Alicia went above and beyond in assisting me with the transport of my parents car after they passed
Alicia went above and beyond in assisting me with the transport of my parents car after they passed. I had reached out to a few companies before finding American Auto and had received pick up dates, only to be told on the days of scheduled pick up that they had not located a carrier (this is after those companies taking weeks to even schedule). From my first call to American Auto, Alicia explained to me the actual process and what these other companies were doing. She guided me through removing my name from their lists and making sure nothing was hindering my listing. The car was picked up in THREE DAYS and delivered to me! There was constant communication throughout the entire process, between both Alicia and the transport driver. They made this frustrating and difficult experience as smooth as it could be! If I ever need this service again, American Auto Shippers would be the only place I would use!

Beware of this service
Beware of this service. We booked a car transport from NY to NC, paid $200 extra to have the vehicle picked up in 1-2 days as we were leaving town in 4 days. The first "driver" we were given the contact info for initially had no idea who we were. The second person they handed us to told us the driver would be there tomorrow. When no one contacted us the next day we called the company again. They said "our computer system often gives the wrong contact information" and that they would get the real driver to contact us. Finally we get a call on day 4, after paying for 2 day service, from someone who claimed to be a driver but said that his truck was having problems and he would be further delayed. At this point we did not trust the company with our vehicle. We called American Auto Shipping, requested a refund as we would not be able to meet the driver, and the representative refused and literally yelled at my wife "what do you want me to do?!".
Everybody was super helpful and kind on the phone when I was setting up my car shipment. I had to put my shipment on hold for a month while paperwork got finalized and it only took 5 days from the time I called back until my car got delivered. Couldn't argue with the price at all, especially with the timeliness for a cross country shipment! My driver was super communicative on his arrival and would update me at least once a day if not more about when he'd be arriving. No issues with unloading and car didn't have a scratch on it. Thanks guys!
From the time I made contact with the client representative, Rachel, everything went smoothly. I received all my documents electronically and promptly. A carrier dispatch personnel made contact to give me the name and contact information for the carrier driver 3 days later which was within the 5 day period to ship the car. The driver made contact to set pick up date, time and location. My vehicle was safely shipped from Georgia to Washington , and it arrived 2 days earlier than scheduled. Considering that it's winter time and an arctic cold front was moving through the US, I think that the driver, Oleg, provided excellent shipping services. The cost of shipping was very reasonable and worth every dollar. I highly recommend American Auto Shipping. High quality professional honest business. Thank you AAS!
Great service on both ends, but the main reason we chose this company was the amazing Rachel. She gave us clear options, including potential storage if the car was delivered when we wee out of town. The driver Ivan was excellent too.
Your agent was very friendly but efficient. She explained the process and answered our questions. Would recommend your company.
I literally just got off the phone with a woman named Robin
I literally just got off the phone with a woman named Robin. My vehicle has yet to be picked up even though I paid for priority shipping. Robin could care less! Kept asking me what do I expect them to do? They don't have trucks... I expect a follow up with the customer when you can't keep up with your priority agreement. I expect someone to let me know that they at least pretend to care and that they are working on it. Why do I have to keep calling American Auto to find out whats going on? I said to her that I keep getting the same response every time I call, her response was, Well... Your gonna keep getting the same answer. Then she says, do you want to keep order or not as if I was wasting her time. Every person there brings up the companys 90% success rate. I pointed out to Robin that its insulting to bring up a success rate, but have no answer as to when my vehicle gets picked up. But again, she could care less. I'm very disappointed with this company. Looks like I will have to get a refund and find another company.
They were prompt, professional, and kept me informed at every step of the trip. Would definitely recommend this company to friends and use them again myself.
So happy with my experience with American Shipping. Rachel was great to work with, friendly and professional. I would use them again and recommend to others needing this type of service.
Would leave zero stars but that wasn't an option
Would leave zero stars but that wasn't an option. Car scheduled on 10/14/22 to be picked up in NY on 11/2/22. Wasn't picked up until 11/16/22. Was to be delivered in CA on 11/23/22. Today is 11/28/22 and nobody seems to know where the car is. No response from company other than "we'll look into it and get back to you". Nothing from the driver or dispatcher. Separate complaint about them - Geo Shipping LLC. HORRIBLE. Driver's cell phone now "has a voice mailbox that has not been set up"; yet I left him messages before the car was picked up - and yes, it's the same number. Tried numerous texts. Nothing. And as for the dispatcher with whom I spoke on a few occasions before the car was picked up... "We could not complete your call" is what I now get when I try to call him. So... where is my car? And how long are we supposed to just wait to see if and when they find it? I have never filed a complaint nor posted a customer review before about any company but I don't want anyone to go through this most infuriating and frustrating series of events. Buyer beware.

