I gave my last
I gave my last to this guy named Mark Davis. He was telling me about how he'd pull up with the UPS to send me my money and I never received it. I'm 19 years old yes I still stay at home with my mom and siblings and that was all the money I had .. it really brings me to tears as I write this because I had so much planned and I just can't see why anyone would want to take from somewhere if it's there last. I'm beyond hurt and I need help getting my money back. I work at a minimum wage paying job and I get paid every two weeks. Sometimes my check doesn't even reach 300 dollars and I have to struggle and penny pinch off of that. Someone just help me pls

ACA as this man named Jonathan Gillmore called from Jamaica telling me I won 900, 85000.I asked him how much is he going to charge me to get it? He said nothing.I said your lying. He said you need to trust me because as of Monday morning my life will change. He said hold on I will let you speak with my supervisor who Ironically sounded just like Jonathan accent and all..I told him I have no money so he said they will put money on my credit card so I can send them a fee of 500.00 for a government stamp needed to release the money to me.He gave me a confermation number and check number and his badge ID which probably all bull and told me to trust him. Also said I need to keep this very confidential until he can make the transfer of the 500.00.He Called from this number [protected] I told him your scamming me because your calling from Jamaica. He proceeded to tell me it's Jamaica New York and I said funny because that is not a New York Accent you have.So after looking up the ACA American Cash Award which by the way he told me not to look it up and that I need to trust him.He said the money will be sent to my door accompanied by three Lawyers whose name s are Linder Allen, Bobby White and his supervisors name John Peterson. Also said they are bringing a mercedes Bendz on a flat bed because I won that too.He is still calling and trying to get me to use a royalty number he gave me and Acct number as they say my next step will be to call my credit card company to pay off card.I'm not believing him.I am in disbelief that someone could do this as I am recovering from brain surgery and when I told him that I have no money because of the surgery he said he'd call me back.He called back again and that's when the scam got good and he asked me for money.I'm making this report first so they don't get away with it and second to help others in my position know that you NEVER have to pay to get Money you won and as soon as they start asking you for money it's a scam.I am toying with this man Jonathan because he thinks I'm falling for it but I am just collecting information from him so I can make this report to warn others. Please do not fall for this companies act.Hope the right steps are taken by the BBB to find these people aka professional Con Artists from Different Countries aalso a sign if your ever asked to go to Wal-Mart to send money then you should know your being scammed. Please find these people and punish them to the extent of the Law.
I too have a $17.5 million and a new Mercedes Benz to be collected within the next 8 days. The man in charge, Mr. Austin Brown has tried the "pay off my credit card" so I can send money for fees scam and get the money for me. I called a number given to me for the Bank of America in D.C. a the man answered The Bank of America, and the numbers I gave him proved to be a check that was still available. I called Mr. Brown back and stated the check was available. So far it seems that someone is making a vain attempt to swindle me out of anything I might have and definitely not an honest attempt to present me with any sweepstakes award. They now have on their answer machine a message identifying them as "The American cash awards Global sweepstakes Claims Office. Getting elaborate or just another part of the scam? Should I offer a lawyer 1% of the actual money deposited in my account (as much as $17, 000) to take over and get the job done or at least file suit and win a great deal more. Somebody needs to pay up or lose their freedom to defraud others! Any lawyers that are interested in this offer of a possibly nice big payday I still have 8 days to complete my claim on that check according to the claims manager (Mr. Austin Brown) in the ACAGS Claims office in Texas.
phone call

Also you do not know it but the call is really from Jamaica and you get a LD charge of a considerable amount on your phone bill. I reported the # to ATT. Th American Cash awards wants you to go to Western Union and send them money. For me it was $294.
using publishers clearing house awards as a front - scam
1/30/17- I got a call from a Tim White stating I have wow 2.5 Million and a new Mercedes C Class with 3 month pd insurance. stated the prize patrol was on there way to my home and gave me claim # for winnings after going on for about 20 min, finally got down to the part where i needed to send 792.87 to Lisa Lopez in Florida for my tax stamp cost since the money was coming from Washington and I lived in Colorado. After talking the the manager Paul, told them I need to research the company and asked again for the name of the company, at that time they gave me American Cash Awards.

