paperwork for background and get my medical exam scheduled. all is good so far once again. i accept responsibility for missing the email and i move on. i wait 2 weeks, still figuring i'm going through background (and would not be allowed to train and be on their property until i clear their background checks, as i have been told numerous times by the employee in question). it wasn't until 4/25/22 that i receive a phone call at 7:30 in the morning asking why i am not on property for my first day. confused i call back, saying i did not receive any info for two weeks and was completely caught off guard. blindly, i proceed to drive to the cite, not updated by any means as to what is going on, and proceed to do on boarding paperwork. also to note, this was the first means of communication i had gotten in two weeks. not even a phone call updating me that i had cleared background, asking if i needed any days off that i had prior obligations for etc. upon arriving i was informed now that this is my first day of training, and it is unprofessional that i am late, and did not respond to any emails. i am not prepared to take on training the whole week, as i did not even notify my current employer. like i said, no communication that i had even made it out of background. upon communicating that i was not ready to take on the job at the moment, as i could not get coverage at my current job for the two weeks notice i would need to give, i was instantly met with an attitude from the administrator. she threw her hands up, yelling how could i have not read the emails, everyone else got them, im a waste of her time etc. to which i requested to see what email she had been sending things to. turns out, she had been sending things to the wrong email and that is the reason i had not received anything. even confirming that the communication issue was on her, she proceeded to act childish, saying that i am a waste of company time and money, and that i should have reached out if i was unclear of anything. and through further conversation, can't grasp the fact that i cannot reach out if i have no information on the events occurring. we talked for maybe ten minutes about everything and throughout the entire conversation i was still being blamed for not getting emails on an account that is not mine. the employee also said that she was going to be sure that i would never be employed by AUS - making it personal, saying nobody should have to deal with what i put them through. so now due to this employee's terrible communication skills and lack of ability to pay attention to detail i am no longer going to be able to work for this company. all i have to say is good luck. if this company screwed me over now i cannot wait to see what could have happened when i actually needed her help while employed.

Desired outcome: learn how to communicate with potential employees. i don't even need an apology. i would like this employee to be spoken to about losing an employee who has strong qualifications for the position.

Allied Universal / Aus.com Payroll.

My complaint dates back to February 2022, I've used my chain of command about this issue an haven't had any results from both Operations & Account Manager's. My paperwork was submitted March at which time I was short 25 hrs. That 25 hours is now 31.5 an my recent pre deposit for this week shows only 20 hrs & 4 hrs training when it's suppose to read 32hrs, bringing the total now to 43.5 hrs am owed. What started as an 8 hr shortage in February is now 43.5 HR's. I've already lost my account behind this because I wasn't doing my complete Reports & Detexes so I was removed from the account. You want us to show up on time, an do our jobs but, we have to beg for our money we worked for an this isn't right. Am a US Army Veteran I've been a guard now for almost 21 years since my return stateside and is very issue I'm addressing now is the reason why I left Universal Protection back in 2002 when they bought out the company I was working for they saw that I was already on their books from previous years now 21 years later nothing has changed Allied has no idea of the financial burden they've placed me in the consistent lies from both managers in the office shows they're only concern is keeping the client happy guards are replaceable.

Desired outcome: I just want what is owed to me an a consistent 40 hr a week work schedule. I don't want or need the fancy titles for a few bucks extra, I don't like my phone blowing up when am off duty.