Pickup was quicker than expected. Delivery was also quicker than expected. Customer Service was great. My contact, Andrew, was always available and very helpful. It was a positive experience.
I was very happy with my experience and Rachel made it stress free. The whole process was on schedule and went smoothly. If you have auto shipping needs I would use this company again and recommend to others.
If you care about your vehicle, your sanity / peace of mind,"DO NOT EVER HIRE THIS OUTFIT" to move anything for you!
If you care about your vehicle, your sanity / peace of mind,"DO NOT EVER HIRE THIS OUTFIT" to move anything for you! I paid for priority shipping because I needed a firm pick up time frame because I was moving out of my house on a specific day and had to be at my new destination at a specific time. American Auto Shipping missed my dead line and gave me a story that my beautiful car I've owned for 40 years would be picked up as soon as they could find a shipper. I hired AAS May 30th, 2022 and finally a shipper picked up the car on June 28th, 2022 with just 2 hours notice and after dark at 8:30pm. I had to leave my car at a neighbors house, outdoors when I departed the area on June 21st. I was extremely unhappy and my neighbor apprehensive, it sucked that I should have to leave my car in the hands of someone I hardly knew, keys in hand only after I offered him some compensation, also out of my pocket. My experience with AAS was the worst I've ever encountered, they don't even answer their phone during business hours, goes right to voicemail and two messages were never responded to. Bad, Bad, BAD.
I had trepidation regarding shipping a new vehicle from TX to CT, which was amplified by the numerous poor ratings all over the internet
I had trepidation regarding shipping a new vehicle from TX to CT, which was amplified by the numerous poor ratings all over the internet. I decided to go with American Auto Shipping & called their number on a Saturday afternoon. I was pleasantly greeted by Jasmine who fended my interrogation - she emphasized the integrity of American Auto & confirmed various details. I provided her my approval & deposit via credit card, by Sunday afternoon they had a carrier attached to my order. On Monday morning circa 9:30AM I received a text from the dealer showing my vehicle being loaded on the carrier. I called the carrier, River Auto Transport, as well as the driver to establish contact with them. Dhalia at the office was extremely pleasant to work with as well as informative - the driver Alvaro was also a gentleman. They originally thought the vehicle would be delivered on Saturday, however on Wednesday they called to request that I meet the driver on Thursday morning to take delivery. I met Alvaro locally, he was punctual & had the vehicle offloaded before I arrived. Overall I am extremely pleased with the experience & would strongly recommend both companies.

These are bad people here
These are bad people here. Have a sales team that sells you the dream. You will never speak to sales person again and everything said is a lie. There just a company throwing vehicles out on a dispatch and waiting for responses. The drivers do not work for them. I booked two weeks prior and paid extra for specific day. Multiple different people calling me wanting to pick vehicle up on every other day besides the days I paid for. The phones will ring and ring and you will leave messages Hoping for a return phone call. Then of course im very upset and aggravated so when your making calls back to them to try and figure out all the confusion they will treat you like dirt. You don't and will not matter to them if your having a bad experience. Not there drivers so you will see they don't care. They even laughed and had jokes because I was so upset. Bad bad people.! I had to drive my brand new vehicle 1200 miles north and waist my time doing it. You cannot rely on this company, there just middle men making 500$ Or more off you just to place your info on a dispatch waiting for some other company to do the job, making money off them as well. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.!
We have used this shipping service in the past with no issues moving from Florida to Texas
We have used this shipping service in the past with no issues moving from Florida to Texas. During our present encounter we were given misinformatiom about when the car should be picked up which can cause quite an issue when you are moving cross country. When attempting to call for clarity Mike was rude and condesending. When I as the customer advised him that his tone and remarks were offensive and condesending he claimed he was being abused. Mind you a room full of witnesses and thier call, which is recorded for quality assurance, could attest to the fact that I did not raise my voice nor swear. Mike used his priveledge as a tactic to avoid responsibility instead of being a man and a decent customer service representative, no a decent human being. If you are reading this Mike I forgive you because I am used to being the bigger person and setting am example for people like you. I hope you develop enough emotional maturity to not gaslight your customers but instead take responsibility amd empathize. As for my future with American Auto Shipping, I will not support and spend thousands of dollars annually on a company that does not value me as a cutomer. Be Blessed!