Said I won $150, 000 from Readers Digest and wanted me to go to Walmart to get an American Express Prepaid gift card for $125 to cover sipping and handling of fees to receive this cashier check. getting money back
yes we're trying to get the money back from the Company called American Cash Awards Giveaways and that a guy named Mr. Oscar White was suppose to Western Union us back $2, 150 but never did and that he needs to be put in Jail or worse hanged and that he can't come through with what he was suppose to do as far as give back the money and be able to give it to Western Union and send it like he says he was suppose to and that he needs to be dealt with. It needs to be done or we are going to lose everything we got and that he needs to deliver the goods or refund our money to us. We are sick and and tired of the ### that he's not coming through with what he says so if you can arrange it to get this straightened out would appreciate it and that he should be dealt with as soon as possible. All we want is our money back if he can't come through with the package. Yours Truly, Russell Bannerman and Suzanne Albertson dissatisfied Customers
cash reward & card
David Brown from Las Vegas, NV (yeah, right) called me over the past 2 days on a landline that I specifically use for 911 calls. I finally answered the call this am and followed his ominous instructions to receive a car and $68K in cash. He stated that I need to see him and his associate, Sheila Johnson, at my apt by 10:30am to verify that he is legit. Spending over 15 min. to clear my conscious and suspicions over being scammed, he called me a stupid sob and why would I refuse free money. I hung up. He couldn't clearly explain a $35 fee to get the UPS numbers from Western Union in order to get the $68K. Five min later, David called again and repeated his spiel, making himself more frustrated as I was. Then he called me a stupid sob again. I hung up & immediately went online for info about these idiotic scammers. David never apologized for calling me a sob twice.
sweepstakes winner phone call
I was contacted on my voicemail by Jack Rosenberg on my telephone number [protected] and told that I won a sweepstakes for the amount of 4.5 million dollars. when I told him I didn't believe him he said he would set up an account for me for $300, 000 and I could pay my credit card payments and that would prove it. I did this only to have the payments turned back to the credit card companies and when I contacted Jack Rosenberg he told me that the delivery charges were $l, 000 plus $200 a day.he said he was in Washington State and his telephone number is [protected] 3. he had me pay the following accounts to Capital One in the amounts of $504.39 and $483.18. also a balance of $1, 024.08 on First Premier Bank card. I found out later that the account that he gave me was Mid-Missouri Bank and the account number was [protected] and the routing number is [protected]. as a result these charges were turned back to my credit cards and now I owe this money and he was trying to get the $1, 000 plus $200 a day. I called Mid-Missouri Bank, gave them the information, they looked up the account and said it was active but it was under someone else's name other than mine. I would like to be reimbursed for these charges. Thank you
I am mad as H my elderly disabled parents were just scammed out of $350.00 by the fake American Cash Award Company. The same spiel as the others they one 250 million and a new white Mercedes all they had to do was wire the shipping fee for the car. So while I was at work they drove 30 miles by the way both parents have cancer& dad had dementia and mom is also an amputee. So they ran to the bank then to Walmart to send yhe cash. When I csme home I called the number and a lady answered and when I said I was my mom the phone went dead so I called back, again a man answered with no company name or anything when I told him I was her daughter he tried to tell me they were a good company with God fearing people. I demanded to talk to this Mary person she was out of the office but he would leave her a message to call me to straighten this out. By the way the number could not be reached from my cell phone. My parents are devasted and could not afford to let go of 350.00 ., they are also embarrassed that they fell for it and my dad with his dementia doesnt understand that it was a scam. I would love to hunt these people down and let the law take hold of them.
using publishers clearing house awards as a front
4/9/2016 8:30am, someone ID'ed himself as (Mr. Robert Nelson) said I had won the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes. $2.5Million dollars, a new Cherry Red Malibu Truck and $7, 000 a month for life. Very convincing with phone #[protected] (I looked it up while on the phone with him), it is in Jamaica. When I asked how the weather was in Jamaica, he said he was calling from Port Washington, NY. He supplied a check number of the award, an access #, and a package # and said it would be delivered to my house today since I said I wanted a private delivery.
Then he said I would have to pay 10% taxes up front of $499.99. (10% of 2.5 million is $250, 000). When I said no, he became upset and asked if I wanted to speak to his manager. I said yes, and was transferred to a Mr. John Kerry (seriously?). After going into lengthy explanation of why I had to pay the $499.99 he transferred me back to (Robert Nelson). I still said no to the taxes and he tried to get me to give him names and phone #'s to give fake award to. When I said no, he hung up.
I did not give them any money, all I lost was a little time in my morning. However, you should always be on the lookout for this type of Scam, especially if you are over 50.
saying you won millions of dollars
Omg they just keep calling even though you tell them that you look their company up on the Internet and it says scam but they are rentless.American Cash Awards.I told them if you got to pay money to get money it a scam, don't think they believe I would not fall for their scam...not
I rec'd similar phone call. Scammer . Also876 522 2957 phone number.name given Peter Washington, badge3555xy661145. States he is a manager for American sweepstakes organization. I supposedly won 8.5 million and a 2016 Mercedes station wagon with my choice of color. Just need to give 375.00 dollars in form of money gram or western union, to pay for ups delivery of Mercedes.. Wouldn't accept C.O.D., , Gee, wonder why not... Well, good night, Don't fall for these idiots.
I too just received one of those calls saying that I had won millions and a car. I was told we had to pay over $300 to them for taxes that would be owed to the government. I told them that if I won something, I won something and to just give it to me. I also said that if I owed taxes on any money I won or recieved, I would pay the taxes myself. The man hung up on me when I told him that I didn't have any money to pay anyone, and that our Christmas was looking pretty slim right now. I don't trust these guys!
offer of 3.5 mil w/fee of $3500 & expensive car
I have received an unsolicited phone call telling me I have won 3.5 mil dollars and a 2014 Mercedes. Requested I submit $3500 - never got an answer as to where it was to be sent. Due to my refusal to send money to anyone they (I spoke to 3 different people trying to convince me this was legitimate) devised a different method which was to purchase a green...