Update by Kerry Meeks
Apr 27, 2022 2:10 am EDT

My name is Kerry Meeks I made a complaint on this site yesterday about reoccurring shortages to my checks since February. Now a process such as this shouldn't take this long. I mean what was once 8hrs as a shortage is now over 40 (+) hrs. Now each time I used my chain of command I've always had so called promises from the ACCOUNTS Manager "Diana" and everytime her promises never come through. My hunch is she wants me to snap whereas I'm fired. Now if your paperwork is submitted than it's up the the manager who submitted it to keep in touch with the employee of it's progress in my case she hasn't done this. Remember we are speaking about reoccurring shortages. When I was last in the office.."Last Week" she told me since I wasn't notified about being removed from the post that she would pay me the full 8 hrs for showing up and she wanted me to fill an open post right after I departed the office where she also stated she would pay me 8 hrs for doing it for her. Both were lies my pre-deposit shows this this for this upcoming check. I believe my accounts manager is behind this all, when I spoke to my operations manager he hasn't the slightest idea of what I was talking about. He's the one who told me Meeks I don't handle payroll shortages you'll have to contact Diana. Because of all these shortages my rent is behind, my credit card is maxed out and I also have late fees of which allied Universal doesn't reimburse.

My husband worked for Allied Universal for 10 years. He was given raises only to have them taken back within a couple of months. Of course they would wait until he had overtime to do it. He would work 56 in a week but get paid for 10. He never took time off for vacations because he got a buy back from the company for it until the last year he worked for them when he need to take the time off because I was in the hospital gravely ill. On that check they only paid him for 2 days and nothing for the time he took off even though he had 40 hours for sick time and 120 vacation time.

All in all when he left they owned him at total of $24000. If all they owe you is 40 hours count yourself lucky.

Allied Universal / Aus.com Mental health

Client Manager does not care about their people. I have been working overtime from summer of 2021and it is goin going with 56+ hours. I have told him I need help and does not bother on helping. My jail team are in the same situation but he does not care. He is also yelling at other jailers to do work that is not part of our job description. As long as the shifts are covered then that is all that he cares. Not even the client like this company. Hopefully they do not renew their contract

Allied Universal / Aus.com Interest party. employee number: 2952190. Grasiela Irizarry

I have filed two previous complaint forms with Allied and have not received a response from Allied. My name is Graciela Irizarry and I have been employed at Pace University as a Security Guard for the last six years. Recently my Manager. Michael Siciliano took hours away from me to give to part-time workers. Because of his action, I found it very difficult to pay my bills because of my reduced hours and pay. This was the nature of my original complaint.

On March 24th, I went to work sick and also had a migraine headache. Because of this I briefly fell asleep at my post. Mr. Siciliano stated that a Vice President of Allied came and tapped me on the shoulder, stating please don't do that again, and left. I continued to work for the rest of the week without incident. On the following Monday, March 28th I reported for work and was informed I was no longer assigned to that sight.

Other Security Guards had fallen asleep on their post from time to time without incident. I feel that because I complained to Allied about my reduced hours, Mr. Sicilanio took it upon himself to remove me from the site.. I have not been assigned anywhere since then. As it stands now, I am still removed from my site and I am not getting paid. My bills are piling up because of what Mr, Siciliano did.

I have complained to human resources on two previous occasions and they have not responded. Instead of addressing my situation, they just referred me back to Mr. Siciliano. I am still without a site and not getting paid. When Mr. Siciliano took hours from me to give to part-time staff, he had open sites where he should have placed them. He apparently tried to fix a problem by creating another problem. As a result, I am without a site and not getting paid.

Desired outcome: I would like to be reinstated, as I said before at my original site, and have my full-time hours restored. I would also like to be compensated for the pay I lost because of his actions.

Allied Universal / Aus.com Allied Universal Employee

This Security Guard was witnessed by many on Admiral Callahan in Vallejo, Ca. She is African American with long Braids wearing a An Allied Universal Company Uniform. She drives a Black Honda Civic (possibly) (License Plate # 7ULS520) She was seen road raging next to The Loop Gas Station causing reckless driving attacking a Silver vehicle. At the stop light She then gets out of her vehicle yelling, then spits on the vehicles passenger window. Unbelievable... It's disgusting to see that occur and also to know that she is employed with your company. Such a disappointment. I guess those are the type of people who work for Allied Universal.

Desired outcome: Better Choices in people your Company Hires... She was video taped and might go viral.