I CAN NOT tell you how appreciative of American Auto shipping I am!
I CAN NOT tell you how appreciative of American Auto shipping I am! After inquiring about a quote, I was emailed the quote and a phone call with a pleasant voice on the other end. Shipping a car from CA to NC was very nerve wrecking to me to say the least! These kind folks answered every call I made to them. I was nervous so yes, I called several times always to get a reassuring voice of understanding on the other end. I had contacted several transport companies along with American Auto Shipping and the reason I chose them for my business is because they were professional, legitimately rated with the ComplaintsBoard.com, and knowledgeable! Trust me when I tell you there are way too many companies that LIE and no one contacts you except through harassing txts! They guaranteed their rate and, "Guess what," it was TRUE! I paid what I was quoted and the car was delivered several days early! Can't go wrong with this company! I had utilized a different company sending the car to CA from NC and chose not to use them again due to an extra $200 once it arrived! That is NOT a guaranteed rate BUT American Auto Shippers are number 1 in my book. They were beyond a perfect delivery! Much appreciated American Auto Shippers! If ever you need a transporter this is the ONLY company I can say is trustworthy and reliable! Thank you very much!

I am very disappointed and unhappy with my experience with American Auto Shipping
I am very disappointed and unhappy with my experience with American Auto Shipping. I had contracted with them on 3/23/22 to ship a non-running vehicle from CA to MI. At that time I was told that I should be given 24 to 48 hours notice once a transport was identified. On 4/19 I found an email with phone numbers of a carrier. I contacted them and was told he wanted to pick up the vehicle within 2 hours. That was not possible considering the car needed to be towed to the street and the current owner would not be available for at least 4 hours. The driver said that was not possible and he was going to cancel. When I called American, they recorded this as I cancelled the dispatch and now I did not qualify for a refund. American Auto claimed they had called me that morning and left a voice mail informing me of the dispatch. I received no such call. I informed them that I reviewed that day's call log from my phone provider and there was no such call yet they insisted their records claimed otherwise. There was a second dispatch call on 5/28. Everything was set up to get this done and then I heard nothing. I eventually called to find out what was going on and found out that this had fallen through. This was on American Auto and yet I was making the calls to find this out.
I feel I was entitled to a full refund but was told multiple times that since I had cancelled the original dispatch I did not qualify for a refund. I was misled regarding the lead time we would have, I did not receive the phone call as they claim, and the second non dispatch was on them.

I can't believe I'm wasting more of my time writing a negative review about this company but this is the only recourse left to me after getting the runaround from their customer service department again and again. I've been forced to cancel my auto shipment at this point after 14 days of waiting for my vehicle to be picked up. I was assured when I booked that it would be picked up within their 5-day window. I even selected their premium enclosed service, which I was told was even faster that on an open carrier. I had to do this because my car was packed full of my belongings and cannot be carried on an open carrier for legal reasons. Due to the 5-day window and my work schedule requiring my presence elsewhere, I had to leave my car parked outside with everything I owned packed tightly inside and the key on the tire so that someone could pick it up without me present. This was a risk I was willing to take because I was assured that it would be picked up within 5 days and I had a neighbor keep an eye on it. I called customer service repeatedly to no answer. When I finally did get through to someone at the end of the 5 day window, I was told that there were no drivers that could pick it up and to just hold tight and it would ship soon. Two days went by with no contact so I called repeatedly again and finally got someone and was told the same thing but that I could cancel with no fee since they were outside their guaranteed time frame. That was not what I wanted to hear on the other side of the US. I have never been so disappointed with a company in my life. My calls consistently went to voicemail during business hours, I received no call backs or updates from the company, and they did nothing to reduce my costs as a customer after dropping the ball for two weeks with no end to the madness in sight. I cancelled today and wrote this review as fair warning. This company does not do enough to ensure their customers' vehicles are indeed picked up in a timely manner.

We decided to ship our car between two cities, covering 260 miles
We decided to ship our car between two cities, covering approximately 260 miles. During our vacation, we faced car troubles despite costly repairs and had to stay in a hotel. We chose AAS due to their proximity and their offer to store the car until pickup, which usually takes 1 to 5 days. We left the car on a Thursday, documenting its condition and mileage. The following Monday, we were informed by B&K Transport, contracted by AAS, that the car was en route, with delivery expected on Tuesday. However, due to a breakdown, delivery was postponed to Wednesday. Upon retrieval, the car had 454 additional miles. B&K's driver denied responsibility and directed us to AAS. AAS refused to provide a clear document of the mileage record, which seemed altered. Despite evidence and repeated attempts to resolve the issue with AAS, including reaching out to the vice president, we were accused of altering evidence and committing a crime, with no compensation offered. American Auto Shipping demonstrated a lack of integrity and professionalism.