I received a call from James Nelson claiming that he worked with American Cash Awards and the were through the Better Business Bureau located in Washington DC but calling from a 876 Jamaica area code. He told me that i won a cash prize of $350, 000 and a brand new 2013 Mercedes Benz. They would cover everything all i had to cover was 1% which was $300 and i would receive my prize the same day by UPS. I asked how did i win and he said because i was frequent shopper at Walmart, Kroger and CVS. I told him to take the money out of the cash prize and he said that couldnt and that the 1% was to cover shipping and handling. He had a heavy accent and asked when i could i western union him the money. I said i didnt have it and he said thats fine. He would hold my prize until i have the money but i have to give him a date of when i will be able to send the $300. To make a long story short, i goggle the and saw that they werent registered with bbb.org and saw alot of scam reports. When he called back i gave him a piece of my mind. He hung up and called back 15mins later as if the previous conversation never happened. He's very persistent and seems genuine but this is a scam people. Please be careful an do not give away any of your money. If you really won a prize, you wouldnt have to pay for anything and they would have to notify the IRS because you will have to pay taxes on your prize. This is a scam

I got a phone call from a Dante Santario representing American Cash Awards, saying that I had received an award for $3.5 million dollars and a 2021 BMW. I "only" had to come up with 20 thousand dollars to pay for the "taxes" on the award. I very foolishly took out a $12, 000 loan to pay for this last month. Now the first payment on the loan is coming due next month, and I don't have the funds to cover it! The guy seemed reasonable and assured me I will receive my award. I'm very worried that I won't be receiving anything from him! And I'm up to my eyeballs in debt!
I have had the same thing just happened to me, i bought a gift card for $200.00 yesterday 02/23/22, and now i had to get a loan for 300.00 for the rest of it for another card, but he said they would bring the car as soon as i gave him the $300, i haven't done it yet on the 300 just the 200, then i looked up this site and saw all these complaints and so i probably will not give the $300 to him, so if no one ever got the car or the millions of dollars then i probably won't either, so i am DONE!
I hope we can get them stopped & closed down. A lot of people & their families are being hurt by this.
I have been getting the same type of phone calls sayin I have won a Benze and SEVERAL million dollars. They are having me send money $10 -
$500 to different people & places such as Jamaica, Az, . & Cal, But if this is American Cash Awards why is most of their calls from Kingston, Jamaica? I have been trying to trace all of the 876 numbers but cant get any info. Any ideas of what to do? I have tried to block their numbers but they are always getting thru!
I was just contacted by a heavily accented man phone #[protected]. He stated that I won 5 million dollars and gave me a package code number and a name and address to send a money order or moneygram of $2000 (at first it was $2300). I am to send it to Willie Reese, 115 E Waters Street, Plymouth, NC 27962. And a phone number of [protected]. He was very persistent and tried to corner me to a time frame for sending the money. I told him that he can bring me the money and the car then I would see about the $2000. He told me to listen and to do what he says and to do it fast. Also not to talk to anyone else about this transaction. He just kept pushing until I hung up on him. He immediately called back twice and I didn't answer. I have been getting calls continuously for the last month form Jamaica, NY, AZ, NV, FL, etc.. I answered some of them and it is always a heavily accented person calling me Miss Peggy. I have blocked all of the numbers that I can but they still get thru by using a different number.
They called me today. Told me I had won $700, 000 and a benz. They gave me confirmation, claim, serial, and other numbers to claim my prize with and wanted me to call another phone number for his company, and strangely, ask for the name he had given me earlier as his own.He also gave me 2 different last names for himself during an earlier part of the conversation. I never called the second number. I googled them and saw all the scam reports. He called a second time but I didn't answer.

