I PURCHASED A NEW COUCH - 10/15/2010 AT AMERICAN FURNITURE WAREHOUSE IN LAKEWOOD, CO
I ASKED TO RECEIVE A WRITTEN WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE FOR ANY MALFUNCTION, WITH THE NEW COUCH THAT MAY OCCUR, WITHIN A TIME LIMIT PROVIDED BY WHOMEVER.
I TALKED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHERE I PURCHASED THIS COUCH AND HE SAID THERE IS NO PAPERWORK SHOWING THE WARRANTY, THAT HE CAN GIVE TO ME. HE GAVE ME AN ORAL EXPLANATION OF THE WARRANTY BUT I WANT SOMETHING IN B/W (WRITING) MAILED TO MY APARTMENT. HE COULD NOT COMPLY WITH MY REQUEST SO I WILL FIND OUT WHO WILL BE ABLE TO MAIL ME A WRITTEN WARRANTY, IN CASE SOMETHING GOES WRONG WITH MY NEW COUCH. I NEED TO KNOW THE DETAILS OF A WARRANTY AND WHOM TO CONTACT.
As an employee of American Furniture Warehouse I am well aware that we do not have a warranty on paper. We have a full year warranty against any kind of manufacturers defects and limited lifetime warranty on defects of any frames/springs for any of our upholstery. We are more than happy to pick up and refund any customers merchandise if they are not satisfied with their purchase. We have a fully staffed customer service department to insure customer satisfaction. We have been in business for 35 years with a BBB rating of A+. We pride ourselves on taking care of our customers and will be around for many years to come.
Hey Edward sounds like you have had a bad experience buying furniture somewhere else? All retailers give customers a one-year warranty on what they sell against factory defects. This would be against fabric and seams and also against the frame, springs and cushion cores. Now this is always without paperwork and all other retailers try to sell you an extended warranty to get more money out of you! Its called making more profit above the high prices you pay everywhere else!
I have found that American Furniture Warehouse has the best prices anywhere in the country and what is awesome is they don’t try to sell you an extended warranty! In fact if you have seen one of Jakes latest commercials he say’s that the warranty is “lifetime” on the frame and springs of the sofa! Now I know that’s the life of the sofa and not my lifetime! Lol So that means that if you trash your sofa in 6 months and want them to fix it I bet that wont happen but if the sofa looks great and a spring breaks in two years or even five years AFW would take care of you! And I’m sure the fabric and other stuff is still one year because they don’t know if it’s just you or a family of 12 and wear it out much faster?
Another good thing when you buy at American furniture Warehouse is they have an A+ business rating which means they make sure you are happy with your purchase. I have bought all my furniture from AFW and I will always buy and tell my friends and family to buy from AFW!
A verbal warranty is meaningless. No legitimate company operates this way. I just bought a Graham recliner at Big Lots with an American Furniture Manufacturing tag on it. The salesman told me I could sign up for the lifetime warranty on the website, but I cannot find anything about warranties on the website, which they list as www.americanfurn.net. I am going to email them and see if I can get something in writing. If I cannot and I have a problem that Amer. Furn. will not respond to, that will be the last time I buy from them plus I will register a complaint with the BBB. Sounds like a couple of employees for the company making comments above. At least one admits it.
While they are reasonably priced, I have to add the old saying "You get what You pay for" I've found My cushions have completely gone to Crap after Two years of use. Granted, It wasn't the most expensive Couch ((800.00) but, still, one would think You'd get longer than Two years.. Yes, it is used every day, but My Husband and I don't treat Couches like we use to like in our Younger days. HA HA. We also don't have kids or Grandkids. We simply sit. My point...Their products could be made much better
