Head manger of Allied universal security named Chris has been letting his employees harass certain people without giving proper displicine. Mr. Chris let's his employees bring weed into the building to other people and he also let's them smoke weed outside in their vehicles. If you were to drug test his employers you would have the evidence for yourself. Mr. Chris also let's his employers make false accusations of gdit employees to human resources to get them fired because of a relationship that one of the allied universal officers had with a gdit employer. Mr. Chris needs to clean up his act and stop letting his employers bring drugs in the site and he needs to stop them from smoking weed outside and making false accusations. I am a employee with GDIT of Hattiesburg Ms as well. I would love to remain anonymous.
employees concerns not addressed
My name is Denise Hardy was hired at Allied Universal in Chicago, IL on April 19, 2018 Employee ID# 796395. When I was interviewed I explained to the interviewer that I am a team player and hope that my co-workers are too. On my first day the client trained me on the site, the Allied Universal security manager never showed me anything. If I had a question, I would go to the client at the site and ask any questions. When I asked any co-workers to show me what they do, they would tell me that they are not paid to train me. I would tell them that I just wanted to know what they were doing because we were going to be doing the same job, but my co-workers would not show me or tell me anything. I both this to my manager (Mark Craver) for the site, and I was told they are not suppose to train me, I was very hurt by this statement because I was told that my co-worker were team players. I never felt comfortable going to the client to show me my job I always felt it was my Allied Universal Security Manager job to train and answer any problems or concerns I may have. I e-mailed my Allied Universal Security Manager (Mark Craver) by e-mail on May 27th, 2018 to be transferred to another site, Mr. Craver never responded. On May 30th I contacted the Tinley Park Office and was told I had to speak to Ricky Williams. I left several telephone messages for Mr. Williams, to call me, but Mr. Williams has never contacted me. I only wanted to be transferred to another sited. On May 30, 2018 I gave up my uniform and the badge for the site.
Know one from Allied Universal has ever contacted me regarding how I am feeling, or addressed any of my concerns. I left a security company to come to Allied Universal. I never thought Allied Universal would treat me so bad.
I contacted California officer for Allied Universal many times, I contacted the Tinley Park, IL office, the Chicago, Il office just to have someone help me and know one has ever called me. I don't understand why no one ever contacted me just to ask me anything. It has really hurt, because I have filled out other jobs for Allied Universal on-line because I'm not working. I just wanted to know why Allied Universal never contacted me to ask me anything about the job, address my concerns.

vendor pass validation scam
I work at the village mission valley in San Diego. I teach fitness there. There is no way to drive without communication with security. I drive up to security officer Jaden, and show her my vendor pass, she looks at it and waves me through. (Check cameras, it will verify) I proceed to park in a designated area, and go to work. 90 minutes later I come back to my parking spot to realize it not there. I go to security thinking my truck was stolen. Security says they towed my truck. They say they don't know why It was towed at first, than they dispatched tow truck who says they towed it because vendor pass was 5 days expired(I work once a week so the last time I worked it was valid) apparently Robert (supervisor) authorized a tow truck to come onto private property to tow my truck. That is contradictory because the very representatives that authorized my access are the same representatives who tow my truck. It's very suspicious, and coincidentally another person had dealt with the same thing, and believed it is a scam where they allow people to access property in order to allow a third party tow company to tow vehicle. That leads me to believe there is a scam going on, as if they are receiving "kick backs" or incentives to find cars to tow. Lastly, it is the person who authorized me onto property who (jaden) should have provided me with a new valid vendor pass. Robert should have communicated to jaden to see why there was an unauthorized vehicle parked premesis( it would have been very easy considering it was only 50m away from check point) instead of checking for blantant security error, the supervisor is lazy and orders for my truck to be towed. To make matters worse, the tow company is close and will be charging me extra for the night. This is unacceptable behavior by your staff and if I'm not riemburseed I will need to take this matter to court.

break policy not defined correctly at site
The break policy was not defined correctly and i was not told that we cant take breaks in the cafe. The site does not allow us to take breaks without being in public view. The manager addison galaudet removed me from site and has caused undue hardship, i am a disabled and have been treated unfairly. I would like the site back so i can return to work.

My name is Jasmine Wilkerson and i work for Allied Universal in Charlotte NC at the Spectrum location. My account manager, Lisa Norwood, offered me a higher paying position twice; for the first i wasn't given a start date but the second i was (may 11 2018) and was told to go to the site on my off day to train for my new position. Twice, my account manager gave my position away after offering it to me and dint even give me the courtesy to call me and tell me that it was given to another employee. On another note, she also has mishandled employees hours causing her to mess up our paychecks on several occasions. Every time that i have addressed her about the confusion she gives me an attitude or doesn't respond to my calls or text messages. I've made many verbal complaints to both my site supervisors, Janet Benbow & Victoria Langston and asked for an immediate supervisor or HR contact but they never provided me with any of this information.