Contacted by Bruce Golden, who claimed to be the manager. Said he was calling from Louisville, MS. Never got to first base with me, although he offered me $2.5 million dollars and a brand-new Mercedes. Said he needed the verification of my name and other information in order to send me a check for $925. Sure he was...
WE ALSO ORDERED PRODUCT AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT AND NOONE ANSWERS THE PHONE TO LISTED NUMBERS. VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT A COMPANY WOULD TAKE ADVANTAGE OF KIDS TRYING TO HELP THEM AND THEMSELVES. PRETTY CRAPPY.
i have called the magazine companies to which i subscribed through american cash awards in oct. 2008. they have never received my orders.

I too, have received phone calls from a phone number registered in Jamaica. The man identified himself as JOHN WASHINGTON. This man had a very heavy accent and was difficult to understand. He informed me that he was from winners's international and my phone number was selected from 2000 numbers to receive a cash award of 2.5 million dollars as the second...

I was approached by a really friendly "student" at Texas A&M, selling magazines to go on a field trip with one of the supposed organizations at A&M. Should've know this was a scam, he was unbelievably charming, and I don't think any true Aggies would really play a part in a scam like this. It's in our Honor Code for crying out loud "An Aggie does not lie, cheat or steal, or tolerate those who do.” . Anyways, I paid $63 for a subscription to Jack and Jill to be sent to the local children's hospital. I sent my cancellation in before the 3 day cancellation window because felt uneasy about the purchase after all. I have been in contact with a representative twice, maybe three times a month since September 09. I got excuses ranging from we havent received your proof of payment, to it takes a long time for mail to reach them as they are in the Rockies. When I finally made some progress in November, the lady I spoke to said that my refund would be received in 4-6 weeks. I expected it around Christmas, and got nothing. Called in January, was told they were really backed up over the holidays and they hadn't sent my refund out. Called again in February and March, "there's no progress on your refund" and the last time I called, I was hung up on. I finally filed a complaint with the BBB, and guess what?:
"Thank you for contacting your BBB regarding your dispute. BBB records show that this company is out of business. Either the companys mail has been returned with no forwarding order or BBB files show that the company has confirmed it is out of business. Unfortunately, this means that we are unable to assist you in resolving your dispute."
This is absolutely ridiculous. They're out of business, but they don't mind taking more people's money. Looks like I'm never getting my refund back. I will never buy from ANY type of door to door salesmen again. They're all snakes. I encourage everyone to do the same.

scam
There was a young man who came to my house to sale subscriptions to different magazines of your choice, I really did'nt need any but he was trying to raise money for a school fuction or something to that effect. So I wanted to help, anyone who's trying to better theirselves im all for it. I wrote him a check for 111.00, four months ago and never recieved those magazines. It's a shame people can do that and sleep at night. It just made me more aware of people and I won't be buying anymore doore to door sales.