I'm not one prone to sweeping generalizations, so when I say without a doubt this company had the worst customer service I have ever experienced
I'm not one prone to sweeping generalizations, so when I say without a doubt this company had the worst customer service I have ever experienced, I am genuinely holding them below every company I have ever had bad dealings with. They rarely pick up the phone when you call. Only a few people on the other end have any sort of phone etiquette, so most of the time you're talking to an extremely awkward rep or someone who seems angry that you called. You have to hound them about everything. When I scheduled them to pick up my car, they did not inform me that they wouldn't be actively looking for a shipping driver until the date I put on the calendar. That date is merely when you want them to start looking for a delivery driver. One would think that you would want to get a head start on a scheduling project seeing as how I scheduled the pick-up over 2 weeks in advance, but not American Auto Shipping. I scheduled with them on June 23rd for them to pick up the car on July 10th, giving them a ten day window for delivery. That ten day window is when they actually start looking for contracts. They hadn't even looked at my order or given me a call (didn't even send a confirmation email to let me know they had processed my downpayment) until the 10th rolled around. I don't even think they looked at the invoice until July 10th. 2 days before the 10th I get worried about the lack of communication and start emailing them. I begin receiving stock email responses. I get frustrated after getting one of these for about the 3rd time, so I tell them if I don't get answers I will dispute the charges for the downpayment through my bank. A few hours later I get an extremely defensive letter explaining that the agent I was attempting to reach doesn't work wed-fri, so she hasn't been able to get to my email, but she hasn't been ignoring my emails (which was not my problem. I was specifically angry that her responses to my emails never answered any of my questions). She then proceeds to ignore ALL of the questions I asked in the email she was responding to and tries to upsell me on 3-day (+$200) delivery and 24-hour (+$500) delivery. After the 10 day window and more phone/email tag, the ten days had passed, after which they say they'll just keep looking. I gave them until the 27th. One last slap on the way out, though, because they only do check, money order, or two money transfer apps I had never heard of (not paypal or cashapp). What a joke. The only redeeming factor is that the check took just two days to arrive by mail. That appears to be the only thing they do quickly. If you're looking to have a car shipped, go with Nexus. I signed up for a shipment on a Sunday, they called back the same day, got the car to my place by Friday night. What a stark contrast to this joke of a company. Pretty sure American Auto Shipping is gaming the ComplaintsBoard.com, because they are accredited on the site and have an A+ rating somehow. Avoid.
The driver was terrific, and we exchanged contact information to do business in the future
The driver was terrific, and we exchanged contact information to do business in the future. This review is in no way about the driver but the service I received from American Auto Shipping. The representative, Mike, is highly snarky and condescending. At first, he will act as if he cares about providing quality service, but as soon as you inquire about your service, he becomes insulting. To provide a better context of my dealing with AA shipping, let me start from the beginning and highlight why you shouldn't work with this company.
I first booked with this company in March for a May pick-up. During my booking period, the rep, Mike, was charming. Naively, I took this as Mike being kind, but I soon realized this is his ploy to get you to book with AA.
1) AA is not a shipping company. They are brokers. Their job is to post your car on a board at the price they locked you in, and drivers on your route can either accept or decline your car. What AA will fail to tell you is that when they book you, they lock you into a price that is so low that no truck driver will want to pick up your car within their estimated window.
Here is where the scamming comes in. They will provide you a window that your car will be picked up, and they will tell you that 90% of the cars are picked up in this window, and that's the first lie. There is no evidence that they meet this rate; in fact, what they will do is intentionally place your car on the board with a low price to convince you to pay them more on the back end. They will tell you if you pay XYZ amount, a driver will feel more willing to take your car! They are trying to hustle because if you pay the extra, you are provided with another pickup window with another "90%" window that they will most likely no make.
If this happens, please ask for a refund once the window is up. When you do, they will tell you that they can't refund your original payment, but they will send it via cash app or Zelle! Sign #2 of horrible business practices. However, since they do not want to lose the down deposit/return the money to your bank (which will cause a flag against their company), they will magically find a driver to come pick your car up. Beware of this company of their slick practices and their representatives fast-talking. They are running a scam, and you do not need them to ship. They will try everything they can to get money out of you or delay your pick-up services as a tactic to get you to pay more. Once you call them out, their reps will ultimately turn on you and start talking to you disrespectfully. WHATEVER you do, don't book. Call around for drivers instead, not brokers! You can cut the middle man out and get your car shipped cheaper and without the scamming.
Remember, if this company takes advantage of you, call and report it to your bank! They are predators. Just know they will respond and say all of these are lies but remember to review the other negative comments, and you will notice a trend.