This company went into the toilet the minute the Allied Barton/Allied Universal merger occurred.
My region was slapped with a branch manager who was barely qualified to be a service manager simply because he was the Universal guy in the region when Barton already had multiple qualified candidates in region to run the situation.
Universal Services guy then spends 11 months running a fully functional Barton region into the ground, losing several key clients, never shared the contract data for most USA accounts with his Barton "employees" and ran the region hundreds of thousands of dollars in the red every quarter because he had no idea how to even do an AIS much less where to submit one and apparently couldn't be bothered to even follow up with clients about invoices that were months overdue.
Whats more the "employees" of the regional branch constantly had to run around, doing the Branch Manager's job regionally, he quite commonly paid hourly guards overtime to have them run around the region as "Flex Officers" who were doing field supervisory role tasks because the Field Supervisors were too busy working as unpaid Operations Managers and the CVM of the region was too busy trying to keep the entire branch from flying apart.
Whats more, 11 months down the line after finally someone at corporate noticed that an incompetent boob was running our region, their solution to the problem was to eliminate the jobs of the people that had been working the hardest to try to mitigate the damage the branch manager had done, restructure the region, move jobs to other cities and not offer any moving assistance or relocation assistance, basically forcing field supervisors and operations managers into whatever site supervisory role they could find locally, or making them unemployed...corporate then re-arranged the region management team and offered salaries far smaller than the work would have cost them at an hourly rate + overtime, then hired whatever poor suckers were willing to take the offer.
There is zero upward mobility in this company, I went for three years with no raise and ended up getting pushed back in my hourly rate when my job got eliminated.
There is zero chance I will ever be even interested in working for Allied Universal as middle management again until they decide that a 70 hour a week job is worth more than $31, 250 USD. Because thats what they're paying Operations Managers here and when I was doing that job at the office I was making about $52, 000 a year on a hourly rate due to all the ridiculous overtime the job required to do it right.
Steve Jones and the current executive management of this company have zero interest in the quality of life of the operational staff of their regions. And other than PR based attaboy's, they have zero actual interest in their guard staff as well. And while my review of my regional situation seems dire, this situation has been all too common in the last year with Allied Universal and they have largely turned a promising merger into a lifeless horror show of corporate buzzwords, consultants, spending restrictions and other snafus.
Avoid this company like the plague if you have any self respect or expectation of advancement opportunity.

Asked if they could review cameras to see what happened and maybe i could look for the person who had it. Response was ok i need to talk to the boss first he should be up here soon. OK so i went to mall hallway entrance where security would be coming ... theres 3 officers standing there chatting I asked each one if they were the boss and they called over a man dressed in plain dress down clothes he asked what i needed . I explained what happened the money i just spent and i looked in every stroller even ones that people were using for my bags . Where i left the stroller there is a camera right above it because its a main mall entrance

I'm writing a complaint because earlier today, I was waiting at a bus stop on the strip near the "Fasion Show" mall. The corner of Las Vegas Blvd and Sands.
As I've waited this Security guard approach me and asked to see my pass. Then I asked; what if it's my right not to show you. Then she became violent and called me a smart ###. She threatened that she would call metro pd and have me cited or arrested.
I was harassed and mistreated when she didn't asked all the other people waiting at the stop. I felt like she needed to pick on me particularly. Almost as I was being profiled and used authority to bully me. I honestly don't think this was appropriate in anyway to intimidate me.
doesn't like military
Allied Barton is not military friendly. Alot of military guys at the boeing sight left due to 'conflict of interests'. Also, they will mess up your pay, mess with your schedule and take your money. The training was not good and you don't get paid for that. The background checks are sub-standard and the managers can't really manage any of the sites.
wrongful discharge
Allied Barton was informed of site supervisor sleeping on the job in his office and in the bathrooms. All officers were called liars and told to mind their own business. Weeks later child porn was found on a device belonging to the supervisor. It was covered up, the device given back to the supervisor they burned it. Later when it was brought up by a guard that the same thing may be going on again they him and kept the one who was doing the crime. Allied Bartons excuse was he released internal matters to an outside source.