You people are so illiterate. Read your reciepts. They clearly state it may take several months before you start recieving your subscriptions. I went through this contest with U.S.A., Inc. and it was a wonderful experience. My family bought a couple and they recieved their subscriptions. Futhermore, for your information, the company that sponsers this contest (Unique Subscription Agency, Inc.) is not a "scam" nor is it illegal so go ahead and contact the district attorney you hebetudinous [censor].
Christopher D. Perry
No doubt... this "Unique Subscription Agency, Inc." pulled that same garbage on me. Difference between me and the last complaint... I will absolutely be taking legal action against them. This is why we have a justice dept. within our government. I intend to push this issue to the point of the scammers being jailed. If they have done this to us... they are doing it all the time. Most don't follow through with finding them... contacting them and complaining to them. They make that extremely difficult. An answering machine that allows for no messages and only tells you... The name... then hangs up... the hours they claim to be open... yeah, still they never answer. Anyone know the District Attorney in Kittredge, Colorado? I will shortly :)
no magazines, no refund
A young man approached my 16 year old daughter concerning buying magazine subscriptions. She was with her 18 year old sister. She felt sorry for the man and signed up. She borrowed the money from her sister. When they got home I hit the roof. Two days later I sent all information for refund. After 4 weeks or hearing nothing I called and was told the refund...

Have made repeated attempts to contact anyone, email, website comments, telephone. no luck. these people screwed up my order and are apparently not available to fix the problem. total rip off artists.
called [protected], got things sorted out. they fixed the order, had to get different mag since they didn't carry the one i originally ordered, plus they gave me an extra mag free. i wish they would put that phone number on the site, because thats the only way to get anything done. emails etc no one responds to.

If the above comment doesn't work, call your credit card company and they will reimburse your money. Tell them they sent you the wrong product, and they won't respond to you, and you want your money back and you are or already have sent back what they sent you. All credit cards have the protection service, and it doesn't take long a all to get your money back. .. I hope that helps.
scam - magazine sales
A bubbly girl was selling magazines door to door (to supposedly help her get out of inner city life through a program that helps people to make a better life) and I foolishly bought a subscription for $75. I knew I should have stop paid the check right away. I should have reviewed online right away but didn't. Now I have no magazine and the run around. I called the number on the back of the receipt and the girl was very unprofessional, kept excusing herself from the phone (to sneeze) and I was put on hold a lot. Then she tells me American Cash Award is no longer working with SB Magazines, who apparently is the real person who cashed my check. They provided a phone number and address for this person so I called. The man who answered took my information and said they will send a refund by the end of this week. I don't expect to receive anything as I'm sure this is all just a scam.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I bought a 3 yeasr subscription for SB too. The rep's name was Marvin Sparks. This was in July 2010 an I never received anything. the number on the slip goes to a voicemail with a lady that uses poor grammar and the voicemail is always full. I did some research and found home information for Lucius Pierce. It is 2707 Taylorcrest, Missouri City, TX 77459. His home # is listed as [protected]. I plan to call him tomorrow to make his Thanksgiving real nice and I WILL be getting my money back. I talked to Sonia Byrd who is showing is witht the company and she told me that she left that company 3 years ago and gave me a number to contact Lucius at [protected]. I called it and no id on voicemail but is a good number. Hope this helps anyone else that got ripped off. I have a lot more info on him. Let me know what you need!
similar issues-got results!
I share the same experience with those entires listed around me, except so far I have recieved communication from them about my refund.
Family Subscriptions, one of the magazine companies, no longer uses American Cash Awards as their clearing house. They have set up their own in Missouri.
The number to call is [protected]
If you aren't using Family subscriptions, then contact American Cash Awards, not by the # on the back of the reciept, but use this one:
[protected]. I spoke with a Tanga Monore. She was very helpful in explaining the split and giving me the other info.
Haven't recieved my money back yet, but they tell me it will be in about a week or so. At least I feel like I got somewhere so far.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
So did you get your refund or is it still in the mail?
MIDWEST CIRCULATION LLC:
Just had a "Corey Ward" slick-talk us into this now-known scam. The company was at least 'trying' to look legit by providing info on the receipt: Midwest Circulation LLC, 506 Northland Drive, Cameron, MO, 64429 ... [protected] and a second phone and fax #. But a quick web search on the phone number revealed several recent posts of people here trying to contact it regarding an "American Cash Awards" program with a similar M.O.
For a good M.O. description of these programs, look at this blog I found. (see http://listofscams.blogspot.com/2009/07/door-to-door-magazine-sales-is.html )
Corey even introduced his "handler" as he passed us by in a big white van with Missouri tags (in our state of North Carolina), and they greeted each other. Corey may be one of the one's being scammed in this.
A Google Map of the address reveals a vague address, possibly of a strip mall.
Phoning the number gets a constant voicemail.
We are going to simply cancel the check and switch our bank account. I'd rather have the hassle of doing that, than the hassle of an identity scam.