The company is a scammer . I canceled the service in the same time when I made the payment. I did the dispute in my credit card and the credit card accepted. After the dispute American auto shipping threats me and said I am a criminal. I send all information to the police of Nevada and I will hire a lawyer.

The company refused to meet the conditions of our contract
The company refused to meet the conditions of our contract. This company refused to meet the conditions of our contract! I was moving my car from *** to ***. They have been exceedingly unprofessional and have not done as agreed in the contract, and as delimited below: They did not arrive when they said they would. They did not contact me with an update prior to the new arrival date (and with only a few hours advance warning) They did not provide any information about their time of drop off. They did not drop the car off to the agreed upon location. They are attempting to charge me extra for the distance traveled past delivery in the agreed upon location. They refuse to respond to my concerns over the phone. They continue to be rude by telephone and hang up on me. They have remained unprofessional, despite our contract. This company should not still be allowed to be in operation considering the number of complaints against them on several public sites.

On 02/17 I requested a quote from American Auto shipping and received one for my transport in the amount of $799.00. I accepted that pricing and attached the docs. I was informed to pay $249 immediately to seal the deal and the rest preferably in cash on delivery which would be $550. On the 18th I was informed that my order was assigned to a dispatcher awaiting pickup on a Flat Bed truck. I called several times for updates and on or around the date of 02/25 or 02/26, I was told that AAS upgraded my transport free of charge to me for an "Enclosed" transport for any inconvenience. I received a call from AAS on 03/04 saying that they found a carrier, but I would need to pay $750 on delivery instead of the $550 that was expected. The carrier then showed up on 03/05 in a "Open" Flat bed truck and then left and said he would be back tomorrow morning which he has not. I would like to be refunded the $249 that was paid initially. Per previous complaints, i see similar complaints.

Had a huge problem with the transporter of my vehicles - turned to customer service for assistance - I was treated poorly and DID NOT get assistance I used this company to transport two of my show cars (I even paid extra to have an enclosed carrier) - I do not know what process they use to choice their transporters, but the person/company that showed up, was early, drove over the limited numbers of hours per day that is legally acceptable, and then expected me to there for pick up. Also, he threatened me and my family, and continues to call to collect a "tip." He is very unprofessional and crude. I reached out to customer service for assistance, but, they just kept passing me around to other agents. Also, I was promised a credit and funds for a detailing each vehicle - which I NEVER received. They even blocked my number so I could not call to pursue the issue. Their managers are inept and lack even the most basic level of customer service. The vehicles, when I was finally at the delivery location, were filthy (NOT in the condition I gave them) - dog hair all over the seats (the driver travels with a dog), foot prints all over the truck-bed of the show truck, dirty shoe prints all over the interior (his truck was so small, he had to climb in/out of the windows of the vehicles to move them), etc. A proper detailing for each vehicle cost about $200 each. I did eventually receive a message from a member of their customer service team, but when I called back - he was always "busy," or "helping another customer." A manager NEVER contacted me for resolution. Basically, they DON'T CARE about their customers and it resulted in paying someone to bring my vehicles back to the condition they were in. I never seen such lack of customer service or disregard of helping the customer resolving an issue. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND this company to ANYONE - and I have transported show vehicles dozens of times from all over the US and overseas! The worst part is the harassing calls and threats from the transporter himself. This is unacceptable! He has threatened, cursed at my family members, and threatened to come to my home. This company should know who they hiring for their jobs and assist the customer in resolution and refund the customer when appropriate, especially when it's their contractor/ employee that is behaving like a lunatic.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I have evidence I cancel the service in the same time . The company don’t want give my money back and also put my name in credit agency . I have all emails and also the company never ever respect me .

Great customer service, pricing clearly explained and reasonable. Delivery was faster than expected, which was great! Would definitely use this company again.
Best price I found. Lightning quick pickup and delivery for an across the country transport. Very good communication. Highly pleased.
The service was great; however, the drivers were not on the page as the office. The drivers promised delivery earlier than the office and the office was right.