bad treatment
I am a former employe for this company. I was with this company for almost six mounths. I had a lot of over time built up and tried very hard to do a good job. How ever I was terminiated because i had to leave work one night because I tore my uniform. I had called my on site supervisor at explained what happen and that they would have to get someone else to work my shift, because i only had one uniform. I told them i would get a replacement the next day because i worked 3rd shift and all the stores are closed. The site had 2 other guards covering the critical locations and the plant was shutdown for the weekend. They have worked with 2 people before. Any how I left the site ater telling my supervisor. The next day I was terminated for leaving the site. I had just missed one day sense i had started and worked many double shifts. In fact i was one of the few that would even show up in bad winter weather. A year had passed and I tried to see if i could get my job back. Everytime you called the local office you would get a voice mail and no one will call you back. When i did talk to the local recruiter and explained what happen he said he would look into the incident. A week had passed and when I called for a follow up he was extreamly hateful to me and said he could do nothing. NEVER CHOUSE THIS COMPANY GO WITH AN ALTERNET CHOICE. I have only one word for their behavior: *cowards! I have already beaten allied barton's entire human recourses department (they tried to buy me off), his in-house legal team, and his "attack attorneys" from georgia with knowledge, facts and evidence. next is the civil court room, which I promise is coming. allied barton security llc (owned by blackstone group) promises confidentiality with no retailiations concerning the reporting of violations of "company" policies and so does the laws of our nation; however, the facts prove this is another lie at the company level. junior's exploits included violations of the privacy act, in my opinion, by giving out my personal information to third parties for personal gain. william c. whitmore jr. has proven he is a liar, a traitor to his employees, a coward, and a person of interest concerning felonious character (under investigation). poor attitude towards employee

I worked for allied barton as well, and was assaulted at work! my ankle was hurt and everyone including their hr director was treading me as if I had a minor spring ankle till I paid out of my pocket to see a specialist and mri to find out my bone was chipped and there are 2 fragments lose in my ligament!

Oh boy! I finally get to vent! let me state outright that I have more years than I care to admit doing this s* job. allied is really no different than any other rent-a-cop company I have worked for in the past 17 years or so (off and on for a total of about 4 years. I tell people, especially in times like these, security will get you by, but be prepared for one the most humbling experiences of your life.). the site I work at is a sheocracy, run by a miserable, vacation at least once a month, vindictive creature from hell. she denied me vacation at least once and a day off at least twice. I have worked their a year and 4 months and for ab for a year and 7 months. now, today, I am being told I don't have enough hours to be paid my vaca time, when they work us like a rented mule, with the "hours" displayed every week. god forbid you haven't put in whatever required, arbitrarily decided, mandatory overtime hours that week. the hours on the schedule would at times demand 55-60 hours from some (I was consistently in the upper third of 40-odd rent-a-cops (rac's), yet this list of 'goldbricks and workhorses' would, every week, would cheat me several hours, even one of the supers (ha) said it didn't make sense.
the nepotism runs thick, natch. the nasty, used-up, vile thing that was the acct. mgr. has since retired (I think the contract with satan expired and he claimed her soul), to be replaced by a charming, generous, thoughtful, "was one of us types". not! lol! she is related to a fat, fat slob that gets 40-45 hours a week, time of whenev, and weekends off. granted the fat loser has been their since moses laid down the smacketh, and she is dating a super and his pappy was second in line their for several years... you see where this is going.
on to the racism! we have a very hated, distrusted black woman that we are forced to work, who has been heard to make racist comments about whites (not around me! I don't play that s*!), who didn't get relieved in time for a break, with a porta potty 30 ft. away, soiled herself and a chair to prove a point! she recently threatened another black female ab employee and went to her grandmothers house to talk s* to her! she has abandoned post and re-posted herself and still no action against her. she is a known snitch, even when you're standing in the same booth with her and a super! why the inaction, you may ask? american race card! don't go to work without it! "I sue you mothers!". I do work with several black coworkers who are truly the salt of the earth and aren't very fond of her, either.
the site I worked at before had a notorius snitch, who pretended to be a "pastor", a man of gooooodd! he'd always drag around his hokey bible and bible study materials. so pious and friendly! asskiss! some word got back to the acct. mgr. (in fact, a lot did, lol!) about some choice things I had said (I am outspoken, shame on me!), and I was a super so that was my bad, but I knew it was this snake that rolled, actually ran to tattle. because he's black and the acct. mgr. was hispanic and "sensitive to minority issues", this "man of god" was hit with four sexual harassment charges in two weeks! nothing. still works there.
I have plenty of horror stories but the bottom line is this; security is a stepping stone when times are bad! if you didn't see how lame security is in the first 6 months of doing it (and i'm being generous!), shame on you! really! like the legend of the indian woman that rescues a frozen snake. she nursed it back to health and in doing so, got bit for her troubles. she asks, "snake, I healed you, I fed you, I saved you! how could you do this?!". the snake replied calmly, "look #, you knew I was a snake...", and proceed to slither away, just like ab will, eventually! get out while you can, of security that is.
btw, the "creature" used a common cute acct. mgr. trick always! she would deny people vaca or to sell the vaca back to further feather her nest, while trotting off to hawaii once a month. hey, rhip's. if you are stuck, I wish you the best of luck, sincerely. but get out asap!

wrongful termination and employee rights violations
I worked for Allied Barton in the Jack's Pacific warehouse with the Allied Barton El Monte Office. I was let go and told to be transferred to another location because the supervisor in the Jack's Pacific account complained against me. This so called Supervisor came late almost on a daily basis, she was even late for 2 hours and she did not even make up the time and did not report her tardiness to the office and I did not get paid. I finally got tired of the abuse that security companies give to their employee's and I'm proud to say that I no longer work in security. Also Allied Barton makes p rules as they go. I also worked in an account where a person was attacked and in that area was a security company taking care of the situation. The next day I was told to make a report and to notify Allied Barton for what had occurred. I told them that I was not a witness and was also not in my location to perform security. The reason they did this was to steal an account from the other security company. Is just better to be even a janitor at a hospital than to be a security guard. I no longer have respect for these companies because they make money abusing and cheating off their employee's.
I am currently working for them here in the midwest and recent event has sprung up that has opened my eyes wide to just how low they will sink. A woman with a long list of infractions made some accusations against our, my boss. They were lies, all made up but AB did nothing to support my boss and she still is not officially terminated... the client had to take the first step in removing her. They balked at that too... They had the gall to say my boss was to stay out it, (against the law by the way).
They acted as though he was the villain. he is suing them right now. It's really pathetic how the corporate office handled this. Such fools and ###s from the top on down. I am ready to leave the place as its become apparent they do not care who they ### on.

unfair treatment by supervisors and manangement
I am a former employee of Allied Barton Security Services.I was forced to quit by a very violent and unstable supervisor.In the 90 days I worked for this company I was verbally harassed by the supervisor.My check never came on time.I was treated like a knowbody, and did not get to finish my online courses.In this situation the client I believe is in danger of a workplace violence situation.the supervisor is very unstable, and be subjected to a mental evealuation. The job has went to his head.I have been in the security industry for 20 years.every security service I worked for has done me wrong at one time, but I think if the federal government got wind of all these complaints they would take control of all security services, and how they are operated and how people are being treated.We need to start a petition to allow the federal government to take over these companies, and operate them in a respectable and lawful manner.1000 signatures on the petition would get the government to see all the complaints, and investigate each one and put an end to job harrassment, and possble workplace violence situations.We as security officers need not give up the fight.we must strive to protect ourselves and other officers from upper management violations, and mentally unstable superviors.Security needs to revert back to when they originated when alan pinkerton and william J Burns had it.We have rights under the constitution of the united states of america, and the bill of rights. I was hired to work in my home town in NH with rotating weekends, but I had to work for a couple of months in Lexington, Ma, a 30 mile drive, to train. I ended up working every weekend for 6 months before finally getting Sunday's off and I never stepped foot in the NH office. I was driving 60 miles a day! I heard more lies from that company than I do from my own kids! When my new born daughter was sick and needed to go to the doctor, my boss wouldn't let me have the day off because I hadn't been with the company for a year. He told me after a year I could make special requests. When my grandfather died, I asked to have the day off for the funeral and was denied! He wouldn't even let me go home early when I found out my grandfather was dying. Luckily, I found the hand book and told him that it was my right to have 3 unpaid days off and I was taking one. The last straw was one day when my cell phone rang. It was my wife, who was home with my baby daughter. I picked up to see if it was an emergency, then told her I'd call her back when I went to lunch. My boss saw me and started talking down to me and was being disrespectful. I explained the cituation to him, but he ignored me. He came back an hour later and gave me a write up... in front of 15 people in a main lobby desk location! When he gave me my copy (yes my personal copy) I riped it in half, put it in the trash, and told him that I didn't like the way I was being treated and I told him that I did not agree with the write up. All he could do was look at the floor and say "um sorry you feel that way." I reported him for harassment to the account manager and stated that I did not agree with the write up. An hour later I was sent home. Later that night I got a call saying I was suspended. I called them every day for a week and got passed around between different managers and HR reps. Finally I was told that they would call me at the end of week two. I got a call saying I was fired for destroying company property. I was like what? The next day I called them to complain and he said "oh well you were also insubordinate, sorry and good luck." Now they are trying to keep me from getting unemployment and I"m looking for a lawyer. My two friends got fired from there and are on umemployment.
